The impact sends Kudo stumbling and tumbling to the outside. Jake grabs hold of the top rope and leaps over, landing on the apron. He then feints a springboard, but he just ends up hopping back into the ring. This allows Kudo to sweep Jake’s feet out from under him. While Jake is still lying on the mat, Kudo hops onto the apron and comes crashing down on top of Jake with a springboard somersault senton! Jake rolls to the outside. Kudo pursues by sliding underneath the bottom rope with a baseball slide, but Jake moves out of the way. Jake tries to whip Kudo into the turnbuckle post, but Kudo sticks his leg up to prevent a head-on collision. Jake runs toward him, but Kudo moves out of the way, leaving Jake to eat turnbuckle post! Kudo reenters the ring, and as Jake is stumbling in a daze on the outside, Kudo flies at him with a suicide dive! Kudo lifts Jake to his feet and throws him into the barricade. Kudo then rolls Jake back into the ring.
Kudo reenters the ring and lifts Jake to his feet. Kudo backs Jake into the corner with a thunderous knife-edge chop. Now with Jake in the corner, Kudo plants a slap across his chest, followed by a dropkick. As Kudo pulls Jake away from the corner, Jake fights back with some punches. Kudo tries for a clothesline, but Jake ducks and ends up behind Kudo to lock arms around his waist. Kudo reaches down and takes hold of Jake’s leg. Kudo then pulls Jake’s leg up, causing him to fall backward to the mat. Jake uses his free leg to shove Kudo away. Kudo is sent into the corner, but he immediately runs for Jake again. Still on his back, Jake throws his legs up to wrap them around Kudo’s head and takes him over in a hurricarana! Both men bound to their feet. Jake whips Kudo into the corner. Kudo sticks his hands up to prevent a head-on collision with the corner. As Jake runs toward him, Kudo hops up so that he’s suspended horizontally in the air and catches Jake’s head between his legs. Kudo then tucks in his body while using his legs to pull Jake’s head into the middle turnbuckle. While Jake’s head is planted on the middle turnbuckle, Kudo hops onto the middle rope and bounces high into the air to plant a knee across Jake’s exposed back. Kudo lifts Jake to his feet, only to ground him again with a snapmare. While Jake is in seated position, Kudo wraps his legs around Jake’s head and brings him down to the mat. Jake eventually manages to roll sideways and drape a leg over the bottom rope. When Kudo raises Jake to his feet, Jake stuns him with an elbow strike and tries to capitalize with a roundhouse kick, but Kudo ducks. Kudo retaliates with a roundhouse kick of his own that catches Jake in the chest. Kudo runs to the ropes and tries for a clothesline, but Jake ducks. Kudo continues running to the opposite ropes. When Kudo bounces off, Jake catches him in a flatliner! Jake lifts Kudo to his feet and backs him up against the ropes with a series of knife-edge chops. Jake tries to whip Kudo to the opposite ropes, but Kudo holds onto the top rope to block it. Jake drills an elbow strike into Kudo’s head before pulling him back to the center of the ring and planting him in a snap suplex. Jake covers.[/i]

Kudo runs toward him and drills a dropkick into his knee! Jake drops to one knee while Kudo runs to the ropes. When Kudo bounces off, Jake suddenly springs to both feet just in time to catch him in an inverted atomic drop, followed swiftly with a spinning wheel kick! Jake raises Kudo to his feet and tries for a spinning crescent kick, but Kudo ducks. When Jake turns to face him again, Kudo lifts him high into the air and drops him onto the top rope with a flapjack! Jake stumbles back to the center of the ring, but recovers just in time to try for a clothesline. Kudo ducks and runs to the opposite ropes. Jake also runs to the ropes. This stuns Kudo enough to allow Jake to strike with a roundhouse kick to his ribs. Jake throws another roundhouse kick, but Kudo catches his leg and twists it around in a dragon screw! Kudo pulls Jake up and whips him into the corner. Kudo then runs toward Jake and drills two knees into Jake’s chest. KICKOUT
Jake climbs up to the top rope, but Kudo has recovered by now and knocks him down so that he is seated on the top rope. Kudo climbs up to join him on the top rope and sets up for a superplex, but Jake holds onto the top rope to block. Jake drills some punches into Kudo’s exposed ribs and shoves him backward. Kudo falls back to the mat and lands on his feet. While Jake is still seated on the top rope, Kudo strikes with a gamengiri! Having properly apprehended Jake, Kudo sends him crashing back down to the mat with an Iconoclasm! Kudo gets to his feet and climbs to the top rope. Kudo leaps off with a frog splash, but Jake manages to get his knees up and buries them into Kudo’s abdomen! Both men get to their feet at around the same time, but Jake acts first by taking a run at Kudo, straight into a superkick. However, this only momentarily dazes Jake, who promptly retaliates with a Jumping Spinning Leg Lariat! Jake struggles back to his feet. When Kudo gets to his knees, Jake takes a sidestep and swings his foot around to drill a roundhouse kick straight into Kudo's throat!
McNally: What a brutal maneuver! I am told Jake calls it the Second Heartbeat, and that might just be the end of it!

Phillip: Here is your winner and the NEW Light-Heavyweight Champion...“THE TRINITY”...JAKE...CHENG!
The crowd goes ballistic, and Jake's expression is a joy to behold. He accepts the belt from the referee, and holds it up... maybe Fallen Heroes represents a turning point for him, after all. As for Kudo... he is left at the metaphorical bottom of a deep hole... can he find a way to come back and prove himself all over again?
