Phillip: And now, weighing in at a solid two hundred pounds, hailing out of Washington D.C, Senator Steve Phillips!
The front row throws red white and blue streamers into the ring, as the officials try to pick things up. Rena stands behind the Senator, and as she takes his ring jacket off, huge pyro explodes from the turnbuckles, and flies up to the ceiling, where a pyro arrangement in the shape of the American flag sets off, as Latino gets ready to enter.
Phillip: And his opponent from New York, New York……Victor “Latino” Laureano!!
As the beats of Lowrider hit the speakers the fans give out a huge pop for Latino. The cameras swarm around the arena looking down at he fans. Many signs that say “Latino” and “The Latino One” are shown throughout the arena. The fans start cheering even louder as Latino comes out onto the Omega Effect Stage. His outfit tonight is different from his usual attire as his pants are now a full design with the Puerto Rican Flag. His wrists are taped up and Latino is carrying around congas as they are strapped to his neck. As he walks down to the stage he starts playing the congas to the beats of Lowrider. Latino goes to the fans in the front row and lets them play the congas. He then starts walking down to the ring still playing to beat as the fans keep cheering louder and louder. Latino finally takes off the congas and then rolls inside the ring under the ropes. He climbs the turnbuckle slapping his chest and then pointing out to the fans. He jumps down onto mat and stares across the ring to Senator. As the ref walks over to check Latino, he starts offering the congas to Senator.
As this is happening, Mercer Stanton stands from his chair once again.
Mercer: Ahem. Mr. Referee, could I see you for a moment? You two just hold off for a bit longer.
The referee exits the ring and heads up the ramp to where Stanton is, and they talk out of the reach of his microphone. After a brief conversation has transpired, Elias pulls two shiny objects from his coat and hands them to the referee, who then heads back to the ring.
Mercer: The best way to settle something is by teaching someone a lesson. If you hit someone with brass knuckles, that teaches them. That's why this is now a Brass Knuckles match. Use them to your heart's content.
He sits back down. The referee hands the brass knuckles to both Senator and Latino. As the Referee starts explaining the rules of the newly made stipulation, Senator starts telling the referee that he has no motivation to use the brass knuckles. Latino quickly pipes in and agrees with the Senator; there is a quick shot of Stanton frowning. As Latino keeps yelling about how he is going to beat Senator on his own Senator offers his hand for a handshake. Latino stops talking and looks at his hand and then at Senator. The fans all around the arena start booing loudly and Latino yells out a loud “NO!” but the Senator keeps insisting. Latino looks around to the fans as he extends his arm. The two rivals start shaking hands as the fans give out mixed results until Senator pulls Latino in and locks on a cross armbar. Senator quickly releases the hold as both men spring to their feet. The referee calls for the bell as both men stare at one another.
The Bell Rings.

As the match starts, Latino tries for a punch to the face but Senator ducks tries to grab Latino’s leg. He quickly moves to the side and tries for a kick to Senator’s face but he grabs a hold of the leg and twists it forcing Latino onto the mat. Latino turns around and starts throwing rights and lefts in the face of Senator and then uses his other leg to kick in the face breaking free of Senator’s grasp. He rolls back getting away from Senator and gets back to his feet quickly. Shaking of his twisted foot a bit Latino starts calling out to his opponent to get back up. Senator gets up and Latino wastes no time as he starts smacking his forearm against the back of Senator. He grabs him by the hair and whips him into the corner. He taunts to the fans as they give out a pop and then runs to Senator in the corner. Latino jumps up and grabs a hold of his opponent’s head. He pulls back with a DDT driving Senator’s head deep in the mat. Latino springs back up and climbs the turnbuckle. He points to the fans and then jumps off with a moonsault but Senator lifts his knees up countering the move. Senator rolls over and tries to lock on another submission but Latino doesn’t want anything of it as he rolls out of the ring.
Latino stands up and then stumbles back as his feet touch the outside mats. He falls back against the outside barriers as the fans start patting him on the back. He turns his head and sees that a fan is holding out his cup of beer. On instinct, he grabs the cup and quickly drinks the beer spilling it all over his self and some fans close by. Latino shakes his head and then climbs the barrier. He stands up calling for another beer as a few fans run up with cups in the hand. Latino snatches two and turns around looking back in the ring. He throws one at Senator, whom is leaning against the ropes yelling at Latino for being unprofessional, and then drinks the second down. Senator can’t take any more of this as he steps between the ropes. He jumps out straight at Latino but he jumps back at him. Both men collide head first and fall down onto the mat. Latino lands first and Senator follows shortly behind him. The fans are now chanting out loud “Latino! Latino! Latino!” over and over again. Both men start rolling around in pain and Latino hears the chants as he is the first to get up. The Referee back in the ring is making his count as Latino is finally up on two feet. He starts stumbling around again and yelling at Senator “Get up, cabrón! Levantate!” But Latino doesn’t wait for Senator to fully get up as he is on one knee. He grabs him by the head and pushes him into the barrier. Latino rolls Senator on his back laying across the barrier and the climbs it stands up as the fans cheer louder. Latino bends over and grabs Senator by the hair forcing him to stand up. He throws one punch but then the Senator throws one back at him. Latino ducks the punch and then quickly pulls off the Switchblade Cut.
