The crowd is now not certain if they’re watching this, or fantasizing about the most amazing contest ever. Flares of pain hurtle around the bodies of the competitors; only now is the crowd starting to truly understand just how much the ACW World Title means to both of them. As Hunter looks at it, he starts to smile; he realizes that with the Macho Moonsault countered, RDK has nothing left in his arsenal that Hunter cannot deal with. Unknown to him, the same thought is occurring to RDK… and he has a surprise to share with Hunter and everyone else… or rather, almost everyone…
His confidence rising, Hunter runs toward RDK, going for another spear. He connects with RDK, but the macho man stands his ground, and with a burst of energy he flips Hunter into a powerbomb. Without looking back, RDK runs to the corner again; he ascends, but on reaching the top dizziness seems to overcome him and he puts a hand down to the rope to steady himself. It’s just too tempting for Hunter, after all he can counter any of RDK’s moves; he’s studied them all carefully in the lead up to the match. Hunter runs forward and leaps at RDK, aiming a punch at his head; but RDK grabs his wrist, and lifts Hunter up for just a second like a doll, pure mind over matter (and gravity). He smiles, and Hunter has just a moment to realize he’s in REALLY deep shit before RDK spins him up on to his shoulders, aims at the mat below, and jumps off, swinging Hunter around and down to drive him head first into the mat. The Tokyo Dome, which is built to survive severe seismic activity, is tested to its limit by the blast of sound and vibration as 55,000 people all jump out of their seats at the same instant.
“Fast” Eddie Edison: AAAAAAAAAHHH! BEYOND DAAAANNGEROOUUS!
Max McNally: SWEET LORD! That was the Kitsune-Tsuki Driver!! The move that almost cost Yoko Satoshi her title…
Hunter is motionless on the mat; RDK has keeled over beside him, and the referee starts his count, looking visibly worried about both men. Many fans think the match will have to be stopped right here…

4…
5…
RDK very slowly rises, and leans against the ropes, watching silently and emotionlessly.
6…
7…
Hunter’s eyes flicker; he raises his head, and registers the lights and noise.
“Fast” Eddie Edison: By all the stars… I don’t believe it, Max. It’s not possible.
8…
Hunter’s legs don’t want to co-operate, but by sheer willpower he forces himself to the vertical. The noise is beyond incredible now.
9- and the ref stops the count, with Hunter a second from defeat. RDK’s shoulder’s visibly sag; he thought he had the match conquered at last, and Hunter sees what may be his one last opportunity – the moment of doubt. He moves without even really knowing what he is doing; he delivers the Shotgun smoothly before RDK even registers that he’s under attack. The referee, who is by now entering a sort of trance-like state himself, counts again.

6…
Hunter watches, still detached from reality, as RDK makes the painful journey to stand on his own two feet. It’s all as he expected; it’s the second Shotgun, after all.
7…
8…
9…- RDK makes it at the last possible moment, and Hunter feels a strange sensation of pleasure. This is how it should be, he thinks, and now he’s in command again for the final stage. RDK puts up a fight this time, but there is no way he can succeed; Hunter knows how things are supposed to go. It’s like a movie; the biggest and best fight ends with a decisive, and utterly fitting blow. He enjoys the sensation of completing the Shotgun for the third time in the match, and gets up on to wobbly legs to watch the final countdown…

7…
8- But Hunter’s reverie is broken as RDK’s muscles tighten, and suddenly he’s kneeling. Hunter’s vision is turning from dream to nightmare…

And RDK is up, the crowd is up, everyone’s up except Andrew Hunter. A combination of pressure, fatigue and a slightly overactive imagination combine to leave Hunter almost bewildered; he looks around him, as if trying to work out what went wrong. He’s incredibly fortunate that RDK’s having trouble remembering what he’s there for at this precise instant as well; Hunter whispers to himself, teetering on the edge of losing it completely.
Hunter: Two or three… was it three? Or was it two? I’ve miscounted, yes, that was it, one more, that’s all it will take…
No one in ACW has ever seen anything quite like this; Hunter and RDK have pushed each other further than anyone has gone in the fed’s history, to the point where they are both struggling to feed their bodies and brains with enough oxygen and energy to stay conscious. Emotion, pure and raw, is all that’s keeping them going now; Hunter half walks, half staggers over to RDK and goes for the Shotgun one more time. But now it’s RDK’s brain that goes on autopilot; he reverses the move into a Jabroni Buster, and Hunter is laid out as RDK gets up and weaves his way erratically and slowly toward the corner post…
Hunter lies looking up at the ceiling. He can see many lights, and he wants to let his mind float away into them and give in to exhaustion… but then he sees the ACW banner directly above him.
A number of images race through his head, of his year or so in the federation. The things he’s achieved, and the things he failed at… and suddenly it hits him, clear as a spring day.
There is only the one chance, one opportunity, to make the most of today. There may be other matches, other title shots… but there will only ever be one moment like this.
