Post by Alicia "Atomic" Kitsune on Oct 16, 2004 13:59:19 GMT -5
It’s a cool autumn evening outside the ACW arena, but inside the atmosphere is heady and charged with a thousand emotions, hopes and dreams. Those with the exceptional reflexes needed to dial the ticket order line quickly enough, and those able to fund the ludicrously high scalper prices for resale tickets, are crammed into the arena almost to the rafters. Indeed they’re the lucky ones, as seating capacity is down a little on recent events. The cause of this is immediately obvious to those now looking toward the ACW ring; the area at ringside has been widened by about 3 feet on all sides, and in each of the four corners there is now a massive, solid steel supporting column; a number of seats have been removed in a kind of “X” shape so that everyone who remains has an unobstructed view of the ring. The roofspace is shrouded in shadow, but in excited tones the fans debate what could be concealed at that lofty height. ACW is famed for its constant innovation and use of custom built structures, which have borne witness to some of the most extraordinary and memorable matches ever seen anywhere. Will these fans tonight be present at another of those matches, an event of which they will boast in years to come, “I was there”?
For now, these questions will have to wait. The crew are making their final ring checks, and Philip straightens out his jacket backstage, waiting for his cue to emerge and send the fans into orbit……

Match 1: Fallensouls vs Champion GooeyGarth – ACW Junior Title Match (Credit: Latino)
The wait is over, and Philip is as keen as anyone else to get things started; he strides out through the curtain, down to the ring, and looks about him and twirls the mic in his hand before speaking.
Phillip: This first bout is scheduled for one fall and it is for the ACW Junior Title!
”Boldly Going Nowhere” by Ark Endon starts playing as FallenSouls walks through the curtains. He receives a range of boos from the crowd but none of it phases him. He just yells at a few fans in the front row telling them they are looking at the next Junior Champion.
Phillip: Coming to the ring from Soul Universe, Seoul, South Korea, the challenger…FallenSouls!
FSX has just reached the ring when “Word Up” by KoRn starts playing as the fans erupt in cheers and the first massive pop of the night. Gooey comes out of the backstage area with a ton of adrenaline rushing through his veins. He slaps hands with many different fans and then stops to look at Fallen standing in the ring. The two men stare each other down as Gooey makes his way inside the ring.
Phillip: Coming to the ring the ACW Junior Champion…..Gooey…Garth!!
No further buildup is needed, and the ref rings the bell without any delay whatsoever.
The match starts off at a quick pace as both tie up performing a test of strength. Neither man can get an advantage over the other and they both back off. The fans start cheering “Gooey! Gooey!” loudly causing a vibration to go off throughout the entire arena. Gooey stands there smiling playing off to the crowd. Fallen can’t believe this and with Gooey’s back turned clotheslines him. He kicks him in the stomach and then stands him up, body slamming him back onto the mat. FSX runs to the ropes and performs an old-school legdrop over the throat of Gooey. Fallen goes for an early pin but Gooey kicks out much before the ref counts two. Fallen grabs Gooey and pulls off a vertical suplex as both bodies come crashing to the mat. Fallen stands back up yelling at the fans as he receives more heat from the crowd. Gooey grabs onto the ropes slowly standing up. Gooey bounces off the ropes and dropkicks Fallen from the back sending him over the top rope to the outside mats. Garth climbs the turnbuckles and jumps off with an axe handle smash to the face of Fallen. Both men are laid out on the outside mats as the ref starts his count at ONE. Gooey is the first to start to move as he Irish whips FSX into the steel steps. Gooey runs in with a Big Boot to the face but Fallen ducks grabbing Gooey in the process. He slams him down almost in a spinebuster fashion. The ref now starts counting to FOUR. FSX performs a knee drop to the face of Gooey causing him to roll around in pain. Fallen rolls into the ring and comes back out to break the ref’s count. He picks up Gooey and performs a Snake Eyes to the outside barrier. He tries to run Gooey’s face headfirst into the turnbuckle post but Gooey reverses it sending FSX headfirst.
Gooey grabs Fallen and gives him a piledriver on the outside mats as the ref has just counted SIX. Fallen is rolled inside the ring as Gooey climbs the turnbuckle from the outside. He poses for the crowd as he gets another huge pop from the crowd. He pulls out an old school Jimmy Snuka pose and dives off the turnbuckle for a SuperFly Snuka Splash onto FallenSouls. Gooey goes for the pin 1…2….and a kick out just at the last second by FSX. None of the fans can believe this as they loudly boo what has just happened. Gooey looks at the ref himself in disbelief but the ref reassures him that it was a two count. Gooey picks up Fallen struggling to get him in position for Emerald Fusion but FSX breaks out of it and pushes Gooey towards the ropes. As he runs back to FSX he is back body dropped. Fallen stands tall waiting for Gooey. He slowly gets up in a daze as FSX runs in with a spear but Gooey jumps out of the way. Gooey runs and tries for a reverse DDT but Fallen counters it with a jawbreaker. Gooey goes down to one knee. Fallen picks him up putting him in position for the Soul Transfer. He slams him hard as it ends with an Emerald Fusion of his own. FSX goes for the pin 1….2….KICKOUT by Gooey! No one can believe that he actually kicked out. The fans are going crazy and FSX is yelling at the ref telling him that was a full count. The ref says no and goes to tend to Gooey. FSX snaps; he goes outside an slides the Junior title inside the ring without the ref seeing. He then grabs a chair and rushes inside the ring ready to attack Gooey. The ref stops him grabbing the chair. FSX and the ref are arguing in the ring but the ref tells him he can’t use it. As the ref turns around to dispose of the chair FSX grabs the title and rams it into the face of Gooey as he gets up knocking him unconscious. FSX quickly goes for the pin throwing the belt to the outside as he calls for the ref. 1...2…3! FallenSouls wins! FallenSouls has become the new ACW Junior Champion!
Phillip: “Here is your winner and NEW ACW Junior Champion….FallenSouls!
