DWB has tried all he can think of to try and score a quick win on Blade, but so far his opponent sees able to handle everything that DWB can throw at him. Picking up a piece of cinder block, DWB purports to throw it at Blade, but he blatently cracks the referee instead and the ref drops to the floor. Blade angrily runs at him, but DWB steps aside and with a smooth movement he produces a leather strap that he has kept concealed on his person since his entry to the arena. Catching Blade around the neck, DWB takes a leaf out of Ridley’s book and pulls the strap tight; Blade desperately struggles, but the leather is thick and too strong to break. Blade sinks to his knees and begins to lose the colour in his face, while DWB smiles sickeningly and just pulls harder. DWB is convinced he has the match in the bag; with Blade slumped on the mat he goes and fetches the steel chair, smashing it on to his opponent’s back with glee. DWB raises the chair again, this time aiming for Blade’s head…….but suddenly a cry goes up from the crowd, and from within their ranks a powerfully built individual emerges and jumps up into the ring. The man is just slightly taller than DWB, and about the same size physically; his jet black hair has distinctive blue tips, and he is dressed in beige shorts with a chain belt and an unbuttoned shirt. DWB turns and sees the intruder, but like everyone else he has no idea who the man is and does not immediately perceive him as a threat. This turns out to be a mistake, as the mystery man rips the chair out of DWB’s hands before delivering a Stone Cold Stunner with incredible speed and strength. DWB recoils and collapses to the mat; the stranger approaches Blade and removes the strap from around his neck. Blade is still recovering from oxygen deprivation, and he doesn’t get a good look at the guy; but he does register that the man’s actions toward him are friendly. With a salute and confident smile to the crowd, the unknown hero slides from the ring and disappears the way he came as the 3 people in the ring slowly rise back to their feet for the closing encounter of the match. Both wrestlers are aching and fatigued, but the mystery person’s actions have served to level the playing field between them. DWB tries to punch Blade repeatedly, while Blade uses his favoured kicking moves; DWB gets the upper hand and he knocks Blade down, following through with a five – knuckle shuffle. DWB pins, but Blade responds after 2; totally frustrated, DWB throws himself on top of Blade and beats him with a nearby piece of cinder block. DWB pins again and hooks the leg, this time receiving a count of 2.5. With Blade on the canvas, DWB climbs to the top of a post and hits his DownWithBush finisher; for a third time he pins and everyone is sure it’s over, but just milliseconds before 3 Blade gets a shoulder up and the crowd is going bonkers. Reaching boiling point, DWB jumps out of the ring and looks under it; he pulls out a strange looking bat, and with a lighter concealed alongside he sets fire to the specially prepared item. Blade, meanwhile, has also slipped out of the ring, and as he re – enters DWB sees Blade with an empty trash can. DWB is less than impressed with Blade’s selection, and he comes forward with the bat blazing ferociously; as he swings Blade steps aside and puts the trash can over DWB’s head. Before DWB can react, Blade uses a standing dropkick to knock him to the floor and the bat flies out of DWB’s grasp; Blade elbow drops on to the bin and deforms it so that it is more difficult for DWB to remove. DWB manages to stand and lurches around the ring blindly; it only takes him a few seconds to remove the “blindfold” but this is all that Blade needs to reach the corner and get into position. Just as DWB frees himself, Blade launches into his Thor’s Hammer move and it fully connects with DWB’s skull. DWB reels, his eyes rolling in his head, and Blade delivers the coupe de grace with the flaming bat that DWB himself introduced to the ring. Blade pins but there is no danger of DWB responding, and the whole arena counts with the referee to crown a new champion.
Ginger: Here is your winner……..and NEW WCW Champion……Bladeshadow!
Blade slowly rises from the mat as the event crew douse the flaming bat before it sets the ring cover alight. The referee raises his arm and hands the belt over; Blade looks at it for a moment and then a smile, the first genuinely happy smile for a long time, illuminates his face. The fans whoop and cheer his victory, and Blade climbs the corner posts, pointing to the belt and then to them, dedicating his win to all the people who are standing to applaud him. DWB rolls over and holds his head in despair, but the effort of the match has sapped all his strength and he does not interrupt the celebrations as he heads back to the locker rooms, a new anger igniting in his heart towards the mysterious stranger who, in his eyes, has robbed him of his title. Blade, meanwhile, savours the moment; then, with a final wave, he makes his way from the arena and the crowd are left to await the show’s grand finale.