The human body is an amazing piece of engineering; from somewhere Hunter’s corporeal form finds a stash of energy, and he rolls up on to his feet. As he does this, he pulls something from a concealed pocket, an item that he has forgotten until now – a set of brass knuckles. Hunter dashes across the ring, sliding them on to his fingers, and jumps up – this time he strikes RDK in the back of the head squarely, and RDK’s world becomes violently unstable. Tossing aside the weapon, Hunter moves his head up between RDK’s legs to get him on his shoulders; he climbs to the top turnbuckle, and he can feel it physically vibrating from the sound the fans are making, which has gone beyond that of a mere crowd, however large, to create something more ethereal and affecting. That sound, that moment, seem to freeze so that Hunter can mentally reach out and take hold of them; for that instant, he is master not only of the counter, but of the known universe and everything beyond it….
Hunter leaps, and twists around 180 degrees, so that he nails the Alter Event flawlessly. The crowd is so overcome that there is in fact a tiny moment of complete silence before they react, and Hunter lies still listening to them as the referee starts to count.
1…
2…
3…
4…
5…
6…
Hunter slowly gets up. He knows what he will see when he looks down; RDK’s eyes are half-open, and unresponsive to the considerable stimuli all around.
7…
8…
RDK stirs, and registers the general noise, but cannot zero in on the referee’s voice.
9…
It hits RDK and Hunter at the same time; RDK has nothing left to give… and nothing at all to be ashamed of. There is only respect and pride, to temper joy and sadness in equal measure.
10.
The bell rings.
Philip: Here is your winner… and NEW ACW WORLD CHAMPION, HUNTER!!

”Painkiller” thunders from the sound system, and yet it can scarcely be heard over the sound of the audience. Hunter just stands there, as if unable to quite grasp the truth; he has finally achieved his dream, the one thing that he has sought in ACW since the day he first stepped through the doors. The referee finds the title belt, and brings it to him; Only when Hunter actually has it in his hands does he start to return to life, and an exhausted but triumphant smile spreads across his face like a new dawn.
He walks to the nearest turnbuckle, and gets on the first rope; he holds the title up, and the noise that greets this almost knocks him back off of it. So many things are running through Hunter’s head that he can’t process them all; instead, he gradually becomes more animated, moving around the ring and allowing himself to enjoy the moment to its fullest...
While all this is going on, RDK is still lying on the mat. Sensation is not that slow to return to his limbs, but he is not yet ready to stand; he first has to contend with the crushing realization that his time as ACW Champion has ended, the crown has passed on. He runs the last few seconds of the match back in his head, trying to work out what he could have done differently… but after a minute or so of contemplation, he sits up, and becomes conscious of the storming ovation that the crowd is giving him.
Slowly, RDK stands; the referee now comes to him and asks if he is alright. RDK nods; defeat is hard to bear when you’ve been as dedicated to the title as he has, but he’ll get through it in time. Satisfied, the referee hands something to RDK which had quite left his mind during the match itself; RDK looks down at the tag title belt, and brushes off a little dust. It would be wrong to say that the lesser title makes RDK feel much better, but it does remind him that this is not merely an ending… it is another beginning. RDK holds his remaining belt up to the fans as he steps out of the ring; the crowd responds with an ovation of rare warmth. Even Hunter pauses in his celebrations, and makes eye contact with RDK; the pair exchange a nod which conveys all that they need to say to one another.
RDK leaves Hunter alone in the ring to conclude his tour; as Hunter finally draws near the ropes to leave the ring, his balance falters and the referee has to assist him to climb down. He hobbles slowly up the ramp; his condition bears witness to the enormous cost he has paid in order to secure the belt. And, Hunter thinks, as the fans continue to cheer, this is only the first few steps… the real challenge lies in carrying the mantle of the championship every day, every hour, without pause or error…
It’s not going to be easy… but it’s certainly going to be interesting.
Fade out.

Segment: The Final Chapter Part II (Credit: DD, WCW 98)
The camera cuts from Hunter’s celebrations to the backstage, where Daredevil is sat in a locker room with WCW 98. The two have their jaws touching the floor, both gobsmacked at the World title result when suddenly the cameraman from before bursts into the room, this time obviously without his camera.
Dan: What the hell do you think you’re doing? Can’t you see that we’re in a state of shock?
Cameraman: Listen Dan…The Headhunters…they’re back in the building…
Dan breaks out of his shock from Hunter’s win to shock at the cameraman’s statement.
Dan: …You mean…but…they can’t have…they were taken away by anti-riot Police!
Cameraman: Yes. They attacked the security guards. Two of them now don’t have any cheeks left. And I found this…
The cameraman passes the card to Dan, who scoffs at it.
Dan: That’s all they can come up with?
Cameraman: What…what do you mean?
Dan: Well back in the day, business cards meant something. Not a tacky thing printed in two seconds. Sorry but I don’t believe what you’re saying mate. There’s not a chance in hell that the Headhunters could have infiltrated the building, taken out an entire Japanese security team and have the entire arena surrounded. It’s too simple, it’s not like the Headhunters.
