Match 5: Thunderkiss vs. Alicia Laureano
It’s the big one, main event time… and this is certainly a match loaded with significance. The fans can’t seem to decide between reverence and wildness as Philip enters the ring.
Philip: Ladies and Gentlemen, our main event this evening is an intergender singles match, set for one fall. Introducing first, from London, England… Alicia “Atomic” Kitsune!
”I’m a Bomb” hits, and after a few seconds AK comes out, to a loud and appreciative pop. She pauses, and for a moment considers that this will be one of the last times she experiences the true ACW atmosphere first-hand… so even though she is unsure precisely what this match will bring, she walks to the ring with a spring in her step, and circles the corners, soaking up a bow wave of camera flashes in the process.
Then, the music changes, to a familiar theme which brings the crowd close to meltdown.
I was born on Olympus To my father a son I was raised by the demons Trained to reign as the one ...
The lights dim and silhouettes from two strippers can be seen dancing on the side Alpha Tron screens. Thunderkiss' video plays on the center one as the man himself makes his way through the entranceway, and down the ramp, belt on shoulder.
Philip: And her opponent, from San Fernando, California…. He is your ACW World Champion, the Worldbreaker, THUN-DER-KISS!
God of thunder and rock and roll The spell you're under Will slowly rob you of your virgin soul!
Reaching the ring. Thunderkiss performs his normal poses; there is a hint of tension in him, but as the music dies away, he reverts to his cool, collected self. He’s made a promise to himself, and he intends to keep it.
Philip takes his leave as Raymond Allen Fleming enters to oversee this one, and it’s all systems go.
Bell Rings.
The crowd manages to calm itself down just enough for everyone to get back in their seats as the bell fades, and RAF gives both competitors one of his stern “I’ve got your number” looks which would scare the eyebrows off many a man. Thus informed, TK makes the first move, accelerating off his mark with a speed rarely seen in such a large wrestler; his gambit almost works, as Alicia has to duck and roll to avoid getting clotheslined clear across the ring. TK skids to a halt and twists, and now it’s his turn to dodge as instead of standing up Alicia says low and slashes with an extended leg, trying to knock her foe off of his feet. Kiss jumps over it, and Alicia quickly nips up and lunges with a high kick to the chest. The angle of attack triggers an involuntary reaction in the Worldbreaker; he turns away, covering his face without realizing he’s doing it, and Alicia connects with the upper part of his arm. She flushes red for a moment, the circumstances stirring painful memories for both of them…
The pause becomes an error, as TK refuses to bend under the weight of past actions, and grabs Alicia’s leg before she can withdraw it, pulling her close so that he can execute a simple but extremely strong powerbomb, setting up the first pin of the match. It gets a 2 before Alicia raises her shoulder; there is a definite sense that she’s doing her best to be as economical on energy as possible, and she rolls neatly aside before TK can follow up on the pin with a second attack. The World Champ senses he needs to be quick and rises without delay – but Alicia has opened the taps and got to the ropes on the far side, hitting them as fast and as hard as she can. The result is that she half runs, half flies across the ring, launching herself into a headscissors takedown; it’s a huge gamble, but it pays off spectacularly when TK can’t stop her momentum to reverse into a power move, and is hurled roughly into a roll across the mat. He ends up smack in the corner, and the crowd starts to get noisy as Alicia raises her hand and signals the Liger Kick as TK struggles to stand. She cartwheels athletically into the strike and this time TK does take the blow to the head – but instead of being dazed, he overcomes the effect, and lifts AK up from her handstand position, taking a step out of the corner before executing his 69 Shot Spike Piledriver (notably without excessive crotch contact). Alicia’s limbs lose their tension for a moment and TK pins a second time, 1…2-