The action thus far at Uncensored has been greeted with great enthusiasm by the fans, but there is a distinct change in the atmosphere as the event staff move into position to set up for the Industrial Revolution match. Details about the precise nature of the match have been kept largely under wraps, and everyone is desperate to see what kind of insane challenge Ridley has devised for his competitors. From the roof there comes a grinding screech as, from the shadows, a massive structure starts to descend…. The crowd has been quite rowdy up to this point, but as the structure comes into view a hush descends on the arena as the audience tries to get their heads around the metallic nightmare which is just reaching the floor. The main frame is very similar to that used for a “Hell in a Cell” match, and is of roughly the same dimensions. Its chain link walls though are criss – crossed by a network of metal pipes, with numerous sharp edges and points to injure the unwary. Crew members link up the end of the pipes in one corner to a second length of pipe which is already in place, running alongside the safety barriers and out to the backstage area where more machinery is stationed. The head stage hand twists a grimy stopvalve, and with a hiss jets of scalding steam erupt from the pipes into the cage. At the top four corners, tall metal vents begin to spew a stream of white smoke that drifts lazily away into the ether. The pipes continue to spout steam at regular intervals as the crew continue their work; next they connect a number of wires together at the base of the cage and everyone’s attention is drawn to the roof. Unlike a standard cell, this one has a solid (yet transparent) plastic sheet below the chain link panels, from which are hung a number of factory – style lamps. The lamps flicker into life and cast a pallid glow over the ring. Also hung from the ceiling are a few select items – a sledgehammer, crowbar, and a long length of lead piping. The cell door is opened and various other weapons are deposited in and around the ring – wrenches, claw hammers, wooden planks, bricks, shovels. The event staff make their way out and the fans have a moment to try and grasp the situation before them as Ginger steps into the ring to announce the match.
Ginger: Ladies and Gentlemen, we have finally arrived at the last match of the evening………the first ever WCW Industrial Revolution Match, for the TV Title Belt! This will be a hardcore – style, falls – count – anywhere match - for either challenger to win, they must pin the champion; the champion can win by pinning either of his opponents.
Scars of Time by ChronoCross hits
Ginger: Entering first, from St Petersburg Russia………….The White Rose!
The lights dim slightly and a powerful spotlight illuminates Rose as she steps out into the entrance way, immaculately prepared with her pure white hair shimmering in the glare. There is a brief blaze of red, white and blue lights directly above, and then a multitude of white rose petals flutter down to carpet the ramp’s end where Rose stands. The crowd is hyper and they cheer Rose purely for having the guts to accept the match as she walks slowly toward the twisted construction before her. Rose pauses for just a second to look up before she enters the cage, and she walks around examining the weaponry available to her as she waits for her opponents to arrive.
The arena darkens fully and New Noise by Refused begins to scream out over the sound system.
Ginger: The next participant…….from Sacramento California………Skurai!
Strobe lights kick in as Skurai appears; from somewhere to his right a wind machine cranks up and the rose petals are dramatically blown away as Skurai’s cape and hair billow behind him. The strobes slow down and fade out as Skurai heads down towards the ring, also followed by a single spotlight; Skurai does not hesitate to enter the structure and he joins Rose in familiarizing himself with his surroundings.
As Skurai is entering the cage, Commissioner RDK makes his way to ringside; the fans are still seething following his treatment of Radobar and President, and those he passes shout angrily at him. RDK disregards them and walks down to inspect the cage; he looks with interest at the setup and then retires a short distance from the structure to await the final participant.
Skurai and Rose are in position, and the tension rises audibly as everyone looks to the entrance…….for a few moments there is absolutely nothing……

And then suddenly the arena darkens for the final time, and the crowd noise escalates to an alarming degree. More strobe lights in a violent red tone start up and illuminate the cell, as a deep fog swirls up and fills the area in and around the cell like a slow, crawling death that claws at Skurai and Rose’s feet. The crowd are standing as one, as a long procession of druids files out of the entrance and surround the cell, each bearing a flaming torch in their hands. The lights are refracted by the fog and splinter into the crowd, bathing those present in a hellish glow, and then……
GONG…….
