Hey, I'm not going to sit here and claim to have some poncy, mature sense of humour. The only difference is I see the line as being in a different place to you, I think.
For me, something isn't funny when it infringes on the happiness of others. That's the difference between something being funny, and something being outright bullying. There is a lot of times where I read people getting worked up over stuff on some sites, and I sit there thinking "wow, wtf? Chill out, it wasn't that big of a deal".
But at the same time, I won't apologise for taking some things seriously. I've always put everything I can into efed, be that GWF, CIW or ACW. And while I realise others won't take it as seriously as I do, I do resent those who won't achknowledge that there are those of us who put effort into maintaining sites like this, and that starting shit erodes what we put our time into. When you start trouble, then it takes away the enjoyment of others, and it causes people to leave. Because, as much as we may hate to admit it, there are other options out there for people, and there's little reason to stick round when something isn't fun.
My taking the site seriously does not hurt others. But the starting of shit does. That's the difference between you and me Rep.

That's one of the reasons why you're an easy target. You have virgin ears and you try to be a goody goody nice guy. The funniest jokes are ones that are at other people's expense. There's a difference between people who deserve it and people who don't. JDM constantly walks in to the hole, which is why I find it funny when he gets worked up. Yoko on the other hand, was a touchy subject when Steele did the wheelchair joke. You have to know when to do it and who to do it at. Sometimes cruel jokes that are just made for the sake of being cruel aren't funny because of it. Sometimes it's so absurd that it makes it hysterical. At the end of the day, no one is being hurt here. They're words, and if they somehow do hurt you, you're being prepared for the real world, because anyone who gets that upset about a joke online needs a little help on that.
When Chris Phenomenal wrote a promo about me (despite the fact that he didn't even know me or really know what was going on at the time), it was malicious. It was obscene. He wrote as character, without asking. He said I used buttplugs and dildos. He said I fucked my bodyguard character. But do you want to know the real difference between me and you? I laughed, because I thought it was funny. I have very thick skin, and I doubt there's anything that anyone can say (in a joking mater) that can offend me.
The only things that can come close to offending me is when you see people being racist in a non-joking manner or when anything horrible is in a serious context (such as rape, peodphilia and this sort of thing) but even those topics can be funny when taken in to a joke atmosphere.
The bottom line is, this is the internet and we aren't and CAN'T hurt anyone unless we put out a hit on them or something. If you're so concerned about people not joining or leaving because of the fights, lobby for the solution that I proposed. If not, you're only indirectly contributing to the problem.
This "bully" tag is getting very old and seems like a copout response to say "I don't like Rep"

Right, since this stopped being a discussion about Jon Taylor several posts back, I'm locking this up. Unrelated discussions can be taken to the social board, etc.
