Yes, that's right, the Power 15 has been FREEMANIZED!
I guess the week being four days doesnt make much sense...but...I figure grouping it by Thursday and Mondays, and then the PPV having it's own, makes the most sense...so let's get right on started.
I made the picks based on reading the shows, and taking notes for each superstar of every thing they did after each segment in Word, and ordered them from there, so it should be pretty good. I put people from the bottom up, until I had the top 15, and ordered them from there. This should be decently accurate, but Id like some opinions.
Anyways, here we go...
THE POWER 15!!!!!!!
15. Santiago Rivera
Well, let's just say that this wasn't the most eventful week for Santiago. Now, he does however, get the honor of being the first person to EVER be on the Freemanized Power 15. Though that unfortunately does not make up for the fact that he didn't have one match on either Meltdown or Warfare. He is in fact, the only person on the list who didn't wrestle. The only thing that gives him the 15 spot, was that he did manage to pretty much own Jay Zero, as him and Ares managed to beat him down pretty effectively backstage. He also did manage to steal the International title belt, though only for about 10 seconds. He has by far the most to lose on Saturday, so hopefully ring rust doesn't get to him. If he can't prove that he can still handle things in the ring, then he may have his last match ever on the grandest stage of them all.
14. Renix Williams:
Well, Renix also did not have the most eventful week. She did however get a match against Nick Durden, though she did not want one. Kudo's devilish plan paid off, and although Renix was unconscious at the time, she DID Get the win over Durden. That was funny enough to earn her the Number 14 spot on this list. Though she won't be able to get the win by sleeping on Saturday, and she may also have to retire by the end of the night. She better focus on getting revenge on the man who apparently tried to have her killed..or...something like that.
13. Jake Cheng
Man, what happened here? After an amazing victory at Spring into Hell over his former tag team partner BK London, it seemed like Jake Cheng was on top of the world. But then, everything came to a stop. He hasn't been nearly as lucky this month. His chance to get into the main event at OE failed, and he was forced to quit to BK London. But that has nothing to do with this list, as it happened before where this list's rankings started from. In any case however, he did lose to International Champion Jason Freeman, in a champion vs champion match, and although it was a disqualification loss, he also lost to Wyldcard (or are they G-Unit again?) Either way, every time Cheng has got into a fight with Jonny it's seems that Cheng ALWAYS ends up running away. On Warfare, Spade destroyed Cheng with a steel chair. It makes you wonder, is Cheng's time as a champion at an end? Will Spade manage to defeat Cheng one on one? WATCH OMEGA EFFECT TO FIND OUT!
12. Jonny Spade
Surely if Gooey Garth was wrestling at Omega Effect I would have grouped him here with Spade, but since only Spade is, I am going to just let Spade take the spot on the list by himself. Surely not THE Most impressive week for Jonny Spade, but he did get a win over Jake and Stan, even if it was by DQ, and he also did manage to beat down the light heavyweight champion. There are no chairs at OE, and he also won't have Gooey to help him out, but...for this week, at least, he has managed to pass Cheng by one spot on the list.
11. Starkweather
WHOAMG, YOU ARE PUTTING STARKWEATHER SO LOW??!! Well, yes. Yes I am. Everyone's favorite crazy psycho doctor person did basically nothing this week, besides a few cameo appearances in the Stable-that-must-not-be-named segments. Is he planning on betraying Wyvern at OE? Possibly. Let's hope he does, because he needs to try to make an impact again. While impressive against BK London, he ultimately failed in beating him, and so he can not crack into the Top 10 of this list. Don't worry, the rest of his amazing stable of awesomeness and doom has made it in.
10. Nick Durden
Well, I felt this guy needed to be pretty high on the list. He had three matches in two shows! Unfortunately, he also had three losses on two shows, so while he probably shouldnt be on the list at all, he gets some points for effort. The guy tried hard, I'd imagine, but he was the first eliminated in the battle royal, he lost to Thunderkiss, and then of course, he lost to his girlfriend Renix, after a beatdown by Kudo on both of them. PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER DURDEN! Not even the power of Durden's five different writing styles that he randomly cycles through could help him this week, but maybe he will get lucky at Omega Effect? Kudo ain't an easy opponent to beat, and if Durden isn't careful, he may be the latest victim to the dreaded Yakuza Knee.
