do you miss ACW?
Lately as a nostalgia boost I've been watching WWF promos and highlights from 1999, I'm up to 2002 now. (lol WCW and ECW, joke companies). Okay, my ideas haven't all been original but in a way I really really miss at least being able to portray my ideas, even if I eventually ran out of desire and called it quits on an angle.
How about you lot? I know you're there >_>

Of course I do >.> I felt so free from it, then it closed. It just feels off not having anywhere to come and do this stuff. I've been getting back into a clean job hunt and youtube stuff though. It keeps me occupied..you know..failing at that and such. <.<

Definitely. I know I haven't been an active contributor in awhile, but it just strikes me as weird that it's gone...

Yeah. It's strange...though mostly I miss like pre-09 ACW. But still. The competition, etc. I really do miss it and the Royal Rumble coming up made me miss Fallen Heroes At least now I have the mod boards to look through <_<. It's so strange reading the SECRET DISCUSSIONS underlying all that happened for the past four years Ive been here.

I do not miss it.
I did enjoy the last show and getting one last hit of the "ACW drug" before the needle ran out.
However, immediately afterward I was reminded on why I parted ways with this fed/game. People that I'd rather piss on than look at filling the roster, bullshit arguments from people after the show was posted, no mod doing the right thing in that situation, false promises of show feedback, etc. etc. Why type something up if nobody is going to read it? It's a complete and utter waste of time. It was like a cold, harsh reminder to me on why I have no motivation to do something like this again. Also a big contributor is that I no longer watch wrestling in any shape or form. No more TNA arguments, WWE arguments, I'm done with that crap. While some may take glee in this, it is another fan lost which is nothing to cheer about. Looking at the ratings it appears that everyone is changing the channel.
While I am certain someone will undoubtedly retort my criticisms, I stand by posting what I truly feel. I also would like to say that the good times I had here are memories I will not forget and I have sincere wishes for those whom I called friend here, especially those in the Entourage.

Why type something up if nobody is going to read it?
This is the one thing I disagree with, because to me I enjoy writing. I have pages and pages of miscellaneous items I've written on Microsoft Word that will never see the light of day, but I enjoy doing it anyways. I suppose some folk are different, but I didn't mind if I wrote a segment and it didn't get any feedback.

I do agree with Kiss. I've always been someone who strives to have his work noticed. When you do something long enough and no one seems to give a damn it does a lot to your psyche. It's probably the main reason that ACW constantly burned me out. There are a LOT of people who haven't shown they gave a damn about anyone but themselves over the years, one can't deny that. With that said I do know I haven't written a review of the final show, as no one has. I have intended too, but it's hard to find the time to put words together at this point. My life is still not where I want it to be, and I try and do productive things with my time to get it there. Yeah, I miss it. I miss ACW existing. It was reassuring to know that ACW was still running. I still don't believe I'd be active today, just as I wasn't through 2009. I only returned in 2010 because doing one final story with Kiss seemed worth it. Because there are certain people that make it fun, even when you know no one is reading. I adore feedback. It's what keeps me going. My project on Youtube hasn't gotten an immense amount of support, or feedback in itself..but the amount it gets hangs a shadow over what ACW provides. I'm going to keep doing it for as long as I can, and I hope to make something of it. It's where I'm funneling my creativity because it's much harder to ignore audio and visuals then it is to ignore text. www.youtube.com/SadAwesomeIt's not the most hysterical clusterfuck of greatness, but it has all the potential in the world with the right belief. Simply put, when it comes to ACW all of my moments seemed to be ruined for one reason or another. Every moment I worked for seemed to be overshadowed or outright ignored by the majority. It's a harsh environment for some, and it's an environment that wears on you. PS - To those this applies too I am still in a location where my Live doesn't work. I am moving at the first possible opportunity, whether through work or mental anguish. Just saying.

Im assuming Im one of the people TK hates cnnsidering he was hating on me in the final show chat for no reason, saying what a travesty it would be if I was the final champ despite the fact that he hadnt had anything to do with ACW in months...but anyways <_<
As for people not reading stuff, I can say that I have read every single ACW show since Ive joined. If I missed any I dont remember it, so if you wrote anything in the past four years, rest assured at least somebody read it. And The senator too for sure <_<

XS3/Hitman/Mark here. Still lurking, but didn't bother making an account.
Anyway, I think ACW did the right thing by shutting down. I was tired of seeing the fed I loved and used to call home being beaten like a dead horse, just so it could muster up three segments a show. As someone who had joined when ACW was really picking up, it was incredibly disheartening to watch. Should I have put in more effort to help out? Maybe. But by the time I came back in October 2009 and then again in February 2010, I was disillusioned with fedding as a whole and only showed up because I wanted something to do in my spare time when I didn't have college. But now that it's gone, I guess it doesn't matter anymore.
Yes I still love the people here, and I still read the old shows every now and then. But I'm also glad that ACW was finally laid to rest. We all grow apart, and sometimes you just have to roll with the change.

I came here randomnly out of curiosity and all I have to say in response to what was said here is that it's time to move on. What we all did here in ACW was great and we met some great people. Keep those experiences and those friendships but for now... let ACW fade into memories and start creating new ones.
