Just a warning, this is a long one but it all boils down to the true birth of my character, Victor Laureano. My family finally left and I was all set to return. I knew I wanted to do something different with my Latino. At the time, I hadn't developed him as a character. There wasn't really anything there to make you really push for him. No one knew of his life, real characteristics, or really anything. I think that was a blessing and a curse. It I guess added some mystery to the character but to me I felt like all I could do for him was make him drunk, stumble, yell out "Viva La Raza" and call AK "Mami". Sure that's good now but if i ever really wanted to make my character better I felt like I needed to expand the character, taking him into a new direction.
This return provided just that. I decided to return as a heel that would leave Atomic Kitsune and for the first time in ACW be on his own. This was my first time being a heel so if anyone is interested check out this link here. It's Latino's official return in ACW, new music, new attitude, everything. alphacw.proboards34.com/index.cgi?board=Mondaymassacre&action=display&thread=7210
So, I returned to ACW and try my best to be a heel. I turn on AK and tell her I don't want to be with her. I beat Gary, ACW's equilivant of Eugene, with a leather strap, and basically turn on my fans. I then write up a segment where Latino is getting interviewed and it's where I finally reveal that Latino's real name is Victor Laureano. Why did I pick this name? Well I didn't want just a regular hispanic name like Jose Sanchez. I wanted somethind different that could also stand out. So I researched different names and settled on this. I think it works well and adds some value to the Latino character. Anyways, during this return I felt like it was my time. I think that I was for the first time started to get full of myself. I talked to Bladeshadow whom was the current ACW Champion at the moment and asked him if i could be a part of his World Title feud. He agreed and EOTR 04 now had a triple threat match as it's main event.
I thought this was good. It was finally my time to become World Champion. I just returned, I'd worked hard here at ACW and defenitely put in my time at GFWWE. It was time for this jobber to turn into a champion. So I was pushing hard and I was actually expecting everyone to rally behind me wanting me to win too. Now, if many of you didn't know at this time I was doing the calcs for every show in ACW. At the time this included only Warfare, Meltdown and PPVs. Fallout I don't believe was a show yet and even if it was it wasn't the wrestling show that it is today. It was more of RIdley's side project for his own fun. This always caused me to know early on who won and most of time it didn't matter but with this match that was important to me it was struggle. Don't worry I never would force a match to go in my favor. We all know how the match went down. Skurai won the calcs and more importantly people were predicting him to win not me.
Honestly, I was shocked. I have always been used to being a fan favorite and thought everyone would say Latino was going to win. I think barely anyone did that and I wasn't sure why this happened. But I decided if I wasn't going to win the title I would take the fall. It made the most sense since I was sort of the odd man out. So the match ended with SKurai pinning me and Latino looking around the ring realizing he was alone. I had AK put this in as a seed to start bubbling for Latino's face turn that I knew would eventually come up. This experience though was a learning experience and who better to put it all in front for me than BK London. I remember talking to him about Skurai's win and telling him how surprised I was that not many people predicted me to win. I put it simply that I had just returned and Skurai had been working hard longer than me to reach this status. Everyone wanted to see him do it. I realized BK was right and I decided I didn't need the World Title right now. I just needed to focus on my character and if I can make other people look good. So yea... blame BK for Latino jobbing to other people to make them look better and help their ACW career.
Now, we move on to my first feud with BK London. BK went into this feud and it's contoversy into more detail. I won't re-iterate what he's already said. I'll just give you my perspective into the feud. I had a lot of fun working with BK and we did a lot of stuff that was just plain different I'd say. I think because BK and I were so good friends that it helped us gel really well in a feud. We didnt steal the show but we had a great feuding ending match. This ppv also saw Latino sort of breakdown and while not really full turning face he was well on his path. This though lead on for a really rocky time in Latino's life. He finally returned back to being a face after expressing his love for Atomic. He proposed but she turned him down and rightfully so. Latino broke her heart. What woman wold want to just up and marry the guy that did that. Though this brought on a new storyline for Latino that would shake up his relationship forever.....
..... and we're gonna talk about it all now. To sum up this storyline, it was about Latino cheating on Atomic with an old girlfriend. I look back at these segments and realized how true they come off when read. It's sad that I had to take from my own past experiences to make this storyline but I felt like the only way I could get out how I felt and what happened in my life. From Latino's hidden cellphone calls to his arguments with Atomic. There was even a mixture of blackmail with Angelo Giovanni, aka Santiago Rivera aka Jay Zero. I have to say this I wish I could've done more with Angelo. He was a lot of fun to work with and I feel like us working together was not the main attraction when it should've. I feel bad and who knows maybe in the future we can really have that big feud. So, we go on and the storyline progresses. Latino tries to keep his secret despite his guilt and Angelo now has Latino doing whatever he wants. Atomic goes onto her own investigation and finds out the truth for her own. This all culminates to Hellbound Heart. Latino is forced by Angelo into an International Title match with RDK. RDK was a great champ but he wanted to move on and since I was the only open person ready for that title I was put into the match. It was honestly a last minute addition but I feel we made it work. Angelo wanted Latino to lose so that he could cause Latino more pain and make money off the match in bets. Of course, Latino wins anyawys and Angelo tries to reveal Latino's secret to the world. Atomic already knows though and show sher own video. This all ends with Latino and Ak finally getting back together and all is right in the world.
I'm sorry for such a long post but this entire post is really what made Latino who he is today. During these months the Latino character became very well rounded. People started to learn what really made him tick and just how he would act in certain situations. He was now more than just a person uttering random phrases and getting drunk for no reason. He was a man that had pride and values. He was a man that made deep mistakes and was willing to take those head on and most importantly he loved the woman that always stood by him. Now it was time for Latino to go on as a champion with Atomic by his side. Next up? Symphony of Chairs.