As the two men fall down Senator’s neck hits the barrier hard and he flies back into the audience. Latino falls onto the outside mats but gets back up as a rush of adrenaline runs through his veins. He rolls in and out of the to break the Referee’s count and then jumps on top of the barrier. Slapping his chest once more to the fans Latino jumps off with Last Night’s Hangover. As Latino is in midair, Senator kicks back up and catches Latino. He holds him up for a brief second and then slams him down on the concrete floor with a Capture Bomb. Senator grabs Latino by the arm and picks drags him over the barrier. It He finally throws Latino back in the ring and rolls himself back inside going underneath the ropes. Senator covers Latino for the pin and the Referee makes the count One…Two…-Kickout by Latino as the fans stand up on their feet popping out like crazy. Senator stands Latino up and immediately starts giving him knife-edge chops. Latino takes a few steps back with every hit until he finally grabs a hold of Senator’s arm and strikes him in the face. He keeps punching faster and faster until The Senator ducks one and gives him a strike of his own. The two men go back and forth as they give one another left and rights. Latino lunges back as he hit across the jaw but he lunges forward with a punch to the nose. Senator falls back a few steps and this time Latino drokicks Senator right in the knee knocking him down. The Senator appears to be out on the mat after taking the barrage of punches from Latino, although it is also apparent that Latino has taken quite a bit of damage from the exchange.
Both men get to their feet, and stare each other down. Latino, having the momentum advantage, makes the first strike, connecting with a series of right jabs, dropping the Senator again. Latino moves in, but the Senator is able to take him down with a quick dragon screw. Latino rolls to his feet, catching the Senator and whipping him into the ropes, and catching him with a huge shoulder block on the rebound, sending Phillips bouncing head over heels. The Senator rolls back from the impact, running forwards, but Latino catches him into a powerslam, but instead of slamming him down, he delays for a second, and drops him on his head with a modified Northern Lights Bomb, covering with the pin…1…2…the Senator kicks out!
Dwight: Now that was a unique variation on the Northern Lights Bomb, although it shares some similarities with Davey Marvel’s Davey Driver ’05, another excellent move.

Latino runs off the ropes, coming back and dropping a huge knee on Phillips. The Senator starts to get to his feet, but Latino dropkicks him in the head, sending him rolling out of the ring. Laureano follows up to the ring apron, waiting for the Senator to get to his feet. Phillips, though, is not so easily stopped, and leaps up onto the apron with Latino. The two trade blows, and seem to be evenly matched, when Latino catches a punch, and hits an exploder off the ring apron to the floor! The crowd goes insane, as it is clear that these two are going at a pace rarely seen even in ACW at this point, with crowd favorite Laureano getting the upper hand. Latino rolls the Senator back into the ring, placing him into a rear chinlock for a moment, before going for a series of kicks and a dropkick to the back. Latino picks the Senator up, going for a powerbomb, but the Senator’s been noted as a tough man to powerbomb, and counters it into a back body drop, holding onto the legs, cradling the neck, and running forward to deliver the Polarizer…but Latino manages to spring off the ground, rebounding into a high impact sunset flip…1…2…the Senator kicks his legs together, and escapes the pin, then grabs Latino’s legs, flipping forward into a jackknife pin…1…Latino kicks out, and this time, he kicks the Senator in the gut, dragging him towards the ropes. He then jumps back up onto the top turnbuckle, holding the Senator by the head, and pulling him up to the top. The two struggle for a second, but Latino makes a move, hooking his legs in the ropes, and throwing the Senator backwards with a belly to belly overhead release suplex, sending him off the top and straight onto the announcers table, which explodes on impact.
Eddie Edison: Daaaaannnnnggggeerrrrroouuuussss! Oh man! Oh Man! Oh Man!