Cameraman: But-
Dan stands up, confronting the cameraman, talking through his teeth.
Dan: Get the fuck out of my locker room before I kick your arse.
The cameraman slowly backs out the room, getting quicker with every step. As he leaves, another person enters the locker room, out of breath.
Dan: What now? I suppose the Queen mother has returned in cow form and devoured Yokohama?
The man speaks, in a put-on Geordie accent.
Messenger: No mate. Your stable’s waiting in the back; they want to talk to you about something…something to counter the Headhunters or something along those lines…
Dan: Alright, let’s go. WCW, you coming?
WCW 98: Ah I don’t see why not…
Dan, WCW 98 and the messenger leave the room. The camera wisely decides to follow the three as the calmly walk down the corridor. As they walk down, they notice the Royles, sitting on a bench posing with the Junior Tag Titles, suddenly paying attention to the three, watching them walk down the hallway. The three simply continue, walking through a double door into the next set of locker room, but nobody is seen other then the three, until we reach the end of the hallway. The door is closed, but not shut, and the nametag on the front has fallen off.
Messenger: I was told I’m not meant to be coming in, so I’ll leave you guys here.
Dan: Meh, suits me
The messenger slips behind the two, and Dan opens the door. He looks inside, and his heart skips a beat. The cameraman manages to get into the room after the two, focusing on the floor where Jonny, Jake, Davey, Damien and Revenant are floored, battered and bloodied. The camera slowly pans up to notice about nine shaven headed, well-dressed men, several with tattoos reading ‘Headhunter For Life’. The camera manages to turn back to Dan and WCW 98, who are sweating with fear. They turn around to leave the room, but the messenger grins, shutting the door and flicking the lock. Dan and WCW 98 turn back towards the Headhunters, and the front row split up, with Mike Turner walking into the centre. He walks up to turn, smirking and headbutts him in the head. Dan stumbles forward, holding his head in pain and Turner and the Headhunters start laughing as Dan looks up, with a trickle of blood falling down his forehead
Turner: You actually thought you could have beaten us? What, with you and what army?
Fade Out.[/i]

Segment: Behind the Mask - Part I (Credit: Hunter)
The scene fades in as we return from the commercial break to find Hunter hobbling down the hallway, with some people helping him to his feet whenever he falls. He has just finished one of the most difficult and brutal matches of his career, so his reaction to it is quite understandable. He continues to walk down the hall, stumbling here and there, until he falls directly before the Senator.
Senator: Woah, Hunter!
The Senator helps Hunter to his feet as Hunter shakes his head a few times and tries to snap out of his hypnotic trance.
Hunter: Hey Sennie...you're back...
Senator: Indeed I am. And I must congratulate you on that spectacular match. I may not be a fan of hardcore matches, but it still was truly exciting. You took all that I have taught you and put it to good use.
Hunter: Thanks, man. You really did help...a lot...
Senator: Hmm. Well, regardless, the Stable as well as the Armada are all going out for drinks later tonight. I could only assume that you would want to tag along.
Hunter: Oh hell yeah, man, I'm there!
Senator: Excellent!
Hunter: Here, just let me get my stuff first. Where are you guys meeting?
Senator: We shall all assemble in the parking lot and drive off one by one to a sushi bar, most likely. I know a great one that I dined at almost every night when I was touring here a few weeks ago.
Hunter: Awesome. I'll see you a little later.
The Senator nods and turns away to walk toward the parking lot. Before he disappears from view, he looks over his shoulder in a worried manner at Hunter, who stands still for a few moments before continuing on his journey to his locker room. Hunter walks up to his door and opens it, then stumbles inside and sits down on the bench before him, completely ignoring the light switch. He sits still for a moment, then opens up his locker and starts taking all of his stuff out.
Hunter (mumbling): Son of a...man...I...crap...mmm...
Hunter may be completely out of it and completely unaware of his surroundings, but that quickly changes as soon as he hears that one, familiar sound...
Click.
Cage: Such is fate.
Click.
?: How right your brother is...
Hunter quickly stands up and turns around to try to find the proprietor of the voice.
Hunter: Show yourself!
?: Ah, ah, ah. We are doing this on my terms, let us not forget.
Hunter: Fuck your terms. Fuck you. If that's how you wanna play it, I'm outta here!
?: Hunter...remember what I told you on Monday? Do you remember how I said that you will be forced into discovering the truth?
Hunter: ...yeah.
?: Well today is the day.
Hunter peers into the darkness and starts cursing himself for not turning on the light.
Hunter: What do you have in mind?
?: You shall see soon enough. Now Hunter...let us play.
Hunter starts madly moving his head around to try to find his enemy, but he can see nothing. Suddenly, from out of the darkness comes a flash and a large clank...and Hunter falls down unconscious. From out of the darkness steps a figure dressed in all black with the infamous black mask that has no designs nor marks on it. The figure looks at the camera and smirks(or at least we assume this).
?: "If thou knowest thy enemy, thou can smite him before the eyes of God. But if thy enemy is shrouded, can thou see the truth clearly and smite with an open heart?"
