It’s several seconds before anyone can move. Lying on the mat, both RDK and Daredevil stare up at the belt, it looks almost close enough to touch. DD pulls himself back to life first; he quietly realizes that he can’t sustain this sort of intensity for very much longer. The Untouchables pull together, all shouting and calling to DD, encouraging him to find what he needs to finish the match. DD gets up and looks at the ladder, then at RDK… and instead of climbing again, he heads over to his foe, and pulls him toward the corner. RDK tries to fight back, but DD absolutely will not be deterred; he gets to the top, and then amazes everyone with the Shellshock B from the top turnbuckle. In any normal match, a 3 count would surely be a formality… but this is no ordinary match, and no ordinary prize. DD pushes RDK out of the ring, and with a simple nod, initiates an all – out attack from the rest of the Untouchables. The referee looks uncomfortable, but there’s nothing he can do, and RDK is almost entirely hidden from view as DD staggers to the ladder and starts to climb, slowly, slowly, but surely. RDK is losing focus from the enormous barrage, and he catches a glimpse of DD climbing toward the prize… his heart starts to sink. It’s over….
But the crowd don’t think so; they are still chanting, still yelling, still willing him on. The way they always have done, through every match, win or lose. And at that moment RDK knows that they will always be there for him. He feels an overwhelming pride, coupled almost paradoxically with a surge of humility.
None of the Untouchables gets the slightest warning of what happens next; what can only be described as Hurricane Randy sends them all spiraling away from the epicenter as RDK explodes into a full on Macho attack. He grabs a ladder from the side of the ring, and rips through all the lumberjacks, Bubba – Ray style; the fans go bonkers, but RDK doesn’t have time to admire his handiwork. With the ladder still in hand, he slides into the ring; he drops the third ladder, and runs around to the opposite side of the standing one. DD is right at the top; he has a hand to the belt, and knowing he might already be too late, RDK prays that the third time is indeed a charm and throws all his weight at the ladder….
DD feels the title in his grasp, and tries to hold it as the ladder suddenly lurches. But the leather is too smooth, and DD takes a downward ride on the ladder express; his cry of fury is the only warning that the regrouped Untouchables get before-
CRASH. The ladder dumps DD right on top of his stablemates, easing his landing but doing little for them. The crowd whoops with delight, and RDK looks at the tangle of limbs with a gleam in his eyes.
RDK: OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOH YEAH, Brudahs!
The structural stability of the building is tested as RDK uses the ladder as a runway, dashing along it and launching into a Macho Moonsault that further crushes the lumberjacks. RDK quickly rolls away before any of them can get hold of him again… and DD strikes, cold anger and determination etched into his features. The Shellshock D is as terrifyingly powerful as it sounds; the crowd screams as RDK takes the impact on the outside, and the Untouchables all smirk as they slowly get up and view their fallen foe.

RThe crowd boos with incredible venom, but DD just laughs and taunts them all; he leaves the rest of the Untouchables on the outside, and rolls back into the ring, selecting the least damaged of the ladders to set up in the centre of the ring. All eyes are on DD as he climbs, aching with every limb movement; the fans don’t want to believe it, but it looks as if sheer force of numbers has won the day. Daredevil is only three or four rungs from the top when a blast of sound hits him; he glances downward, and is shocked to see RDK clawing his way up the other side! The rest of the Untouchables are in confusion below; in their eagerness to witness DD’s moment of triumph, they took their eyes off of RDK for just a moment, allowing him to silently crawl around the ring and enter from the other side. DD has a big head start and clambers to the top of the ladder; he doesn’t waste time, and grabs on to the belt, putting all his weight on the bindings. There is a creaking sound of wires and fixings giving way, and RDK turns a little pale as he hears this… he hauls himself up the last few feet, and jumps upward, clinging on to Daredevil and clipping the ladder with his foot as he goes so that it falls away. The fans scream again; DD shakes as violently as he can, for he has the belt in his grasp and will be victorious even if they both fall; RDK realizes this, and sees that he has just one tiny hope left. He pulls himself upward until he can grasp the wire itself – it cuts into his hands, but RDK ignores the pain. Hanging slightly higher than DD, he kicks at his foe’s head and shoulders; DD takes it, knowing he just has to hang on – but the effort is making him sweat, and making metal and leather slippery. The critical point is reached suddenly; there is a creak and a jerk as a support gives, and the crowd braces for the fall – but the jarring makes DD lose grip with his legs, and all the weight is put on his arms. Friction fails him, and with a cry of disbelief DD slides off of the belt; he plummets to the mat, and as he lands the support system gives up the fight, and RDK and the belt also fall, forcing DD to roll aside to avoid injury. RDK is holding the line just above the belt itself, and so he is easily able to take hold of the title; The referee, seeing it in his hands, waves his arms and the bell rings, sending both the Untouchables and the crowd into a frenzy, though for very different reasons.