9. Scott Andrews
Surely Scott Andrews is a great superstar, but this week he did not get a chance to show off his talents. After eliminating Durden in the battle royal, he felt the wrath of Kudo and was eliminated. Unfortunately that was his only match this week. But it seems that for the lack of success he had in the ring, he had a lot of success out of it. He finally broke ties with Butch, his devious manager guy, and got back together with Jessie. (Sorry Nick, you and Renix ain't the best couple no more). Unfortunately it seems he's going to be blackmailed. And on Saturday, he steps into the ring with a woman who's husband was fired because of Andrews. Can Andrews prevail? And what the heck does Butch have on him and Jessie? Who knows. But in any case, Scott gets a pretty decent spot on this list.
8. Kudo
And the middle spot on this list, goes to Mr. Ko, KUDOOOO YASUDAAAAAAA. No doubt a cool name, but he still did not have the most amazing week ever. Not a bad week though. He managed to eliminate Scott Andrews in a battle royal, which is no doubt a hard thing to do. He almost was able to take the victory but did not, as he was eliminated by AK. His night was not over however, as it was revealed that he would be facing Nick Durden at Omega Effect! He was supposed to face him again, however instead, he had Renix take his place. Apparently he stabbed himself with a chopstick or something, but it was a fork that he used to get Nick. After beating down both Nick and Renix, he got to choose the match, and he chose an ironman match!
7. Jason Freeman
Jason Freeman did not have a very active week, but he certainly did have an impressive one. Say what you will, but Freeman got one of the biggest wins of his career over Jake Cheng, cleanly no less. Freeman managed to beat one champion this week, but now he has to worry about another one this Saturday, in the Entertainment Champion Jay Zero. And don't forget Santiago. Both men have expressed desire for the IN title that Freeman currently holds, and this Saturday in a jail cell match (career vs hair vs title) they have a chance to get it. Freeman may have got knocked out by Zero after his match on Thursday, but later on after Zero defended his title in a hardcore triple threat, Freeman managed to knock him out, AND cut off a piece of his hair. That right there is probably what got him the slight edge over Kudo on this list, making him a spot higher. This Saturday could be the biggest match of Freeman's career, and will it be his last as champion? Since the year started, Freeman has not gone two weeks without a title around his waist, and now that the year has reached his halfway point, can Freeman continue this streak? Hopefully, his losing streak is at least over.
6. AK
And AK takes the "Oh so close to the Top 5, but not close enough" spot. Honestly, AK had a pretty good week. A very impressive win in a battle royal over Kudo, Durden, and Andrews awarded her such a high spot on this list. However, if only she had wrestled twice maybe she could have advanced higher. That's really all she did. She gets her second shot at Andrews this Saturday, after she accepted his challenge. She's admitted to jealousy over Scott and Jessie, and who knows how angry she will get when she gets a chance to take out the murderer of her husband's career. Sure, Scott seems to be all good now and stuff, but will AK be able to see it that way in the ring? WATCH OMEGA EFFECT TO FIND OUT! (It's fun to hype Omega Effect...)
5. Thunderkiss
And here comes the Top 5 of the Power 15! The first person to ever make the Top 5 on the Freemanized Power 15 is THUNDERKISS!!!! ACW's most controversial superstar, probably, has had a decent week, though not one of his best, which is strange, because he has the biggest match of his career on Saturday, against an ACW legend. Thunderkiss DID manage to defeat Nick Durden however. And a good showing against Wyvern, the ACW world champion, makes you wonder if Thunderkiss could be just waiting for the big jump he needs to the main event? He even barged into RDK's house! (Although apparently the amazing footage we were supposed to see...never happened...but...whatever...) Sure, the camera cut off before he got to cut a killer promo, but...the camera's aren't cutting off on Saturday, and the match that many fans would consider a dream match WILL happen!