The figure swings what appears to be a pipe at the camera with full force.
Cut to Black.

Segment: Final Chapter Part III (Credit: DD, WCW 98)
Turner: Well?
The scene opens back up with Dan standing up straight, with blood still running down his forehead. He’s rather groggy and WCW 98 almost has to help him stay on his feet.
Dan: Well what?
Turner: Did you actually think that you could defeat us?
Dan: …yeah…
The Headhunters laugh again.
Turner: You? Beat us? Listen, you lowlife piece of scum, we’ve fucking destroyed your ‘army’. And what, there’s ten of us.
Dan: November 18th 1993.
Most of the Headhunters stop laughing. Turner’s face goes red as he hears that date.
Dan: You remember, don’t you? It was Cardiff, at King’s Cross. We’d just had a match against Leyton Orient. Their lot isn’t very strong, so we only took about 30 there. Won the match, and we decided not to go against their lot as they had about 10 of them. So what happens when we board the train? We turn around. The Chelsea Headhunters, who had just had a match with Blackpool I believe. I take it you beat them, but they’re a hard bunch, and you have to admit that.
Turner: Yeah….what’s your point you Welsh sheepshagger?
Dan: My point is, that there must have been what…a hundred of your lot on the station platform? If I remember correctly Man Utd had a match at West Ham that day, so obviously you must have been going after their lot. However you couldn’t find them, so decided to have a fight with you. And what happened then, Mike?
Turner is silent. He clenches his fists.
Dan: Despite being the underdogs by two-to-one, we defeated you. We destroyed your group. We were so dominant that most of us came off with little more than a scratch. I remember we got this one guy and dragged him onto the train, kicked the living shit out of him. I managed to steal this off him…
Dan pulls down his jumper, revealing a solid gold necklace.
Dan: I meant to give it back, but I never actually managed to find out whose necklace it was…
Turner is almost at the point of smashing Dan’s face off, and is losing every fight against the temptation inside his head.
Dan: Mike, do you know whose necklace it was?
Dan says that with a smirk, but it’s all too much for Turner. He lunges forward, but quick as a flash Jonny and Jake jump forward, grabbing Turner and throwing him back to his group. Damien, Revenant and Davey manage to jump to their feet at this point, with several Headhunters surprised and pissed off that they’d been tricked.
Turner: All right then. You want to play that sort of game, do ya?
The groups unintentionally form a line at opposite walls, and face the opposing group. The groups attempt to stare each other out, until Turner suddenly screams at the top of his voice. The rest follow, and immediately lunge into the Untouchables. Now many of these Untouchable members have faced stiff competition in the federation, such as the likes of Ridley, White Rose and Yoko, but none have come close to what they endure at the start of this fight. The ten outnumber the seven Untouchables, and this shows as Turner whacks Jake to the floor with a punch. The Untouchables mistakenly try to use wrestling holds to take their opponents down, but Dan, who takes a Headhunter member down with a punch just looks over, groaning. He looks over to see that WCW 98 is impressively holding his ground, pulling a Headhunter member’s sweater over his head, and punching him in the mouth. Turner just smiles as he watches the fighting, and decides to lunge into Revenant, taking the old man down with one clean punch. Dan looks over again, and sees Davey holding a headlock on one guy, but the guy manages to punch Davey in the stomach and escape, punching him in the mouth.
Dan: For god’s sake…
Rushing, he looks around and grabs a beer bottle. He then grabs the guy who took Davey down, and hits him over the head with the bottle. The man immediately has a huge gash in his forehead, and Dan just smirks as Jonny, WCW 98 and Damien smile. The ‘score’ is about 4 remaining for the Untouchables, and 7 for the Headhunters, but the Untouchables now have the advantage as they stand clear of any attack, and grab a number of weapons, including a vase, a baseball bat and a china plate. Dan sends out an attack roar, and the remaining Untouchables charge at the Headhunters. Dan, who’s not bearing a weapon, tries to take down two at once but fails. However Damien is quick to the scene, hitting both across the jaw with a vase. Jonny shatters the china plate over Turner’s head, but the Headhunter leader just shouts at Jonny, hitting him with a punch so powerful that Jonny is almost instantly knocked out. WCW 98 then jumps onto the scene, helping Damien take one down, and the two help kick him in the face and chest. But they both turn around to see a complete psycho, holding a switchblade.
Psycho: Come on, eh? You want some?
He attempts to stab the blade into the arm of Damien, but Dan manages to hit him oddly with an Enziguri. Dan gets to his feet, turns to WCW 98 and Damien.
Dan: Sorry. Instinct I guess.
The fighting goes on, with Damien taking another guy out with a few powerful punches, but getting taken down by himself with a shot to the back of the head with a couple of hits. Dan tires on Turner but Turner grabs him by the throat, and chokes him. Dan tries to grab a weapon but fails to do so, and Turner just smirks at him, punching him several times in the face. Dan falls to the ground, but suddenly there’s a huge WHACK! Sound and Turner turns around, to see two Headhunters lying on the floor, with WCW 98 holding a baseball bat split in two.