The referee stands close to RDK; extra security has appeared quietly from the crowd, both to control any over enthusiastic fans and also to ensure that the lumberjacks don’t attempt to extend their remit. Knowing that this chance is gone, the Untouchables help Daredevil out of the ring… but both Daredevil and his associates know that there will be other shots at gold. They remain defiant as they exit, not heeding the crowd’s jeering, and probably already plotting how to wrest the title out of RDK’s ownership….
RDK notices none of this. His sense of hearing almost seems to be muted, and when he hears Philip’s voice over the sound system, it seems like a dream he’s had so many times before…
Philip: Here is your winner…. And NEW ACW WORLD CHAMPION, THE MACHO MAN, R-D-K!
There is not a dry eye in the arena, out front or backstage, as RDK slowly gets to his feet. Ten thousand words could not encapsulate the feelings that are flooding through everyone present. He runs a finger over the belt as the referee removes the unnecessary fixings, and then becomes aware of the stupendous noise all around him. “Clocks” by Coldplay starts up, and the noise just gets louder; RDK walks slowly from corner to corner, and raises the belt in the air to the fans; he’d thank them all by name if it were possible. Confetti scatters upon the scene, and it’s a highly emotional time for everyone… there were times when it seemed as if the Macho Man would go down in history as the greatest wrestler never to truly hold the World Title, but those are gone and forgotten in an instant.
The celebrations continue for a good 3 or 4 minutes before the editors cut to the final commercials, and everyone is left elated and in high spirits for the climax of the evening, and the crowning of the Emperor of the Ring….

Match 10: EOTR Final – Kudo vs Davey Marvel
The atmosphere is still electric as the arena is shown again; the crowd is crackling with energy, and they are ready to see ACW’s new emperor crowned. Prestigious as the World Title is, EOTR happens only once a year, and it is an accolade that few will ever possess to be declared the winner. A quick camera shot reveals that FSX has returned to the spare commentary position, and he gets a pop from the fans. There is a huge amount at stake, and everyone knows it, as Philip enters the ring for the final time.
Philip: Ladies and Gentlemen, this is our final contest of the evening, and second main event match… the 2005 Emperor of the Ring Grand Final!
The fans whoop and cheer.
Philip: The first competitor… from Ann Arbor, Michigan, he is a member of the Untouchables… the Michigan Madman, Davey Marvel!
There is a cascade of boos as Davey makes his way out; his expression is fixed in a cold, ruthless stare. This is his moment, his chance at real greatness, and he pushes previous events out of his mind; he has to exist purely in the here and now. “The leaving song part II” sounds distant to him as he gets into the ring, and he slowly removes his hoodie, tossing it to the outside. The atmosphere is thick with anticipation…
Philip: And his opponent, from Kyoto, Japan… Mr. K.O, Kudo Yasuda!
”Poison” hits, and Kudo walks out into a blaze of cheers and support from the crowd; he jogs to the ring, and circles around to receive a thumbs up from FSX before sliding into the ring. As soon as he and Davey’s eye meet, they stare one another down; the crowd gets even more hyped, and the ref has to repeat himself to be sure he’s been heard. As Philip exits, the staredown continues, and the referee decides that it’s best to get the match started while there is at least an element of uneasy calm.
