Something I have noticed is that ACW is slowly beginning to shut itself off from the e-fedding world, as it were. Now that is all fine and that, but I believe that the more it happens, the more this fed is going to get seriously out of the loop. I feel that if we became more friendly with other feds, we wouldn't have the issues that have struck us in the past, such as former GWF and SLA members joining us, only for the vast majority to leave within a short space of time (seriously, we failed to even keep one of those who came from SLA, I believe).
I know that people are sceptical about affiliating ourselves with other people, and the HWL fiasco comes to mind here. But seriously, that was an event that occured over four years ago now, so I don't think it'd hurt if we attempted to make links with other feds. It's not as though we even have to make tournaments or anything, just become friendly with other feds.
I mean if you look on the Gamefaqs e-fed board, there are a lot of feds that are linked with each other. I know from other sources that a lot of them shun this place purely because they are unenlightened to how we work (thinking we're an angle fed, when we're really an RP fed that emphasises on co-operation in storylines). It would be cool to be able to link with feds, maybe not even the ones I'm on about, because we'd, amongst other things, be able to quash the rumour surrounding how we function.
But really, it wouldn't hurt to try it, and be able to become friendly with another fed.

Well... There is ONE place I know of which I have former ties to: Real International Wrestling. Don't know if a friendly ambassadorship would be accepted people would remember me but it's worth a try. www.wrestlinggameszone.com/forum/index.php

IMO angle feds are the only ones I bother with, and this is an angle fed if manipulated correctly.
I think one of the problems with ACW is the way that newer guys are treated. Granted, it may not be all out but there definitely is the occasional passive agressive "new guy" comment, and there is a bit of a clique atmosphere. It's hard for someone new to break the force field unless they know someone in the fed who has a decent place on the card. Not for pushes, but as a means to get a good angle with someone.
About affiliating with other feds, I spoke to Senator and said that if the EPW fed that I'm in now fails, we would bring the show to ACW as a Fallout type show. Not an NPC show, but a show for the lower card guys who are active and looking to break in to the main shows well enough. Like an initiation show. It would slowly but surely help them to understand the ACW system before going full blown in to an angle with someone. We'd hold their hand throughout the show and show them how it works.

I agree with your first point entirely, Rep. I have heard from a former ACW alumni that he didn't like the fact that ACW was basically a "good ol' boys" club, and I think it's beginning to show. Now I don't want to start going on about how ACW might die or whatever because I do it every year, but one thing we could and should do, is go about treating newcomers better. It worked a treat when Sarin ran the Welcoming Committee, but that died when she left in late 2006.

Well the new Fallout could potentially be the new welcoming committee... if it happens.