The decibel count rises again as the druids raise their torches on high; from the main entrance red and blue lasers scythe across the arena and a couple of people who have not read the epilepsy disclaimer on their tickets have to be quickly bourn away to safety. With the venue doing a fine impression of a rave all – nighter, the frenzy of light and mist builds to its peak………..
GONG…………..
From all over the arena, spotlights flare into life and pan across the crowd to focus on the cage roof. The spotlights pan upward and the crowd goes into overdrive as a cloaked form descends swiftly from the roof space on a cable. About 10 feet from the cage ceiling, the figure lets go of the rope and drops to a kneeling position on the chainlink below.
Disturbed’s “Prayer” thunders from the audio system and the cell visibly shudders from the sonic waves generated. Ginger pushes his protective earpieces tightly into place, and then gives the intro the fans have waited for all evening…….
Ginger: Ladies and Gentlemen, the final participant, the reigning TV Title holder, the infamous lord of hardcore himself………..RIDLEY!!!!!
Ridley rises majestically to his feet, arms outstretched; his hood is pushed back just enough to reveal his features and the camera captures his demonic grin with its distinctive pointed canines in full view. The grin is bad enough, but if anything the look in his eyes is worse; calm, unconcerned, soulless and completely at odds with the rest of his expression. Looking around him, Ridley reaches inside his robe and everyone watches for his trademark baseball bat……
…….but instead there are shrieks from the crowd as Ridley produces an insanely long machete, dulled and scarred from past use and all the more terrifying for it. Still grinning, Ridley walks to the edge of the cage, turns around, falls backward and hooks his heels into the chainlink to climb down like a huge and nightmarish spider. The druids have gathered into a welcoming party near to the cage door, and Ridley joins them; he allows a pair of them to remove his robes, and with a flick of his free hand he dismisses them. The druids turn and leave as Ridley acknowledges RDK with a nod, and with that Ridley steps into the cage and climbs up into the ring to face Rose and Skurai. The sight of Ridley with such a lethal implement is of obvious concern to the other contestants, but both hold their ground and their nerve and for a moment it seems that the match is about to begin. After a few seconds though, Ridley’s expression changes and he appears to have second thoughts about something…..without a word, he discards the machete over the ropes so that it sticks into the floor, and unfastens his customary chest protector. Ridley removes the garment and tosses it away; he rolls his head on his shoulders, popping the vertebrae in a most unpleasant manner, before taking up a fighting stance.
With all 3 participants in the cell, Ginger leaves and the referee enters (looking more than a little nervous himself); seeing the machete, he gathers up this and all the other items discarded by the wrestlers. These are passed out of the cell to an assistant and the door is closed. The occupants watch as a crew member steps up and uses a welding torch to seal the only entry or exit to the structure. Skurai, Rose and Ridley lock eyes with one another, and the referee signals to his assistant on the outside to start the match. There is a brief flicker from the lighting above, and the people in the front rows hear a strange, low level hum start up; a few people also notice that their mobile phones beep or otherwise behave strangely. RDK takes up a watching brief a few feet from the cell wall.
The bell rings, accompanied by a shrill blast from a steam train - style whistle, and the match gets underway.
In the ring, the action does not begin straight away; despite his swagger and confidence, Ridley has been impressed by both Skurai and Rose in the run – up to the match and he is not about to underestimate either of them. The adversaries move carefully about the ring; then Ridley sees a wrench next to his foot and he swiftly ducks down to grab it. In a flash Skurai leaps toward him to try and stop him arming himself, but Ridley pulls back and Skurai dives out of the ring. Skurai rolls to protect himself and stands; as he does so he brushes a hand against one of the cell walls. Sparks fly and Skurai jerks his hand away in pain; as he clutches the burn on the back of his hand he realizes that the cage walls have a sizable current running through them. This fact is not lost on Rose, but she now begins her campaign and picks up a wooden plank, swinging it at Ridley. Ridley jinks to one side, grabs a shovel and the two start taking shots at one another. Ridley’s shovel is more hardwearing than the wooden plank and with a mighty blow he splits the wood in two; Rose quickly drops the plank’s remains and before Ridley can prepare another swing she grabs him around the waist, lifts and falls backward to suplex him on to his head. Rose retreats before Ridley can recover himself, but she walks straight into Skurai who lunges with a claw hammer to hit her shoulder. Rose winces as the double points of the claw hammer drive into the muscles, and Skurai follows up by powerbombing Rose on to his dropped weapon.

