The Impact Metre: ACW
[/size][/i]Hello ladies and gentlemen to the first ever issue of ACW’s Impact Metre, this is basically the ACW equivalent of a Power 25, but it’s 10 and it’s renamed because I hate the word Power. Written by yours truly, Danny Mainer, this will be issued bi-weekly on Saturdays and as such will be more important. Because of the fact I’m writing it, I’m not placing Danny Mainer, Ross Lambert or any of my other characters in it.
So, without further delay lets rock the boat!
NUMBER 10: A.C. Evans
This rookie exploded onto the scene in the last few months and has racked up some wins against the likes of Chris Cooley and earning himself an Entertainment Title match at the top show in Alpha Championship Wrestling, Omega Effect. He’s probably not made as big as an impact he could’ve however but he has been noticed.
NUMBER 9: Thunder Train
The current Entertainment Champion has been backed into a corner somewhat. After losing a match VIA roll-up to the newcomer A.C. Evans he now has to face him yet again in a Ladder Match, something which brought great worry to Mr. Train with him stating words to the effect of “How can I climb a ladder? It’d break underneath my weight”. However, he IS the Entertainment Champ for a reason, will the forever famished locomotive retain at Omega Effect?
NUMBER 8: Jake Steele
Mr. Steele exploded onto our TV screens early in the year and has gone through many transitions within the span of his career. His patented knee, The RIGHT IN YO’ FACE has taken down many a foe including former Entertainment Champion Ryan Cooper. He also recently caused a big stir by breaking away from The Maine Event, his stable with Danny Mainer to join newcomer The Reprobate, The Sinister Minister as well as Johnny Blaze and Pride in “The Impact Players” which has certainly proven true. The ballsy kid now has to take on Jason Freeman with special enforcer Kudo Yasuda watching at ring-side, both Kudo and Jake share the same finishing manoeuvre and they strongly dislike each other. Whether Kudo will play the pacifist or screw Jake over will all be seen next weekend at Omega Effect.
NUMBER 7: Kudo Yasuda
While Jake has been around longer racking up more wins, Kudo gets the higher spot for stopping a twisted beat-down on Jason Freeman and becoming the special enforcer at Jake Steele VS Jason Freeman at Omega Effect IV. Having taken down a fair portion of Jake’s new stable single-handedly and having the longest title reign in ACW history with the Entertainment Title is definitely a feat to celebrate. He also came up short in a brutal match against Fallen Souls after completely taking it to him for the majority of the match. However, now Kudo has those cold, trained eyes on Jake Steele. The same question will be posed here, will he be able to stay peaceful or will he opt to screw Jake over?
NUMBER 6: Jay Zero
Lately, Jay has been lashing out at the world for the times that Aiden Joseph has screwed him over. Having came within a hairs breadth of taking the ACW World Heavyweight Title off of him in a Lumberjack match, only to be screwed by Nick Durden he has since been on a downward spiral having gone completely insane on a path of revenge. He destroyed his tag partner, The Libertines with each strike being a message to Aiden Joseph about whom he’s screwed over however Aiden has yet to reply to these messages. He’s made an impact but not what he could’ve.
NUMBER 5: Scott Andrews
The Scarlet Assassin made his comeback at the 2008 Fallen Heroes Battle Royal, he came up short to become the Omega Effect Number 1. Contender but since then he’s been racking up wins. He’s suddenly become a lot calmer these days. He even went so far as signing a BK London t-shirt for some kids and didn’t curbstomp them. On being consulted by fans about this new, Buddha-esque persona of Mr. Andrews he stated that 20 minutes of meditation a day can do a man wonders. He’s been pulling nothing but wins out of his hat lately. Who knows where he could go next.
NUMBER 4: BK London
BK scores high because The BK Bomber finally put an end to the incredible near year-long feud between himself and Adrian Flamingo which captured the hearts and the imaginations of the entire ACW fanbase, even drawing in some new fans because of the intensity. Gingerdude made the final match between the two a Loser Leaves match which BK won. It was a horrific, MOTY contest but boy was it exciting. After a near year of putting each other through Hell he finally defused the Ticking Time Bomb. Also, he recently beat Danny Mainer and then Mr. Red in a hardcore match. He then went and turned on the entire fanbase for good aligning with the old GFWWE boss. He’s made A LOT of noise lately which gives him a high place. Now, with no opponent for Omega Effect he called out his old opponent, Latino who is set to be making his appearance at the last Warfare. Will he appear or will he chicken out and if the two do have an encounter, who will prevail?
NUMBER 3: Aiden Joseph
Aiden Joseph had everything, money, looks, talent, fame, a family and a drop-dead gorgeous step-sister, however, all of that has seemingly changed as he handed every one of his assets to his wife Anna Sommers and Chairman Gingerdude. He was looking to kill the legacy of Yoko Satoshi at Omega Effect but after signing away all of his money he has since disappeared. This may be the last time the former World Champ will appear in front of our screens or anyone else. However we may just see the man on Warfare next Monday.
NUMBER 2: Sarin Rossi
Yes, that is right, the champion is NOT at the top of the ladder. Sarin Rossi has had an impressive month but according to backstage sources she’s allegedly being stalked by 3 strange men and inside sources say she still has strong feelings for her ex-girlfriend Yoko Satoshi who helped her become the World Champion in the first place. Sarin has had an average month and with her mind being ravaged with these 3 stalkers she surely can’t be focused on the championship at Omega Effect, can she?
NUMBER 1: Fallen Souls
The random, bizarre little man from Korea has had his hilarious moments recently including his skit as Foko Soutoshi with his partner Snarin and Floppyzuna and his Indiana Jones-esque adventures but while he’s been having fun he’s also been getting it done in the ring garnering HUGE momentum turning his walk down the road to Omega Effect into a helicopter ride. He’s been making waves beating Kudo Yasuda, Danny Mainer, Aiden Joseph and more and he’s walking into the main event of Omega Effect with heaps of momentum. Even though Sarin has a huge undefeated streak she’s not focused and she’s been neglecting her duties as champion. We believe that FSX can finally pull it off, all he has to do is reach for it and grab that opportunity, but will it pay off? We’ll see next week at Omega Effect.