4. Jay Zero
Some people may say this guy is too high on the list, but...hey, this guy was EVERYWHERE this week! This guy was on camera more than anybody else I think, and he sure did a lot. A win in an impressive hardcore triple threat match against Vortex and Ross Lambert (even if he did get some hair cut off afterwords), certainly is impressive, and earlier in the night he managed to lay out the International Champion. He cut some amazing promos, that prove that he deserves to go to the next level, and this Saturday could be his chance. Can he win and become a double champion? Quite possibly he can. Since coming together as a stable, Entourage has done not much more than talk, but they did manage to get two of their guys in the top 5 of the power 15...so...maybe they will be going for big things this summer.
3. Senator
If you honestly needed to think about who would be getting the top 3 on this list, you're not very smart. The only thing is...what order do we put them in? All three made a huge impact this week, but out of the three, Senator did the least. A win over RDK is always impressive, however, and Senator has certainly been training very very hard for Saturday. Saturday is his last chance at the title. He has come so close to beating Wyvern before, but unfortunately, he has not gotten the job done yet. His short stint as champion earlier in this year surely must have made him hungry for more, and his chance comes on Saturday. His friendly alliance with BK is over, and now it's time to find out who the REAL champion is. Senator tore the house down with a killer promo, and if he can put his money where his mouth is, we WILL have a new champion at Omega Effect...and that is nothing...but...the truth! (Man, that's fun to say...no wonder Senator does it so much.)
2. Wyvern
Well, the ACW world champion certainly had an eventful week. He could easily have gotten number 1. A win over Thunderkiss is not an easy task, and he managed to do it. He also made a HUGE impact when he destroyed the ACW world title, and revealed a new belt! (Though personally, I wish it had looked a little more new and exciting.) Wyvern is great, but apparently he has something to worry about as apparently somebody is going to betray him at Omega Effect. Who sent him that note? Who was the person that his betrayer is apparently aligned with? Whatever is going on...Wyvern seems to think that Starkweather is planning something for Saturday. Hopefully, Wyvern will be able to concentrate on winning the match, because Senator and BK are not to be taken lightly. The Modern Day Judas may walk out of OE as the champion, but he better be ready for the fight of his life.
1. BK London
Darn that BK London...he talks about his black stereotypes, and then he goes and steals the number 1 spot on this list...>_> I was really hoping that I would get the chance to put BK pretty low, as he denied my amazing title belt, but alas, it was not to be as BK managed to have a VERY impressive week. BK manged to have a win over Starkweather; no easy task. He has constantly said that he is going to steal the show at Omega Effect. That he is going to win back "his" title. Well, maybe he is. He certainly stole the show on Thursday in a phenomenal match against the ACW world champion, and in a moment that surprised many, he was able to make Wyvern tap out to the Corporate Lock. It has to make you wonder...if BK can do that at Omega Effect, he WILL be the ACW world champion. Who knows, but it seems that BK has a very big chance. He definately has proven over the past two months that he is not someone to mess with. He beat 29 other superstars to win the Fallen Heroes Battle Royal, he beat his former tag partner Jake Cheng in a brutal I Quit match, and now he has managed to defeat the ACW World Champion. Can BK London get it done again? He's been the champion before, and Wyvern better be careful. Two very capable opponents are going to be after his belt.
So Close, Yet So Far....[/u]
Here's the people that came CLOSE to getting on the list, but not close enough.
XS3: While he did get a win against James Fenden (Who is that guy anyways...?), he didn't do all that much, and did not have that much of an impact on the shows this week. He unfortunately did not join his Entourage buddies on this list.
Danny Mainer: The guy faked his own death, and now has challenged XS3 to a street fight, but unfortunately does not make it onto this list. Squashing jobbers doesn't give you a spot, but he did come pretty close...number 15 was almost his.
So there you guys have it. The Power 15! I quite like it, and I hope you agree. I think the list is pretty good, but I really want opinions on it.
I guess the week being four days doesnt make much sense...but...I figure grouping it by Thursday and Mondays, and then the PPV having it's own, makes the most sense...so let's get right on started.
