Segment: All, or nothing at all (Credit: Yoko)
We see Mercer Stanton relaxing in his office, having a conversation with Elias.
Mercer: That was brilliant. Your idea for Daredevil, I mean. I couldn't have done it better myself.
Elias: Thank you. I thought it would work out great, too.
Mercer: With the Lightweight Title on Jade, and Yoko's fondness for that belt, I wouldn't doubt it if they got back into a fight.
Elias: Maybe she'd go over the edge this time? Like the bunny wanted?
Mercer: Perhaps. I thi-
There's a knock on the door. Stanton nods at Elias. Elias approaches it and opens it slowly. He sees Ginger.
Elias: Yes?
Ginger: I need to speak with Mr. Stanton.
Mercer: Mr. Ginger, it's been a while since...Well, actually, I don't recall you ever coming in here. Come in and sit down.
Ginger enters, looking uneasily around the eerily white room. He shakes the feeling off and sits down in front of the desk.
Mercer: I assume that if you came to see me, it's about something important. Let me guess, the Lightweight title thing? A new champion has been cr-
Ginger: I know, I know. I lost my chance to veto the decision when the new champion was crowned. That's not why I'm here. It's more important than that.
Mercer: Oh?
Ginger reaches into his suit and pulls out a small stack of documents, and lays it on Stanton's desk. Stanton picks them up, examining them.
Mercer: This is our contract.
Ginger: Yeah. I want out of it.
Stanton raises an eyebrow.
Mercer: Out of it? Why?
Ginger: I don't believe this partnership is working out, Mr. Stanton. You don't know how to run a wrestling company, and you sure haven't learned. You've manipulated me into things I shouldn't have done, and morale among the locker room is the lowest its ever been because of your little decisions regarding match gimmicks and titles.
Stanton sets the contract down and leans back in his chair, clasping his hands together.
Mercer: ...A contract of this stature is not broken so easily.
Ginger: I know that. I was hoping we could make some sort of deal. I could pay you out of ACW's money what you've already invested, and a little extra.
Mercer: Money is of no interest to me, Mr. Ginger. I'm not in this for the money. Our contract will not be ended. Elias, see him out.
Ginger: Now wait, there must be something you want!
Stanton laughs.
Mercer: You'll give me something I don't have or couldn't easily obtain, if I leave? I think you forget who's the richer man.
Ginger: ...What about full power?
Mercer: What?
Ginger: Full power of ACW.
Mercer: Full power by leaving? That doesn't even make sense.
An idea is forming in Ginger's head, though as quickly as he would like.
Ginger: No, not like that...Like we have a match for it.
Mercer: I'm not getting my hands dirty.
Ginger: Not us, we get the superstars who are loyal to us, and they fight. If my side wins, you go, and if your side wins, then...Well, you're the new owner of ACW.
Mercer: An interesting idea. But it's not fair, I have what, five people loyal to me? Five people can't take on the rest of the roster. At least, not the ones with me. I propose we single out one person to fight for us.
Ginger ponders this. He was hoping that Stanton wouldn't catch onto being outnumbered, one on one is a much greater risk.
Ginger: So a one on one competition to decide the fate of ACW? I'm willing to risk it.
Mercer: I wasn't aware you hated me so much, I'm insulted. Anyhow, you get the paperwork and the details together, I'll look over and approve, blah blah, the usual.
Ginger stands up.
Ginger: I'll be having lawyers overseeing it, so don't try to sneak anything in at the last minute.
Mercer: What, now you don't trust me?
Stanton grins.
Ginger: We'll make the official announcement monday, then. See you then.
Ginger turns to the door, which Elias is holding open.
Mercer: One last thing, Ginger.
Ginger: Yes?
Mercer: I think I'll turn your office into a storage closet when this is over.
Ginger ignores him and leaves, Elias shuts the door behind him.
Elias: Are you sure this is a wise move? It's a big risk.
Mercer: It's a risk, sure. Risks make life fun though. Besides, we won't lose. I already have my representative in mind.
Elias: Kiji?
Mercer: Not for this, I want someone else.
Elias: ...Me?
Stanton looks at him.
Elias: Sorry.
The room goes quiet as the scene fades.