Bell Rings.
The crowd makes itself heard with chants of “Kudo! Kudo!” as the camera gets a close up shot of the two competitors; they’ve both fought long and hard to get to this point, and the look in their eyes shows that neither has any intention of letting the prize go at this final hurdle. Kudo bounces lightly on his feet, while Davey has a more stable pacing action; they continue to move slowly closer, their eyes never leaving one another’s gaze, until suddenly Kudo snaps into action. He jumps forward and Davey comes under attack from a stream of blows, but the Michigan Madman is clued up on his opponent and backs away, keeping his arms in a defensive position until Kudo’s initial onslaught slackens just a little. Then he goes forward with all guns blazing, and the situation spins on its axis; Kudo has to protect himself from the hammering blows that Davey is raining down. The end result of the first minute or so is a general stalemate, and the fans watch enthralled, certain that they’re about to see a contest of uncommon quality between the established superstar and the white – hot relative newcomer. Davey is clearly still feeling considerable frustration after the World Title contest, and Kudo bears the brunt of this as Davey lets rip with a very fast gut kick to DDT combo; he makes the first pin of the contest, but it barely even gets to 1 before Kudo kicks out forcefully, and rolls back to his feet with retaliation immediately on his mind. Davey hops up too, and as Kudo initiates a grapple, Davey pushes him away and pivots behind; he grabs Kudo for a german suplex, but Kudo uses his Kangaroo kick to flip free, and then sets about Davey with a string of snapping kicks to the ribs and abdomen that are almost blurred with speed.
Fallen Souls: I don't remember the last time I saw something that amazing...oh wait! I do, that would be in my match against AK earlier. That. Good.
Davey has two choices – to engage or retreat, and he emphatically sets out his stall by hurling himself into a spear takedown out of nowhere, bringing both men down on to the mat. There is confusion for a few seconds as they scrap for supremacy…
Maxwell McNally: Marvel’s taking a chance here; Kudo’s matwork is some of the best in ACW.
FSX: You don’t have to remind me, McNally. Watch this.
“Fast” Eddie Edison: He’s right. Kudo looks like he’s getting the best of this…
Kudo has indeed taken the upper hand; he has the camel clutch applied, and is doing his best to wrench back on Davey’s neck in a most painful manner.
Fallen Souls: Untouchable? I don't think so.
Davey tries to prise Kudo off, but to no avail; his only option is to inch toward the ropes, and though Kudo can’t hold him down completely, he makes the whole exercise as costly as possible. When Davey does finally get the rope break, he gets up with sweat streaming down his face, and Kudo can also detect a hint of stiffness in his back quite possibly picked up in the melee of the lumberjack match. Kudo wastes no time in capitalizing on this new information; he cranks up the speed, and outpaces Davey, getting behind him and planting kicks into the base of his spine. The crowd cheers loudly, but this just seems to infuriate Davey more, and he spins around, grasps Kudo’s arm, and whips him into the ropes. Kudo ricochets back; Davey’s spinebuster, while not the most complex move ever, is delivered with such pent-up rage that Kudo’s eyes snap open wide on impact as the force travels through his body. With his anger working for him, Davey jumps up, and goes straight for Kudo’s legs, stamping on knee and calf as Kudo fights his way back to his feet. Kudo delivers a couple of fierce elbows as he tries to regain control, but Davey shakes them off and legsweeps Kudo back to the mat. With haste he applies a standard Texas Cloverleaf, rather than his trademark high rise version; the ref checks on Kudo as the pair struggle, but Davey’s intention is not to secure the tap – out, he knows Kudo is not yet weak enough for that. Instead he keeps the hold in for around 45 seconds until Kudo threatens to reverse it; Kudo does his best to show no weakness, but he is a little slower getting up, and Davey can see that he’s slowly handicapping Kudo against using his most powerful moves.