McNally: That, I dare say, was one of the…oh, look out, get out of the way…
McNally was watching Latino, who had turned around on the top of the corner, then leaps off, nailing the Senator with a huge Coqui’s Flight frog splash! The move absolutely destroys both competitors, who take almost twenty seconds to recover. As they get to their knees, Latino favors his left knee, but is still able to punch the Senator repeatedly in his face, before slightly limping into the ring. The Senator takes slightly longer, but is able to get in, and gain his footing in the ring. Latino rushes forwards, but receives a knee to the gut for his trouble. Phillips rebounds off the ropes, going for a Partisan Kick, which Laureano is able to sidestep. The Senator turns around, right into a Switchblade Cut…but the Senator is able to keep a rear chinlock hooked, lifting Latino up into the Victory Driver…but this time, Latino counters, flipping back into a huge Asai DDT! Latino then picks Phillips up, this time getting him on his shoulders for a huge cross powerbomb…but now it’s the Senator’s turn to counter, unhooking his arms one at a time, and re-hooking Latino’s arms for a Backslide, however, he does not slide him down for the pin, instead, flipping Latino over his shoulders, and flipping forwards, keeping the arms hooked, rolling forward for his first ever Beltway Buster in ACW!
The Senator starts to arch his back up with the arms hooked to go for the backslide, but thinks better of it, standing up. He then points into the crowd, at his four guests, with a strange look of glee on his countenance. As Latino recovers, the Senator catches him with a beautiful deep armdrag, obviously as a tribute to Ricky Steamboat. Getting up, Phillips spins away with a Cross Wizard taunt, and it is clear that he is going to honor Keiji Mutoh, sure enough, as Latino gets up to one knee, the Senator rushes in with an uncharacteristically sloppy Shining Wizard, smacking Latino in the head with his knee. The Senator now reaches in his attire, pulling out a huge elbow pad, which he puts on his left arm, tugging on it high in the air. Phillips charges in, nearly decapitating Latino with a huge left arm lariat, finishing with a Longhorn pose, yelling to the crowd. The Senator then gives his elbow pad to a ringside official, pointing to Karl Gotch, before picking Laureano up one last time, picking him up in a piledriver position, clasping his hands together, then completing the cradle piledriver that Gotch made famous. The crowd is fired up as the Senator then makes his trademark “That’s It!” pose, picking up Latino’s legs, crossing them for the Victory Lock II…but Latino is not dead yet, and reaches up, pulling the Senator into an inside cradle pin…1…2…3!!!!!! Latino wins the match!! Latino wins the match!!!
Phillip: Your winner, Latino!
As Latino starts to get to his feet, a perturbed Raymond Allen Fleming shakes his head, grabbing the microphone.
RAF: No, it was a very close two count! I repeat, you morons, a two count! Continue the bloody match! The Senator and Latino get up, and even though the Senator has the superior conditioning, Latino has the guts to carry on, jabbing the Senator in the face, knocking him down repeatedly. Latino then catches him with a vertical suplex, then another, and another, up to seven vertical suplexes, covering for the pin…1…2…no!
Latino gets up, shuffles, and drops a series of elbows. The Senator is out on his feet, barely able to recover when Latino goes for a superkick to his temple…but the Senator is able to catch it into a dragon screw, which he links directly to a vertical elevated half boston crab, his original finisher, the Tax Cut. Latino struggles to escape, but is not able to. The Senator holds on for over a minute, however, with Latino not giving up, Phillips looks frustrated enough to let go of the hold…but for the second time in the match, gets a strange look on his face, turning inside, reaching back, and hooking the other leg, then steps back, behind Latino’s arms, and leaning forward into a torture submission.
Dwight: No, not this, no, I warned him not to do that move! Please don’t do it! You don’t need the Nuclear Option!
The Senator hears Dwight’s pleas, but shakes his head, and in one of the five most dangerous spots in ACW history, he bends slightly down, before leaping straight up, and what goes up…must follow the laws of physics, and this is no exception, as the Senator nails Latino into the mat with an unprotected neck spike. Tiger Hattori leaps up from his seat at ringside, motioning to Fleming to stop the match, but the stubborn ACW head referee waves him off furiously. The Senator then steels himself one more time, leaping into the air again, piledriving Latino once again…and off the impact of the second neck spike, and off Latino’s spinal column, the Senator executes a third and final piledriver out of the Nuclear Option, hushing the entire audience in the Arena.
Edison: Holy hand of Strangelove, that…was…INSANE!!!
Phillips finally lets go of the hold, allowing Latino to crumple to the mat, and shortly after, follows suit, in a convenient position, set up for the pin…1…2…3!!
Phillips: Your real winner, the Senator, Steve Phillips!
The paramedics rush the ring quickly setting Latino on a gurney. Alicia Kitsune rushesto check on her fiancee, accompanying Latino to the back as the medics hurry him off. The entire Senatorial Stable all come out to the ring, lifting the Senator on their shoulders for a moment before he motions them to put him down. As they follow out Phillips’s command, he collapses to the mat, thoroughly exhausted. As the camera fades to black, the Senator is able to roll out of the ring, and with the help of his friends, he exits the Arena to a strange hushed ovation.

