Yes, it's that magical time of year again! Rumble is in Philly, people expect at least a couple surprise entrants, who do you guys got?
I'd guess...Dudleys, 2 NXT guys (Finn Balor if 1 or 2, Tyler Breeze, Someone large), and someone in their 50s that's loosely associated with DDP.
Already announced list:
* Ryback * Dolph Ziggler * Jimmy Uso * Jey Uso * R-Truth * Damien Mizdow * The Miz * Fernando * Diego * Fandango * Justin Gabriel * Goldust * Stardust * Big Show * Kane * Daniel Bryan * Dean Ambrose * Bray Wyatt * Bad News Barrett * Roman Reigns * Rusev

Its a boring choice but I think Orton will most likely return. I bet Adrian Neville is the NXT guy.

I'm actually going to watch the Rumble (If I can find a stream) even though I have no idea who 90% of those guys are. Anybody care to fill me in on who the likely candidates to win are?

Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan are the only two serious contenders. A 1% chance of Dolph Ziggler or Randy Orton. But like really 1%.

I was going to say it might be more fun not knowing who most of the guys are, but yeah. What Freeman said is essentially right. >_>

I do like the look of Roman Reigns. What sort of gimmick/angle is he doing at the moment. Also happy to see Daniel Bryan doing well as I was a big fan of him back then on the indy circuit. Where the hell did all these guys all pop up from? I surely haven't been out of the wrestling scene for that long. Was there a big crash or something that sent all of the talent scattering? Seems like such a big turnover in a short space of time. TORAK DON'T LIKE CHANGE!!!

Seems like such a big turnover in a short space of time. TORAK DON'T LIKE CHANGE!!! Oh man so you missed the Shield? You should check them out, they're amazing. It was Reigns, Rollins, and Ambrose. Roman Reigns is kinda struggling right now. He was amazing in the Shield as the muscle of the group, and he has a sick spear. He was charismatic in the ring, and had intensity and was big which Vince likes. He was a total badass at the time who benefited from being in the strongest pushed heel team/stable in ages where they actually got to look like badasses pretty much all the time. He had some great tag matches with Rollins (One that stands out to me is Rollins and Reigns vs The Usos at the Money in the Bank pre-show in 2013) but has had more trouble on his own, since his mic skills are not exactly up to par, and his style suited the tag matches more than singles matches. He was getting a big push but was out for a couple months, but it seems like WWE still wants to give him the push. He's most likely going to win and face Lesnar because they've been pushing him as a huge deal for a while. (In 2013 he tied the Survivor Series elimination record at 4, and in 2014 he broke Kane's elimination record in one Rumble at 12). But I really do think he's fizzled a bit since he's had to cut promos and do singles matches. It's a shame really, but I hope that they don't go with him because I think it'll be a mistake. And I dunno, which guys in particular? As for the Shield guys, I think Roman Reigns is a WWE creation (He's from that giant Samoan family that has a million wrestlers), though Ambrose was Jon Moxley in various indies, and Rollins was Tyler Black in ROH. A lot of ROH guys are around now...Cesaro was Claudio Castagnoli, obviously there's Daniel Bryan, and Kevin Steen and El Generico are in NXT. Oh and Luke Harper, formerly of the Wyatt family, was Brodie Lee. Bray Wyatt was Husky Harris in WWE before, though I dunno how many years you haven't been watching for, he's the son of IRS. Otherwise there's still Cena, Orton, HHH, Big Show, Kane, and Lesnar.

Sting will be in the Rumble, to take out HHH. Count on it.
Also, the best WM Main Event at this time is:
Rollins wins title.
Ambrose or Reigns wins RR.
The one who doesn't gets invited into a Shield Triple Threat for the WWE Title at WM. Pretty badass match to three guys who certainly deserve it. A pivotal moment on which one takes the moment.
Brock goes away.
Unfortunately my plan does not account for Cena and therefore will not happen. He will surely figure into some Main Event scenario at WM. If they don't do a heel turn with him this time, all is truly lost.

As much as I would love to see Ambrose/Rollins/Reigns at Wrestlemania, Lesnar's momentum...being given the honor of breaking the streak, and then squashing Cena at Summerslam....they have to at least get a Wrestlemania main event out of that. The obvious choice, that I hope they go for, is Lesnar vs Bryan. That has potential to be one of the greatest David vs Goliath matches of all time. And to me personally it's the biggest dream match I can imagine right now. But maybe they could do a Rollins/Reigns/Ambrose match at Summerslam or something.

I'd love to see Lensar's profit margin because this guy has completely fucked up so many moments and storylines. I agree with you and hear what you are saying, but ... just screw Brock. Wyatt should have been the guy to break Undertaker's streak. Not some guy who has only been seen on TV less than 10 times since. This is complete nonsense.

Looking at the card, it seems odd that there's no 1 vs 1 match. Not very balanced to have all tag team matches. Still, I'm looking forward to seeing Xavier Woods in action as I gave him a massive push for RoH in my last game of EWR.

The undercard is pretty bad, though the WWE title match and Royal Rumble should make up for it.

I'll be in chat if anybody else is online. I will have the Rumble on in a different window, so might not reply straight away
