That Rumble match was garbage. Booked terribly, so much filler for no reason, so many weak bookings. God damn, that was awful.

That Rumble match was garbage. Booked terribly, so much filler for no reason, so many weak bookings. God damn, that was awful. The first 1/3 or so was great. I loved Bubba's return. Wyatt vs Boogeyman made me mark out...there was a lot of good stuff up until Bryan's elimination honestly. It was downhill since then. I feel so awful for Reigns. I think the guy has so much potential but he's not ready and WWE has set him back so majorly in their booking. If this is a long con to turn Reigns heel then it's smart, but they just turned Batista heel last year. Honestly, the fact of the matter is, the fans want Daniel Bryan. They make it very obvious. Not giving the fans what they want was a mistake. Yes, Bryan was just in the main event last year. But how many times were Hogan, Austin, and Cena in the main event? If the fans want Bryan, they should give them Bryan, and now Reigns is unfortunately going to suffer. That Rollins/Cena/Lesnar match was amazing though. I can't help it. I love Brock Lesnar. Im a total mark for him. He's amazing. I wish that he was around every month, but that match was so good, and Rollins officially became a star IMO.

I'm just not buying Roman Reigns beating the guy that broke Undertaker's streak.

Ok, my thoughts and feelings on my first PPV for at least 6 years. Spoiler Warning, of course:
New Age Outlaws vs The Ascension A good start for me, as NAO were one of my favorite tag teams back in the day. Unfortunately, this was nothing more than a squash as I don't remember The Ascension getting hardly any offence in prior to the ending.
The Usos vs Miz/Mizdow The best match on the undercard. I love the look of the Miz/Mizdow gimmick.
Bella Twins vs Paige & Natalye Sloppy match. Don't think much of the Bella Twins (Outside of their looks, of course).
World Title Match Excellent match. Not quite a five star but close. The only thing that brought it down for me was the continuous tease finishes towards the end with the no-selling of the finisher. I really like the look of Rollins and I think I'm getting a new perspective on Lesnar and Cena, who I previously detested. Some really well worked spots and great ending.
Royal Rumble I should have expected it, but the Rumble, as usual, was a disappointment. It started off well and Bubba's inclusion was a mark out, but I feel the WWE missed an opportunity to not bring in D-Von when Wyatt and Harper were in. I was underwhelmed by Bogeyman's appearance. I get what they were doing with Wyatt, but I think the ring was left nearly empty for too long periods and it didn't feel like a Rumble until the ending. Poor decision to have Bryan eliminated so early. It would have made more sense for him to be involved in the ending. Even being out of the scene for so long, even I could predict what was going to happen with the last 7 or 8 remaining. I literally did not see the point of hiding Rusev outside the ring only for him to be tossed out after the 'fake' ending. It would have made more sense for him to win.
It looks like WWE have done it again and really messed up and not learned from previous mistakes. They insist on force-feeding guys to fans who are obviously resistant to it. I don't understand why they don't just give the people what they want and that seems to be Bryan. The fact that they had to drag The Rock out to give Reigns some credibility as a top face (didn't work) speaks volumes.
I'd give the event a 3-star, salvaged by the brilliant Triple Threat Match.

Go figure that Raw is snowed out after all of this. God apparently is a YES man. I pretty much agree with everything Freeman had to say. My thoughts pretty much, which is surprising.
Last year they forced us Boobtista, this year Rico Suave. Gee, thanks WWE.
For the record, the World Title match was worth the NINE NINETY-NINE. I hate that Lesnar is not around, but damn, credit where credit is due. He IS a beast. Also Cena ... gotta respect that SOB. And Rollins, you better cash in at WM.
Had fun in the chat last night with everyone. Maybe we can make it a Monday Night thing until WM and the Reunion show.

Weekly Monday chats sound awesome to me, though I guess not tonight considering Raw is apparently cancelled. I wonder what they're going to show instead, because they did say that it's still going to be on. Id assume clips of something or other, but who knows.
I was looking forward to seeing the fallout from yesterday.
Honestly the Road to Wrestlemania last year was one of the best. I loved the story with Bryan, HHH, Orton, and Batista, and it culminated in IMO the best Wrestlemania since Wrestlemania 20. Of course, none of that was on purpose....It helps that Batista is infinitely more entertaining as a heel. But whether they stumbled upon it or not, they ended up with gold.
If the fans keep on Roman, the WWE is going to be forced to do SOMETHING about it. I'm curious what that will be.

Cena isn't a bad wrestler. Anymore. You can rip his gimmick, his target demographic, his ideology as a company man, but he's not a bad wrestler. Not anymore.