#1 PPV: Winter’s Discontent: HIAC Evolved (Rose vs Yoko vs BK vs RDK vs BS vs Surion)
-For the first part of this match check our Winter’s Discontent PPV
An even more intense fight is being played out in the first ring; Blade is tiring of RDK’s attentions, and now his attacks have become cold and savage as he tries to beat RDK into submission. RDK’s steps become wobbly, and he is forced back to the ropes; Blade taunts him softly as he locks in a sleeper, pressing his fingers against the arteries in RDK’s neck to cut off the supply of oxygenated blood to his brain. RDK’s head is becoming muzzy, his senses dulled, but one thing cuts through it all; somewhere in the massive throngs of fans, people are still chanting, “RDK! RDK! RDK!”. RDK’s eyes are glassy, and Blade releases the hold; he lifts RDK up above his head – but suddenly RDK responds, and jumps off to land upright behind Blade. Blade swings around, and RDK flexes his muscles; the fans cheer, and bellow “OoOoOoOoh Yeah!” RDK smiles at Blade, holds up his hand, and then responds at top volume.
RDK: OOOOOOOOH YEAH BRUDAS!!
The fans go ballistic as RDK swings into full Macho mode; he closes in on Blade; Blade punches him hard, but RDK no – sells it and gives him a Macho Slam. This is followed straight away by a Jabroni Buster, and finally the legendary Rock Bottom. This would normally be enough to put anyone’s lights out, but RDK still isn’t done; he slides out of the ring, and climbs swiftly up the cage wall to one of the small platforms positioned about 7 feet from the top of the cage. RDK does not waste a second; as soon as he’s gauged the distance, he leaps up and sails downward to land a perfect macho Moonsault. The huge BANG on impact stops everyone else in their tracks – they rush across the ring, but the count’s already in progress and they won’t make it. The crowd counts, 1,2 thr – Blade kicks, and there’s a cry of surprise and disappointment from the crowd.
The others don’t bother to see what happens next – Yoko sees the perfect opportunity to make use of the work Rose has already done on Surion’s leg, and she knocks him down before applying the old Ball and Chain. Surion yells, but he doesn’t have long to wait before BK breaks the hold with a Shades of Michaels superkick to Yoko from behind. BK rolls Yoko up, and Rose drags him off of Yoko before the count even gets to 2. With Yoko down and Surion in pain with his leg, Rose grasps her chance and sets up BK for the Mark of the Rose, her eyes gleaming at the thought of utterly obliterating her hated foe. But BK counters, and attempts a whip to the ropes, only to have it reversed; he bounces from the ropes on one side, ducks a clothesline attempt from Rose, and bounces off the other side; he speeds up as much as he can, and Rose turns around to be met by a storming Yakuza Kick. Rose crashes to the mat – but BK drops next to her only a second or two later, brought down by a flipping dropkick from Surion. Surion drops on top of BK and hooks the leg; the count starts, 1,2 – Yoko drags him off, and the pair glare at one another as they move closer –
But the camera abruptly swings around to focus back on RDK and Blade; after the moonsault, it has taken a few moments for them both to get moving again, but now the stakes are raised as Blade has acquired a chair from some place or other. Blade takes a swing at RDK, who blocks it, pulls the chair away and promptly bashes Blade over the head. RDK drops the chair and again climbs the cell wall to the small platform; he again acts quickly, jumping into a second elevated moonsault – but this time their battle has not gone unnoticed. As RDK descends, BK belts from ring to ring and leaps up to dropkick RDK in mid air; the pair come crashing down, and BK drags himself to the corner as fast as he can. He doesn’t have time for any ritual; the SSP is performed with simple grace and devastating power, and the fans are agreed that it just keeps getting better every time they see it. BK pins again, breathing hard to try and get rid of some of the lactic acid scorching his muscles; RDK kicks at 2.5, and BK now pays for his aerial stunt in the form of a slowed response time. RDK snatches up the chair from next to him, throws it to BK, and gives him a Van Daminator before BK can get rid of the weapon. RDK drops and covers but Blade sits upright and rolls over to drag him away. The crowd is making an insane amount of noise as Blade hits the Lights, and covers….only to be thwarted by BK. They struggle briefly; Blade is about to give BK a demonstration of his Lights finisher, but BK breaks out, and counters the move into a reverse Tornado DDT. BK pins, and RDK is too far away to stop it; but Surion is not, and he elbow drops on to BK to break it up. Rose and Yoko are not far behind, and now for the first time in the entire match all six competitors are in the same ring at once…..

