I may have a solution for you. First, this part I should give credit to Rey McFoley. Since the chat uses java to basically run if you have changed any internet settings that may disable Java then you should set it so that java is running. I believe in Internet Explorer if you go under Tools> Internet Options and then click the Advanced tab. Scroll down to Java and make sure the option for Java is checked. If that doesn't work and you notice that your Java is still not working maybe you need to re-install your Java Console again. Here is a second idea and it could be that maybe your firewall settings maybe keeping you from entering the chat. I noticed that this has been happening to me at my job since they have a strict firewall system. The server port for the chat is 1.8009. I think that if add this to the ports that are not blocked, which are allowed access to your computer, then that should hopefully fix everything. If neither of those work or if you in the past have had problems but you fixed it yourself please post it here so if anyone else has problems can fix it too. If nothing works please post here and we can try to fix it or do something else. If you need to download Java here is the link: www.java.com/en/download/windows_automatic.jsp

Ok I have another thing to point out for everyone. Now if for some reason you can't even access the page to where the chat is located then I have a link to an updated version of the chat. The only reason it's not being used is becuase it eats up a lot of your resources the longer you are in the chat. Anyways here is the link: client1.sigmachat.com/sc.pl?id=72909Also if you are using the newer chat and it is eating up a lot of resources then if you download the most recent version of Java then it should work better. Atleast that is what I was told lol.