Turner: Wow…fuck me…
Turner just smiles as allows WCW 98 to walk towards him, letting out an incredible punch that finally sends WCW 98 to the floor. Turner mocks dusting his hands, but turns around to see Dan staring straight into his face…
Fade Out.

Segment: Behind the Mask - Part II (Credit: Hunter)
The scene fades into the temporary ACW parking lot, where many ACW superstars can be seen going into their cars or limousines and slowly departing from the greatness of the show that they were able to put on. The main image that stands out before the hordes of running workers is a long white limo that has the Senator standing over it. The camera moves closer and we can see that the Senator is talking to Santiago Rivera, the latter situated nicely in the limo.
Santiago: Come on, man, you know he'll show up later!
Senator: Perhaps, but he is rather injured. Maybe I should check on him.
Santiago: Come on, you know Hunter. He's always late.
Senator: I am not so sure...
Santiago sighs and then Kudo Yasuda appears in the limo.
Kudo: Listen, the rest of us are going to go ahead. You know where we're going, so you can meet us there. Go find Hunter if it makes you happy.
The Senator pauses, but shortly thereafter he nods.
Santiago: Okay, see you later.
The window closes and the limo drives off with the remaining members of KYSPBA assembled inside. The Senator watches them drive off, then turns his attention toward the entrance to the backstage area of the arena. He starts walking toward the door and opens it, then walks down the hallway to Hunter's locker room. Many backstage workers rush by him, desperate to get home or maybe even out of the arena altogether. After all, it has been a hectic night. And this is just the beginning.
Senator: Hunter?
The Senator stands before Hunter's door and knocks. He does not receive an answer as he hoped he would. He slowly turns the doorknob and walks in. The first thing that hits him is the malicious darkness of the room. He flips on the light switch and sees Hunter's things scattered around his locker. He walks closer and finds the previously seen pipe. He picks it up after stretching his sleeve over his hand and examines it, finding a little blood at the end.
Senator: Hunter...what have you gotten yourself into?
He drops the pipe and stands up. It doesn't take long to put two and two together, and the Senator starts nervously pacing around, speaking to himself.
Senator: Where could he take him? Where?
And then the sociopath's own words hit him.
Senator: "I want you to remember when you found out about your worthless brother." Could that be...
And it hits him. How could he ever forget the life-changing moment that Hunter went through, a moment that the Senator himself witnessed.
Senator: ...a warehouse?
He needs not question his answer, he knows he's right. His recent tours of Japan have given him a great mental image of Tokyo and its surroundings. If he needs to find a warehouse, he'll find a warehouse. He looks at the cameraman.
Senator: You, come with me!
The Senator opens the door and walks out of the room with the cameraman trailing close behind him. He's so close to the truth. He has figured out so much...but the real question is, can Hunter? We will see soon enough.
Fade Out.

Segment: Final Chapter Part IV (Credit: DD, WCW 98)
Turner’s opened a beer as we get back to the Untouchables’ locker room, and is walking around the room as Dan stares at him.
Dan: So why did you come back?
Turner: I did it because I wanted to get revenge. I told you a while back that to treat my son it costs £100,000 a year.
Dan: Listen Mike, I can pay that off now. I’m loaded – I could give you a million now if you wanted me to.
Turner lets out a little chuckle.
Turner: It’s not about that Dan, and you fucking well know it. You know that this business is all about getting revenge and payback, and that’s what drives us forward. I already have the money set for my son, the Insurance company is paying me £250,000 a year-
Dan: -not bad
Turner: I know it’s not bad. But the fact is that my son is now messed up in the head. He cannot remember things, he’s had about 50 years of his life ruined because of you.
Dan: He should never have thrown that brick at me in the first place.
Turner suddenly squares up to Dan.
Turner: Maybe you should have known better than to throw it back!
Dan: Pffft. Of all the cheek…you’re telling me this, despite the time when you marched down Warwick Road throwing concrete slabs on people’s car bonnets?
Many of the Headhunter members are back on their feet at this point, though many of this group are still dazed from the fight.
Turner: Well…come on, you gotta-
A Japanese voice shouting in rough English shakes the whole room.
?: THIS IS THE POLICE! PLEASE COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS UP!
Turner and the Headhunters begin to panic a little, but soon calm down.
Turner: So anyways, you’re head’s on the chopping block, Dan. And I must warn you that if you as much as show your face in London, you’ll never see daylight again.
Dan: The bathroom has a door that leads to the outside.
Turner: You what?
Dan: As much as I’d love to see you lot locked away in a Japanese prison with filthy old perverts either side, I still hold respect in this business, and I’m not gonna let you lot get nicked.
Turner smirks one last time. At this point most of the Untouchable members have gotten to their feet.
Turner: You know what, Dan?