Fallen stands in the middle of the ring overjoyed over his first title win; Gooey is just about sitting up as Fallen leaves, belt in hand and delighting in taunting the crowd with it. Gooey stands at the ropes and yells after Fallen……and in doing so misses the approach of Hunter and Cage from the crowd. The crowd sees them and their shouting makes Gooey swing around, just a touch too late – he blocks a punch from Cage, but Hunter gets behind him and hits him in the back with a chair.Gooey staggers, and Hunter smiles nastily and hits Gooey again – this time at full force on the head. Gooey’s knees buckle and his eyes glaze over as he falls, but the brothers aren’t finished; Cage picks Gooey up and delivers the Rage just to be certain that they’ve achieved their goal. Then with the crowd hugely upset, they hurry backstage to finish preparing for their match…..which now looks to be considerably easier than originally intended.

Segment: No going back (Credit: Hunter)
The camera shot fades into Chairman Gingerdude's office. JonnyG stands behind Gingerdude's desk with a worried look on his face. Gingerdude sits behinds his desk, scratching his chin.
Gingerdude: I'm sorry, but it's too late.
Jonny: Are you kidding me? You can't honestly tell me to go out there.
Gingerdude: The match was signed, and it says in the contract that it will continue by any means necessary.
Jonny: Are you sure Gooey can fight?
Gingerdude: He's in the hospital, you tell me.
Jonny: But-
Gingerdude: I'm sorry, but this conversation is over. And you've got a match next: Hunter and Cage vs. JonnyG is now a handicap match!
Jonny; But-
Gingerdude: Jonny, please don’t make me call security.
Jonny turns around and walks out the door. He looks down the hall and frowns. The camera follows his glance and we can see Hunter and Cage grinning.
Hunter: See you in the ring.
Hunter and Cage turn around and walk away. Jonny looks at them angrily, then slowly turns around and walks away.
Back in his office, Ginger sighs; he takes out his phone and looks at it for a second, and then presses a speed dial number. He listens as a voice answers it.
Ginger: Yes, it’s me…….when will you be here?
Ginger listens, but we can’t hear what’s being said.
Ginger: All right. We won’t speak again….you have your instructions. I sincerely hope I’m paying you for nothing, but should the need arise….I’m counting on you.
Ginger flips his phone closes and pockets it; his expression is one of tension mixed with a steely determination.
Ginger: The die is cast…..now it’s in their hands.
Fade Out.

Segment: Mirror, Mirror……
The shot fades into a dimly lit room, the only source of illumination is a number of flickering candles. AK sits cross – legged on the floor, still in her street clothes and holding her arms up with her eyes closed, deeply focused and breathing slowly. After a moment or two all the candles flicker for a second, and AK turns her head a little to one side.
AK: So you’re here.
The room is silent and still.
AK: Come to see me get myself taken apart, have you?
A gentle, ethereal voice wells up, just on the point of audibility.
Voice: You have always made your own decisions, whether I agree with them or not.
There’s a pause, and AK opens her eyes slowly.
AK: I’m not even 100% sure why I’m doing this myself. It just feels….I don’t know, like it has to be done.
Voice: Then you must follow that instinct…..I have directed you all I can. You have been granted the gift of the black nine – tail…..that of calm mind…..everything else is in your hands.
AK nods slowly; she’s still in a relaxed state from her meditations, but she has a question she needs to ask.
AK: Ishizu…..you remember we talked about dreams…..well, the last few weeks, I’ve started having a new one….and it’s about Ridley. He walks toward a mirror, and stares at it, and then….it’s so strange, because he’s afraid, really afraid of what’s reflected. But I can’t ever seem to recall what it is that terrifies him so – and this dream just won’t go away, I seem to be having it every night. I need to know, what does it mean?
Again there is silence in the room.
AK: Is it that you can’t tell me……or that you won’t tell me? Why can’t I ever remember what it is that he sees, yet I wake up in a cold sweat?
There’s another, long pause.
Voice: Alicia…..please trust me, if I were to tell you now…..it would not be for the best. You must put all your concentration into this match now, for your entire future hangs upon it.
AK: But please, I know it’s important……
Voice: All I can say is that your foe is about to discover something previously hidden about himself, and that this will make him far, far more dangerous than he has ever been before. Your dream is a warning to you, a last chance to back down….but I know you have already rejected it, in your heart….oh, if only humans were not so stubborn!
The voice is starting to sound distressed, and it chills AK; she shudders a little. Carefully she gets up, blowing out the candles until only one is left. Then, she stops…..
AK: Ishizu…..do I…..am I…..really like him?
Voice: You both have……potential. But always remember, what you do with that is your choice, and his too…..you will only be defined by others if you allow yourself to be.
AK looks at the candle, watching the flame, and its light dances in her eyes, reflecting her own inner spark.
AK: Then tonight……whatever happens to me physically, I will redraw myself……. in lines that neither Ridley nor history can erase.
She blows out the candle and the scene abruptly goes to black.

Match 2: Hunter and Cage vs JonnyG – Handicap Match (Credit: White Rose)
After they witnessed the fate of GooeyGarth earlier in the night, the fans are not even sure if this match should go ahead and if it does, can JonnyG succeed alone?
Philip: Ladies and Gentleman, this match is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, from Rochester, New York, please welcome Cage and Hunter!
"Won’t Back Down" hits and Cage and Hunter come out to the collective boos and jeers of the fans. They walk down the aisle with purpose and they exude confidence and cockiness. As they enter the ring, it is apparent by the look on their faces that they don’t think JonnyG will show up. The crowd stops booing as Philip begins to speak.
Philip: And next, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, please welcome JonnyG!
"In The End" hits and JonnyG runs down the ramp and does not show fear as he slides in the ring and begins to charge towards his foes, the Referee calls for the bell and Philip quickly exits the ring.
Bell Rings.
