Scott sat up, wide-eyed, and he just ran his fingers through his hair and asked the ref what the count was again. He shook his head and stood back up and looked to try for the very same maneuver, but this time Chance seemed to use a sixth sense to put a pair of elbows up to block the maneuver, he roaring and booting Andrews in the stomach before powering him up and charging clear across the ring with him before tossing him bodily into that exposed turnbuckle with a Tiger’s Heaven Bomb!
Edison: DANGEROOOOOOOOOO-
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOUS!!!
Andrews didn’t so much react to the move as land on the turnbuckle, let his feet his the ground and then simply flop unmoving onto the canvas, the crowd’s reaction epic, a “This is awesome!” and “Holy sh*t!” chant dueling over one another as Chance stumbled and fell to rest against the ropes as his knee buckled. The referee started the mandatory ten count, Chance coming to his feet at just above an eight count and pulling Andrew to his feet to deliver the fatal blow. As he did, Andrews pushed his hands down and in a last-ditch effort to vanquish the Tiger Seven he had his kick block but jumped up and delivered a hard Reload to Chance’s head! He hit the mat hard, but Chance stayed standing for a moment before crashing down like a redwood.
McNally: He just has to cover him! He has a chance to win!
Andrews scrambled to his feet, clutching his back before going wide-eyed and screaming to the crowd who responded with a raucous cheer. He scaled the top rope and readied for the Death Cap, but of course…
Edison: REF, GET HER DOWN!
Umeko jumped up onto the apron and tried to grab his foot, but Phillips was right there to come onto the apron to stop her! Andrews really had no qualms at that point about shoving her off the apron to land unceremoniously on the mats, Senator dropping off to see to her as Andrews wound the move up and came off the top… But no one was in the pool! Chance rolled aside just enough for Andrews to faceplant on the canvas, and as he popped up to his knees to clutch his injured ribs the mammoth man used his final vestiges of strength to come to his unsteady and limping feet before turning and laying Scott clean out with a modified Strike VII straight into his jaw. His head rocked back and he crashed finally to the mat, and Chance sank to the mat and covered him tiredly as the ref turned away from the Senator seeing to Umeko as she held her ankle…
1!
2!
…3!
The bell rang and the Senator stood, surprised, apparently having been thinking that Andrews had gotten the job done. He leaned on the apron and shook his head slowly as Chance rolled out of the ring a few feet to his left, he adjusting his suit and heading for the stairs to see to his stable mate. Umeko limped over to Chance and patted him on the chest, her tired monster having earned his title win in spades.
McNally: Another Ragnarok in the books, ladies and gentlemen, a very physical contest by these two competitors, and Emmerson’s going to have to make due with a very narrow win over Scott Andrews that he could definitely attribute to his manager’s wily ways. For Eddie Edison, I’m Maxwell McNally, see you next week for more ACW action.
After the fire and fury of the ultimate battle... comes silence.
But the Norse legends did not end with Ragnarok; a whole new world arose, and ACW alike will renew itself...
February will bring new challenges, and new challengers... but will it also bring new champions?
Fade to Black.
End of Show.
