Match 8: Vinnie Dulario vs. Yoko Satoshi – ACW World Title (Credit: Wyvern; pre and post match events Vinnie / Yoko)
The scene cuts back to the sold-out arena, just before the main event. The crowd is eagerly anticipating tonight’s match, which pits one of the newest talents in the ACW against the newly-crowned World Champion in his very first match. As the fans gear up for the match, one can only wonder what impressions Vinnie Dulario can make here tonight against the “Flower of Carnage” Yoko Satoshi. Without warning, "...And Justice for All" hits the 'Tron, and Vinnie Dulario walks out onto the stage. He stands there momentarily, peering out at the crowd from behind his reflecting shades. He whips his trench open, revealing he has changed for the match about to take place.
Philip (hurrying to get with the program): This is tonight’s main event, an intergender match for the ACW World Championship! Introducing first, the challenger, making his ACW Debut……Vinnie Dulario!
The crowd boo immensely as Vinnie saunters down the ramp. He stops in front of the barricade, as the fans pour on the hate. He takes off his shades, staring down the rabid fans, who seem to want to hop the barricade and lynch the man in front of them. Vinnie starts to hand his glasses to a small boy, but then snatches them back. The boy's father has a look of contempt on his face as Vinnie chuckles and ascends the ring steps. He climbs into the ring, and is handed a microphone as the music cuts.
Dulario: It seems you all already know who I am...
The crowd offers up another round of jeers.
Dulario: Well, that makes you morons just a bit smarter than the ACW staff. I'll give you that much. Hell, just to show the idiocy of this company, my debut match is against...YOKO SATOSHI!
The crowd pops huge at the mention of the current World Champion.
Dulario: I mean, come on! She's a fucking schoolgirl! The Flower of Carnage? What the hell?! She's so young, she probably hasn't even lost her flower yet!
Vinnie gets a chorus of boos from the crowd from the LAME attempt at humor.
Dulario: SHUT THE FUCK UP! I'm not here to entertain you, anyways! I don't give a shit about any one of you sitting out there! I don't give a shit about Yoko Satoshi, I don't give a shit about the ACW, and I sure as hell don't give a shit about some gold-plated, pawn-shop-quality title belt! I don't care! The only thing that matters to me is ME! My blood! FAMIGLIA!
The crowd continues to boo as Vinnie starts to pace back and forth inside the ring.
Dulario: Oh, now what the fuck is your problem? NOW WHAT THE FUCK DID I SAY?! You people, you're all hypocrites! Do you hear me? HYPOCRITES! At the very least, I do not deny that I'm a bad man! I've done bad things! BUT YOU KNOW WHAT? I don't live with regret! I don't waste my life thinking about what I've done! I don't waste my precious time thinking of what could have been!
The crowd continues to jeer Vinnie in the ring.
Dulario: Speaking of wasting time-
Vinnie suddenly drops the microphone. The timekeeper quietly retrieves it while Vinnie sheds his coat and waits for his opponent.
Phillip: And his opponent, hailing from Okinawa, Japan, the current ACW Heavyweight Champion, Yoko Satoshi!
The crowd leaps to their feet as “Flower of Carnage” hits, as the one known as Yoko Satoshi emerges from the entranceway, brandishing her ACW World Heavyweight Title belt proudly over his shoulder, giving a sharp contrast to her somewhat-cold demeanor. As she heads to the ring, the fans give her support, acknowledging her hard work. She climbs into the ring, handing over the belt to the referee for safe-keeping and putting Mr. Floppy down in his now customary corner. The ref raises up the belt before calling for the bell.
Bell Rings.