Absolute chaos ensues, and it’s difficult to pick up all the details of the melee. Finishers are executed left, right and centre; but such is the density of wrestlers per square foot that no one can get past a count of 2, even with 2 referees, without someone else interrupting it. RDK goes for an ambitious clothesline on BK, Blade and Surion all at once, but his foes are on the ball and he is lifted into a flapjack that dumps him right outside the ring, face first. In the midst of battle, BK suplexes Surion on to the ropes; Surion topples over, but grabs the top rope and hangs on until he can get his feet on to the apron. Surion turns and is about to springboard from the top rope – but BK has a part 2 to his strategy, and he rushes forward, spearing Surion through the ropes and driving him into the cage wall backward. The cage buckles a little, and BK whips Surion into one of the ring posts; he is about to pin, but both referees are engaged elsewhere. Cursing, BK rolls Surion back into the ring; he climbs up to the apron, whereupon Yoko grabs him by the neck and takes him backward over her head, dropping him on to his. Yoko pins; this time a ref is available, and a 2 count is given before Rose hauls Yoko off, looking absolutely livid. Yoko too is at the end of her tether; she slaps Rose, who punches her back, and they fight violently. Rose whips Yoko across the ring; Yoko inadvertently takes down one of the two referees, but she’s far too angry to notice. She storms back only to find that Blade and Rose are now tearing strips off of one another, and a mis – kick from Blade drops the second referee. Yoko, made short sighted by her anger, hits Rose with a DDT, but then takes a german suplex from Blade; Blade laughs at their foolish quarrel, and advances on Rose, who is struggling to find her feet. Blade closes his hand round Rose’s neck and lifts her up; Rose struggles, but she’s tiring, and it looks bad for the defending champ and everyone else –- but then there’s a huge roar from the crowd, and Blade doesn’t even have time to turn around before he’s nailed in the back by RDK with a massive sledgehammer. RDK doesn’t take any prisoners; BK takes a shot, followed by Surion, and then Yoko. Rose and RDK are the only people left standing; they look at one another, measuring each other, and Rose gives RDK a small nod. RDK raises the hammer and charges; Rose ducks under his swing and continues to the ropes. RDK drops the sledgehammer as he reaches the opposite side and it slides out of the ring, clanging against the cell wall; the pair rebound toward one another, and the impact is dramatic. They clothesline one another, and collapse to the floor; the crowd becomes a little quieter, and for the first time there is stillness, as nobody moves…..except one of the two referees. He shakes the stars from his head and looks around; and slowly, he begins a 10 – count. As he reaches 4, RDK rolls over and pulls himself up to one knee; the other superstars can evidently hear the referee, but fatigue is making it difficult for them to respond. RDK’s eyes travel across the ring, and he sees Blade stirring; the Macho Man’s expression hardens, and he picks up the now rather battered steel chair, draping it over Blade before heading to the corner. He hauls himself up and performs a chairsault; it lacks the finesse of some of his earlier acrobatics, but it still hits hard. The ref abandons the 10 count at 7 to call the pin, since the rest of the field is beginning to recover as well; the others try to make a move, but Blade throws an arm up at 2.5, grasps RDK, and rolls the pair of them over the edge and out of the ring.
The other competitors are gradually finding their feet with the assistance of the ropes; they move more slowly than before, but the desire for victory is as strong as ever. Rose tries to use her Dragon sleeper on Surion, but BK wades in, punching Surion when he can’t defend; Surion lifts up his feet and kicks BK away, and BK staggers backward to be speared by Yoko from behind. Yoko pins, and BK kicks at 2; Rose, in her hurry to stop Yoko, drops Surion and thus gives him an easy escape from what could have been a match – ending situation. Surion makes Rose pay for her preoccupation; as she approaches the scrapping Yoko and BK, Surion dropkicks her from behind and lays her over the middle rope. The crowd roars “6-1-9!!” and Surion obliges them; the move connects, and Surion follows up with a springboard corkscrew moonsault into a cover. Rose just about breaks it before the 3 count, and the battle could easily be won or lost on a single inspired action or mistake….
Things aren’t any quieter on the outside. Blade and RDK are fighting like tigers; RDK is obviously pained at having to fight his old friend in this manner, but there’s a steely determination in him to try and beat the “demon” out of him. Over and over again the pair send each other into the unforgiving walls; Blade’s skin is scraped and cut, leaving little drops of blood at each impact. But he just seems to get more and more angry, and stronger with it; in desperation, RDK pulls out a second chair and chokes Blade, trying to wear him down and stop the rampage. The second referee is back into action, and he follows Blade and RDK at a safe distance, ready to count any pin attempt. Blade rips the chair away and smacks RDK with it on the back; Blade smiles nastily as he hurls RDK head – first at the door, and the heavy impact makes it give way. It swings open; RDK pulls himself up using the cell mesh, and as he holds it, he appears to have an idea. RDK beckons to Blade, and starts to climb, and Blade doesn’t hesitate to follow him.

