It seems that Jack Jefferson has become the first victim of new ACW Chairman Samuel H. Hawthorne’s promised disciplinary action. Hawthorne has suspended Jefferson, without pay, for next week’s edition of Warfare and released the following statement:
“It seems that Mr. Jefferson didn’t take me seriously when I warned all of ACW that I wouldn’t tolerate violence against myself, or any of my staff. Therefore I am suspending Mr. Jefferson from the January 20th edition of Wednesday Night Warfare, without pay. Directly following the assault Mr. Jefferson was ejected from the premises and refused access for the rest of the show, next week he will, once again, denied access. His actions were completely and utterly unacceptable, I wish for my employees to feel safe in the workplace without having to look over their shoulder in case some maniac decides he’s got something against them.”
This suspension, and swift action from ACW’s Chairman, comes as a result of Jack Jefferson assaulting a sound technician who played the wrong entrance music. When asked if this also meant that Jefferson will be exempt from ever receiving a shot at the ACW World Heavyweight Title, in accordance with BK’s warning last week, Hawthorne told us the following:
“Mr. Jefferson is a lucky man who I will not be banning from ever competing for ACW’s World Heavyweight Title. The warning our stand-in Chairman, BK London, served Mr. Jefferson with last week was, unfortunately, in regards to assaulting ACW Officials which doesn’t extend to backstage staff members. For now Mr. Jefferson will receive only his one week suspension but should a similar situation arise again in the future then I will be forced to meet out more significant punishments.”