JonnyG wastes no time and charges his nearest foe, who happens to be Hunter, JonnyG takes him down to the mat and punches wildly before Cage knocks him off. Cage hits JonnyG with some iron right hands and then whips him against the ropes and on his rebound, JonnyG is hit with a double clothesline. The referee attempts to take control over the match and orders Hunter to take his corner or risk disqualification. With the match now moving forward by handicap rules, JonnyG and Cage swap punches evenly until Cage gets in a forceful kick and follows it up with a effective DDT. Cage goes for the quick win and the referee counts 1…..2, but JonnyG reveals he still have quite a bit of fight left in him. The fans cheer for JonnyG loudly as they realize his determination at fighting against the odds. JonnyG struggles to his feet where Cage hits him with a modified T Bone suplex. Cage then tags his brother Hunter in and Hunter stalks him from behind, waits for him to rise, and hits him with a vicious bulldog. Hunter goes for a very nonchalant pin and the referee counts 1….2.., but JonnyG kicks out yet again. Hunter and Cage both exchange a glare of frustration and communicate a plan. Hunter picks JonnyG up and throws him out of the ring. JonnyG lands on his back and tries to sit up, but falls back down writhing in pain. Hunter stays on the inside and gets into a rather loud discussion with the referee, all the while Cage is on a collision course with JonnyG. Cage charges JonnyG as he gets to his feet and then he pushes him head first into the steel steps. Hunter ceases his conversation with the dumbfounded referee (dumb being the operative word, of course) and Cage quickly retreats back to his corner as the crowd boos loudly.
Hunter goes on the outside and puts the boots to JonnyG, who is down on the ground clutching his skull. In an impressive feat of strength, Hunter picks JonnyG up and goes to ram him head first into the steel post, but at the last second, JonnyG slides out and pushes Hunter forward, ramming his head into the post. The fans cheer loudly but his offense does not end there, as Hunter tuns around staggering, he is hit by an excellently executed northern lights suplex. JonnyG gets to his feet quickly and puts the boots to the downed Hunter. The referee counts to nine and then JonnyG quickly enters and exits the ring to restart the count. JonnyG renews his boots to Hunter, but not for long, as Cage comes from behind and hits JonnyG with a stiff, unforgiving, and completely vicious clothesline. JonnyG falls to the ground and the fans boo him loudly. Cage slides Hunter into the ring and then slides JonnyG into the ring as well, before going back to his corner. Hunter begins to stir a little and he slowly crawls towards his corner. JonnyG is obviously very dazed and he begins to crawl towards his corner in an attempt to make a tag, a tag that is impossible to make. Hunter makes the tag and the crowd chants "Hunter Sucks", Cage runs in the ring and locks in the devastating Camel Clutch on JonnyG as he crawls across the ring.
Cage locks in the move and wrenches JonnyG’s neck back yelling for him to tap. JonnyG struggles repeatedly and does not cease to struggle until the hold has been locked in for quite a while. Slowly, but surely, JonnyG ceases to struggle and the pain wrenching through his body causes him to scream out in pain. The fans who have been inspired by JonnyG’s valiant fight thus far begin to clap loudly and the more they clap the more JonnyG begins to fight on and crawls faster and stronger than ever before and finally in one last gasp of strength, he makes it to the ropes and the crowd erupts in cheers. Cage releases the hold and goes to make a quick tag to Hunter, then Cage charges back towards JonnyG, who is still on the ground, but at the last second, JonnyG grabs Cage and sends him flying threw the middle rope. JonnyG jumps to his feet and begins to attack the oncoming Hunter with furious right hands. Hunter tries to block the punches, but JonnyG has got a second wind and Irish Whips Hunter into a perfect Powerslam. JonnyG picks Hunter up and kicks him in the stomach, setting him up for the Powerbomb, but suddenly he is hit by a flying dropkick form behind by Cage knocking him down to the mat. When JonnyG is knocked off of him, Hunter gets to his feet and he and Cage pick JonnyG up and hit him with a double suplex. They don’t go for the pin there; instead they pick him up and quickly drop him with a double brain buster. Hunter covers and the referee counts 1……2…., but JonnyG kicks out and the crowd erupts with cheers. Hunter motions towards Cage and gives the boots to JonnyG and drags him towards the middle of the ring. Cage then climbs his corner turnbuckle and Hunter climbs the diagonally opposing turnbuckle. The two give a sick smile towards each other and they jump off and camera’s flash as they hit JonnyG with a double elbow drop. Hunter covers again, but with more aggression and the referee counts 1…….2…….3. The referee raises Hunter and Cage’s hands and calls for the bell.
Bell Rings
Philip: Here are your winners by Pinfall, Hunter and Cage!
Hunter and Cage each have a smug, bordering on sinister look on their faces. As JonnyG tries to get to his feet they push him back down and exit the ring heading towards the back. After a few seconds of lying in the ring and looking frustrated, JonnyG gets to his feet and begins to limb towards the back in defeat, but the fans cheer him without reserve, genuinely deeply impressed, and this makes him feel a quite a bit better.

Crossing Paths (Credit: BK London)
On the titantron, the shot cuts to the parking lot where a car rapidly swerves into view. Innocent bystanders dive out of the way of the moving car and finally the car stops. The door swings open and BK London steps out and the crowd goes wild. He picks up his sports bag and starts on his way to his locker room; However, as he passes the main lobby he catches the eye of a certain champion, and it is none other than the World Champion Skurai.
Skurai: So if it isn't BK London? Heh, How was that trip Latino sent you on BK?
BK London stares at Skurai and begins to walk away but Skurai rushes in front of him.
Skurai: What's wrong BK, don't like what I said? You know what BK, Latino was right, you are a little bitch.
BK becomes infuriated and he forms his hand into a fist but he stops and calms down. BK then returns to walking away. But Skurai steps back in front of him and again they lock eyes.
Skurai: Who do you think you are? RESPECT your WORLD Champion!
BK: You know what Skurai, you talk a lot of shit. A WHOLE lot of shit. But let’s see how much shit you talk on Meltdown.
Skurai: Meltdown, what's happening on Meltdown?
BK: Well, it just so happened that since I was never actually beaten for the Entertainment Title, Ginger has promised that on the Meltdown after Samhain, if I can beat you, Skurai, I can face the champion, whoever it may be, for the World Championship.