Ridley is back in action and he swings his shovel at Skurai, but Skurai ducks and runs forward to slingshot against the opposite ropes; on his return he leaps into a dropkick and fells Ridley before he can use his weapon. Skurai pins, but the count is broken by Rose before 2 and Ridley is quickly back on his feet. Taking a nearby brick in his hands, Ridley grins and smashes it against his own head to break it in two. With one half in each hand he attacks both his opponents at once; Skurai gets a smack on the side of the head and staggers back, but Rose ducks and uses an over – shoulder armdrag to floor Ridley. Skurai recovers and uses an elbow drop to the champion; he stays down to cover but Rose quickly hauls him off. Rose gives Skurai an eyepoke, and then grabs Ridley’s old shovel, using it to beat him around the head and chest. She also covers, but Skurai is just as quick to break it up. The pair swap blows, and as they near the ropes Skurai lands a kick at the same moment that Rose hits him with her shovel, and the two knock each other out of the ring. As Rose picks herself up she narrowly avoids a blast of steam from one of the pipes; Skurai also rises and he takes a fresh wood plank in hand. Rose swings and Skurai ducks; the steel shovel connects with the cage and sparks fly everywhere as current shoots up the handle. Rose visibly shakes from the electric shock and quickly drops the superheated implement; using all her agility she dodges Skurai and the steam jets as he attacks. Several times the wood strikes the cell walls; the wood may be much weaker than metal but its inability to carry voltage now becomes a distinct advantage. Skurai traps Rose in a corner and tries to capitalize, but she grabs hold of the plank and the two struggle for control. As they do so they completely miss Ridley’s approach; he has allowed the pair to expend precious energy fighting one another and now he spears both of them into the cell wall with amazing force. Everyone feels the shock of the electricity, but Rose gets the worst of it combined with the physical impact to her back and head and she lies still as the other two stagger up, little curls of smoke rising from the singes on their clothing. Ridley drives Skurai back against the wall and holds him in place as the current surges through both of them; Ridley leers manically and actually seems to enjoy the shocks. Skurai shakes as the current disrupts the nerve signals in his body, but he overrides the pain and spins Ridley round so that his bare back connects with the wall, holding him as long as he can; the direct contact to his skin increases the pain and Ridley’s face shows some discomfort, giving Skurai a glimmer of hope. When the pair finally pull away, Ridley’s back is scarred with burn marks in a chain link pattern; Skurai gets some protection from his clothes, but these too are blackened and charred in several places, showing blistering on the skin beneath. Seeing that Rose is still out of action, Skurai focuses on Ridley and he clotheslines him back to the floor; Skurai hops up on to the apron and goes for a splash but Ridley raises his knees and instead kicks him away in mid aid. Ridley pulls out a chair from under the ring, smacking it with obvious enjoyment into Skurai; Ridley pins and gets a count of 2 before Skurai pushes him off. Bored with the chair, Ridley picks up a wrench and pursues Skurai; Rose is just regaining her feet as Ridley takes a massive swipe at Skurai, who is very close to one of the cell corners. Skurai just ducks in time and Ridley slams the metal wrench into one of the pipes; the pressurized pipe is punctured and Ridley is blasted in the face with a jet of steam which spreads all over the area. Suddenly blinded, Ridley drops the wrench, covers his eyes and sinks down on to one knee. Skurai grabs the weapon, but before he can use it Rose rushes forward and uses Ridley’s shoulder to launch into a hurracanrana; Skurai is flipped straight into the wall and there is a great shower of sparks as he hits. Skurai rolls away from the wall and Ridley covers, but Rose hauls him off before 2. Ridley is annoyed and he punches Rose a couple of times before dragging her up to the apron and giving her the Drop to Hell. Ridley pins, but just after 2 he breaks the cover of his own accord and, looking up into the roof, decides that he wants to play with the big boys’ toys. With the walls electrified, Ridley cannot simply climb up for the weaponry; instead he looks under the ring and produces a ladder. He sets this up in the ring and begins to climb as Rose and Skurai get up. Rose tries to re - enter the ring but Skurai pulls her back; the pair clash as Ridley gets closer to the suspended goodies. Rose’s technical skills are superior to Skurai’s and she manages to hit her doublearm DDT; Rose stands and looks for something painful to use on her foe. She finds the chair that Ridley used previously, and as she returns to her opponent she lifts it above her head. Just as she does so, Skurai jams the claw hammer which he has secretly concealed in his clothes into one of the pipes at ground level; the blockage causes a join right next to Rose’s head to give way and she gets a face full of steam. Rose reacts in the same way as Ridley, by dropping the chair and clutching at her face; quickly Skurai takes the chair and knocks Rose down with it. With the distraction dealt with, Skurai jumps back into the ring and climbs up the opposite side of the ladder.