The second pin break has a lot more fire, and so do Alicia’s eyes; using one of her trademark touches, she shoves her upturned palm upward into TK’s chin, snapping his head back and disorientating him for a moment, allowing her to slip out from underneath him. On her feet in a fraction of a second, TK realizes that he’s wide open for a clear kick, but instead Alicia hops from foot to foot, not so much taunting the champion as willing him to stand. The Thundermaniacs, by this point, are roaring for their leader to do just that. Rising in leonine fashion, TK cuts an imposing figure indeed – so most of the arena is convinced that spike has knocked a screw or two loose when Alicia firms her stance and invites a grapple. For a moment, TK wonders if Alicia is being sarcastic, but he swiftly realizes she’s serious…
What looks likely to be the shortest test of strength in ACW history thus commences. The outcome can surely never have been in doubt – but just about everyone is surprised that Alicia is able to withstand the incredible pressure for a clear five or six seconds before her arms and legs begin to buckle. Having previously paid attention to Alicia’s preferred techniques, TK accurately predicts an attempted “Spin the Bottle” reversal; he resists, and instead sends Alicia careering into the nearest set of ropes. The fans’ breath is stolen for a moment or two by the force and, it must be said, technical excellence of the side slam which follows; the ‘maniacs want something big, and TK signals the Fall from Glory (Atomic Leg Drop) –
But things can shift in just a single moment, and this is one of those times, as Alicia smartly gets out of the way and there is only canvas to greet TK as he lands. Even as he does so, Alicia rockets to the corner, leaps up on to the top of the post, and then produces a gorgeous Kodak moment with the Ground Zero (450 splash); TK gets rather too closely acquainted with the matting, and Alicia grabs the chance to pin, 1..2- TK kicks out, and Alicia hops up and drops both knees on to his chest before trying again. Another 2 count, and this time TK practically throws her clear; he jumps up, energy surging, and the fans press at the barriers, desperate to see what will happen next.
Needing to catch her breath, Alicia backs up to the ropes, then to the corner. TK understandably doesn’t want her to recover, and pursues; needing a quick exit, Alicia digs out an old “party trick” and gets up on the turnbuckle, performing a neat rope-run across to the next post along. TK keeps chasing, so Alicia sets off again – and then draws a pop from the fans by reversing her direction of travel, mid-way along the rope, so that TK misses her once again. The Thundermaniacs yell for AK to get down and fight; a sizable number of the remaining crowd members taunt the ‘maniacs in turn, and there is a slight pause as a bit of tit-for-tat shouting and chanting commences. Alicia smiles, and can’t resist posing elegantly on top of the post; TK puts his hands on his hips, and then pointedly walks over to the opposite corner. The crowd’s vocalizations become more quizzical as the Worldbreaker clambers up top – it’s hardly his natural environment, after all – and holds his arms out, testing his weight on the rope…

The crowd, understandably, is not quite able to believe what TK is about to try and do; but they roar him on regardless. Taking a deep breath, Kiss launches himself; his gait is wobbly, and he takes each step with trepidation, the ropes and posts groaning – but he manages to get about halfway across before his balance fails, and he has to jump back down into the ring for his own safety. The sheer audacity of it causes the crowd to explode with fierce delight; TK holds his arms aloft, and Alicia raises an eyebrow and nods, now standing in the ring. She catches TK’s eye, and mimes rolling her sleeve up; this just sends the crowd even more wild with the sheer pageantry of it all.
Something connects between them in that moment. It’s not a conscious thought, more of a feeling in the gut… the sense of an audience hanging on every precious second. It’s what they’ve always had in common, without truly realizing it…
It’s as if someone has lit the blue touch paper, and the fuse has burnt down; the match bursts into full and vibrant colour as all bets are off, and both Alicia and TK unleash everything in their respective arsenals on one another. The power of TK’s punches makes Alicia’s world shake to its foundation; she struggles to retain some kind of grip on time and space, but somehow does so, and retaliates with a huge leaping knee to the bridge of TK’s nose which makes him reel back against the ropes. The World Champion’s body becomes a riot of pain as Alicia blasts him with rib kicks, and then a massive dropkick; TK tips over the ropes, but he too holds on, and rights himself, dodging Alicia as she tries to send him to the outside. The battle returns square to the centre; TK’s depth perception, although hugely improved, makes it tough at close quarters to track his faster opponents, and they don’t come much faster than the Atomic one as she looks for a way to breach his defences. Parry follows thrust, over and over – and then suddenly Alicia is gone, having slipped past her foe. The noise peaks as TK whips around, and is met with the Gamengiri; it takes both of them to the mat, and the fans go berserk as Alicia signals for the Nagata Lock 1. She hooks the leg up, and drops – and at the same time, TK lunges and grabs the bottom rope, forcing the break before Alicia can lock the hold.
Everything happens in a kind of blur; foiled, Alicia simply won’t give up that easily, and goes for broke. She scrambles up, and as TK is using the ropes to do the same, she lines up and lets fly with the EMP. It’s coming toward TK’s blindside, literally…
More on instinct than clear sense, TK blocks with one hand, and delivers the Kickstart My Heart (heart punch) with the other. Alicia flies back a couple of feet before hitting the mat, and TK knows what to do; he tracks over to her, and gathers all his energy before nailing the Heaven’s Door. The fans go nuts, and TK drops at once into the pin, using his whole body in the cover –

