You want to compare The Miz's reign to JBL's but here's the one thing that JBL had that Miz doesn't, a stable. How many times did The Cabinet interfere to help JBL? Almost every match, I think the only one was No Way Out where Show chokeslammed him through the ring. That got him heat moreso than the Miz is getting because it's a different person every time look at his title defenses.
vs Lawler in December: Cole stops Lawler from winning the title, Miz wins.
vs Orton at TLC: A-Ri goes through the table, Miz switches Orton with A-Ri and shows ref, Miz Wins (IMO, best dirty win he has)
vs Morrison on RAW: Morrison puts himself through table, Miz pins him for the win.
vs Orton at RR: Punk GTS's Orton, Miz wins.
vs Lawler at EC: clean win.
vs Cena: Double Count out turned into restart, Rock hits Cena with a Rock Bottom, Miz wins.
IMO, the fact that you keep having him retain the same dirty way, like if A-Ri helped him, it would get A-Ri heat and Miz heat, but it's someone else almost every time.
25 Dark Match vs 27 Dark match: I can't remember for sure, but I'm pretty sure they brought the fact the match happened on the pre-show and I think they even showed it on the pre-show. They didn't mention it on the show that Daniel vs Sheamus was bumped AND was turned into a battle royal that was non title that was won randomly by Khali. The other difference is that while it didn't have as much build up, it was needed on this card WAAAY more than the other was. It didn't have as much build up because it didn't need it as much.
The squashes are on two different levels: The IC title one, JBL only had the title because WWE wanted to give him the grand slam and JBL was retiring any ways. It was a squash of a wrestler who it wouldn't hurt. The squash of the Corre was BAD for the Corre, because every time theyre on screen, they are built up as a TEAM of INDIVUAL SUPERSTARS. THEY HAVE THE FUCKING TAG TEAM TITLES! They should beat a team of 2 giants, Kofi, and Santino. Up til WM, Santino was a joke. How Corre lost is what hurt them, not that they lose. The Corre then got squashed again the next night.
I don't know how you can say that Orton got squashed. The whole match made both look bad. It killed both their momentum. Orton got his back when he took the title at Backlash and took at Triple H. H got his back when he came back a few months later.
Also, continue not to address the fact that Cole/Lawler was booked terribly and hurts your case because it was one of the biggest matches (Kayfabe) of the night.
