Gingerdude: This match is scheduled for one fall, and is the first match in the Hot Young Talent Tournament!
Back in Black by AC/DC hits
Ginger: Making his way to the ring…..from Hickory, NC, Tyd412!
Tyd comes to the ring to cheers from the crowd.
Ginger: And his opponent, from Parts Unknown…..The Masked Assassin!
Assassin doesn’t waste any time; with his face hidden by his mask, he speeds to the ring and leaps forward to meet Tyd.
Bell rings.
Assassin starts off offensively, with a flurry of punches and kicks. Tyd, though, is a tough nut to crack and he is easily able to respond with punches that are far more powerful. Assassin is knocked down and this allows Tyd to set him up for a German suplex. Sensing that Assassin needs to build up velocity to use his best moves, Tyd alternates between suplexes and slams to try and wear him down, then goes for a pin; Assassin though kicks out easily. Tyd goes back to power moves for a little longer; once he feels that Assassin has weakened, Tyd whips him to the ropes and goes for a clothesline. This though is a mistake, as Assassin is able to dodge the clothesline and hits a swinging neckbreaker. Tyd gets back up but is instantly brought down again by a Sunset Flip, and the referee calls a 2 count before Tyd escapes the roll up. Keen not to make the same mistake twice, Tyd returns to his former strategy; this time though he raises the stakes and uses a powerful piledriver to stun his opponent before putting Assassin into the Scorpion deathlock. Assassin is in great pain but he manages to claw his way to the ropes and the referee forces Tyd to break the hold; Tyd then tries to apply a leglock but Assassin twists out and uses a standing dropkick to knock Tyd down. Assassin then returns the favour by applying a Boston Crab to Tyd, but Tyd is just as determined as Assassin and he too reaches the ropes. As the two get back to their feet, Tyd whips Assassin into the corner and goes for a Spear, but Assassin jumps up on to the post and Tyd reels back in pain. Assassin tries for a 450 splash, however Tyd’s injury does not cloud his judgement and he drops down low to avoid it. Sensing an opportunity, Tyd quickly covers Assassin following his heavy landing, and gets another 2 count. Eager to conclude the match, Tyd uses a DDT and then lifts Assassin up for the Last Ride. Assassin, however, still has great reserves of spirit and he punches Tyd in the head multiple times, before using an eyepoke; Tyd staggers back against the post and Assassin sits on it and kicks Tyd hard in the back of the head, sending Tyd sprawling to the mat. Assassin flips off the crowd and waits for Tyd to roll over on to his back before launching into another 450 splash; this one connects at full force, shaking the ring as it does so. Assassin hooks the leg and the referee gives the 3 count.
Ginger: Here is your winner……….The Masked Assassin!

Gingerdude: This match is scheduled for one fall, and is to decide the winner of the Hot Young Talent Award! Making his way to the ring……….The Masked Assassin!
Assassin comes down to the ring; the crowd are still annoyed at his behaviour earlier.
Tonight the stars Revolt by Powerman 500 hits
Ginger: And his opponent, Spider!
Spider enters and approaches, watching Assassin carefully even as he steps into the ring.
Bell Rings.
Both competitors start in a confident mood, each having defeated a similar opponent in the qualifying rounds. Assassin scores the first hit, whipping Spider against the ropes and then delivering a superkick on his return. He tries to follow up with an elbow drop, but Spider is wise to this and rolls away just far enough to make Assassin miss. As Assassin hits the floor, Spider quickly gets a hold and uses his raw strength to rise and chokeslam Assassin in a single fluid movement. Spider covers but Assassin kicks out almost instantly; as he does so, he sits up and pulls Spider into an over – the - Shoulder Armdrag. He then also tries to cover but Spider is equally quick to respond. As both men rise, Spider goes for a Full Nelson Suplex, and maintains the hold to deliver a Full Nelson Slam as an encore. Again Spider covers, and the referee calls a 2. Spider now tries to step up the pace and whips Assassin to set him up for the Clothesline from Hell. Assassin however ducks and uses a sliding tackle motion to slip out of the ring. Spider follows and Assassin tries to tire Spider out by running around and through the ring; after the first circuit though Spider works out Assassin’s game and just stands still in the centre of the ring. Spider taunts Assassin by kicking his heels and pretending to check his watch, which goads the fiery Assassin into climbing back up on to one of the posts to try for a splash. Spider, who was waiting for such a move, rushes in and grabs hold of Assassin with the intention of repeating the superplex he used successfully against the President; Assassin however shows that he has also paid attention to Spider’s previous match by fighting back and managing to pull off the Tornado DDT originally planned by Spider’s first opponent. The impact is massive, and Assassin hooks the leg so that Spider just barely raises his shoulder before the 1-2-3 count. Both men are tiring from the effort of fighting twice in one night; Assassin throws Spider into a corner and administers a Guillotine Kick. Spider summons all his remaining strength and tries to set up the Demon Bomb, but again Assassin fights back hard. Staggering to the ropes, Spider lifts Assassin as high as he can and hurls him out of the ring and on to the floor; he turns away too quickly though and does not see Assassin roll on landing. Quickly, Assassin crawls as close to the apron as he can and circles the ring so that Spider cannot see him moving; when Spider moves close to the ropes to look for his opponent, Assassin rushes from the opposite side and uses a missile drop kick to stun Spider and drape him over the ropes. Assassin follows up with the 619 and Spider is thrown back to the centre of the ring; finally Assassin goes to the post and hits a frog splash to ensure that Spider stays down for the 1-2-3.
Ginger: Here is your winner of the Hot Young Talent Award………The Masked Assassin!
Assassin snatches the belt from the referee and shows it to the crowd, an arrogant look on his face. He looks dismissively at the fallen Spider and gives him a needless kick to the head, drawing more heat from the crowd, before leaving the ring.
Just as a footnote, Ginger had to leave but we will make sure the match calculation and points data appears in the "complete" version of the show.