Kudo hears FSX shouting to him over the din of the crowd (the audience at home would be getting a serious headache at this point if the producers hadn’t wisely turned the volume down on his headset temporarily). He straightens up, and looks Davey in the eye; Davey stares back, and then the pair come at one another afresh, shifting across the ring as they swap strikes. Punches turn into a grapple; Davey piles on the pressure and shoves Kudo back into a corner, where he knees him in the gut several times until Kudo kicks back, and then delivers a facebuster on to his upheld knee. The fans wince at the impact; Davey staggers back, and Kudo springs from the second rope into a lightning spiral dropkick that gets a big pop.
"Fast" Eddie Edison: DAAAANN—
Fallen Souls: GEEERRROOUUSSSS!!
"Fast" Eddie Edison: Hey!
Fallen Souls: Shut up, Eddie!
He dives into the pin, and gets close to the 2 count; Davey tries a surprise attack, and attempts to roll Kudo over into a pin of his own, but Kudo keeps the pair of them moving until they drop off the ring edge. Immediately, Kudo is up; he jumps on to the apron and goes for a headscissors takedown, but Davey dodges it and Kudo rolls into the security barriers, slightly bashing his head in the process. With his foe trapped against another obstruction, Davey puts his boot in multiple times, and then backs off, moving back into the ring; Kudo gets up and approaches, but Davey tries to keep him out – a win is a win, and Davey isn’t choosy about how he gets it. The ploy fails, however, as Kudo is too fast on his feet – he outflanks Davey, and as he gets on to the ropes Davey rushes over to meet him. Without thinking it through, he gets too close – and gives Kudo the perfect chance to execute an Avalanche K.O. Exploder, to great cheers from the fans; Kudo makes a cover and gets another 2 count, much to FSX’s annoyance.
Fallen Souls: Ever met a blind man before? Want me to introduce you to Raymond Fleming? Should I throw a little dinner party for all you idiots? I don't care how much experience you have or how many years you've done this, no one botches a three count! KUDO WINS is what people should be screaming right now! But no, we have to wait now! Either way, 5 more minutes of entertainment for me.
Maxwell McNally: Kudo’s burning this ring up all over the place! But can he sustain the charge? Davey’s got stamina to match the best of them.
Davey uses the ropes to assist himself as he gets up after breaking the pin; Kudo stalks him, and the fans get louder as he breaks into a run to clothesline Davey down – but Davey steels himself, and surprises everyone by withstanding the attack so that Kudo collides with him and bounces off. Kudo’s concentration is broken for just a second, and Davey exploits it masterfully; he hits Kudo with a dropkick to the face that gets a spectacular amount of air and totally messes with Kudo’s sense of direction. He’s unable to react in time as Davey throws him into the ropes; he swings Kudo up as he returns, and delivers the Davey Driver ’04 (DVD). Kudo gets up as quickly as he can, but Davey’s only halfway through his plan; he sends Kudo to the ropes again, and then “updates” everyone with the Davey Driver ’05 (toss to Northern Lights Suplex). This time, he makes a cover, and gets a solid 2 count; the fans boo, but Davey ignores them and methodically gets back to his feet. Realizing that he’s losing ground, Kudo backs off; Davey, however, has no intention of allowing him to recover, and steams in with a flurry of left and right hooks that earn him a warning from the referee for closed hands. Not perturbed in the least, Davey gets Kudo in a headlock, setting up the exsanguination – but Kudo rallies, and wrenches himself free before applying a side headlock of his own, and proceeding to knee Davey over and over again in the gut until he sinks to his knees. As soon as this happens, Kudo breaks off and delivers a crushing kick to the head that almost rotates Davey’s head all the way around in a circle; he finishes the sequence with a Brainbuster, with predictable results.
McNally, Edison, FSX, Crowd, entire population in a 5 mile radius: BRAAAIINBUSTAHHHHH!!!!

