Disclaimer: These picks are of course my opinion. My opinion is neither right or wrong its just what I think. So if you don’t make the list, please do not feel that I don’t like you, what you wrote or that your promos were not as good as the one’s I have listed. I really don’t want people to get discouraged over things like these. Please, please realize that with the amount of talented writers that we have it’s a super tough job picking out just five promos. TK'S PICKS! - “Dreams” by Adrian Flamingo: This promo has quite the polish to it. I enjoyed Flamingo’s description of Philadelphia, and as I read, I couldn’t get the scenery from Rocky out of my mind. Nice work there. Mickey’s dialoge was terrific as usual and Adrian’s internal mind struggles kept me hooked. You can tell as you read that the man isn’t quite ... right, if you know what I mean. The last paragraph is extremely brilliant, with all the ticking noises alluding to the ticking time bomb, of course.
- “Close, Close, Close” by Lucrezia: Yeah, the Damiano’s might not reflect “family values” very well, but I can tell you they sure are fun as hell to follow. This read like a chapter out of Sin City, and if you’ve never read this graphic novel, let me just say that’s a GOOD thing. If we could only get Frank Miller to illustrate this promo, then it would be absolutely perfect! Anyway, the ritual was overflowing with vivid description and the ending kept me in suspense. Nice work.
- “The Confrontation” by Snake / Anon: Alright Anonymous, you finally got my attention. Not that you didn’t before, but now you’re actually doing something intriguing. Snake, I can no longer tell if you are coming or going, but any Snake contribution to the show is a good thing. This has the makings of a classic feud with a surprise mixed in, the perfect combination for some good reading.
- “All Good Things... - Redux” by Hunter: Ahh Hunter, I know you probably won’t believe me when I say I will miss your writing, but I will. Your goodbye was very heart wrenching. I could almost feel the sadness in the voice of this promo. Not being able to take one final look back was a terrific way to end it. The Senator’s shock also came through strong in the text, and all around I must say this final contribution reflects the dedication you've always had for your writing.
- “Invasion of Love - Finale” by FSX: Tom Cruise? Check. Aliens? Check. Care bears? Check. Rick Astley? Check. Waitaminute... Rick?! Squeeeeeeee! Two words - RICK F’N ASTLEY! Hell yeah! Oh Mr. X, you so knew that was going to get you on this list! Way to exploit my bias! Hah! In all serious though, this was a nice finish to a hilarious story. FSX, the greatest cure for depression is through laughter. Thank you for always putting a smile on my face.
Thunderous Quote of the Show: Taken from "All Good Things... - Redux" Cue the ending theme to the Incredible Hulk TV show... Hunter keeps his face lowered and he stares at the ground, his eyes shut tightly. He pounds the ground a few times as the rain continues to envelop him, and after a few moments he is able to pull himself back up to his feet. He holds back his emotions and stares up at the sky, the rain crushing him and washing away every thing he wanted to leave behind. He takes his bag again and walks to the parking lot, and in a few seconds he enters his car, tossing the bag into the backseat. He sits there, staring out of the window into the nothingness before him. No new rain comes because of his newfound shelter, but the old rain does not flow off of his body very easily. He attempts to look back at the arena, but he cannot seem to turn his neck, no matter how slightly. And after a few more silent moments, he turns on his car and backs up, turning on the street. He closes his eyes, and after a prolonged sigh, he gradually finds himself moving forward into the unknown shadows of a strange new and endless darkness. Now that's how end a story, or a character. Your choice.

”STAR(S) OF THE NIGHT: Thunderkiss/Durden” I honestly didn’t see this coming at all, mondo swerve and it was a kick-ass initiation into ‘raj. Shame Durden won’t be competing but it’ll still make for a pretty damn good alliance. Entourage grows stronger by the month and ACW is really starting to heat up.
”AUTHOR OF THE NIGHT: Hunter” His departure was emotional man, it was a damn shame and it was a beautiful exit. Couldn’t of been done better by anyone else.
”MATCH OF THE NIGHT: Hunter VS Senator This was a kickass match and I truly believe that the writers deserve a tip of the hat. At no point when reading it did I think “Oh, I should skim a few paragraphs” because it was all top-notch stuff and that is something I have a tendency to do with most matches in general. Thumbs up guys.
”Line of the Night: From FSX VS Mainer” I know I shouldn’t vote for something I was a part of but I didn’t write the match and this was too big to ignore.
Got some good chuckles from me. Great match X, couldn’t have been better if anyone else wrote it.
”Spot of the Night: From Hunter VS Senator The Sparta Kick FTW. I could clearly see in my mind Edge shouting “This Is Sparta” before kicking McMahon in the ribs. It was such an awesome spot. I marked out.
”Top Segments” 1. T-Train [Great Space-War] An interesting look into the past of The Train, plus having Zap Brannigan in a segment = 100% win.
2. Adrian [Dreams] Top-Notch promo from The Eye & The Fingers of The Flamingo, great segment which looks into his train of thought.
3. FSX [Invasion of Love Conclusion] Great end to a great series from FSX, I laughed so hard at Tim’s “Happy Place” it wasn’t even funny and the line and “WHO THE FUCK STOLE MY PANTS?”