Da: …
Turner headbutts Dan again, and Jake and Damien get ready to attack but WCW 98 holds them back. Turner taunts at them, giving them the finger as the Headhunters rush to the bathroom, and through to the outside. As this happens, the locker room door bursts open with several Japanese police guards, along with Chairman Gingerdude, who is looking decidedly tired and hurt after his marathon match. Nothing, however, is going to keep him away from his fed when there’s trouble ensuing.

Gingerdude: Have the area searched! I will not, under any circumstances allow football hooligans to be causing havoc in my federation!
He looks at the Untouchables.
Gingerdude: You lot…where did they go?
Dan slowly gets to his feet, smiling.
Dan: London. Same place I’m heading off to.
Gingerdude: Sorry Daredevil, but I cannot allow you to take a break at this short notice.
Dan smirks again, standing up to his feet.
Dan: Sorry chairman, but I think you’ll find that in August of last year, you signed my contract for a length of 16 months. As of the 21st December, four days from now, I will be a free agent. I will no longer be part of the ACW…
Gingerdude stands, looking rather surprised.
Gingerdude: Look Dan…I can arrange a contract extension…how about a 20% raise, 36 months on the contract?
Dan: No, I’m afraid I can’t do that Gingerdude. You see I warned you twice that my contract was running out, but twice you refused to care about it, thinking too much about BK London and whatnot. So whilst you were interfering with the International Champion’s life, you let my contract slip away and now I’m effectively a free agent.
Jake: Look, Dan. For god’s sake sign the contract!
Dan looks at Jake, with a saddened look on his face.
Dan: Sorry Jake, but I no longer serve any business here. My past was in football hooliganism, and so is my future. I never should have begun wrestling in the first place.
The room is silent.
Dan: But meh, that’s just my opinion. Gingerdude, thanks for having me here in the ACW, but I’m out. I’ve got more important things to worry about, and that, my friends, is…what I am going to do now…
The Untouchables members are a little shocked at this news, and clearly some fans are as well as Dan marches out of the door, shoving Gingerdude back with his shoulder and slamming it shut. There’s silence in the locker room, nobody wanting to say anything.
End.
Fade Out.

Segment: Behind the Mask - The Final Chapter (Credit: Hunter)
The scene fades into the back of a car that be many fans can be recognized as the interior of Hunter's car. At the wheel is none other than the Senator, who has apparently decided to use Hunter's automobile as a way of transport to get to his ultimate destination. He quickly parks the car and gets out, followed closely by the cameraman. The cameraman moves the camera around the building in front of them and reveals it to be a large warehouse, as the Senator said it would be. The Senator walks up to the door and turns to face the cameraman.
Senator: Come on.
Cameraman: How do you know this is where he is?
Senator: Remember what the killer said to Hunter on Monday? "Remember where you first found out about your brother." He found out in a warehouse. And when I was touring through Japan a little while ago, I went here because some of my friends set up a makeshift ring, perfect for private training. This is the closest warehouse to the arena, so I can only assume that they will be found here.
Cameraman: ...I see.
Senator: And it sure does not hurt that there is another car parked here.
The cameraman faces this other car that Senator speaks of and nods. The Senator takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly, then opens the door and walks in, followed closely by the cameraman. Inside it is dark, but not so dark that the Senator cannot see where he is going. He looks over to his right and points at the makeshift ring that he mentioned earlier. They walk past it and go around a few pillars of boxes until they hear some footsteps. The Senator quickly stops in front of one of the pillars and the cameraman waits with him as well.
?: Come now, Philips, I know you are there. Come out.
The Senator does not move.
?: It is not my intention to damage you. No harm will be done to you.
Senator (calling): And how can you assure that?
?: I am a man of my word. That, and if you do not come out I will put a bullet between Hunter's eyes.
Senator sighs, and then reluctantly turns the corner and faces Hunter's enemy with the cameraman directly next to him.
?: You, with the camera! Come out where I can see you. I want you to film every moment of this.
The cameraman looks at the Senator, who nods. The cameraman then sidesteps a little and focuses the camera on the sight before him. Hunter is lying on the floor motionless with the mysterious man standing above him, wearing his infamous black mask. Scattered around them is random construction equipment as well as some wires. Besides these minor obstacles, the space is large and open. The man turns back towards Hunter and grabs a bucket of water next to him. Without a moment's hesitation, he pours the water on Hunter, who quickly awakens and hops up to his feet, attempting to dry himself off.
?: Ah, Hunter, so glad of you to join us.
Hunter wipes his face and looks at the man before him, then over at the Senator.
Hunter: Fine, you've got me here. You've done everything you could think of to get me over here. What do you want?
?: Hunter, we have been over this countless times. All I want from this, from all of this, is your suffering.
Hunter: ...pleasent thought.
The man chuckles.
Hunter: So what, are you going to kill me?
?: No. In fact, if all goes well, it will work in the opposite way.
Hunter raises an eyebrow, and to combat this action the man reaches into his coat pocket and pulls out a gun.
?: I take it you know how to work one of these?
Hunter: Uh...yeah...
The man throws Hunter the gun. Hunter looks at it suspiciously.