As the show recommences following the commercial break, the camera focuses on the TV title belt; as the shot pans back the belt is revealed to be suspended above the ring. In and around the ring are scattered an assortment of weapons including baseball bats, chairs, trash cans, brass knuckles and other such items; ladders and tables can be seen just slightly protruding from underneath the ring itself.
Gingerdude: Ladies and Gentlemen, the following match will be for the WCW TV title! This will be a fixed duration match and will be contested under Hardcore rules; the winner will be the participant who has the title belt in his hands at the end of the 15 minute time limit.
Gingerdude announces the superstars one by one and they make their way down to the ring accompanied by their respective themes, carefully inspecting the weaponry and its position as they do so.
Ginger: Introducing first……….From Charlotte, NC – Flea!
From Parts Unknown, Realhilfan!
From Sacramento, California – Skurai!
From Parts Unknown – Monkeybaal!
From Long Island, New York and Parts unknown – The Dark Master and Rey McFoley, The Poco Locos!
From Parts Unknown, Spike Machinko!
From Columbus, Ohio – Stewart20fan85!
From Parts Unknown – TheBigGamer!
Ginger: And the final participant………….
All eyes in the arena, including those in the ring, turn toward the entrance
GONG……..
GONG…….
The lights go out; the crowd noise rises in anticipation as a line of druids slowly issues out from the entrance, bearing flaming torches. Everyone waits for “Gay Bar” to hit, however suddenly the lights come back on and the crowd roars as Ridley is revealed to be already in the ring, standing behind all the other competitors. In his hand he holds a barbed – wire baseball bat; his face bears just a hint of a demented smile. One or two of the more alert wrestlers see this for a fraction of a second as they turn around before Ridley hurls himself into the throng and sets to work.
The Bell rings and a clock appears on the arena screens: 15 minutes and counting.

Realhilfan is unfortunately standing nearest to the lord of hardcore and he takes the brunt of Ridley’s first few swings. The other contestants though quickly scatter to collect armaments of their own, and they converge to launch a co – ordinated mass attack on the man they all perceive to be their biggest threat. Despite being outnumbered 9 to 1, Ridley’s expression is almost one of childish glee as he dishes out bloody gashes from the wire bat on an equal opportunities basis. Using his natural speed, Skurai ducks the flailing implements and slips behind Ridley to administer a sleeperhold, while Flea has the presence of mind to finally wrench the bat away from Ridley. Skurai drops to the floor; even with Stewart and Spike adding their weight, the three can only just restrain Ridley from breaking the hold. Gradually though, Ridley weakens and begins to lose consciousness; as this is happening, the Poco Locos hop out of the ring and set up a number of tables on the outside. The superstars inside the ring lift Ridley up and over the ropes to where the Pocos are standing on the apron; to gasps and cheers from the crowd they combine their force to 3D Ridley through the nearest table. BigGamer administers a final chair shot and there is a noticeable change in the atmosphere at ringside as the superstars stare at the now glazed over eyes of Ridley. Even in an unconscious state, though, some find his gaze difficult to meet.
Match time remaining: 11 minutes.

This reflective moment is soon broken, however, when Monkeybaal spots Realhilfan climbing a hastily erected ladder in the centre of the ring, trying to reach the title belt. Monkeybaal rushes up to the ladder and begins to climb it; Real tries to keep him back by stomping on his head but this just makes Monkey more determined and he trades punches with Real. Meanwhile, the Pocos, frustrated from their tag team loss, work together to rip through the other competitors outside the ring; they use both weaponry and an array of moves including dropkicks, suplexes and the like. Flea tries to slip away and climbs back into the ring, but he is pursued by Skurai, who whips him into the ropes, missing the ladder by millimetres. As Flea rebounds, Skurai tries for a clothesline but misses; Flea bounces against the opposite ropes and charges straight as Skurai. This time though, Skurai is faster and he lifts and throws Flea back over his shoulders……….straight into the already shaky ladder, just as Monkeybaal finally gets his hand to the title belt. At first the ladder tips slowly, giving Monkey and Real just enough time to realise what is about to happen; the crowd screams as the ladder keels over, hurling its passengers directly into the Spanish announce table and destroying it utterly.
WCW is later fined $5,000 for allowing a string of Spanish obscenities to be broadcast at a “family viewing” hour. Match time remaining: 8 minutes.