Kudo pins, and gets just slightly more than a 2 count; FSX thumps the desk in frustration, and Davey pulls himself back up to his feet, now with a smirk starting to creep on to his face. He can sense the tension in Kudo now; he just hopes that Kudo isn’t equally picking up on the same thing in him. Psychology, of course, takes you only so far in wrestling (otherwise Freud and Piaget would probably have headlined early championship bouts), and the fisticuffs resumes; the pair track across the ring to the ropes, and Davey again chances a solid punch before lifting Kudo up and dropping him over the top rope. He perfectly finishes the 2 Minutes to Midnight with a guillotine leg drop, and the fans roar in warning as Davey goes for the Midnight itself… but Kudo somehow dives out of the way, and Davey’s move fails to connect. Davey looks about ready to throw a huge hissy fit, but controls his temper and so just manages to evade Kudo as he goes for the Roaringiri. The near misses get the crowd even more hyped up; they shout and scream, mostly in support of Kudo, but with Davey’s hard core of fans adding a counterpoint to all the anti – Untouchables sentiments. Both men stand and face one another, and the desire in their eyes is unmistakable; they rush at one another, and the crowd yells out again as they collide powerfully, each blocking the other’s move.
Maxwell McNally: OHHH MYYYY GOOOOD!
Fallen Souls : That some kind of Sooner calling?
Maxwell McNally: What are you talking about? I'm from Rhode Island.
Fallen Souls: Oh right, this is ACW, All this screaming distracted me.
More punches and kicks are delivered as the two men look for a window of opportunity, and Davey gets one first when Kudo puts just a little too much spin on a kick which Davey sidesteps. With his foe facing away from him, Davey tries for the Crouching Tiger… but Kudo breaks away in the nick of time. It’s only a temporary respite, however, as Davey goes after Kudo before he can move completely away, and performs an Atomic Knee Drop followed by a rapid powerbomb and pin attempt. 1….2… - Kudo kicks, but it was a close run thing.
Maxwell McNally: They’re getting closer to the 3 count every time, but neither man looks ready to quit, Eddie.
“Fast” Eddie Edison: I don’t think they know the meaning of the word, Max. Kudo looks to be taking more damage at the moment… can Davey exploit this apparent weakness?
FSX: Weakness? You two really are short sighted, sometimes. Kudo’s got this one completely under control!
FSX’s statement isn’t entirely corroborated by the look on his face, and the crowd share his concern; Davey seems to be getting more confident, even though fatigue is starting to make itself felt in every inch of his body. He signals to the fans with a thumbs down gesture, and then hurls himself at the ropes; Kudo prepares to meet him, but Davey’s roaring elbow delivers a shock to Kudo’s system, and Kudo’s world spins for a moment. Davey is beside him at once, and he sets up the Downer… but before he can lift his foe, Kudo revives and thrashes free, kicking Davey in the chest so that he staggers backward a few paces. With all the speed he can muster in his tired limbs, Kudo rushes around and makes the crowd go ballistic as he locks in the Blackout.
FSX: Yes, YES! You got him now Kudo! Just hold on!!
”Fast” Eddie Edison: THIS COULD BE IT!!
The sound is extraordinarily loud as the intense battle of wills is played out in the ring; Kudo is wide eyed, putting everything he has into the move. Davey struggles hard, but at this stage of the match every second is costly, and he isn’t helped by the fans screaming at him to give in. The referee checks his condition closely as Kudo silently wills his opponent to submit… but then somehow Davey finds something deep within himself, and starts to fight back with twice the fire. The tension is incredible, the fans’ hearts racing as they become totally caught up in the struggle, and then some critical point is reached, and Davey finally breaks Kudo’s hold after about 2 minutes. Kudo looks stunned, and Davey is too exhausted to taunt; they know that they are both reaching their limits, and that victory or defeat must come soon…
“Fast” Eddie Edison: What is left of these men after such a hard fought day?!
Maxwell McNally: This is the final match of EOTR. This is the culmination of both these superstars’ hard work throughout this tournament! We will crown a new Emperor here tonight!

Kudo’s mind is made up in a flash; this has to end, and he must be the one to do it. Kudo lunges forward for a Yakuza Knee strike but Davey instinctively dodges it and instead locks Kudo’s arms behind him.