Hunter: What am I supposed to do with it?
?: Simple. Right now we are going to play a game. You have been handed a weapon. I am defenseless and I know the truth. I know why your brother was killed. I know why it was your brother specifically. I know everything. And you will do all in your power to extract this information from me.
Hunter: ...you're joking.
?: Not at all.
Hunter looks at the gun, then slowly bends over and picks it up. He holds it in his hand and silently admires it.
?: Now let us begin.
Hunter slowly raises the gun at the man.
?: Hmm. Is that all you can do? Come on, threaten me! I know all you want to know!
Hunter: Why are you doing this?
?: Ask me like a man!
Hunter points the gun more accurately and speaks more sternly.
Hunter: Why are you doing all of this?
?: Because I am a sick demented fuck!
Hunter: That's why?
?: Not at all. I can lie to you if I so choose! This is my world, this is my game! You must make me fear you, not the other way around!
Hunter walks up to the man and points the gun directly in his face.
Senator: Hunter...do not listen to him!
Hunter: Why are you doing this!?
?: Is that the best you got? The safety's off!
Hunter flicks off the safety and starts to press the gun deep into the man's forehead.
Hunter: WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS!?
?: Because I can! Because the world goes round! You ever read Whitman? He says that the world is just one big play and each one of us will contribute a verse. I'm not contributing a verse. I'm contributing an entire fucking ACT!

Hunter: You're doing this for your own glory?
?: That's the beauty of it, Hunter! It's NOT just my glory! This is for everyone! This will change anyone who ever views this experience! Have you ever pondered what the world would be like in a different pair of shoes?
Hunter: What the fuck does this have to do with anything? WHY DID YOU KILL CAGE!?
He presses the gun harder.
?: Because I can! Because I could! This is the best part of life, we are free to do anything!
Hunter: But we aren't! Ever heard of laws?
?: I refuse to be bound by your so-called "laws!" I will live free and I will do what I want! I killed Cage, yes. Why? Because I could! And why am I torturing you? Because I CAN!
Hunter: You sick fuck, you deserve to be shot!
?: Then shoot me! Don't let moral conscience interfere with your will! I killed your brother! Take your revenge! PULL THE TRIGGER!
Senator: Hunter---
Hunter: Shut up!
Hunter rises the gun high and whips the man in the face with it. The man stumbles back holding his cheek.
?: There you go, Hunter! Break free! You too will realize how it feels!
Senator: Hunter, if you kill him, he wins!
?: Indeed I will! It's just like Seven! I know you're a fan of that movie, Hunter. Doesn't this remind you of it?
Hunter: This makes no sense! There's more to it than you give off! You're not doing this to prove that I'm wrath!
?: Ah...how correct you are. You see what I mean? I can do whatever I want. I'm not afraid of you. And yet so recently you threatened me on live television and said you would kill me. Then do it.
He grabs the gun and pulls it onto his chest.
?: KILL ME! YOU'RE ONLY KILLING A MAN!!!
Hunter is just about to pull the trigger.
Senator: No! Do not listen to him!
?: Silence! Do not interrupt free will!
Senator: This is NOT free will! You are trying to get him to kill you! What if he does not want to?
?: But he does! Look at his eyes. They're a KILLER'S eyes!
Hunter glares menacingly at the man, but then pushes him away with the gun. He hangs his head and looks down at the ground, crestfallen.
?: Heh. I knew you couldn't do it! How dare you threaten me! You don't even have the balls big enough to pull the trigger!
Hunter continues looking down at the ground, and then notices something on the ground. He slowly moves his head and looks up at the ceiling, then back down at the man.
Hunter: At this point...I just don't care. Do I want the reason? Yes. But this isn't the way to get it.
He looks at the gun again, then throws it away to his side.
?: Ha...you just give up? Fine! Give up! Don't know the truth! Continue to be held back in your mental prison! You don't even wish to free your own mind! You don't even wish to know who I am!
Hunter looks directly at the man with such a strong fire in his eyes that the man takes a careful step backwards.
Hunter: No...I may not know all of this. But I don't have to. And in the end...it's what happens that counts. The motives behind our actions aren't always the most necessary things to know. That said...
And then he does something that shocks nearly everyone watching. He grins.
Hunter: ...I'll see you in hell.
Hunter lifts up his foot and stomps down on what he was glancing at earlier, which is revealed to be a remote control. The wire leads to the ceiling, and everyone follows it up, including the man. Then, from out of the darkness, a large pillar swings down and catches the man, then flies into the wall and impales the man to the wall. The man is motionless as his body is weighed over onto the pillar, his blood sprayed all over it. Hunter looks at the sight with a vacant look, and the Senator looks on horrified.
Senator: ...Hunter...
Hunter: Don't say anything. It's what Cage would have wanted.
?: Yeah...you've got that...right...
Hunter looks back at the man, who has now started to move a little bit, though he is almost certainly near death. Curiosity invades Hunter, and so he slowly walks towards the bloody mess and walks up to the man. He reaches his hand forward and grabs the mask. He takes a deep breath, and then pulls off the mask.