At the top of the ladder Ridley is just deciding which of the weapons to retrieve first. He reaches for the sledgehammer but as he does so, Skurai appears opposite to him and grabs his arm. Ridley’s expression darkens, and with his other arm he grabs the nearest weapon – the lead pipe - and aims for Skurai’s head. Skurai just avoids it, and releasing Ridley’s arm he grasps the crowbar. Balanced right at the top of the ladder, the crowd noise is incredible as the pair give a bizarre imitation of a sword duel, their weapons ringing as they clash. The fight is savage and both land blows; Skurai’s crowbar opens a gash on Ridley’s forehead and the blood begins to flow in copious quantities. This just makes Ridley even more wrathful, and he almost succeeds in dislodging Skurai. Skurai slips down a few rungs and he drops the crowbar; Ridley’s follow-through movement sends the sledgehammer and his own pipe crashing to the mat. Disarmed, the two continue to fight; at one point Ridley grabs one of the light fixtures and presses the super – hot bulb against Skurai’s face, leaving a vicious burn mark on both the victim’s cheek and the perpetrator’s palm. As the two wear each other down, it becomes obvious that each wants to set up their falling pedigree variation. Finally Skurai gets the upper hand and prepares for the 500 Channels, but as he looks down he sees Rose standing in the ring just feet away; the chair shot has opened a bad cut on her scalp and her hair is starting to turn red as the blood flows from the wound. Rose looks up, and then she hurls herself to ricochet from the ropes straight into the ladder. The ladder hangs for a brief second, then before Skurai or Ridley can jump away the ladder keels over into the cell wall. The combined impact of 2 wrestlers and a ladder is too much for the chain link wall, and a part of it is ripped away, shattering pipes and sending steam all over; passengers, panel and ladder collapse outward on to the entrance ramp with a thunderous crash. The referee clambers out of the cell and hurries over to Ridley and Skurai; RDK comes and helps Ridley up while Skurai disentangles himself from the mangled ladder with the referee’s assistance. Ridley has now acquired a set of slashes along one side of his face and neck, from the jagged edges of the torn cell wire as he fell, and he noticeably winces as he touches the wounds. The referee keeps an eye on RDK and he moves away towards the cell; Skurai and Ridley are just about to collide again when they are both interrupted by Rose, who is now armed with the fallen sledgehammer. Rose swings and hits Ridley in the chest; Ridley flails in a suspicious manner and falls back, smacking the ref with an arm as he does so. Rose goes to swing again but the weight of the sledgehammer makes it tricky for her to manipulate and Skurai tackles her to the floor, knocking the sledgehammer away. The two grapple, but with the referee down RDK comes forward and lays down a few blows on both with the crowbar, which he has since retrieved from the cell. Ridley and the referee are back up and RDK quickly retreats; Ridley pulls Skurai up and uses his torpedoes away throw to propel him into the damaged side of the cell. Although the blow is painful and adds a few cuts to Skurai’s face, he does not get zapped by current and everyone realizes that the electricity has been cut off. Skurai retreats into the cell and Ridley follows, along with the referee; once the ref’s back is turned RDK grabs Rose and locks on a sleeperhold. Skurai pulls himself together and, countering Ridley’s attacks, knocks him down with a roundhouse kick to the head; Skurai goes swiftly to a corner post and moonsaults down on to the champion. The impact, combined with blood loss, dazes Ridley and Skurai gets a pin of 2.5 before Ridley kicks out. Ridley staggers back out of the cell, and RDK releases Rose to the floor as the referee turns back in his direction; quickly Ridley pins her but Rose just manages to respond before 3. Meanwhile Skurai is approaching to break the pin, but RDK nails him with the sledgehammer in his gut and Skurai folds up in pain. This time though the referee sees RDK out of the corner of his eye, and angrily he threatens to have him removed from ringside. RDK is about launch into his Don’t-screw-with-me-I’m-the-commissioner-goddammit routine, but Ridley sidles up and whispers something in his ear. RDK still looks angry, but he puts down the sledgehammer and walks away from the competitors; he leans up against the set at the arena entrance and watches the reminder of the match from there. Ridley is the undisputed master of hardcore matches, but even he is now seriously