Back in the ring, the weary contestants remaining there have reached an impasse, and they are lying scattered about on the canvas, all taking a few seconds to rest and too dazed to try and go for a pin right away. BK is the first of them to move – he rolls out of the ring, leans up against the cell wall for a moment, and decides that extreme measures are necessary if he’s to make the all important breakthrough. BK moves around the ring, lifting up the apron cover, until he finds what he wants; the crowd noise surges once again as he pulls out a table. The sweat streams down BK’s face and back, just as it does for all the competitors, and he looks tired as he pushes the table into the ring and rolls in after it. But the fire in his eyes is as strong, as bright as it ever was, and he gets the table set up close to one of the corners. BK looks around him and sees Rose; though he’s willing to win the title any way he can, he knows that only by cleanly pinning the champion will he be able to prevent Rose from goading him ceaselessly about the nature of his victory. BK walks toward Rose; he’s within a couple of feet, but then he gets pulled back and whipped toward the very table he just set up. Relying on pure skill, BK kicks into a flip against the edge of the table – he lands on his feet to a big pop, and swings around with his arm already outstretched. He belts Yoko before she can react; Yoko wobbles backward, and BK senses a chance to put another old feud to rest. He grabs Yoko and pulls her toward the table; Yoko tries to free herself, but BK’s will is stronger at the pivotal moment, and he launches the pair of them into a Tazzplex. They crash right through the table, and chants of “HOLY SHIT!” and “ECW! ECW!” fill the arena. BK smiles; splinters are sticking into his back, but he doesn’t care – he can see the ref, and all he has to do is cover Yoko. But as he looks up, the camera catches his expression turn from satisfaction to surprise, and then almost panic – in his struggle with Yoko, he has missed Rose’s little excursion to the outside. Rose is standing on the corner post above him, and her arms and torso are now wrapped in barbed wire. She raises her hands, and lifts off; the moment seems to take place in slow motion for BK and Rose, but for everyone else it’s over in a couple of seconds. Rose strikes both BK and Yoko heavily, and she just lies in place, covering them – the ref slides in and counts, 1….2…. – Rose readies herself for the crowd’s sonic boom and the bell, but instead she is dragged off of the pair. Rose rips her arm away and rolls to her feet; she comes face to face with Surion, who has cuts all over his hands from grasping the barbed wire along with her arms. Without any warning, Rose charges; Surion’s speed is cut though tiredness, and Rose spears him out of the ring. She throws aside the wire and starts kicking Surion, close to the open cell door…..
While all this has been going on, an equally ferocious battle has been raging on top of the cell itself. Blade and RDK are slamming and suplexing one another; several times the crowd has braced itself for a suicide plunge, but so far the roof appears to be standing up to the punishment it’s taking. One spot seems to be weaker than the others, and Blade tries repeatedly to break it; but it holds, and driven on by the crowd RDK “machos” up again. Totally equal in strength, the fight moves close to the edge of the cell near to where the pair climbed up; RDK aims a huge kick at Blade and the ninja is certain to fall – but Blade grabs RDK’s foot, pivots on the very edge of the cell, and swings RDK out instead. The crowd screams; RDK falls, but he’s facing the mesh and manages to arrest his descent about halfway down the cell. Blade sees this, swears, and immediately pursues with a terrifyingly fast spider climb. He catches up to RDK and tries to dislodge him; RDK punches him back, the wall vibrates violently, and then in a split second they lose their grip simultaneously and fall…..

…..to land on the deeply unfortunate Surion, who at that moment has been whipped out of the cell through the door by Rose. RDK and Blade roll off, both very winded from the impact; Rose rushes out and covers Surion, and the ref who had been watching RDK and Blade’s battle is in just the right place to make the count. The crowd is going crazy, surely it must be over….but a bloodied BK somehow hurtles out of the door just in time to stop the pin before the 3 count is given. BK throws Rose back into the cell, away from the other participants who might interfere, but Blade is hot on his tail, and RDK and Surion follow Blade. Yoko is waiting for them all to return, and they all end up back in the ring, as if by general agreement. The six look at one another – without exception they are exhausted, both mentally and physically, and none of them have the strength to continue for more than a few minutes longer. One way or another, the match is approaching its crunch point.
