Macho Man RDK (3rd title reign: EOTR'05 to 12/17/05 Winter Discontent) - In my eyes, Macho was the first great ACW Champion. After having faced Yoko during the height of the Mercer Stanton storyline, he went on to face Dan White during the height of the Untouchable storyline and captured the big belt for the third time in his career, becoming the first man to do so. In his first month he again faced off against Dan, but this time the “Ace of Spades” entered the fray and a triple threat be had. So what does someone who dubs themselves “Macho Man” do? Well, they beat two Untouchables instead of one! With nothing seemingly stopping him, the ‘Mach went on and got his own PPV, “Machomania.” He of course headlined this PPV which had him beating Hunter, the man who would eventually would lose the title to a month later. His longest title run ended up being the one that would set the standard for successful title runs for years to come.

Latino (6/24/06 Omega Effect II to 10/1/06 Emperor of the Ring ) - Latino’s goal was to win the world title. How do I know this? It’s in his profile! Anyway, not only did he win the big one, he just didn’t give up afterwards which happens so often in e-fedding. Oh no, when he won the belt, he was determined to take the next journey and defend it against the best contenders. His first month he came up against the much underrated and underappreciated Fallen Souls. Next up was a double month long feud with BK London that saw Latino victorious in their first encounter. Unfortunately Latino couldn’t keep his streak against London going and finally lost his gold at Emperor of the Ring ‘06. This was a textbook three month title reign done to perfection. Just the kind I adamantly support.

BK London (3rd title reign:8/2/08 Seven Deadly Sins to 12/20/08) - Time to feed the BK London ego machine. Though he is retired, it always has a healthy appetite. BK’s third title reign proved that you cannot accuse him of not doing anything with the strap. This reign served as the perfect backdrop as he waged war against ACW with his mostly NPC army of OCW. I still remember his spats with Kudo, Andrews, Senator and Zero well and that says a lot in this day and age. One can only imagine what this would have been like if he did not have so many drop out of story such as Flamingo, Stark, etc. Though the story did not reach its full potential, it served as a great backdrop for ACW at the time and gave people something to talk about, which is what the champion should do.

Alicia Kitsune - (3/25/06 Genocide to 6/24/06 Omega Effect II) First of all, I admire how AK won the title. There is nothing like going into a multi-man match where you fight the best ACW has to offer and you walk out the victor. Trust me, I know. Not only did AK solidify herself as the “baddest woman on the planet” in this match, she put the exclamation point on this label the following months when she faced and defeated BK London. So what does one do from there? Well, they say one man isn’t enough, I want the whole fed! And that’s what she did! At Spring into Hell ‘06, AK faced virtually the entire roster of ACW and once again came out on top. This gem of a title reign finally concluded at Omega Effect 2 where AK lost to Latino and ACW had their “feel good story of the year.” There isn’t no ducking here, folks, this is the stuff of LEGENDS! Okay, I’m over hyping it a bit but it certainly is to be admired.

Yoko Satoshi (1st title reign: 3/26/05 Genocide to 9/15/05 Warfare) - Whenever someone types the name “Yoko Satoshi” in an ACW related online discussion several thoughts filter through your mind. They may be good, they may be bad, but no one ever thinks “who is that?” Oh yes, the name Yoko Satoshi carries much weight here in ACW and one reason out of many was his terrific first world title run, in my opinion, the best ever. During Yoko’s first historic reign, there was nobody that Yoko ducked. Nobody. Yoko took on them all and amassed another record that gets absolutely no recognition around here. No, I am not talking about the 174 day record as champion. I have said time and time again, this record is useless. If you hold the belt 200 days and only defend it 5 times who really gives a shit? It is successful title defenses that matter and Yoko holds the record somewhere in the teens. The actual number is unknown to me at the time, but I am compelled to research this and will report my findings later. Her feuds and title defenses with BK London, Atomic Kitsune, Wyvern, The Senator & RDK are not just a “who’s who” of ACW, but also an example of how it should be done.
My analysis: To have a successful title run, it is critical to have a feud with BK London. Also, when the world title is hot, it seems to go in streaks. AK to Latino and Yoko to RDK, for example.
Just outside looking in: White Rose, Chance Emmerson, Thunderkiss, Jake Steele, BK London (1st)
