Danny: The fans are what keep us going... I love them like they're my babies, even if they're deformed and have STI's.
James: You scare me sometimes, you know that?

BIO:
April 3rd was the start of something special, following the drastic rise in new-comers, Danny Mainer siphoned out the best and he saw that Jake Steele was an explosion waiting to happen. Jake was the first to make an offer, but Danny played hard to get and so Jake Steele went into The Fallen Heroes Battle Royal expecting a win, however he was eliminated. Danny however, thoroughly impressed with Jake’s performance opted to take him under his wing despite their past history. Danny and Jake then induced Chris Williams, who later left due to personal life issues. Jake then left to form his own stable leaving Danny and his inductee, James Murphy who make up the current union. The two both work on their own project but are a team to reckon with.

Members of The Maine Event: (In Order of Entry)
King of the Hill – ‘Six-String Shogun’ Danny Mainer
![](http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p80/ForeverPhoenixGFX/Alex%20Shelley/n30106980_31674305_3456.jpg)
Bio: A founding member of The Maine Event, Danny has had one of the most decorated 2 year career spans having taken all-comers in GWF and now ACW, winning The International Title twice in 3 months, his high-flying abilities are unprecedented and his kickboxing background which stems from his pre-teen years combined with a breath-taking knowledge of the ring, taking opponents to the limits and a mat-style that would give Steve Phillips a run for his money, the Six-String Shogun is the total package and with the recent unveiling of his guitar he is clearly not a man to be taken lightly.
Ace of Clubs – 'God of the Gunner-Drop' James Murphy
![](http://i36.tinypic.com/2cwoetk.jpg)
Bio: Joining in the month leading up to Omega Effect IV, James Murphy has certainly proved he can hold his own weight picking up an impressive victory against Ross Lambert at his Omega Effect and ACW pay-per-view debut, although he has not been with Alpha Championship Wrestling long he is no stranger to the ring, being the only repeat GWF Undisputed Champion as well as being a former tag team champion, having made his mark visible from space in GWF, he know looks to move onto greener pastures. With all of the skeletons from his GWF days dead and buried (which came to beating Ross Lambert in New York City) he now looks to make a move on the rest of the company. Where this talented member of the roster can go though is anyone’s guess.
Former Members of The Maine Event: (In Order of Exit)
The Serious MIA - Chris Williams
![](http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z116/memoirsofamark/OVW/Alumni/Kenny%20Dykstra/kenny01.jpg)
Bio: Chris Williams was one of those newcomers that didn’t last long enough to know if he’d be missed or not. Perhaps awaiting one of the biggest career time-bombs, his fuse was cut short by an early retirement from the wrestling industry. Now, Chris is gone and he didn’t do anything really worthwhile, but he was in The Maine Event.
Second In Command, Second to Leave - Jake Steele
![](http://www.villagevoice.com/blogs/statusainthood/lupe_cover.jpg)
Bio: This cocky newcomer who came from a rich, upper-class background is undeniably one of the most talented kids to enter ACW and when Danny Mainer saw his progress in The Fallen Heroes Battle Royal, he snapped him up into The Maine Event. Jake however got too big for his boots and felt that he shouldn’t be playing Silver Medal to no man, so breaking off he led his own stable, The Impact Players with The Reprobate, The Sinister Minister as well as Johnny Blaze and Pride. However, Reprobate left soon after joining and Jake formed Divine Heresy with Silencio and Chris Chase instead.
