I expect it to suck. But I paid for it rather than streaming it. I never watched ECW but loved One Night Stand the first one, so maybe it will be fun.
The first match is FBI vs Simon diamond, Kid Kash, and some Swinger guy I've never heard of. Yay.
Ill fill you guys in as it goes <_<

Also the FBI guys are Nunzio, some old guy named Tracy Smothers, Tony Mamaluke (it sounded like they said Tony Luke but Im pretty sure Ive heard of Tony Mamaluke so Im assuming its him), and some big fat guy.
Im probably making ECW fans wanna kill me right now if we have any here <_<

For some reason everything is blue. Like during the match. It is very confusing. What is this an Undertaker entrance?

And now everybody is dancing with music playing. In the middle of a match. 0_0

So um...after a three minute dance session with the FBI....the referee decided to help Kid Kash and get on his knees so Kash could springboard outside the ring...
I am confused.

It was a great PPV, loved most of it.
This is what pro wrestling needs today, that is why Freeman doesn't get it.
Oh well, the casuals moved on to UFC. Smarks, you run the show now and that is why pro wrestling is in the sad state that it is in. This also translates into efedding because when interest wanes in the real thing, the same happens to efeds. Enjoy being around for the plunge back into obscurity.
I'll always fondly remember the rock 'n wrestling era in the 80's and the nWo/Attitude Era/ECW era in the 90's and appreciate I was there for the ride.
The rest of you enjoy your AIDS.

1999-2002 was the best years for wrestling. At least since I've been watching. The actual wrestling may not have been world class, but damn, it was entertaining.

I dunno Kiss I think you've got me wrong. I LIKED some of it. I thought the Dudleys match (lightsabers!) the Dreamer/Raven match and the Sabu/RVD match were all very entertaining and good. The rest of the show was lackluster though and ONS was a lot better as a whole.
Honestly I wouldnt mind if TNA went down that route a bit but it honestly seemed more like old TNA than current TNA. Like how there used to be all of the fun Abyss hardcore matches which are gone now. The whole show in general was not my favorite but Id rather TNA do this than the stuff they have on Impact which is a mess.
Fortune sucks. The TV/global/legends title is a mess and shouldnt exist. The knockouts tag belts are useless because they are rarely used. The Knonkouts division sucks now when it used to be great. X division is useless now when it used to be the best part of TNA.The one thing I love right now is the tag belts. machine guns and beer money have torn the house down five matches in a row and they singlehandedly have me wanting to watch Impact but the rest of the show needs a fixing up.
Long story short I think the general direction of tonights show was fun while strange and would rather tna take that route than its current one.

It was a fun PPV, the Sabu/RVD, Dreamer/Raven, and the 2 Cold/CW matches were all fun. 2 Cold Scorpio still has it, despite having been around forever, he pulled off some really nice moves in that match.
Also, the FBI(and Smothers especially) did engage in the occasional dance off in ECW(and elsewhere). There really wasn't a dud on the card, although I think we could have done without the fake Meanie. If that really was the last ECW reunion event, I think they went out on a high note.

I don't understand why the real Meanie didn't show up. He was on camera and didn't say anything about prior engagements...so why not show (unless he no-showed and the fake was a last minute deal).
I thought the show was great, it had a little bit of everything. The dance off and light-saber dual (which made me think of that match in ACW with AK and colored light tubes oddly enough) added comedy which wrestling is missing nowadays. That is, the real type of wrestling comedy and not stupid Hornswoggle and DX crap. The Raven / Dreamer match was really good despite their age, and it was booked well in Raven winning. Then you had the return of Sabu who did fill in incredibly well for Lynn even though RVD really lacks a lot of ring psychology, and Sabu pretty much carried the match.
This isn't even including the New Jack sighting (complete with the music playing during his beatdown) and a Sandman / JC cane fight. The only thing I hated was the censoring of pretty much everything name wise, although that can't be helped now that the WWE 'ate' the ECW brand. The lighting was a great touch too.
I have to agree with TK for once and say that wrestling needs a LOT more of this type of thing. To me, ECW was always what wrestling was about. It was low budget, for the fans, and overall very entertaining without resulting to corporate tactics (see: anything WWE does). I really do hope Dreamer can take Russo's spot, I would love to see some type of real rebirth for ECW. I'm not talking about showcasing the old guys anymore, but bringing back what ECW was. They could do it, TNA is still small compared to WWE, and they have a lot of young talent. The only thing they need is a good crowd and some better commentators (Tenay specifically needs to go). On that note, I wish they could get Styles since WWE is doing NOTHING with his talents which is very sad.

Thing about your last paragraph, VorteX, is that I would love TNA to go down the ways that ECW did, but I don't want them to be what ECW was. And that's the problem with TNA. It can do WCW, it can do ECW, but I've not seen it do TNA for four or five years or so now. It needs to stop trying to be like something else, and be itself again.

I tend to not go on wrestling message boards these days because the total combined 4.0 of wrestling fans that still actually watch equate into the biggest bunch of retards to ever ride on a short bus.
I figure half the shit posted is "LULZ, HE'S SO OLD AND FAT" and I'd probably be right.
While it is true these guys are getting older and fatter, they come from an era that knows how to actually entertain people, unlike the current gen. I'd take the old and fat guys over what is out there now because they know how to make things fun. I was watching this -
- which shows what happened when the PPV goes off the air. There are the people, singing, drinking and shaking plastic heads. That is what wrestling is supposed to represent. Not a bunch of guys who don't know how to stand out from one another. So you can take your five star matches, your hoax "pro wrestling hall of fame" and shove them up your ass. They mean as much to me as the shit on a piece of toilet paper. Same with the great 3 point ratings because that shit is weak.
Vince killed professional wrestling by buying WCW and ECW. Those two groups combined had more fans than the WWE and in true retard fashion, he didn't bring these fans into his organization but instead killed them off. He is not a great business man, he is the ultimate man child who loves to bury things to satisfy his ego. That is why the dumb fuck sits on 3 point something ratings these days (when he used to have double that amount) that and the fact he has no more people like Paul Heyman to rape ideas from.