Yoko and Vinnie stare each other down, with a thunderous chant of “Yoko” already permeating the arena floor. Vinnie becomes somewhat annoyed with the early chant, and charges Yoko, and the two lock up in a grapple. Vinnie manages to put Yoko into a hammerlock. Yoko elbows her way out of the hold, and she runs the ropes, going for a clothesline. Yoko connects, dropping the newcomer Vinnie down to the mat. She moves in, and locks him into a sleeperhold. He struggles with it for a little bit, before elbowing his way out of the submission. He fights his way up to his feet, and knocks Yoko back with a Jab and Hook combo, that disorients her. Utilizing the loss of Yoko's momentum, Vinnie charges her and nails a spear tackle, sending her down to the mat. Vinnie is visibly excited by this, and he lifts her right back up to inflict more punishment, as he lifts her up in a vertical suplex, and crashes her back down to the mat. He makes a cover. 1...2...kick out by Yoko, and the crowd sighs, as a new champion was on the cusp of being crowned. Vinnie looks disappointed, but he picks up Yoko again. Yoko brushes his arms off, and nails Vinnie in the midsection with a well-placed kick, followed up with a DDT. The crowd cheers Yoko on as she starts to mount an offensive on the new ACW talent. She whips Vinnie into the ropes, nailing a swinging neckbreaker. She picks Vinnie back up to his feet, knowing that he is still a ways away from being pinned. She low blows him, and he crumples down to one knee. The crowd pops at this rookie mistake, as Yoko runs and nails the Pop From Okinawa (The Shining Wizard). Vinnie's eyes glaze over as he slumps backwards. Yoko giggles a little bit as she makes the cover. 1...2...no! Vinnie kicks out, much to the dismay of Yoko.
Yoko picks up Vinnie, and scoopslams him back down to the mat. She runs to the turnbuckle, and goes for a beautiful handspring moonsault, but Vinnie rolls out of the way, with Yoko slamming into the mat hard. Vinnie rolls to a nearby rope to pull himself back up to his feet. He moves over to Yoko, but Yoko springs back up to her feet with an intensity that is remarkable, and she starts laying into him with lefts and rights, and she knocks Vinnie into a corner. She starts using kicks and punches to soften up Vinnie, who seems to be trapped. Vinnie, however, rakes the eyes of Yoko, and this allows him to get breathing room, even if the crowd wants to kill him for doing so. Vinnie excutes a double leg-takedown, with the obligatory mounting punches, getting his revenge on Yoko. Eventually he relents on the punches, and he signals for his finisher. He picks Yoko back up, and sets her up for the Dead Enough (Impaler DDT), but Yoko shoves him into the ropes, followed up with a nice back body drop, surprising the crowd, and even Vinnie, who crashes into the mat with surprising force. Yoko spins around, seeing Vinnie down on the mat, and she nails a running leg drop. Not relenting on her assault, she stomps Vinnie for a little bit, before placing him in the Old Ball and Chain! The crowd roars at the submission, and Vinnie is trying to squirm out of the hold as best as he can, but he has very little room to work with. Yoko intensifies the hold even more so when she finally gets her footing settled, and Vinnie has had it. He doesn't want his ACW career to go down the tubes due to injury just yet – it most certainly wouldn’t be beneficial to those he cares about. He taps out, conceding the match to Yoko. The bell rings.
Phillip: And here is your winner, and STILL ACW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, Yoko Satoshi!
As the crowd continues to cheer, Yoko grabs Mr. Floppy and puts him under her arm, and then rolls out of the ring. She then grabs a microphone and rolls back in. She walks over to Dulario, who is just beginning to barely stir.
Yoko: I don't know if you faced me tonight for Ginger, or for yourself. If it was for Ginger, I hope it was because he forced you to. But I do know you're talented, I cannot deny that. You can go to the back and talk about how your first match was for the world title, you deserve to be able to brag.
He begins to get up.
Yoko: You're lucky you didn't anger me though, you may not have awoken yet if you had. Take note that I tend to hold grudges, and can go a little crazy.
Some of the audience cheers, and some grow silent, all of them remembering what she did to BK London, specifically with the tampon. Vincent finally gets to his feet.
Yoko: However, it was VERY foolish to even think you could come in here in your first match, and take away what I've worked so hard for. You’ve made your feelings clear; I have only one thing to say.
She pauses, and drops the smile off of her face. The fans pop at what is about to happen.
Yoko: ...Welcome to ACW.