Skurai: Wha-Wha-What?
BK: That of course assumes there’s anything of you left to fight on Meltdown…..I will be watching you very closely Skurai. Very closely.
London smiles coolly and walks away, leaving Skurai with another problem to worry about.
Fade Out.

Match 3: Daredevil vs “Surion” (Opening / Ending events credit: Surion)
The third contest may be one of the earlier entries on the card, but it has been one of the most hotly debated matches on the internet in the run up to the show. Some bookmakers have even been offering odds on the identity of Daredevil’s “tutor”; these include RDK (6 to 1), Ridley (10 to 1) and at the more eccentric end of things, Asmodeus (100 to 1), Sylvian Mint (150 to 1) and even Vince Russo (5000 to 1). The mystery is about to be solved, and the fans hush a little as Philip enters the ring.
Philip: This match is a singles match, set for one fall. Introducing first, from Cardiff, Wales…..Daredevil!
”Mission Impossible” hits, and DD emerges into the spotlights; his fanbase is well represented tonight in the crowd and they make themselves heard, gaining a wave and a smile in return. DD walks to the ring and enters; on the outside he’s the picture of calm, but inside he is relieved and even a little excited to find out just whom he’ll be facing at last.
Daredevil’s music quiets down, and the arena is silenced, waiting for Daredevil’s antagonizer to reveal himself. There’s a long pause, and people get a little restless….
….until suddenly, “Beautiful People” blares from the speakers, and the entire arena goes crazy. But as fast as it started, the song is scratched out, and replaced by a new song.
Gimme fuel, gimme fire, gimme that which I desire!
The stage explodes with a large blast of pyros as Fuel by Metallica fills the arena.
Philip: And introducing his opponent, weighing in at 240 lbs. and hailing from Kelso, Washington, Surion!
Out walks Surion, but a collective gasp signifies that this isn’t just any new wrestler. The arena nearly explodes when the fans recognize this guy to be none other than Rey McFoley! He stands at the top of the ramp for a few seconds, drawing in the crowds’ reaction. The he throws up his hands, a sword in his right, and stands there looking very triumphant. After a second or two, he puts his arms down, and begins walking to the ring, stopping on either side of the ramp to greet his fans.
He reaches the ring, stands there for a few seconds, and performs the “Brock Lesnar jump” onto the apron. Once the pyros on the ring posts die down, Surion jumps over the top rope, and into the ring. He visits each of the corners before sheathing his sword. He walks over to the side of the ring and asks for a mic.
Surion takes the mic and leans against the turnbuckle, absorbing the cheers for a few moments. Finally, he gets back up.
Surion: Boy, is it great to be back!
(Fans cheer wildly once more)
Surion: As some of you may or may not have noticed by now, I am the former Rey McFoley. And some of you may be asking yourselves ‘Why such a drastic change Rey?’ Well, it is very simple. Rey McFoley was a dark time of my life. A time of my life when I was hated by all you fans and most of the roster. Sure I had the Lightweight Title for the better half of 3 months, but what does that mean now, when the only person who supported me gave me a free trip to the hospital?
But now, I have come back from the most horrendous beating of my life at the hands of who I thought was my friend. John Gotti.
(Crowd boos loudly).
Surion: John Gotti is the reason for my missing almost 2 months of action. He is the reason for all the rehab I had to go through. But, then again, I would like to thank you, Mr. Gotti. You made me see the light, see what I have been doing wrong all my life. When you injured me 2 months ago, I thought to myself ‘what am I going to do? My only friend is gone and I have a shattered wrist.’ While sitting at home, I got a phone call. A phone call that changed my life.
It was RDK on the other line, the first person from ACW that I had talked to in nearly a month. He said that he knew what I was going through, that he could help me come back. So I agreed, in between my rehab appointments, I was a frequent visitor in secret down at RDK’s gym, where I trained vigorously over the next month, and, well, here I stand before you a new man. And RDK, I would like to thank you for giving me a second chance. If you hadn’t shown that you believe in me, I probably would still be sitting on my couch, wondering what I’ll be doing for the rest of my life….
But enough about that. Now for the other reason as to why I am here. Daredevil, my boy, what do you say to that little match I promised you? If you remember my agreement two weeks ago on Meltdown, I told you that if I found you worthy, then I would make you my star pupil. Well, in the famous words of Captain Tenneal, Lets get it on!
Surion drops the mic, walks up to Daredevil, and sticks his hand out amicably. His face shows that he is ready to fight, as this is his first match since nearly 2 months ago. Daredevil reaches out slowly and grasps Surion’s hand. They then release as they know that one hell of a match is about to start.
Bell Rings.
Daredevil doesn’t waste a second; he gets right in and delivers a succession of blows before Surion can raise his defences, knowing that with an opponent as quick as the former Poco Loco that he won’t get many clear opportunities for offense. To some extent this works, putting Surion on the back foot and allowing DD to dictate the pace for the first minute or so, but then Surion regains his cool and starts to retaliate with nicely placed kicks to the gut, which eventually make DD bend over slightly to try and protect himself, thus putting his head in range for a hit – and run DDT. DD though springs back up and chase Surion, who’s heading for a corner; the battle resumes there and DD rams his shoulder into Surion repeatedly, working on his left side and building on this with some wrenching of Surion’s left arm. Surion has a counterplan; he hops up to the second turnbuckle and flips over the top of DD, thus reversing this situation so that now he’s the one putting pressure on DD. Surion then keeps hold of DD’s arm and whips him hard into the opposite corner – DD crashes in to it, but instinctively shifts to one side as Surion charges in for a running dropkick. The result is that Surion dropkicks the top turnbuckle instead; he has enough presence of mind to backflip and land on his feet, but DD is waiting and he executes a strong german suplex – into – pin, the first attempt of the match. This nets him just short of a 2 count, and Surion nods a little, obviously pleased, before locking up with DD again. A brief test of strength follows; DD has the upper hand before Surion breaks out and whips DD to the ropes, flooring him on his return with a jumping leg lariat as the crowd watches, deeply into the fascinating contest.

