If any of you took time to read my segment on Meltdown then you may have noticed the flashback of Torak's accident as a youth. Well, that was in fact an incident that actually happened to me, albeit it with a few slight differences such as: - The real door didn't have glass, it was some sort of plastic sheeting, which to my knowledge, didn't break. - I never received any scars from the incident at all but my mother did cut her arm and still her scar is visible. - As stated in the segment, I never needed glasses. In fact, I can see BETTER out of my right eye than my left.
My question to you is, in an attempt to at least turn this into a decent topic: have you ever written a segment based on your own experiences?

Lots of my segments are based off my real life encounters. Some are just inspired and some are taken exactly from it...I just can't remember any right now.

Sort of, but not really. I get ideas from every day life, but I don't directly base anything on real life.

I wouldn't say I've based a segment off something that happened in real life, but I have made characters like that...one in particular was a complete bitch, which fit the bill for my grandfather's 2nd wife (as she showed her true colors at my grandfather's funeral after he died a few years ago).

I guess any segments where I appear drunk have been inspired by my own tales.

Little known fact: I'm an insane schizophrenic who murdered his brother after being mentally tortured by himself and said brother for a little over a year. Then I dabbled in semi-legal drugs while wooing a girl who ended up getting her throat slit by an insane, oxymoron-named private detective. Before that, I found out I was born in some private pagan town which was apparently ruled by Satan himself, despite the fact that Satan was murdered a tad later by the girl with whom I fell in love. She escaped and was (as I already mentioned) murdered by the detectives who were supposed to find her. And then I always talk to my emotions, and recently someone blew up my house.
So no, none of my real life experiences influence my stories. >.>

Wait....you didn't really cure cancer or create world peace Hunter? My illusions of the world are fading .... As for me, I tend to take from real life, but only in the lightest ways... To put it simplym my life is a cluster fuck, and it's hard to write out.

A lot of my things are based on real life. A lot of them also are not.
