A nice break from my essays to post a new chapter
So after the debacle of the last couple of months, I decided to go into full swing and fulfil the big massive storyline that I always wanted to do. The basic history would have been that my dad, Jack McCarty, would have bought WCW 98's (our former co-owner) shares in the company, and would have always been part of the Board of Directors. I've written this before in the “ACW Dropped Storylines!” topic, and I think it'll just be easier to copy and paste straight from there, what the planned storyline was going to be:
So I didn't have much of a planned storyline, but oh well. I remember I was going to have either Torak or Rookie Monster become Jack McCarty's hired muscle, and pretty much manhandle me all month before I beat them at Genocide. But neither man replied to their PMs, so I got with the Senator instead. It was a pretty good feud I remember, but nothing too memorable, and Senator won at the PPV. I then had a feud with Fallen Souls for Fallen Heroes which again involved that man Wyvern interfering with stuff, and in the end we had to settle for a pretty botched storyline and match, which Fallen Souls won.
Anyways it was around this time that I took over Fallout. I'm not sure what attracted myself to the show at that time, but I really found the idea of the way Wyvern (a good story about him this time >_>) had taken it up. It was revamped from the Saturday Night Live-esque show Ridley had been writing, and had a small bunch of NPCs, created by ACWers, on the show and fighting for the show's belt, which was the ACW Junior Title. That belt was shared between ACW as its lowest belt, and Fallout as its highest.
Fallout at that time was like a cross between OVW and Heat. It had every now and then, formidable guys from the ACW roster, but was mostly for newcomers and the Fallout NPCs. But I remember looking at the Bloody Valentine's Pre-Show, and for some reason I found the idea of a PPV warm-up show really appealing. Maybe it's just the way Wyvern wrote it, with just a couple of matches and hyping up the matches. But I really liked it. Fallout was running bi-monthly schedule due to Wyvern's time restraints, and I offered to take up the Pre-Shows, which he accepted. The more and more Fallout went on, the more I realised I was pretty much the chief writer, and even when Wyvern posted the shows I was writing most of the content.
Eventually I took Fallout over in late July, after Seven Deadly Sins, after Wyvern had decided to leave. But for a long time, Fallout was pretty much exclusively my show anyways, and as Summer 2005 rolled in, I felt that I had more than enough time to take on both Fallout writing, and main show writing, and things were looking strong in ACW. But I've left out a bit of a hole here, so I'll have to fill that up next time, where I lead up to ACW's first ever Omega Effect.
It was also during this time when I won the Lightweight Title, giving Jake Cheng a 5-day reign of the belt, on the first show after Genocide. I had a pretty long reign with that title, defended it a lot, but regrettably never made a proper feud out of it. I ended up losing the belt in a controversial fashion, but that's for another chapter.

6. (Spring '05) Oh yeah that reminds me. Amidst the McCarty angle when he first arrived in ACW, the plan was that McCarty would find a loophole in ACW proceedings, and was therefore able to buy CJayC's 50% of the company, because when WCW 98 sold his share in the company, the shares actually went on the market and numerous share holders bought that part of the company. But McCarty would have bought every single share that there was, so that he then owned half the company. I didn't have a planned ending because I needed to confirm that the storyline would be allowed to go ahead. I consulted Ginger and he actually said that had I asked him a couple of days earlier, it would have been fine. But of course Yoko got in there first with stupid Stanton.