Surion goes for an elbow drop, but DD shifts aside and then changes tack by locking on a sleeper hold while both men are still kneeling on the mat. DD braces himself and resists Surion’s struggles, concentrating hard and soaking up the elbows which Surion is giving him in his attempts to escape. At first Surion starts to weaken, and DD’s hopes rise, but this is just a red herring; the crowd is split over who to cheer for as both men are popular, and Surion now answers his supporters by rising to his feet and then stamping down on DD’s foot, on combination with dome more determined shots to the gut. DD is forced to abandon the sleeper attempt, but Surion has been slowed down a little by its effects and DD makes use of this to get hold of his opponent and deliver a powerful Oklahoma Slam. The crowd cheers again and DD pins for a 2, but the kickout is strong and now Surion is back into full attack mode. A flurry of blows make DD reel, and again Suron shows off his athletic ability with the flying head scissors. DD gets back up, but Surion is already positioning himself at the ropes and he springboards off into a Lou Thesz press. DD’s shoulders are down and Surion tries to keep them there, he also gets 2 before DD manages to shift him. The crowd’s getting louder, and their energy pours into Surion; he grins as he goes toe to toe with DD, he had forgotten just how much he enjoys top level competition. DD too is getting the “PPV buzz”, and he channels it into a powerful neckbreaker which is enough for another 2. DD moves to pick up Surion, but his foe has other ideas, and rolls out of the ring to get some breathing space. DD walks to the ropes, their eyes meet, and then DD makes a very sudden dive out between the ropes to spear Surion, and the fight begins again on the outside.
Surion and DD grapple right against the barrier, thrilling the fans in the first few rows. DD gets very slightly distracted by a female fans declaring her undying love for him rather loudly in his ear, but fortunately this just makes Surion snort with laughter. DD grins and pushes Surion back against the apron, laying down some chops to the chest; Surion responds in kind, drawing a few “Whoooo!”s from the audience. The fun and games though soon give way to more serious combat; DD grasps Surion by the hair and runs him into the ring post before hitting a snapmare; Surion staggers back up but the momentum is now clearly with the fiery Welshman. DD lives up to his in – ring moniker; he climbs up to the top of the same post, raises his arms, and then arcs down in a beautiful senton that practically flattens Surion into the ground. The ref’s counting, and DD slides back into the ring at 7; Surion is alerted by the urgent cries of the crowd and just about rolls in on the 9 mark. However, he does it so that he’s close to the corner and can roll straight out again, next to the announce tables; as DD chases him to try and stop this he plays right into Surion’s hands, and Surion grabs DD’s feet and drags him out of the ring, swinging him around as he does so in order to throw DD into the side of the announce desk. Quickly Surion bundles DD on to the table, waving aside the commentators, and climbs up next to him; the fans are making a huge sound as Surion lifts up DD and delivers a sit – out powerbomb on to the table. The table does not collapse, but its top cracks into two from the impact and both men are dropped inside its “shell”, and it’s several moments before Surion is able to extract both himself and his dazed opponent from the mess of wiring and plywood. Surion hauls DD back to the ring and pins, 1,2….but about a quarter of a count from 3 DD gets a shoulder up, and the fans cheer wildly as both men rise and prepare themselves for the deciding battle.

It’s been an extremely tight contest with the balance of power constantly shifting about, but now both men are determined not to lose out having come so far. They meet in the centre of the ring, and now their blows have twice the fire; blocking is almost totally forgotten as they go all out to secure the victory. DD looks to be making progress; he leads the battle toward the ropes, stuns Surion with a kick to the temple, and then leaps to the ropes to take off for a massive jumping clothesline. DD makes a pin, but Surion is with it enough to bust out just after 2. DD though is fired up and will not be denied; he hits a scoop slam that makes the ring shake and tries again, this time getting 2.5. DD yells, a combination of determination and frustration, and the crowd sense what’s coming; DD picks up Surion again and signals for the stunt bomb. This however is when Surion makes his move; he’s been conserving his energy and lulling DD into a false sense of security, so it isn’t really that hard for him to escape before DD can deliver the bomb……except that DD then simply turns around, grabs Surion again and hits the move at double speed to a huge pop. DD pins and hooks the leg, 1,2,th – kickout! Surion somehow bucks out of the pin, and DD is stunned by Surion’s refusal to give up. Surion rolls away and stands; DD approaches carefully, but he can sense that victory is close, so close……he throws punches one, two, three – but the third is blocked and Surion slaps on a doublehanded chokehold. With the crowd going nuts Surion demonstrates the Hand of Albion, turning his chokehold into another Sitout powerbomb of amazing force. The pin is instant, and DD kicks with all his might…..just a millisecond too late. The bell is rung, and both men pull themselves back up with the sound of the fans filing their ears and lifting their souls.
Philip: Here is your winner……Surion!
With the ending of the match being replayed on the Titantron, Surion takes a mic and addresses Daredevil.
Surion: Now that is what I call a match! You are definitely worthy of being my pupil. Together, with my obvious veteran skills, and you with your enthusiasm, we can right the wrongs currently being committed in ACW. Me as the master, you as the student, nothing can stop us. But, there is one final thing I need to address….
Surion is briefly interrupted by Daredevil, who has gotten a hold of a mic of his own.
Daredevil: So, Surion, you think that I would just accept your invitation to be your student? You think that I would jump at the chance to be taught by arguably the most recognized cruiserweight in the history of ACW? Well, I got just one thing to say to that…… count me in! I’ll be honest, it has been a dream of mine ever since coming to accepted by you as an equal.
With that Daredevil extends his hand to Surion. Surion holds back for a brief second before grasping the hand. With the friendly formalities put out of the way, Surion resumes his speech.
Surion: Well, Daredevil, now that it’s official, I guess I had better tell you the news before anyone else…<br> He whispers something inaudible into Daredevil’s ear. Daredevil looks at Surion as if to say “No freaking way!” and Surion replies by just nodding. Devil is smiling from ear-to-ear at the news, and the crowd anxiously waits for Surion to reveal it.
