I'm heartily against the idea. I tried to do that in many other feds, and ACw's the only one I can stick with. True, RP style rewards the more talented, but it becomes those same people winning matches over and over again. Then that excludes new players from going anywhere, because the top is dominated.
After awhile, as the top stars become apparent, it's just assumed that they'll win the match, and no one wants to face them, the new players become so intimidated by the thought of going against one of the top stars they just quit.
Just my 2 cents.

I think that a great deal of that rut might be due to the aftermath from the break and OE, the latter having been the pinnacle of our year(at least in design it should have been), and the former having been responsible for taking people off their ususal habits(I'll admit it did so to me to some extent).
We can improve within the current system, and so far, I have seen that the vast majority want to stick with it(although the majority is not always correct). I just think that if we become more like the rest, we will lose quite a bit.
Oh, and echoing Davey, good to see the Celtic Monster around:)

Cernunnos has the strongest point on the cool side of the argument yet.

I just had a major light bulb.
Roster Split.
One side RP Based other side the same way. This does a number of things.
1. We can have a new creative boost.
2. This cuts the work load virtually in half. Giving people more time to make storylines better. With one show RP based and the other the same way. It eases stress to crank out so many segments and matches. While still maintaining 2 entertaining shows.
3. People (like me) who are on the bubble and are unsure of what they want can experiment and decide.
4. It ends this arguement.

By the way, do not let the WWE's horrid roster split blind you.

For that to work it would have to be fifty fifty. Not to shoot it down, but apart from a large amount of the roster not even being active, it hardly ever splits down the middle. One would be the weaker AND it would cause a lot of confusion in the mean time.
'Can I feud with you? Oh - your the RP side - I forgot.'

It is worth a shot. We can always arrange jumping from one show to the other. The options are endless.

^^ Agrees with the Senator. Also, unlike some feds, you have to EARN your place as a top star, working from the bottom. I think that's the best thing about the calcs/ranks/not having to rp all the time. That's the silliest thing I've read all month. You don't earn anything. Being on top, I have to agree with Rose. I've seen people on top who haven't earned it, and people who should earn it stuck at the bottom. And myself? No, I haven't earned the top spot or the world title, in my opinion. I'm a mediocre writer at best, I'm more of an idea person. People like Kiji though could never beat me, based solely on the fact I'm ranked higher and have a year of writing credit, and this is the wrong way to do things.

I like the Idea of splitting the roster into Two. One for Role-Playing Style and One for the system we are doing now.
The Problem is, alot of people want this version of the system and won't accept the Role-playing, So I don't think alot of people would be on that side of the roster of Role-Playing, causing mass chaos and unbalancing the system.
If there was a way to split it up where everyone has an equal amount of people on each side to make everyone happy then I would go with this Idea, but I just don't see that happening without forcing people to go to a side.
Therefore I'm in the Neutral part of this idea and can't decide unless we get a good way to split the rosters into a nice 2 shows where everyone is happy.

I'm with what everyone said about the roster split. It'd be s show of fifty and a show of five (or so). I just say that we continue with the RP Matches that we've been having lately, and we can introduce an RP Title for the people who want to "earn" something.

ok what i think what we could do as a start is that we just first start with the rp title. This way we can see who wants to try this style out on a more regular basis as well as give people a chance to test out the waters. Then as time goes on and if we get more and more people into this we can see if we have enough for a roster split. I jsut think if we start with this split right now, even testing, and we only get like 8 people it'll be very wierd for that rp roster. So trying out with the title may be best as a start. Then we can move on to more bigger things if we see it necessary.