fatigued from battling with Skurai and Rose. As his opponents drag themselves back to their feet, Ridley casts a glance at the wrecked side of the cell, and with the briefest flash of a smile he begins to climb up the shaky, de – electrified wall. Ridley reaches the top and sees that Rose is trying to pursue; flipping up on to the insulated roof, Ridley wrenches the barely – attached panel and with a final push he disconnects it from the cell entirely and it begins to fall back. Skurai rolls back up the entrance ramp to avoid being crushed by the metal; Rose has only seconds to react but she slides down the panel and slips through the hole created earlier to avoid further injury. The panel crashes on to the floor, and Ridley’s smile grows as he looks over the edge of the cell roof at his foes, blood dripping from his wounds to further stain Rose’s hair and clothing. Rose clambers over the fallen panel and with Skurai she looks at Ridley, whose bloodied and gouged face makes his twisted grin even more unsettling. Skurai picks up a claw hammer which is lying in the debris and throws it experimentally at the remaining cage walls; the sparks that fly off as it impacts prove that these are still electrified. It looks as if Ridley has outsmarted his opponents; he is safe on top of the cage and there appears to be no way for them to reach him there. Skurai clenches his fists, frustration burning in his eyes; then suddenly he looks at the twisted frame of the ladder which was used earlier. Skurai marches back into the cell and lifts up the apron cover; his top half disappears underneath the ring for a few seconds and then he backs out, pulling a new ladder behind him. Rose watches as he sets it up; the ladder is obviously far too short to reach the cell roof, or even to jump from. Skurai goes back to the cell and comes back with another ladder; as he does so, Rose works out what he is trying to do and she hurries down to the ring to retrieve a ladder herself. With 2 ladders leant against one another for stability, Rose climbs to the top of their first tier and sets up the ladder that Skurai passes to her. Ridley has been lying on his back recovering while all this is going on, but the clang of the ladders knocking together draws his attention and he sits up to watch the construction project in its final stages. Rose tests the single ladder; it is a little unsteady but Rose is unshakeable in her desire to reach her foe.

Without waiting a second longer, Rose climbs about halfway up the second tier and leaps on to the cage roof; Skurai sees her go and quickly begins the ascent himself. Ridley rises to his feet as Rose lands, and the pair exchange punches and kicks as they move about on the roof. Ridley goes into overdrive, mercilessly beating Rose down before delivering a massive Jackhammer, and there is a crack as the force of the impact damages the roof panels, but Rose also fights like a woman possessed and they physically rip into each other’s exposed skin, so intense is the rage that consumes them; as the fight continues Ridley and Rose can feel the floor becoming unstable beneath their feet. Skurai reaches the jump – off point of the ladder tower and is about to make the leap, but he changes his mind and instead continues to climb until he is right at the very highest point. Skurai looks down as his foes grapple in the centre of the roof; the crowd, who have been going nuts since Rose rejoined the battle, now come close to total meltdown as Skurai turns around and spreads his arms. Cameras flash everywhere with a blinding radiance, and with a deep breath Skurai takes flight into one of the most awesome Swantons ever seen. Time seems to stretch and slow as he gracefully descends toward Ridley and Rose; the distance for Skurai to cover is immense, and he only partially strikes his opponents as he lands. Even so, all 3 are driven to the floor and there is a final, ear splitting crack as all the remaining joints of the structure fail simultaneously….. None of the match participants has any idea of what happens next until well after the event. The bolts holding the roof to the cell are sheared, and the entire roof drops vertically to the floor. As it falls the ceiling breaks the bonds holding the cell sides together, and the 3 remaining walls separate and splay outward; the fans to either side and the crew at ringside yell and dive for cover below their seats, the announce tables etc. The roof crushes the ring utterly; the posts collapse outward so that the roof rests on its shattered remains. The destruction shorts out the electricity supply and everyone screams as all the lights in the arena are knocked out……..