Surion: It has come to my attention that the Tag Team division in ACW has become over run with…. Italians (a look of disgust covers his face). Now, I have an idea I’ve been working on ever since I was told I could return. Of course, I have contacted certain people, and talked to Ginger about this as well. Ginger has agreed to give me a #1 contender match for the Tag Team championship. It will be, this coming Thursday, T.I.M. vs. Surion… and a partner of his choice. I’m sure you will be ecstatic to learn my partner of choice. This Thursday that is…
Surion winks at the camera, drops the mic, and beckons Daredevil. Devil follows and the crowd is left to ponder over (for about half a second) who Surion has chosen for his tag team partner.

Segment: Realisation (Credit: Ridley)
The scene is the Demon Pit; in Ridley's absence, Rose is seated on the grand throne, mentally psyching herself up for her upcoming title shot. She stands from the throne and paces amidst the shadows, a pensive look on her face.
Rose: .....it's come down to just me, looks like....I wonder if I'll be able to do it after all---
She stops, abruptly, glancing around her as if she heard a noise.
Rose: Is...somebody there?
Silence. Rose turns again, about to return to her pondering---when suddenly, a silhouetted figure steps out of the shadows and grabs her around the throat with one hand, clamping a hand over her mouth with the other.
Skurai: Thought you'd have these last few minutes to yourself...darling?
Rose struggles, remembering Skurai's actions on Warfare, but he's taken her by surprise, and his grip is unbreakable. He maneuvers her over in front of the door to the Demon Pit, and continues his speech.
Skurai: I just thought I'd stop by and wish you the best of luck tonight. Because, you know, we wouldn't want anything----
And then he hears a sound that almost stops his heart as the door slams open with a thunderous crash, and a familiarly huge, spiked form is visible in the doorway. Skurai drops Rose and spins as the figure takes a step forward.
Skurai: NO, WAIT, I CAN EXPL---
The movement is almost like a blur. It's impossible for a normal human being to trace the path of their movement, but within a second, the lights in the Demon Pit are on, and Skurai is off the floor and pinned face-first to the wall by the Lord of Darkness, who's got one hand shoving his face into the plaster, and the other clamping into the cluster of nerves by the carotid artery.
Ridley's undergone a dramatic change since Warfare, almost as serious as the one he underwent at Seven Deadly Sins. The grid on his head has returned, and his cape has also been made over somewhat; it's almost unrealistically huge now.
Skurai struggles to get the words out as Ridley's finger armor claws are ravaging his throat.
Skurai: Ridley...what....what the fuck are you---
The first words we hear from Ridley, even considering his antics over the course of ACW history, are the most volatile, furious, burning words we've ever heard him speak.
Ridley: .....you....touched....Alexandra.
His breathing sounds like an exhuming furnace, and his red eyes look like they're about to bulge out of his head. The world champion senses the severe danger of this confrontation before he even has his match.
Skurai: NO, wait...I thought you were---
Ridley: I TOLD YOU...to stay the fuck out of Pain Inc's affairs. NOBODY....and I mean NOBODY....treats her like you have. And you DARED---??!!??
The last words come out more as a choked, strangling snarl than any actual phrase. Ridley is clearly absolutely livid, and he looks like at any second the stress of the last month could finally break the camel's back.
Skurai: You fool, I loved---
He doesn't even get the words out of his mouth as Ridley slams him into the wall once, twice, three times, then whirls and throws him halfway across the room onto the floor, in a moment Asmodeus would be proud of. With Skurai prone and trying to stand up, Ridley steps over him, grabs him by the hair, and pulls his head back, talking into his ear in the same low, almost-over-the-edge voice he's been using for the last few weeks.....but then it escalates very quickly.
Ridley: You don't know what love is, you worthless blithering CRETIN!!! YOU AREN'T EVEN ENLIGHTENED!
He's screaming now, his claws digging deep into the sides of Skurai's head as all the anger finally starts coming out. Rose cowers in the shadows; she's NEVER seen this side of Ridley before, even when he's angry.
Ridley: YOU WOULDN'T KNOW TRUE PAIN IF I PUT YOU THROUGH A WOODCHIPPER!!! YOU'RE NO ACOLYTE, YOU'RE JUST A PATHETIC FUCKING KIKE RAPIST TURNED PAPER CHAMPION!!!!
Skurai: ...wha...no....hold....I....who....
Skurai's nose has been slightly bloodied, and his gurgling intensifies as Ridley bodily jerks him off the ground by the back of his head and holds him in the air again, facing him very closely.
Ridley: So listen to me very, very carefully. You aren't SHIT, Skurai. You may be able to beat Rose, but you sure as fuck have never even come CLOSE to actually defeating me. So before I deal with Alicia, I'll be watching both of you tonight, Skurai. And so help me God, if you do ANYTHING that I even vaguely construe as advancing on the last thing left that I love, I'll CUT YOUR FUCKING SHYLOCK TONGUE OUT AND EAT IT MYSELF!!!
With that, Ridley turns and hurls Skurai through the closed doors of the Demon Pit, which slam open as he passes through, then close themselves. He stands, the fury having finally ebbed, shoulders heaving, fangs clenched, and takes a deep breath.
Rose: L-lord Ridley?
She approaches slowly from behind and places a tentative hand on his shoulder, which Ridley covers with one of his armored ones. His voice seems back to normal...almost gentle...as he responds to her.
Ridley: No more titles, Alexandra. I dare say the student has far surpassed the master, as far as achievement goes. Perhaps my musings on materialism were wrong.....as were many of the other things I've done.
Rose's eyes light up at this, and she takes a more confident step closer, putting her arms around him. Ridley leans his head back and half-smiles, inhaling the scent of her hair deeply.
Rose: What would those be, L-......Ridley?
Ridley: I was overharsh with you quite a bit...I said some things that I shouldn't have, Alexandra, and I....look, I'm sorry.
A huge grin crosses Rose's face as she squeezes him more tightly now and leans her head on his shoulder.
Rose: I'm sorry as well. I didn't react as well as I could have to these things.
