Page 1- Good opening segment here from Steele and Senator. Steele accusing Senator of being racists to raise his ire may be a tad predictable but Steele managed to do it in an entertaining way by telling him “no firehoses”. I look forward to seeing how these two build this feud from this point on, I expect TK to interfere somehow though.
- I had my money on Senator doing the 24 thing but it’s going to be very interesting to see where Dave goes with this one. Him calling out Train later on should be an intriguing conflict, especially considering how scared Dave’s been of the man who wants to eat all of ACW.
- Short but sweet and both Bryce and Andrew Black saying “Can’t believe someone fucked you” made me chuckle. Can you imagine Rena as a mother though? That’s a terrifying prospect!
- Good little segment from Michael Smart here, short but sweet. I’ve been told only good things about Smart so I look forward to reading more of his stuff.
- Rena knows Oprah?! Very odd. Bet I know who suggested the match though
- Seems like Bryce is a morning person. Harsh words from Bryce regarding Rena though, and a little early morning racism thrown in for good measure. Decent little segment though.
- So, Dave Shadow’s in The Crucible, huh? Very interesting! Decent segment here, although I found the “I didn’t do it” interaction between Mainer and Gingerdude to be oh-so-generic it almost ruined it for me. Good refresher on the participants though.
- Great stuff from TK here, I could really feel the despair of his character. He also echoed a sentiment which seems to be prevalent within a lot of the aging members of the wrestling community, “Oh? I dedicated my entire life to being a wrestler and if I can no longer do it, what does that mean? It means I have no life. It’s over. Done. Finito.” Whether it was fully intentional or not I don’t know, but it struck a chord with me.
- I really enjoyed this segment. Now I can see why there’s so much OOC hype following you into ACW. The Daniel Smart character seems the perfect comedy foil for the super-serious Michael. Daniel stating that Michael should change his name had me literally lolling.
- Seems like Chris has decided that this Entertainment Challenge wasn’t such a great idea. The lack of Kutcher association pleases me to be honest and I feel a little sorry for Chris. The idea itself wasn’t a bad one but it just went in completely the wrong direction.
- Wow, Bryce is angry! I guess he doesn’t like being called gay...still in the closet methinks!
- XS3 coming back to ACW? I like the character of XS3 but I hope he doesn’t have a prolonged stay. There is far too much crossover in Mark’s characters for my liking, but maybe that’s just me? I prefer Hitman anyway
- Wow, Phenomenal is determined to ally himself with anyone who is opposing Jake Steele isn’t he? My guess is that it’s to get revenge for what Steele did to Chris’ buddy, Macho, but I can’t see it ending well for him. As for Senator? I think he’s so confident of his ability that he would indeed give Chris a title shot should he help him win. I await the rest of this saga with interest.
Page 2- Freeman’s been on fire as of late and this segment was no exception. He just oozes arrogance and he really doesn’t care what anyone thinks of him. The special referee will be an interesting addition to the match. Wonder what AK’s gonna do now she’s got her hands on him though? Something tells me it won’t be pleasant.
- Good god Lee loves his flashback segments. The banter between Mike, Tommy, Roy and Benny was quite realistic in this one but apparently Benny doesn’t appreciate the humour. Something tells me his hatred of Lee is going to be an issue. Not sure if I see the point though. Sure, flashback segments can be cool and they’re something of a staple here in ACW but not if you
only do flashback segments.
- Well this segment was just fucking bizarre. That’s all I have to say.
- I really enjoyed this segment from Mainer and feel his family issues are going to be extremely interesting. The dialogue between Mainer and his sister seemed really genuine and it felt like they were, indeed, family. I was little confused by the description of his sister though, at first I thought Mainer was interested. Had to re-read that bit.
-
WTF?! He cut off his own finger!! This is total madness! Got to admit though, cauterizing the wound was a nice touch.
- Putting a bounty on the heads of G-Unit?! That rotter! This doesn’t bode well for Jonny and Gooey though.
- Hmmm something tells me Dave might’ve made a mistake by slapping Train. Nice to see that he’s not acting afraid though...channel the confidence Dave!
