Character History: Jeff was born into a very rich family, and is used to nothing less than the best treatments. When Jeff was 6, he attended his first wrestling show, he attended his first wrestling show, and has been transfixed on the sport ever since. That show he attended was a World Wrestling Federation show which saw Hulk Hogan defeat The Iron Shiek for the WWF Championship. Ever since he had seen that show, Jeff had wanted to follow in Hogan's footsteps, and win a World Championship. By the time Jeff graduated High-school, he was a 3-Time National Champion in Amateur Wrestlng, and began wrestling for various wrestling promotions throughout the south. In 1990, he was seen by then-NWA United States champion Lex Luger. Under Luger's recomendation, he was brought in as a jobber to wrestle in WCW, wrestling under the name "Brutus".
When WCW split from the NWA, Cassidy followed his close friend Luger into WCW, and would begin to recieve a push that saw him appear as Lex Luger's "Insurance Policy", now going by the name "Turmoil", often beating Luger's opponents to a bloody pulp. He would win the WCW Television Championship from Ricky Steamboat in a record 11 seconds, with his now-famous Torture Bomb, which would almost cripple Steamboat. He would hold the title for over 5 months before losing it to Lord Steven Regal at Starrcade 1992. Cassidy would then set his sights on the WCW World Heavyweight Title, fighting Big Van Vader in a Best-of-Seven Series which culminated at Starrcade 1993, with him winning the title from Vader in a Steel Cage match. Cassidy would only hold the title for 3 days though, losing it back to Vader at a New-Japan Pro Wrestling Show. After losing the title, Cassidy would toil in the WCW midcard ranks until mid 1996 when the New World Order was formed.
When the nWo was formed, it destroyed almost everyone in its path, from Randy Savage to the Four Horseman, no one could stop them. One of the final members of WCW they didn't beat was Jeff Cassidy, who would put up the most resistance of any of the WCW wrestlers facing off agasint the nWo. Casidy would even manage to win the US title from Scott Hall at Superbrawl, but would lose it back the next night on Monday Nitro. Eventually Cassidy would finally give up, and would be taken off WCW TV indefinently. He would still appear at house shows, wrestling under the old "Brutus" gimmick, usually jobbing to one member of the nWo. When Eric Bischoff was ousted from WCW in mid-1999, Cassidy would return to TV and become a major title contender, making his way to the semi-finals of the 32-man tournament to crown a new WCW champion. He would eventually win the title at Souled Out in Janurary, beating Chris Benoit in what would be Benoits final match in WCW. He would then fued with Sid Vicious and Kevin Nash over the title until April, losing it to Diamond Dallas Page on Nitro. Cassidy would then proceed to be Jeff Jarrett's enforcer and Bodygaurd, and continue this gimmick until WCW closed in March of 2001.
When TNA opened in 2002, Cassidy was one of the first wrestlers to sign with the new company, mainly due to his newly formed friendship with Jeff Jarrett. He would win the NWA World Title in November of 2002, and immediately surrender it to Jeff Jarrett, becoming Jarrett's enforcer once again. He would hold this role until 2004 when Jarrett former the Kings of Wrestling. Cassidy was relegated to the background and would help Randy Savage in his battle against the KoW, often wrestling Kevin Nash. When KoW disbanded, him and Nash continued to fued, arguing that each one was the company's true "Big Man". Cassidy would lose a series of matches to Nash, who would eventually disappear from TNA TV.
Cassidy would wander around the independents for most of 2005 and 2006, finally seeing an opportunity to reestablish himself as one of the dominant wrestlers of this industry in ACW.