Senator: ...oh my God...
All that Hunter has feared. All that Hunter has worried about. All that Hunter has thought about for the past year. His fears, worries, and thoughts have all come back to haunt him. Before him stands his accuser and stands his tormentor. Before him stands the one reason why this all began. Before him stands the truth. Before him stands...

Hunter: ...Cage.
And suddenly, it's all so clear. Cage turns his head towards his brother and manages a small grin, though his teeth are smeared with blood and his face is also covered in blood.
Cage: ...and...so...here we are.
Hunter: I...I...how?
Cage: Come on...Hunter...it's obvious...
Hunter: You...faked your death?
Cage: Obviously.
Hunter: But why?
Hunter is teary-eyed at this point, realizing what he has done. Cage pauses for a moment and waits for the right time to speak.
Cage: My entire career...my entire LIFE...it's always been...about you. When we were a tag team...Hunter & Cage...when you were born...our parents forgot about me...you were the center of...attention.
Hunter: That's not true!
Cage: But it IS...you didn't give...you didn't give me enough credit...
Hunter: But I did...
Cage: I helped you...through all of your tight spots...and you couldn't...you didn't repay me...you're my brother, Hunter.
Hunter: I know I am! But...I didn't---
Cage: You...like our parents...you forgot me...I was just...I was just your shadow...regardless of our shared blood...
Hunter: Yeah, I'm egotistical. We all are. I'm cocky too...but why did you have to fake your death?
Cage: Because...you don't appreciate me enough...
Hunter: I do! From the day I found out you had died to today, I have always mourned. Before every one of my matches I prayed for you. I asked your spirit to give me guidance...just like in the old days...I wanted your help. But, yeah, I guess you're right. Before I found out you were dead, I sort of did forget...
Cage: And now you know...
It hits Hunter like a bag of bricks.
Hunter: This was all to teach me a lesson?
Cage: No...this was for you to find yourself...you found out I was dead...you stopped being an asshole...you found...you found your true calling.
Hunter: Even in death you helped me.
Cage: Heh..."death" though it may have been...it wasn't supposed to end up...
Hunter: But why torture me? Why extend this so long? Why give me a gun?
Cage: I wanted to test your humanity...I wanted...to test...your love...
Hunter: ...and did I pass?
Cage: Besides the impalement...yeah, you did...
Hunter manages to chuckle in between his tears.
Cage: ...it wasn't meant to end like this...I didn't think you'd...the gun had blanks...
Hunter: You can't predict someone's reaction...I'm so sorry...
Cage: No...don't be...I realize it now...it's just as you said..."you learned...to be a better person...through my death"...
Hunter: But that doesn't mean I want you to STAY dead!
Cage: It's not your fault, Hunter...I took this...too far...I let my own obsession...I let it kill whatever we had left...
Hunter: ...it wasn't supposed to happen like this. If you had just told me it was you...you have no idea what I'd give for one more moment...
Cage: ...and here it is...
Hunter takes his brother's hand and the two squeeze with all of their might. Cage looks directly into Hunter's eyes.
Cage: ...I used to help you...help you out of tough spots...now...NOW...you can repay the favor...
Hunter: I...I don't...I don't want you to die...
Cage: If there's one thing that we know...if there is one thing that is certain...if there is one thing that history has taught us...it's that everyone dies...and there will always be at least one mourner...
Hunter: ...life...
Cage: ...no...fate...hold on Hunter...
He squeezes harder.
Cage: ...brother...we are not tools...we are not pawns...we are people...we think...we feel...if I teach you anything...anything at all...it's this...
He leans closer and whispers something into Hunter's ear. Hunter moves back and continues to attempt to hold back tears, but his attempts are not strong enough as he allows one tear to trick down his cheek.
Cage: ...Hunter...
Hunter: ...what?
Cage: ......never forget.
And with that, Cage's hand goes limp and his eyes close. His head tips over to his other side and his weight escapes him. His soul flies off to its final destination on a one-way flight. The Senator walks up to Hunter, who by this time cannot fight the tears at all, and puts a hand on his shoulder.
Senator: Come on...it is time to go...
This Hunter knows. He drops Cage's hand and looks at his brother one final time...one final time...and turns away. He hoped to God he would never have to experience this pain ever again. He prayed he would never have to watch a man die before his eyes. And yet...he did not get his wish. But in the end, isn't that what life is about? Broken promises?
Hunter: Goodbye...Cage...
And with those last words Hunter, the Senator, and the cameraman walk out into the Japanese night and look around, perhaps even attempting to catch a glimpse of Cage's soul. But alas, they see nothing. But at this point, Hunter cares not. He has discovered what he wanted to discover. And in the process he has discovered himself. Living is easier with your eyes closed. But what if you can't close them...and what if you never will? These questions that would usually be the first ones asked by Hunter are no longer asked. He knows what he needs to know. And in the end...that's all that matters.
The truth has set you free.
Fade to Black.
End of Show.