She smiles again and gives him a quick hug, and then takes her belt from the referee. Flower of Carnage begins to play and she leaves the ring, leaving the audience a little disappointed as she vanishes to the backstage area.

The fans are starting to think about getting their things together as the show winds down….but then out of nowhere, “Puritania” hits and the place goes mental. Ridley is down the ramp and into the ring before any of the cameras can track him, and he has a mic ready in his hand. The whole arena falls silent as if from some unheard command, waiting for an explanation for all that’s gone on tonight.
Ridley takes a second to lean on the top rope and look at the crowd before beginning. He's obviously choosing his words very carefully....
Ridley: You know...Sophocles once said that the greatest fear of humanity is to die alone. We all, as humans, share that fear; for all our necessity of solitude, we need somebody who can empathize with us, who can relate to us, whom we can trust, believe in, talk to, agonize over....even love.
He pauses, crossing the ring, and bites his lower lip slightly before continuing.
Ridley: And for some of us...that doesn't come easily. No, those of us who have been abused beyond any boundaries of cruelty, oppressed, tortured, lied to, controlled, and exposed to the truth at exactly the wrong moments...we're not exactly the friendly types. So for someone like me to latch onto somebody the way I did to a certain someone last June is an entirely uncommon occurrence, and one would THINK that once it'd happened, everybody would live happily ever after, right? I beat the system, right? I could find that my own family is a disgrace to humanity, and that I'm surrounded by utter idiots, and that I'm killing myself night in and night out for no one of importance whatsoever, BUT AT LEAST I STILL HAD THAT SPECIAL SOMEONE......right?
By this point, Ridley's starting to get fired up; his fangs champ together as he spits his words with a tone of envenomed steel.
Ridley: WRONG. Wrong, wrong, wrong; I gave her EVERYTHING she could have ever wanted, more than I've ever deigned to do for anybody else in my lifetime, and gladly would've given her anything else she'd wanted out of me, directly up to my immortal soul, and WHAT do I get in return?
Brief silence.
Ridley: Betrayal. Out-and-out, blatant betrayal in the moment in which I most trusted her, the moment in which I'd thought that everything had finally been smoothed over, that ONCE, maybe, JUST ONCE we could go back to the Demon's Pit and relax together without a single goddamned word needing to be spoken and at that moment, the world would've been able to fall down around me and I wouldn't have raised an eyebrow, because NOTHING ELSE WOULD HAVE MATTERED, because I would be with the ONLY thing in the world that mattered to me anymore; but it's not here anymore, it's gone, and although there are two people predominantly responsible for this...let's take care of the obvious one.
The noise level rises as the fans anticipate his next command, and it gets even higher when Ridley jumps onto the second rope and snarls toward the backstage area, calling for just the person they'd expected.
Ridley: ALEXANDRA KAESAR....get out here and face destiny.
The arena's quiet for a second, and then, without even any entrance music, Rose emerges from the back and walks down the ramp. As she heads to the ring, her eyes never leave Ridley's; the two stay riveted on each other, even as she enters the ring. If their on and off battling backstage hasn’t solved anything, then this most certainly will; the intent is clear for all to see. They're face-to-face in a second, with tensions quickly approaching maximum...
Ridley: Good. The decency to show up is appreciated, and now I must ask one thing. To the former light of my life, jewel of my soul, and the only...ONLY...person I've ever truly loved....
Silence, as Ridley steps back. The tension is thick to the point of being nearly tangible, and Rose's expression is completely unreadable as Ridley finishes.
Ridley: ...I have only one request. Before I strike, answer me this one question....Why?

Rose stares towards the man she once loved with cold and almost empty eyes. He called her the light of his life, but he was also the light of hers. She has her mic in her left hand and she brings it up to her mouth very slowly. She then begins to speak in a quiet and almost sad voice.
