So my first ever feud was around the corner, and after the controversy that surrounded one of the newest members, my feud would be against......Rena. The feud was pretty poorly done though, even though there was a match between myself and Rena which was a Backyard Brawl (and one of my most favourite matches ever). I won the match, and there was a match made for Emperor of the Ring.
However, as Rena had come in as a diva-type wrestler, I didn't want to make it seem like a squash match. I was had changed to Ron Killings as my poser, and in my eyes, I just couldn't see Ron Killings vs. a Diva in a Cage match make any logical sense, other than a complete squash. I guess I still hadn't grasped the idea that anything can happen in an e-fed. Anyways, I decided to quickly add Bob to the match, who barely even knew about it until the predictions card had come up, and as a result it was extremely rushed. And whilst the match at the Pay Per View was well-written, there was a DQ finish which I wasn't happy about. I mean again, I hadn't quite grasped the concept of the calcs system, and I kicked up a fuss about how I was meant to win the match, not realising that Bob had much higher calcs than me.
I consider it the worst feud I've ever had in ACW, and one of the worst the fed may have ever seen.
But a lot of other interesting stuff happened during that time. I managed to get a World Title shot in what must have been my third match in ACW. After Heatwave, something happened which caused the chat to be taken down. I don't know the details, but all I remember is that I tried to solve things by making an AIM Group Conversation, which failed horribly. Anyways when the chat went back up, I found myself talking to Bladeshadow in the chat. Blade was the World Champion, and had been away for a couple of days. I asked him for a World Title shot, expecting him to say no, but to his surprise he agreed to it. The best part about it was how he agreed only to win via Rena's interference, which helped put me over a bit. He may have been a douche, but he actually did alright to me.
Anyways October came along and all I remember is that Rey McFoley, who had been injured for a while, wanted to take me under his wing. He would secretly watch my matches and speak after each one, judging me and asking for a match at Samhain. I just went with the flow pretty much as I still didn't really know what I was doing all that much. All I knew was to write every so often and hope for the best, as wins and losses didn't really come to me as important. Just getting up the card. So predictably he won the match at Samhain, but we had an agreement to form a tag team. I believe there were three ideas for names:
1) American Heroes
2) The Worlds Even Greater That The World's Greatest Tag Team (TWEGTTWGTT)
3) Mestarruus (Finnish for “Champions)
I chose the latter, because I thought it just sounded pretty cool, and the other names were fairly lame. RDK was supposed to join us and we'd become a type of APA-style stable, where we'd be hired to take people down, but in hindsight I think we did the right thing by not going down that path, as it wouldn't have been good for our characters.
I thought it was pretty funny that before the Mestarruus plan, JonnyG (Jonny Spade) had approached me with an eye to create a tag team. I sort of stalled on the idea, but eventually I decided that I was going to accept the proposal. Only thing was that by the time I'd accepted, I think Jonny had forgotten that I hadn't given an answer, and he'd chosen to tag with Gooey Garth. I didn't hold any grudges or anything, though, because it was sort of my fault it took me so long to respond, I guess. Plus, it helped create one of the best tag teams in ACW history.
At this time I was happily getting along in ACW. I was still being a bit of a dick every now and then, but I never felt like I was really getting on anybody's nerves. If I was then I wouldn't have acted like I did. And with two full months under my belt, I felt like I was ready to dictate my own feuds, and go for some gold.