Ridley: I suppose we've both been taking out the stress of recent events on each other.
Rose: True....
Ridley: ......but that's exactly what they want. And I'm not letting it happen.
He turns and slides both arms around her waist, while she likewise puts hers over his shoulders, and leans in close so their foreheads lightly touch.
Ridley: Alexandra, I love you.
Rose: Oh God...
A tear trickles from one of her eyes, and she's about to turn away, but he gently catches her head with one hand and redirects it back to meeting his gaze.
Ridley: I love you more than anything I've ever known in this world, Alexandra; words couldn't begin to describe it to you.
Rose: I...(sniffles)....I love you too, Ridley.
They briefly kiss before Ridley continues.
Ridley: Nothing's ever going to change that. It doesn't matter to me whether you win or lose tonight, I'll still be completely devoted to you.
She buries her face in his chest, almost sobbing as the two embrace for the first time in almost a month, letting their frustrations with each other finally melt away.
A long pause follows; it's a quiet, rather meaningful moment for both of them....until Rose finally looks up and breaks the silence.
Rose: We're not on until the double main event, right?
Ridley gets what she's saying, and glances over at the throne with a gleam in his eyes.
Ridley: I suppose we have an hour or two....
Fade Out.

Match 4: Bladeshadow and V3 vs Champions Angelo Giovanni and Donatello Enzo (TIM) – ACW Tag Team Championship – Ultimate X Match
The noise levels in the arena are now at an almost constant high; around the ring the tall poles and rope formation required for the Ultimate X format are being erected. In the centre of the X, the tag belts are strapped securely in place (lessons have been learned from TNA’s “technical difficulties”), with the two belts fastened into a single package to be collected by whoever has the skill and drive to do so.
Philip: The next match is an “Ultimate X” competition, for the ACW tag team championship! In this match, all four participants will compete at once; the winners will be the team who successfully retrieve the tag belts from their position above the ring.
The crowd pops, and this multiplies exponentially as “Step Up” hits.
Philip: Introducing first, the challengers……from Las Vegas and Upstate New York, V3 and Bladeshadow!
Blade and V3 are running hot for this match; they bounce down the aisle, greeting the fans and psyching one another up as they head to the ring. A little more fan appreciation follows before their music fades out, to be replaced by the FBI’s theme and a whole load of boos and jeers.
Philip: And their opponents, they are the current ACW tag team champions…..Donatello Enzo and Angelo Giovanni, collectively known as The Italian Mafia!
There’s a powerful roar from backstage, and a panel in the set lifts up to reveal Angelo and Enzo in Angelo’s incredibly flash Lamborghini. The car slinks partway down the ramp before the pair disembark; wisely Angelo decides to leave it some distance from the ring, and he and Enzo delight in flipping off the Blade fan brigade as much as possible before they reach the ring. TIM step through the ropes, an image of confidence – their win over Daredevil has done much to improve their spirits, and Blade and V3 know they have a real fight on their hands. All four men watch one another closely, and the ref decides to get things going post haste.
Bell Rings.
V3 and Angelo break first, charging one another until they clash in the centre of the ring, right below the belts. As they do so, Blade sees a chance for the quickest Victory in ACW history – he rushes in, runs up the back of his partner and jumps up to just about grab hold of the belts. Blade dangles and tries to rip them down, but Enzo is a tall man and he moves with great speed to dash in and grab Blade’s legs before he can lift them out of reach. V3 and Angelo’s battle has shifted left of centre, so when Enzo brings Blade down it’s not on top of them. Enzo and Blade begin to trade blows, while close to the ropes Angelo kicks V3 hard in the chest, winding him, and then provides a memorable demonstration of his power by chokeslamming V3 right over the top of the ropes and down to the floor below. Angelo jumps over the ropes and tries to drop down on to V3, but V3 rolls away and is ready to recommence the fight as Angelo gets up; Blade meanwhile stuns Enzo with a spinning hook kick and then makes his way to the X post close to the steel steps where his partner is fighting. Blade leaves V3 to it and climbs up the X post, and as he gets to the top he hears the almighty bang as someone is slammed on to the steel steps. Concerned, he looks down and sees V3 grinning as Angelo lies dazed on the metal. Blade thinks for a second, and then palms the top of the pole, suspending himself horizontally with one hand directly over the top of the prone Angelo. The audience cheers like crazy as Blade pushes off, and lands a mighty super moonsault on to Angelo. The audience loves it, but it’s a risky strategy; on the other side of the ring, Enzo has been stealthily ascending the opposite post and is now considering how best to approach the belts in their lofty resting place.
V3 is in a better position than Blade to respond to this, and so he dashes around the ring and climbs up after Enzo, who’s not convinced that the X ropes will support him. V3 has no such concerns, and he and Enzo fight at the top of the pole, each trying to knock the other down. A similar scene is developing back at the original corner – Blade has climbed up to the top and is trying to move hand over hand toward the centre of the ropes, Angelo though is right behind and about halfway across he catches up and snakes his legs around Blade’s neck. Angelo is choking Blade out; Blade tries to call V3 but he sees V3 and Enzo go plummeting down to the outside – it’s impossible to tell who pushed the other. Angelo racks up the pressure, and Blade looks like he’s going to pass out, but the fans start chanting “SHA – DOW! SHA – DOW!” and Blade snaps open his eyes, a flicker of a smile suggested under the mask, and Blade twists around and grabs on to Angelo, letting go of the X so Angelo has to support all his weight. Angelo can’t do this, and his grip fails; Blade has less than a second to act, but somehow he shifts both himself and his opponent so that on landing, Angelo receives a thunderous powerbomb that almost brings the ring down. As they lie there, V3 pops up at a different corner and springs from the top ring rope to grab the X rope. He smiles, but Enzo has seen him, and Enzo is about to show a side of him that is rarely seen – with amazing grace for a large man he too jumps to the top rope, and almost by willpower gets enough height and distance on his jump to spear V3 off of the rope. Now all 4 men are down in the centre of the ring, and they’re practically back to where they started.