Flea tries to use the title belt to take out Rey, but he ducks and Flea receives a series of punches from TDM instead; the belt is knocked away but everyone is too busy brawling to see where it goes. Rey though does not escape scott – free as Spike takes the opportunity to smash a trash can on his head. TDM catches the tired Flea and administers the Dark Calling, the scratches on Flea’s face adding to the blood already present from various weapon blows. The Pocos believe that the match is turning to them, however they are immensely ticked off to see a recovered Stewart announce his return with a spinout frog splash from the top rope directly into Spike. The Pocos try to repeat their earlier 3D on Stewart into one of the waiting tables, but Stewart escapes and hits Rey with a massive lariat. The pitched battle continues with all four men trading blows, and it seems that the title could go to any of them………<br> Time remaining: 3 Minutes

The screen countdown clock hits the 3 minute mark, and suddenly the crowd are on their feet, shouting the house down. In the remains of the shattered table, Ridley has sat bolt upright; he looks around, almost as if he is unsure of where he is; then he slowly rises and picks up a broken piece of the table, which has vicious – looking nails sticking out. As he climbs into the ring, Spike tries to drop - kick him back but Ridley steps aside and Spike hits the floor. The Pocos and Stewart rush Ridley together, but all their punches and kicks have little effect. TDM is the first to feel the table shard, and blood flows freely from the wound to his head; as he drops to his knees Ridley lands a vicious shining wizard and TDM is out cold. A clothesline, followed with a DDT finishes the job on Stewart. Rey still has some speed in him and goes to the ropes to try for a moonsault, but Ridley catches him in mid air and takes him for the Drop to Hell. Returning to the ring, Ridley is just in time to meet Spike; he puts him into the straitjacket and listens to his cries of pain as if he were enjoying a fine musical recital. Once Spike has blacked out, Ridley looks around and seems disappointed to discover that he has run out of opponents. Spotting the belt by one of the posts, he walks over and almost as an afterthought reaches down to pick it up……….

It would be fair to say that even the lord of hardcore is somewhat taken aback by being hit in the face with a sledgehammer. Flea, meanwhile, is more annoyed that he was not been able to aim properly due to the blood – matted hair hanging in front of his eyes. Ridley is knocked back into the centre of the ring; Flea comes in and tries to use the Sledgehammer again, but Ridley trips him and it flies out of his hands. The referee, who has been largely an irrelevance, tries to restore order but ends up receiving a massive punch from Ridley which was intended for Flea and is knocked out on the spot. Ridley hits a backbreaker on Flea, and then unleashes a vicious DDT. Ridley turns to go for the belt again, but Flea grabs his leg and pulls him down. Grabbing the table shard, Ridley repeatedly smashes the nails into Flea’s back and skull, the look on his face growing more twisted every second as annoyance evolves into full fledged anger. Once Flea lies still, Ridley hurls the plank away and stalks over to the belt; he picks it up but as he turns, the crowd’s cheers rise again and Ridley sees that Flea has somehow staggered back to his feet. Flea stares defiantly at Ridley, determined to pay him back for the injuries sustained by his tag partner on Nitro; Although Ridley is hugely popular with the crowd, Flea’s refusal to bow to the lord of hardcore inspires them and they begin to chant, “Flea, Flea, Flea……..” - this pushes Ridley over the edge and he charges forward with the belt, utter hatred burning in his eyes and soul. The two crash to the mat and the belt bounces a couple of feet away; as the clock counts the last few seconds Ridley just manages to grab it and smash it at point blank range into Flea’s face.
The clock hits zero and the bell rings.
Ginger: Here is your winner, and NEW TV Title Holder…………..Ridley!
“Gay Bar” hits, but Ridley doesn’t notice; his fury at Flea’s insolence is terrifying to behold and a number of the people in the front rows visibly shrink back as he hauls the bloody and battered Flea over to the ropes. Pulling the fallen ladder back into a standing position, he climbs to the top dragging Flea with him; Flea knows he is in trouble but his head is spinning and he is in no condition to fight back. The bell rings again, urgently this time; EMTs arrive to attend to the other competitors, and backup referees race to the ring, but they just aren’t quick enough. Ridley launches from the ladder into the Concerto of Blood and the pair plunge down on to one of the unused tables below. Both crowd and announcers are stunned into silence for a second. The support staff swiftly separate the two; a stretcher is brought out for Flea who is now lying ominously still in the wreckage. Ridley is just able to stand and the referees approach cautiously, but he allows them to lead him away; all the emotion has drained from his face, the calm after the storm. As one puts the belt into his hands, only the merest hint of a smirk indicates what is running through his warped Psyche.
End of Show.