- I really enjoyed this segment from Rep, even though I don’t really know much about Stern and probably missed all those references. It did, however, provide a good insight to Rep and Christina. The bit where they mentioned that Rep answered 500 questions right on various topics was a bit OTT though.
- Uh-oh! There’s trouble in paradise. Seriously though, this tension between Train and Steele has been building for a while and it could be nice to see what Train’ll do if he branches out on his own.
- So Dan’s gonna face Hitman at Omega Effect?! I’m intrigued. Also, Dan fighting for an ACW contrast is a stipulation that will help build interest in a match that has had little time to be hyped up.
- And now Hitman has HIS motivation. This match could, and I fully expect it to, be immense!
- Nice stuff from Bryce here and I’m glad there were repercussions for his disgraceful actions on the Oprah Show! Also...Jefferson being used as a punishment ftw! ;D
- So it’s official, XS3 is in TKs’s corner! If this is a temporary thing then I guess it’s kinda cool. If he’s going to stick around I gotta question the logic behind retiring him in the first place. We’ll just have to wait and see.
- Quality stuff here Lee the whole segment was extremely well written and I could feel the group’s terror for Tommy, especially when Roy was shouting for Benny to help him. I’m a little dubious about Lee shooting the guy with a BB gun though...must be a fucking powerful BB gun.
Page 3- Charlie Masterson is one sick individual! I don’t quite understand how Danny reaction so calmly to finding out the news that Charlie fucked his mum. I’d have thought he’d smack him in the face. Good segment though and builds up some definite tension leading into Danny attempting to reunite with his father.
- So good it got featured twice! Nice segment from Andrew Black here. I’ve been really enjoying the segments in his D-Town saga and this was another one. The format was very interesting and I think it worked well. The only thing that threw me was starting September 12th with “Max stops the fighting and tells Andrew he has to leave and never come back.”
- Good stuff, as always, from Senator. The little interruptions from Kalb and Fitsharris whilst he and Dwight talked was a nice touch. It’ll be interesting to see what this Nobunaga brings to the table.
- Classic heel work here from Dave. The era of Zero Tolerance was a nice touch. Whether it comes to fruition or not...I don’t know.
- Great segment here from AK and Freeman. This really builds up a lot of suspense in regards to what Freeman’s fate will be.
- Slightly confusing segment from Lee but maybe that’s because I’ve missed some of his instalments and don’t know who Sammy or Fat Petey are.
- Nice stuff, you could really feel Vortex’s frustration at not being able to get a hold of Rep, who has got this cowardly heel act down to a tee.
- I didn’t know Train and Mainer were such good chums. Ah well, guess they’re not anymore. Train’s outrage at Mainer using the N-Word was hilarious and Mainer’s excuse was golden.
- These two are working this face-on-face feud very well. They’re both respectful but neither man is willing to go easy on the other, especially considering they’ve got hefty motivation to spur them on.
Page 4- Any momentum or hype this Entertainment Cup ever had is completely gone.
- So Mainer’s into weird kinky shit, can’t say I’m too shocked to be honest. What I am shocked about, however, is that someone can be bored whilst watching How I Met Your Mother. I think Mainer should be -10’d for that fact alone
- Well that was fucking brutal! The segment was, however, totally brilliant. From Freeman and his itchy nose breaking the tension to AK’s speech about taking the virtuous road and all the way back again.
- Nice little confrontation between Phenomenal and Steele here. The retort about the Entertainment Cup was a stiff shot for sure!
- Well it seems brutality is the order of the show! Trust me to go all brutal at the same time as both AK and Jake Steele...fucking hell! Er...I mean, great stuff from Jake. This segment cements his heel status firmly in my mind, he’s definitely crossed a line and somehow I don’t think Thunderkiss is going to take this lying down. It’ll be interesting to see what the repercussions are for Shadow and Ginger too. This is going to be very interesting!
MVP of the Show!AK and Jason Freeman. Their joint work today was outstanding and the Purgatory segments were absolutely brilliant. Freeman may be lazy at times but he’s a fantastic writer when he wants to be. As for AK? Well AK’s always been brilliant.