As if a second bell has been rung, they all attack at the same moment. All hell breaks loose, and all alliances and feuds are null and void – the one and only aim for every man and woman is a pin, any pin. In the mayhem, BK goes for a crossbody on Surion but gets back dropped out of the ring; in close proximity, RDK clotheslines Surion and he too is sent over the top. BK climbs back on to the apron, but the edge of the ring is a happy hunting ground for RDK, and he dropkicks BK into the cell wall with astonishing force. Eager to capitalize, RDK tries another moonsault from the ropes, but BK shifts aside and RDK strikes the hard floor. Surion now gets his chance, and he further dazes RDK with the Hand of Albion…….only to then fall victim to BK’s own Migraine (Unprettier). Surion lies still very close to the apron, and BK goes for the pin, but RDK pulls him away, kicks him in the gut and then whips BK toward the cell wall. But BK manages to alter his trajectory so that he goes flying out of the open cell door; RDK looks around for Surion to pin him, but he seems to have disappeared. So instead he follows BK; as RDK pursues him, BK looks at the cell wall, and calculates where the odds will be most in his favour. It’s a risky call, but BK starts to climb – RDK exits the structure, and as he looks up at BK he decides that he stands a better chance against one opponent than four. Despite the inherent risks, RDK again starts to ascend – but will the gamble pay off, or will the match be decided back on terra firma?
In the ring, Blade seems to have finally snapped – his eyes blaze with dark purpose as he smashes punches and kicks into Yoko and Rose – it’s as if his brain has stopped registering the pain and fatigue of the match. If ever there was a time that Yoko and Rose needed one another, it’s now; but still Rose can’t overcome her paranoia, and Blade exploits their separation ruthlessly. Eventally, Blade manages to hit the Light of Orion on Rose – but Yoko immediately strikes back with her evenflow DDT. The crowd noise is awe – inspiring, and as Yoko looks about she realizes that there’s no opposition in sight. All she has to do is cover Blade or Rose…..but Yoko hesitates. Even after Rose’s anger and accusations, Yoko can not, will not betray her trust; and as she’s thinking this, she hears the sound of someone jumping into the ring from behind. It’s Surion, who has hidden briefly under the ring to avoid getting pinned by RDK; Yoko is quietly glad to have someone else to fight, and she smiles and gives Surion the “come on” gesture…..
While Yoko has been following the dictates of her conscience, BK and RDK have been battling way above; parts of the roof bending under their weight. They move across the space, to the side opposite where they climbed up; below them are the announce desks. At the very edge of the drop, RDK and BK grapple; the crowd is almost screaming, and with a titanic effort BK suplexes RDK over the side into space. RDK has only microseconds to react; he shoots out his arms behind him and grasps the wire, holding on before kicking off and flipping back, kicking BK powerfully in the gut. Bk is shoved backward; RDK scrambles to his feet, lifts BK up…..and with a huge yell throws BK out and downward. Now the crowd really screams; the announce team hove only a second or two to dive clear before BK’s fall is broken by the desk. It is well padded to defend the electronic equipment from impact, but nevertheless it’s a mighty impact to take……and there’s more to come. RDK lifts up his arms, scratched and torn all over, and cameras soak the arena with light as he jumps…..and for a moment, it’s as if he’ll rise and soar forever…..before he twists over into his moonsault landing position. There’s a great crash as the second impact finishes the demolition job on the announce desk; a camera rushes over, and one of the refs is ready for the pin – but there is nothing to count. RDK’s moonsault may have been incredible to watch, but it has hurt him almost as much as BK – the pair are lying, side by side and knocked out, neither able to pin the other. But there may yet be hope for them, as the situation in the ring is far from settled….
The four inside the cell are now running on empty fuel tanks. Surion tries to finish things with Surion’s Revenge, but Rose counters and hits her own Mark of the Rose with incredible violence. As she does this, Blade almost decapitates Yoko with a Thor’s Hammer, and Yoko’s eyes glaze as she lies on the mat. Seeing one another, Rose and Blade stand up and approach the centre of the ring. The crowd, which has been shouting its lungs out for most of the match, falls almost silent as Rose and Blade regard one another. Blade smiles as Rose breathes deeply from all the exertion of the match.

Blade: You know that you cannot defeat me….I have but one purpose, and I will not stop until I fulfil it.
Rose says nothing; she just continues to stare. Blade raises an eyebrow.
Blade: You still really believe that he’s coming back, don’t you? Don’t you understand? He has absorbed the essence of pure evil…..even one such as he cannot overcome such a force. You are alone, Alexandra, and will be forever more……
Rose’s features become pained as she battles with her fear and sorrow. She takes a step back, and Blade takes one toward her, his vicious grin growing wider and more confident –
GONG……….
The lights fail, and the audience practically sets a new world indoor noise record.
GONG……..