“Fast” Eddie Edison: We all know this move!
His chest still heaving, Davey elevates and delivers a tiger suplex to Kudo, arms still locked around. Maxwell McNally: Crouching Tiger…
Davey rolls back over Kudo and reshifts his arm positions into a full nelson and nails the dragon suplex!
“Fast” Eddie Edison: …HIDDEN DRAAAAAAGON!!!!!!!
Davey doesn’t hold the move for a bridging pin but instead tries to get back up. Kudo though, almost inhumanly, is back again on his feet before even Davey himself, and locks in Davey’s right arm back in a Tiger hold, and his left arm in a Dragon half nelson hold and with all his might, delivers a suplex back at lightning speed!! It hits so fast that the referee did not even have enough time to react, and so instead he goes down after getting hit by a stray foot from Davey during the suplex.
“Fast” Eddie Edison: YIN…YAAANG….SUUUUUUUPLEX!!!!!!
Maxwell McNally: My goodness, it’s almost like that move is Kudo’s answer to Davey’s!
“Fast” Eddie Edison: Another adrenaline rush by Kudo! It’s almost as if he delays the damage of the move he was hit with. Similar in style to his match with Hitman!! DAAAAAANGERRRROUS!!!!
Kudo and Davey, both on the ground almost non moving as the fans are now on their feet delivering a standing ovation. The cheers from the fans seem to be enough to will both men back to their feet. The referee is still knocked out however, and though Kudo attempts to drape an arm over Davey, he realizes that this would be futile. As Davey is still down, Kudo crawls over to the referee and tries to wake him.
FSX: Oh come on! Someone get a replacement down here NOW! This is a joke!
The referee starts to stir, but Kudo doesn’t have time to stay with him; Davey is hauling himself back up to his feet. Kudo acts at once; this time, the Yakuza knee connects, and Davey collapses… Kudo covers, but the referee is still not in a condition to count, and Davey kicks out anyway. As the two men get up, Davey is marginally in front, and knocks Kudo down with a clubbing blow; the fans howl with anger as Davey pulls off the Garrote… but now the tables are turned, and though the ref tumbles into a count, the delay gives Kudo enough time to get his shoulder up on the cusp of 3.
Maxwell McNally: My God….what will it take to finish this match? I can hardly watch!
The crowd is going mental as Kudo and Davey slowly get up. Kudo is slightly ahead, and throws Davey into the corner; the two men start to climb, and the fans realize that this really is it, the final throw of the dice. Precariously balanced, the two seem to struggle for what seems like an age, and then Davey stuns Kudo with a crushing left hook; the fans scream to Kudo for a response, and he doesn’t let them down; he punches Davey right back, preventing him from taking hold, and jumps into a top rope hurricanrana….
….and Davey plays his last card; he reverses the move into a top rope Garotte whilst both men are in the air, delivering the Styles Clash finish from a mighty height. The impact is colossal, on both men… but somehow Davey makes a pin. The referee counts….
1….
2…
3.
“Fast” Eddie Edison: It’s OVAH!
FSX: NOOOOO! It’s not possible…
Maxwell McNally: What an end to this match…I can’t even begin to perceive what just happened here.
Neither can the fans; the noise is extraordinary as Philip announces the result
Philip: Here is your winner… and ACW Emperor of the Ring 2005, DAVEY MARVEL!!

“Fast” Eddie Edison: What an amazing match that was! These two certainly put on a show for these fans. Just listen to this ovation!!!
Indeed, the fans are on their feet clapping and whistling and making all kinds of cheering noise as the two men get back up on their feet after a hard fought match. The referee brings the spectacular trophy, and presents it to Davey; the fans’ response is mixed as they boo him for the Untouchables’ behaviour, but a small but vocal group cheer for their hero and for the undeniable quality of the match. Davey celebrates, holding up the trophy and circling the ring as photographers take publicity pictures. Then, in the midst of all the noise, flashes of light and confetti, he sees that Kudo is still in the ring, waiting… and the fans see him too, and a chant of “KU – DO, KU – DO” starts up as well.