The belts gleam tantalisingly above, and as they get up both teams seem to get the same idea. Blade climbs on V3’s shoulders, and Angelo climbs on Enzo’s so that the pair are hanging on the ropes facing one another across the ring. Angelo, though, is closer to the belts, and with a smirk he gives Blade a chin flick. Blade glares, and then kicks and flips up to land perfectly balanced on the ropes; the crowd cheers, and they cheer even more when Blade runs across the ropes, hops over the belts and handstands above Angelo before swinging his feet down to kick Angelo off. Enzo catches Angelo to break his fall, but in doing so misses V3 charging in; V3 knocks the pair over and then evacuates, as Blade is swinging around the rope like a gymnast at the Olympics, and there are many “Oooooooohh!”s as he releases, performs a double back flip, and then drops feet first to stomp the pair of them. Blade then runs straight back to the post, climbs up it, and starts to head back to the centre – but Angelo has been largely protected from the last move by Enzo and wants revenge. He catches up to Blade, who’s only a foot or two from the belts, and Blade turns around and fights back. Angelo though will not be denied this time, and he kicks back at Blade, swings past him and uses his legs to set Blade up before dropping off the X, using his weight this time, into a Styles Clash. Blade is badly stunned, but Angelo now has to contend with V3 who is just finishing a bout of battering Enzo, DDTing Enzo down before heading over to Angelo. Angelo taunts V3 and gets up; V3 keeps his cool and blocks Angelo’s shot before whipping him to the ropes. Angelo holds out his arm for a clothesline, but V3 ducks down and lifts Angelo into a fireman’s carry before starting an airplane spin. Angelo is dizzied as V3 twists, and promptly hurled over the ropes to the outside; V3’s on fire, and Blade just grins and lets him continue as Enzo charges, only for V3 to sidestep and then kick him so he flies out of the ring. Blade and V3 seem to have everything under control, but TIM are about to stop playing and start fighting…..dirty.
Blade has reached the centre of the X; he flips up and sits next to the belts to try and untie them. V3 shouts advice, but he neglects to watch for danger; both Angelo and Enzo are suddenly back in the ring, and they have chair with intent to use them. V3 gets a single shot to the back, but it’s Blade they’re more interested in; Enzo drops his chair, picks up V3, runs and hurls him into one of the X posts, shaking the ropes above. Blade unbalances but hangs on with his legs; unfortunately for him this puts him right where TIM want him, and Blade receives a conchairto which drops him down and jars his neck. TIM celebrate by flipping off the crowd, but the crowd just jeers, and TIM fail to notice an irate V3 with a table climbing quietly into the ring. They’re introduced to the table a second later when V3 hits them both with it in a kind of “mine’s bigger than yours” gesture; V3 sets the table up next to the turnbuckle, and as Angelo is the first to move V3 drags him over and ascends the ring post. The crowd whoops and yells, and V3 lifts Angelo; he throws him, but at the critical point Angelo grabs on to V3, sending both of them through the tabletop together. Neither moves for a little while; in the centre of the ring, Blade is being beaten hard by Enzo, the pair having recovered somewhat, and it’s Angelo that gets up and grabs his chair, ready to put Blade down for good. Angelo takes aim…..but the crowd jumps up again, and Angelo is taken down with a storming Samurai Shot (superkick) from V3. Without pausing, V3 sets up and hits the Triple inverter on to the chair, and Angelo’s out for the count.
Blade is taking a lot of punishment from Enzo, and V3 yells something to Blade; Blade nods, and V3 takes over the fight while Blade climbs back up to the X ropes and makes his way to the centre. He tugs at the belts, but still no joy; as he looks down he sees that Enzo is trying to set up the widow’s peak, and he and all the crowd shout to try and get V3 to respond. V3 manages to get free, and retaliates with a reverse hook kick; Blade and V3 look at one another, and huge grins spread across their faces. V3 sets up Enzo for what looks to be a kamikaze, but everyone else is watching Blade; he stands up and then begins to bounce, using the belts and the ropes, going higher and higher……the camera has difficulty with the pan distance, and finally when he has achieved a height of about 30 feet, Blade somersaults at the peak of his ascent and then drops down to deliver the truly ultimate Thor’s Hammer, right before V3 finishes the combo for an awesome “Atomic Lightning Strike”. Blade takes a few moments to get up from the fall, and he walks back over to V3; TIM are completely out of it, and the crowd is cheering themselves silly. Blade and V3 scratch their heads comically, and then look upward…..and with absolutely perfect timing Blade’s bounces overcome the binding on the title belts. They drop down, and Blade and V3 catch them as the bell rings to signify the end of the contest.
Philip: Here are your winners……and NEW ACW tag team champions…..Bladeshadow and V3!
All is chaos for a few seconds as Blade and V3 pull themselves out of the tangle of ropes and their knocked out opponents. The crowd is ecstatic, as are the new champs….they each take a belt and hold it up, grinning from ear to ear (it’s obvious that this is so, even under Blade’s mask).
Their celebrations are short lived; from the crowd there’s a sudden loud reaction, and before either Blade or V3 can react they’re being mercilessly beaten down….by the now familiar forms of Hunter and Cage. The crowd boos with real venom, but the brothers pay no attention; having used chairs to subdue them, Hunter gives V3 the Hunter’s Revenge, while Cage administers the Rage on Blade. All four of the match participants are now down; Hunter laughs dismissively and retrieves the dropped belts, handing one to Cage, and the pair raise the belts over their rightful owners to huge crowd disapproval. Their point made, Hunter and Cage discard the belts and leave the ring; Hunter’s comment is clearly audible as the pair head back to the locker rooms, their disreputable night’s work finally completed.
Hunter: That was just too easy. Those titles are ours, it’s just a matter of time……
The duo disappear backstage as the EMTs hurry to assist all those in need. All four men are slowly coming round; as they’re assisted back to the locker rooms both Blade and V3 are simmering with rage, and the crowd is left to guess what form their retribution will take, and whether the cocky newcomers have made a bad mistake with their actions tonight.