Alicia stirs, and tries to kick groggily, but TK physically keeps her shoulders pressed down.
3.
Philip: Here is your winner…. THUNDERKISS!!
”God of Thunder” hammers out of the speakers; the crowd cheers unreservedly for a magnificent match. Worn down by superior power rather than savagery, Alicia doesn’t take too long to recover her senses; RAF checks her state as she sits up, satisfying himself that no long-term damage has been done. This completed, he hands the World Title to its owner, and the crowd threatens to spill over the barriers again as Thunderkiss holds it aloft so that his fans can get the clear view, the image which will stay in their minds long after tonight…
As for Alicia, defeat still stings a little; if it didn’t she would have left long before now. But she feels a kind of contentment nonetheless, and exits the ring quietly in reflective mood, to the victor the spoils, as it should be.
She is halfway up the ramp when she feels his hand on her shoulder, and turns. It’s sometimes said that the deeper the feeling, the fewer words are needed to express it.
”Alicia…I’m sorry”.
She looks at him, and is sure that he sees things more clearly now with his one eye than he ever did with two.
“I know. Thankyou, Kiss.”
They look upon one another a moment more, and then part, a weight lifted off of both their shoulders.
Fade to black.
End of show.

Disclaimer: With this show I will now begin my new show write up entitled “TK’s Picks.” Here, I will make a list of five of the show’s roleplays that caught my eye, in no particular order. Now first and foremost, I just want to tell everyone that these picks are of course my opinion. My opinion is neither right or wrong its just what I think. So if you don’t make the list, please do not feel that I did not like you, what you wrote or that your promos were not as good as the one’s I have listed. I really don’t want people to get discouraged over things like these. Please, please realize that with the amount of talented writers that we have it’s a super tough job picking out just five promos - and this show was not an easy start. TK'S PICKS! - “Midcard Buddies for Life!” by Durden / T-Kiss: Durden mark out! It’s great to see ol’ Nick Charisma back! We totally pulled our joint promo off and as far as back and forth banter goes, that was one of the better promos I’ve ever written in that regards.
- “Introducing....Solkiss! WTF?!” by Blaine: We’ve had some awesome newcomers over the past few months and Blaine is no exception. I like how he has jumped right in and started writing about veterans right away. He is also very witty in his writing which makes reading promos more enjoyable. Shades of FSX to a degree. I also am anticipating his first feud.
- “An Exclusive from Meltdown” by Rattlesnake: As far as “goodbye” promos go, Snake’s was perhaps one of the more memorable one’s I’ve read. Sometimes I feel its ok to break kayfabe, this promo supports my belief. Thanks for the parting words Snake, you will be missed.
- “Provocation” by Lucrezia / Richmond. Sarin and Richmond have started something very, very interesting. I want to totally know more, a sign of excellent story telling. Since her return, Sarin has done totally amazing things with her fingers.
- “Prelude to an Epilogue” by AK: AK’s retirement announcement was a tough read. If I was a long time AK fan in attendance I would have totally been tearing up. I also am very curious to see what her last match will be and what will happen afterwards. Who knows, maybe we can throw a joint baby shower.
Thunderous Quote of the Show: Ladies and gentlemen, the one ... the only ... Captain Fantastic: Tim: Great! Are we going to a strip club or something? Maybe we could get a prostitute at the flea market! I heard from my buddy on AIM they have a great stock of hentai and cheap Japanese women! I bought this costume of Chun Li online that I could dress her up in for extra! And no, I have no idea what he is talking about >_>

I know I saddened people (myself included) when I made my last two segments, but I feel I had to offer some closure as opposed to just flat out dropping him with no explanation. I hope it suffices, but if anyone feels I should do a random segment of how his life is going after the fact, I don't think that would be out of the question. Mind you, I won't do it every show. That's pretty much overkill and ruins the whole idea.

FAVOURITE PARTS OF THE SHOW: 1. Durden returns! =D Yay for the Durdenator! At first I thought it was 004 when I saw the clues. <_< But yay for Nick!
2. Me Winning. [Oh come on, who doesn't enjoy winning?]
3. Thunderkiss's segments in general. He never fails to own. Particularly Baby Shopping, that was a good read.
4. Jake Cheng's Guitar Hero/Kidnapping segment was well-written and exciting and is making for an interesting storyline.
5. The Main Event was kickass even if it had a WTF ending.