Maxwell McNally: What an emotion ride Kudo has gone through….
“Fast” Eddie Edison: The fans love this guy, even if he couldn’t quite finish the job here tonight.
Davey puts down his trophy. Kudo walks toward him, the tiredness of defeat clear to see, but he holds out a hand to his opponent. Davey hesitates for quite some time, but eventually does the decent thing and accepts the handshake, to a huge ovation from the fans.
Maxwell McNally: A brilliant display of sportsmanship here.
“Fast” Eddie Edison: Give me a tissue Max, I’m tearing up here…
The crowd’s cheering does not yield even a little bit as Davey turns to leave. He turns around, his hand still grasped with Kudo’s but turning his head he sees not only FSX, who has moved from his position at the commentary desk, but Bre Double T and Jearus now standing behind him. Davey looks puzzled but before he can even react, Kudo snaps back his arm and pulls him back and delivers a vicious kneeing low blow.
Maxwell McNally: WHAT THE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The crowd lets out an “OOOOOOOOOOOOOH” as Davey drops to his knees and Kudo grasps his face then pushes it down on the floor in a big display of what seems like cockiness. The three men then proceed to pick Davey up and toss him out of the ring like a rag doll. Jearus and Bre take out a flag and hand it to Kudo as he waves it around for the crowd as most begin to boo him. The flag clearly shows the words “ARMADA” again.
Maxwell McNally: I think we just found out what the Armada is today Eddie…
“Fast” Eddie Edison: Indeed…
Kudo then unhooks the flag from the pole and wraps it around his shoulders as he and the other members of the Armada take their place atop each corner turnbuckle and pose for the crowd. They get a mixed reaction but it’s still very loud and nearly muffles out all other sounds.
Maxwell McNally: Eddie, this has been a crazy event. Just what have we witnessed here tonight?
“Fast” Eddie Edison: We finally know what those headbands mean now that Kudo has been wearing the past few weeks. I guess it shouldn’t have been such an unforeseen outcome…
Maxwell McNally: What a show of disrespect to Marvel though. He surely isn’t going to take this lying down!
Max couldn’t be more correct; at that very moment, the place goes bananas as the rest of the Untouchables burst out of the back, Ginger’s rule having expired with the bell for the final match. The Armada regroup and defend themselves, and an almighty scrap breaks out; there’s the sound of someone getting whacked with the EOTR trophy amidst the chaos, and then finally the two groups divide, the Untouchables on the outside, and the Armada within the ring. Davey holds his head, but raises up his trophy in one hand and is lifted on to the shoulders of his compatriots. He yells defiantly at Kudo and the rest as the Untouchables back off, knowing that the odds are not with them tonight. But they’ve made their point in emphatic style….
Maxwell McNally: This is unbelievable, Eddie. It looks like ACW just entered a brand new period of stable warfare!
“Fast” Eddie Edison: I think you’re right, Max. Folks, the show’s over… but a new battle’s just getting started. Join us on Meltdown to see what comes of all this, but for now, thanks and good night!
The show comes to an end with a shot of the Untouchables celebrating. They’ve proved beyond all doubt that they’re a force to be reckoned with, but it looks like that reckoning is going to be explosive indeed.
ACW has its new emperor… but can his stable now claim another throne, as ACW top dogs? Or will the Armada crush all resistance?
What does all this mean for the rest of the fed?
Will the new World Champion be able to protect his gold against the rising tide of opposition?
Tune in the Meltdown….
Fade to Black.
End of Show.
OOC Note: Thanks to Kudo for providing material for the ending, and to FSX for the commentary on both of Kudo's matches.

Great, great show. The matches were really top notch and AK once again did a wonderful job compiling it together. Grats to RDK for another era of world championship machomania and Hunter for becoming the new leader of the Senatorial stable. And a special congratulations to Davey for finally stopping what appeared to be a reign of dare I say, "Kudoberg" in the recent weeks. Couldn't have gone to a more deserving person. Enjoy it.