After a few seconds, the judiciously ordered backup generator kicks in and everyone looks around silently at the carnage. Fortunately the safety barriers and announce tables have arrested the fall of the walls and protected those on the outside of the cage, who are extracting themselves from the debris. But all eyes are quickly drawn to the centre of the ring where, astonishingly, all 3 contestants are on their feet. Bloodied, burned and beaten, the 3 stare at one another; Skurai’s head and arms are covered in injuries, with barely a patch of skin undamaged; Ridley’s face and chest is covered in his own and his opponent’s blood, and Rose’s white hair has been dyed almost totally crimson from her scalp wound, with black bruises vivid against her pale skin. The whole arena is in suspended animation, waiting to exhale, and then almost simultaneously the group collapses to the ground. The referee, who had been standing back up the ramp to watch the battle on the roof, runs in and examines all the participants; he is about to call in the EMTs and end the match as a draw when suddenly, Ridley stirs and with a last effort rolls over to lay an arm over the nearest competitor to him - Rose. The referee drops and makes the 1-2-3 count, and the silence is blown apart as the crowd goes ballistic for the victor.
Ginger crawls out from under the Spanish announce desk, microphone in hand.
Ginger: Here is your winner, and still the TV title holder…………Ridley!
The participants are just starting to rouse themselves as the referee brings the title belt and hands it to Ridley. Ridley glances around him with a sub – zero glimmer of light in his eyes; he puts his hand to his cheek and feels the gouges in his flesh picked up on his first exit from the cell. Ridley stands, but there is no grand celebration of victory; he looks at Rose, who is still kneeling on the floor, and he sweeps over to her. Without batting an eyelid he grabs her from behind and hauls her to her feet, dragging her back toward the announce desks. Ridley bends down to pick something up from the wreckage, and the crowd is shocked as he produces the machete used in his dramatic entrance. The referee protests vehemently and bravely tries to disarm Ridley, but the lord of hardcore simply knocks him away and the ref smashes his head against one of the collapsed cell panels. Rose struggles but she is too weak to break free, and Ridley twists her arm so that wrist is exposed. With his expression frozen into one of cold vengeance, Ridley raises the blade and prepares to strike……..
Skurai has no particular fondness for Rose, but he cannot stand by and see her life endangered by the psychotic Ridley. Skurai grabs the nearest item to hand and with all his remaining power he nails Ridley on the head with the steel chair. Ridley drops and releases Rose, and Skurai quickly moves to lock in The Suffering on Ridley. Rose pulls herself back to her feet and picks up the chair; as Skurai starts to turn Ridley over he calls to Rose to finish the job. Rose walks over and raises the chair, but she does not strike; with a dark smile she gives Skurai just long enough to realize what is about to happen before she slams the chair straight into his face. Skurai crumples, and without delay Rose applies her own figure four leglock to her saviour. Ridley sits bolt upright and gets back up and for a moment it looks as if he will break the hold; but instead he takes Skurai’s arms and hoists him up into the straightjacket, with Rose suspended upside down as she maintains her part of the double team move. The pain is unlike anything Skurai has experienced previously; he bites his lip to try and contain himself but after a few seconds he lets out an involuntary cry of anguish that rips through the hearts of all present. As the straightjacket takes hold and Skurai starts to pass out, RDK comes forward from his viewing position, having kept out of the match since being instructed to do so by Ridley. The last thing Skurai registers before he blacks out is RDK’s taunting and look of contempt.
RDK indicates to Ridley that they have achieved their goal, and Ridley and Rose release the unconscious Skurai on to the ruined cell roof. RDK raises the arms of Rose and Ridley, and the crowd roars, both with admiration for the event they have just witnessed, and angrily at the threesome’s evil deeds; the three congratulate one another on the success of their strategy. EMTs finally arrive to attend to Skurai and the referee; with their work completed, the members of the dark new superpower forged in the smoke and heat of the cell make their way out of the arena.
The match is over, but the Revolution is just beginning…………
End of Show.
