Just one problem with the awesome crossover match...didn't team AJPW/ACW win, not team NJPW?

Yeah, I know Mutoh books AJPW now, which is why Kensuke Sasaki was originally going to be in his place, but then I remembered who our audience is, and envisioned them reacting to Sasaki. "WHOAMG TAHT GUY WHO JOBBED ON WCW WURLDWIDE? LOLLOLLOLL".
So the Great Muta it was.

I'm not much of a Tenzan fan, and I didn't want to have him teaming with the guy who'd just recently beaten him for the Triple Crown title. Nagata was ALSO a Worldwide regular, so his reasons are the same as Kensuke Sasaki.
Nakamura and Tanahashi also came to mind, but really, not many people have the same star-power and instant recognization as the mist-spraying, wizard-shining "crazy old guy that isn't Misawa".

Oh, you're KIDDING!!!!! I came back into the ring after two weeks of writing, writing, and writing, and I...lose? *sigh* I'll spare you my agressions, as I don't like to be a sore loser. But still... Anyway, good show...

Gotcha, I just thought of that about Tenzan after I posted it, and with Nagata, yeah, I do seem to remember that he was on Worldwide. As for Tanahashi/Nakamura, I love them as much as any puro fan, but for this situation, I think you justified your choices pretty well, NJ and AJ have a working situation right now anyway(with Mutoh at the upcoming Dome show and Koji having the IWGP being two prime examples), so it makes sense.
(Also, just have to say that I loved seeing you counter a few of KaShin's dang armbars.)