Rose: We have been lying to ourselves Ridley. For months now I have suspected that something wasn’t right, but at least I still had my faith in you. I knew that you, of all people, would not lead me astray. I knew that no matter what happened, we would be able to get through it together. I loved you with every ounce of my being. I was loyal to you and I knew that you were loyal to me. I thought that you were loyal to me because you loved me and that made me indescribably happy. There was one thing that I knew would finally bring us closer and finally give me true happiness. I knew that we could have a child and we would have a chance to be at peace for once in our lives. But……….I was utterly wrong about everything.
Rose almost smiles for a split second, but it is merely a day dream of how things were and how they can never be again. Rose quickly scowls at Ridley and he is quick to return it.
Rose: You denied me our child and it didn’t even faze you. I can’t ever be happy, can I? Enlightenment never brought me happiness like it was supposed to and it sure as hell didn’t bring US any joy. Months ago we embarked on a grand journey to mold the world into our image, but what did this quest bring? Looking back, our grand journey gave us nothing but scars and multiple tragedies. Along the way, I got to know your sister Alicia very well and it was through her that I first saw the flaws in enlightenment. That’s around the time that the doubts started arising in my mind and I fought with them day in and day out for months. I fought the doubts with all my will and I knew that I would finally put them to rest at Genocide. I organized a match with Wyvern as a means to test myself. In my match with Wyvern, I felt something that I have not felt in a very long time and that was guilt. I have been a sadist probably since the day I was born, but I didn’t enjoy seeing Wyvern suffer when I was squeezing the life out of him. I was scared and I feared what changes were happening within me, but I knew that all my fears would be put to rest and that you would be the one to help me.
Rose looks down for a second and sighs very quietly.
Rose: Genocide was supposed to be the night that brought us closer together and finally at long last, we were supposed to be happy. We were supposed to come out of Genocide stronger than ever, but we didn’t even come out of it together. I could have accepted, understood, almost anything from you Ridley…..but on that night you did one thing that shattered all my illusions and made me face the truth. Do you know what that was?
Rose is not expecting an answer, but even so the silence is painful. Her next words are so quiet and yet so charged that they cause a chill to run down everyone’s spine.
Rose: The breaking point was when you betrayed a girl who looked up to you as a God. Yoko Satoshi was like a daughter to me and I watched as you stabbed her in the back. And I knew…. I knew then that what someone once told me was right – that you would never be able to tolerate, let alone love, another person in our relationship…..even a child. That is when I lost what little faith I had left in our supposed "truth". You want to know the real truth Ridley? Do you really want to know?
Ridley does not affirm or deny her question, but he is eerily silent and looking very, very, very angry. Rose looks at his expression and does not change her own.
Rose: I’ll tell you when I find it……
Rose drops the mic and, filled with rage, charges Ridley and the two go at it once again, fists flying----but it only lasts for a second, as Ginger had anticipated this, and comes flying to ringside with two full security detachments. The entire security detail dives into the ring and throws themselves between Ridley and Rose, separating the two forcefully and holding them on opposite sides of the ring as Ginger grabs a mic and shouts into it.
Ginger: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! This has been going on all night, and I will be damned if you two are going to be allowed to tear apart ACW with this! So I'm going to head off this war before it comes to a start; the FIRST match made for Fallen Heroes next month will be between you two, and it'll be settled then, not now! Guards, get these two out of my----
FWOOM. Ridley shoves the detachment of security off him like a tiny explosion, getting right up in Ginger's face as Rose elbows her way out of the group surrounding her and steps up behind Ginger. The chairman is the only thing separating these two from each other, and his facial expression makes it obvious that he knows if they want to get at one another, he's not going to be able to stop them.
Ridley slowly takes the microphone from Ginger's trembling hands. He raises it to his lips and speaks only three words.
Ridley: So be it.
With that, he drops the mic, and without further action, rolls out of the ring and walks up the ramp. Rose turns and stares daggers into Ridley's back as Ginger mops the sweat from his brow, and for a moment, the crowd is convinced that one last parting shot will be exchanged....
...but it isn't. Ridley simply heads up the ramp and disappears into the backstage. He doesn't look back.
He NEVER looks back.
Fade to Black.
End of Show.
OOC Note: Ending segment credited to Ridley / Rose.
