Judging from what I remember, around FH last year only 16 people on that list were active, or consistently active, with maybe a few more or few less.
This year it's 16 active, or consistently active, with about three or four more who promo here or there, maybe a bit less than 16.
Yep, we're dead. >.>

Here. Sorry for being a dick if I come off that way, but once again I see nothing but talk and no action. So leave it to me to actually get on google and research and there are some fed hubs open. This took me a whopping 5 minutes. From the conception of eWrestling as a general online community, there have been many communities which have become the cornerstones of the hobby.
Prime Time Central originated as a network. The community closed in 2008, deciding to leave only their message boards open. Due to overwhelming activity on the message boards, however, the community still exists today as a forum-only website.
RoughKut Wrestling has become one of the most notorious communities online. Originating as a resource website in 1999, the resources quickly became amongst the most used within the hobby. The website has since developed, operating its' own promotion, annual tournament and hall of fame to great acclaim.
FWrestling is widely known within the community as the greatest hosting website for promotions. With hosting purely for eFeds, the website gained acclaim due to the simple management structure and lack of advertisements on hosted pages.
The E-Wrestling Magazine has been booming since 2007 with no signs of slowing down. They offer daily updates, columns, tutorials and pride themselves with the tagline "Bringing E-Wrestling Together" by being unbias and touching on any promotion that wants the free advertisement.
The E-Fed Knights is a community based around an interactive E-Wrestling podcast. It gained notoriety in 2008 and has continued to be one of the fastest growing E-Wrestling communites on the internet. This is my favorite thus far: www.ewzine.com/site/They have an advertising plan. I will purchase the said advertising plan. Here is what I cannot do. I cannot make a nice banner nor can I host it. SOMEBODY else do that. They also have message boards. I have not dug in deep to see if you can link your fed on those boards like you could Roughkut. You may. I'll look later but it is my hope that someone will beat me to it.

Pfft, I still don't understand how the system works. I just write stuff and send it in, and sometimes I win matches. >_>
I would say Rena has a good point though. In my time efedding, I've noticed now and September are somewhat of bad times, as everyone either has exams or some form of commitments which increases presure to the extent efeds suffer. Hopefully over the next few weeks, as schools and such close for summer, you'll see an increase in numbers, and then it's up to us to make sure everyone has such a fun time that they'll stay in the long run.
I will say this though. This place is daunting as hell. Not nessecarily because of the people or the atmosphere, but because the system is different. Or at least, it seems different. I know this will sound funny, but I think the ads shouldn't complicate things. It needs to break it down to say "It is an RP fed, but you write promos, instead of an RP board, you submit them and we post them on the shows." It's a seemingly complicated but actually quite brilliant system, and we need to introduce it as such.
Anyway, I'll just throw an idea out here and see what people think. It's kind of an extension of Lee's idea, though I'm not sure what people will think. I'm not even sure if it would work in the long run, and I have a feeling that ACWers want to stay as far away from real wrestlers as possible.
But what if there was a third show which focused around real wrestlers? This could serve to act along the same lines as Fallout whereby it's not a mandatory part of the fed, but just something people can do in their spare time. Furthermore, it can be used as another advertising feature, and new rookies who want to fed as real wrestlers have that show, and hopefully as they improve, they'll switch to their own unique ones and join the main roster? The main roster could also have characters on the show as well, much like people used to "adopt" NPCs on Fallout?

Ill try to make a banner, if you want TK. Sounds good to me. I will be in touch with you when I get all the dimensions and all that. I guess I will also look into posting a board advertisement since nobody stepped up.

Also, ACW is not that much different as a traditional e-fed
In a traditional e-fed one guy (or a handful) use their opinions to pick winners. We do the same. We look at quality and quantity, just like EVERYONE else. However, there are some other factors the go into it besides just these two such as rank. A newer guy stays in his division and has to work his way up the "ladder." As a fed president for almost 10 years, I like this much, much better and I'll tell you why.
- It more of a true federation simulator. New guys dont break into the WWE and win the world title, why should they in e-fedding?
- It gives more of a sense of accomplishment as you rise through the ranks.
- As a former fed owner, I got sick of "hot shots" coming into fed, wowing everyone with their performance and winning the world title in under half a year, only to go onto the next fed to do the same.
Also, yes, the roleplaying board is different. Namely, we don't have one for one-on-one roleplaying. If you want to do traditional style promoing, there is nothing saying you cant. You just get them posted on a show. Yes, it deters from one-on-one promoing but in the grand scheme of things does it really matter that much? In the WWE, TNA or any fed for that matter, do you see two guys in a promo room jawing at each other back and forth, taking turns? No. You do see that in the ring, and we certainly have that.
It's called joint roleplaying which is far more entertaining to read than. You talk. Okay, now it's my turn! Repeat X RP limit.

So I know we are having some serious discussion, but mod opinions? Should I go ahead and talk to people about getting them feuds and stuff? And by that I mean, Ive already started, so do I have permission to keep going? >_>

Your free to do whatever you want Jake. Me and BK had started something like this previously as a creative team but none of the people ever came up to me and asked for my help with this.