Everyone is looking around, trying to be the first to spot that infamous silhouette. But the seconds pass, and there’s nothing……until suddenly, Rose’s voice is heard, strong now and crystal clear.
Rose: I am NOT alone, fool, and I never shall be – Lord Ridley is with me, in my heart and soul even if his body is elsewhere. And because of this, I shall NEVER fall to a pathetic slave such as you!
Rose spins a monumental kick at Blade and sends him halfway across the ring. Blade jumps back up, eyes flaming, and the pair charge each other in their last attempt for victory…….
They both swing kicks at the same time, and you would need a slow motion camera to spot Blade connecting with Rose a millisecond ahead of her shot. Blade ducks, and Rose falls to the mat, holding her head; Blade looks perfectly calm as he lifts Rose and puts all his remaining strength into a final burst of the Lights. Rose lies still; Blade stands over her and bends down to whisper close to her ear.
Blade: Now tell me, Rose…..who is the slave, and who is the master?
The crowd is going off its collective head – but neither Blade nor Rose realizes why. For in the corner, a single figure is moving; they lift themselves up to their feet, and climb up to the top of the metal post.
Yoko keeps her eyes on Blade, and her inner fire, the quality which first drew Ridley and Rose to her, burns as never before. And that fire is about to come to the surface…….quietly, Yoko pulls out a little bottle from her shirt, similar to the one containing her poison fluid. But instead of taking a mouthful, she bends down and pours it over her ring boots……
A few people in the crowd suddenly twig what Yoko is doing; they cry out to their friends, and the noise becomes overwhelming as Yoko discard the bottle and produces a lighter. She flicks it, and looks at the bright flame for a moment before dropping it on to her boots. The kerosene ignites, and Yoko jumps u, aiming for Blade’s head; he turns, and has just a second to see Yoko’s blazing feet in all their glory before she nails him with a flaming “M.Bison” flying guillotine. Blade’s face is smashed into the canvas; Yoko takes quite an impact herself, and rolls away. Rose feels the powerful vibration; she is too dazed to fully understand, but sensing a body in close proximity, she pulls herself up and forward just enough so that she collapses to the mat with one arm over Blade’s chest. The ref on the inside dives in for the count….
…and at that very moment, on the outside, BK lifts up his head, stares ahead as if unable to focus properly, and drops sideways to cover RDK.
The counts seem to start at exactly the same moment – and the refs are almost in synch with one another as they hit 3. Almost….but not quite.
The ref in the ring is just a tiny fraction ahead – and it’s his hand that the timekeeper sees raised first. The bell rings, the crowd explodes, and though the big screen seems to suggest that one count was marginally ahead, it’s only when the timekeeper confirms the result to Philip that the issue is settled.
Philip, like everyone else in the arena, is practically hoarse from yelling, but nevertheless he grabs his mic and gasps the result to make it official.
Philip: Here….is your…..winner, and still…..ACW Champion………Alexandra Kaesar!
In the cell, nobody moves for several seconds; the referee, looking somewhat bruised and battered himself, brings the belt to Rose and helps her to her feet. Rose is still very dazed and trying to make sense of things, but as she hears the crowd she looks at the belt in her hand, then at Yoko and Blade who are still down in the ring. Yoko’s boots are no longer on fire, but they still smoke a little, and Rose begins to understand what has happened. Yoko is exhausted; she opens her eyes and looks at Rose, and smiles weakly, and Rose smiles back, her expression one of gratitude and apology for letting herself become paranoid over the title. Slowly the other competitors start to pick themselves up, having given everything and now utterly spent; on the outside, the referee has to explain to BK what has happened, and even RDK seems to have sympathy for him as he slowly stands up, unable to believe that he has again lost the title by such a tiny margin. The cameras and the crowd’s attention are all focused on the champion, as the referee hands back her belt……so by the time anybody spots the ominous shape of Jack Fury sliding out of the crowd next to the cell, there’s no time for them to react. Fury waits until Rose is walking away from Yoko, holding her belt in the air…..
As we come back Ginger, Dwight, and Kevin Anderson are all walking down the hallway. Ginger looks quite angry that they had to interrupt him from his vacation.
Ginger: Kevin, your getting a deduct from your pay..
Kevin: But why?
Ginger: You pissed me off.
Kevin: Grr...
The reach outisde and Dwight gets in the limo first, then Ginger, Kevin appears to be distracted somewhere else and they shut the door. Kevin quickly realizes it and he tries to open the door but the limo starts up and his sleeve gets hooked on the car door dragging him down the street. Finally a telephone pole stops him as he goes headfirst into it. Kevin rolls over on his back...
Kevin: One helluva year eh?
Kevin faints, then another car passes by and splashes mud all over him as we fade out.
