I really like the detail that's put into writing these great matches, but at times my eyes just can't take 8 big chunks of text with only one line of spacing inbetween each. Maybe there could be some breaks inbetween these paragraphs to add commentator speech or something? Just a thought to make the matches a little bit more readable.
Also, when writing pinfalls, like "1......2........kickout!" I find that it would be much more exciting to do it vertically like:
1! . . . . 2!!!! . . . . . . . . KICKOUT!!!!!
Just to create that little bit of extra suspense for the people the slowly scroll down 1 line at a time as they read. Of course this should probably be done near the ends of matches where the nearfalls are, otherwise it would take up too much space in the posts.

Well we don't do that because we write matches so that there's a lot of pinfalls during the match. We don't have commentry because since we started we just never added it (unless you count the GFWCW stuff).
Look at the PPV 'Fallen Heroes' and the match involving Vinnie Dulario. I think that's what you're saying we should add?

Hmmm I think those are some good points. I could increase the text size on here maybe make it alittle bigger to be easier on everyone's eyes. I do like the vertical pinfall idea but maybe only used sparingly.
Scratch that text size idea I don't think I can do it. Hmm must of been changed when proboards made the update.

We have commentators but Senator mostly uses them, maybe if he becomes a mod he can add them into matches. But it would take too much time.

Yea I think the main reason for no commentators is becuase it would just be repeating what was just written you know? Also I think the commentators would be kind of dull since it would be hard to create an actual personality for them considering a different person would write for them during every match.

I don't think having commentators means that they would just be repeating things. In fact, if you add commentary, you can just make them give some information and add a little bit of life to a 2 page match. They can talk about what just happened in the show, or something that's coming up, or just maybe some background information on the competitors. Only on big spots do they have to mention anything about moves being done. They can also help to create an atmosphere or improve on one during a match with a few lines like, "My god, these men have been going at it with all they've got. What more do either of these great wrestlers have left in their system?!" Or something like that.
And yeah the vertical system for pinfalls should be used sparingly at the end, like if someone hits a big move/finisher and goes for the pin at a moment where it's believable that they'd actually get the pinfall. Then out of nowhere you read, KICKOUT!!
Of course I'm just pitching the ideas and I'd like more comments on them.

Yea you make some good points on the commentators but it's really all up to our head writer, which I'm sure she'll comment on once she returns. I do like what you say I'm just afraid it won't be done as properly as we'd like.

(Taken from my ACW Staff profiles topic) Maxwell McNally Position: Lead Play by Play Announcer Height: 6'1 Weight: 210 Age: 62 Hometown: Providence, RI Appearance: Wears nicely tailored suits to the ringside. Looks a bit like former US Sec. of State Colin Powell in many respects. History: "The Voice of ACW" is known for his deep voice, and his calm calls on the microphone. Considers himself a television journalist and tries first and foremost to describe the action to the viewers, and provide information on wrestlers and holds that they otherwise would not know. An expert on calling a match, despite never having wrestled himself, but shows a great deal of respect for the industry, and does a great deal of research for his matches.
"Fast" Eddie Edison Position: Lead Color Commentator Height-5'10 Weight-175 Age-30 Hometown-Calgary, Canada Appearence-Wears a random ACW shirt of the day to the ring, and lightly tinted wraparound sunglasses(the old Dennis Rodman ones) to the ringside. Has spiked red hair and pale skin. History: Edison started out in the industry with the intentions of being a wrestler, and has worked as a member of the ring crew, sold tickets, worked as a member of security, managed wrestlers, and most recently trained under Tim Dwight in ACW, but finally realized that he wanted to be an announcer. Edison is easily excited, and is infamous for his "Daannnngerrrousss!!" catchphrase as well as his hyper commentating style that earned him his nickname. A perfect counterpart to McNally, Edison is knowlegeble, but often does not show it, prefering to hype up the action with his crazy hyperbole.

Here's a suggestion, it involves a big change, but what if we did ONE show a week, with 10 matches. Let's say it's still on Monday, but everything is due by Saturday, giving a FULL 5 days to do promos/matches, and send them to AK/Whomever. Then, the matches are dispersed to the person who handles the commentary (most likely a mod) and then sends them back to AK. The show is then all polished up, and ready to go! However, that might be too radical of a change, yet one show a week would be more than enough for me, especially if we added that "announcing" touch.

To be fair, we've been using the match writing system we've had for over a year and I don't think we need to change the whole shows just to add announcing. Nice idea though.

Well i think we should wait for Ak to return to hear her thoughts on it since she is the one who handles the shows.

Opinion time from FSX...I don't want their to be only one show to incorperate announcing. not only because I don't think it wouldn't be exactly worth it, but because People like having several events to build feuds
