I am disapointed with the booking committee on this card. You mean the Arranging Committee?

No. We're the Booking Committee.

No, you're an arranging committee. You take requests for matches for the most part. A booker creates the feuds, the matches, the promos, and everything on the show with input from wrestlers. A booker doesn't allow wrestlers to do everything. You guys aren't booking, you're arranging, to be honest. As I posted in the other topic, read this article if you don't know what a booker is... www.jimcornette.com/Commentary_04-24-2009.html

I pretty much agree with Spade. There are way too many gimmick matches on here.
You have two low card guys in a cage match, further watering down the cage match concept. You have an eight man tag team match, and in a world where six-man tags are overkill, this takes the cake. You have Thunderkiss wrestling a woman in Prison Break match, which I'm not sure of the stipulations. You have Dan White and Dave Shadow in another unknown to me match, I'm assuming steel chairs are the only allowed weapons in this, and if that is so then this is a passable stipulation for an upper midcard match. Then you have Jake Steele vs Mach in a World Title match on TV, with a stipulation that has been done to death and pretty much not toppable.
The segments will probably be the shining light of the show this week...

-The cage match was a request
-This place has had an abundance of successful female wrestlers. Indeed, we've had four women who have held the World Championship. I too aren't familiar on a Prison Break match, but isn't half the fun waiting to see what the stipulations are?
-The Steel Chair Symphony match is an ACW-exclusive classic. If you want to know more about it, please use the List of Matches Guide I arranged, situated in the ACW Facts board.
-The TLC match is a wrap up for a feud. They already had a Last Man Standing match, it would be a downfall to go from that to a Singles match or whatevers. Personally I would have preferred an I-Quit match but again, that was a requested match.
I don't mean to incite an argument, but I felt as head of the Booking Committee I had to explain. Yes, there's a lot of gimmick matches, but we've always seen the Anniversary Show as a big show. Essentially it's almost like a PPV, at least I feel like that whenever we've had one. So I don't think there's a big problem in having gimmick matches.
As far as Jonny is concerned, I think he's more disappointed that he's not on the card, which is fair enough. Truth be told, this card was so full of requests that we had to overlook some people.

I too aren't familiar on a Prison Break match, but isn't half the fun waiting to see what the stipulations are? Good of a time as any to explain. I know we have a lot of promoers and not a lot of readers so let me explain a bit (I'm not trying to insult, I know you guys skim and you'll admit this.) The last time we saw Sarin, she turned herself in for killing her father out of spite/revenge for what he did to her mother. It was so traumatic that she did not remember the experience until it was brought out of her subconscious. This took place last year at this time but nobody read it, they just focused on "WHOAMG, SHE AND FSX NEED MOAR INTERACTION!" That may be true, but in the whole meantime a very good story was ignored. Sarin currently resides in a prison in Ireland where the crime was committed. Out of coincidence, this also is the same prison where a one Mr. Zane (Fakden, Irish native) now resides for stalking and extortion charges. This information was given to Thunderkiss recently by Phillips, who gave him the info to spurn Zane (who failed his vision and went rouge) and to get TK off his back for a bit. Thunderkiss wants to pay his old copycat a visit to get information on Phillips' go between, Richard Paris who's identify is not known to TK at this time. So put two and two together. TK drops by and visits Zane, but is going to run into a few familiar faces. In short, I am merging my current storyline with elements of Sarin's exit. The match itself will be no referee and will take place on the Alpha Tron pretaped. P.S.: I am also writing the match.

Truth be told, this card was so full of requests that we had to overlook some people. So you're proving my point, dude. If you were on a booking committee, you would be able to deny these requests. You simply take what people send in and arrange them, nothing wrong with that, but the term booker is being used incorrectly and it confused me when I signed up, and it will probably confuse others. If you DO have the power to deny certain aspects of a match, you should have put it in to power. I would hope that the writers of these matches would use stipulations in moderation, because that many stipulations on one card is completely overkill. Thanks for explaining that, TK, though I have never been a fan of "empty arena" or "boiler room" type matches. Sucks all of the energy out of it if nobody is watching it live.

We've rejected a lot of requests in the past. I just felt that this card deserved to have the matches people wanted on it.
