Segment: So near, and yet…. (Credit: Angelo)
The scene opens to show Carma looking at the diva's title in the hallway. She smiles and runs her hand over the metal.
Carma: Oh, yes, I knew it…..I am the best. I'm the diva's champion. Nobody's gonna take this away from me.......
A crew member walks up to Carma.
Crew Man: Excuse me, Carma?
Carma: Yes?
Crew man: Mr. Giovanni would like to see you in his office.
Carma: Oh? Ok, thankyou.
Carma walks off for a little bit finally arriving the door to Angelo Giovanni's office. She then knocks on the door.
Angelo (from within): Come in.
Carma comes in to see Angelo looking at an ACW magazine.
Carma: You wanted to see me?
Angelo: Yeah, Carma....tell me what this is.
Angelo turns the magazine around so Carma can see a picture accompanying an article called "Overcoming the Odds"; it’s of Latino with his belt.
Carma: Its a picture of Latino and the International Title.
Angelo: The International Title.............Carma, if it wasn’t for you I wouldn't be looking at a picture right now. I'd be looking at the REAL thing and not this dumb little picture and article about how Latino overcame the odds and won.
Carma: Angelo, I was just trying to help.
Angelo: Carma...Latino almost got DQ'ed because of you egging on Atomic.
Carma: So what? you would've won the match.
Angelo: The match.....yes......the title....no.
Carma: Well I wasn’t the one who was pinned, sugar.
Angelo: No, but you WERE the person holding up a chair at the ropes……did you think Latino wouldn’t be able to use that against me? And don’t tell me that you were just trying to help. Now I'm probably not going to get another title shot for a long...long time. My business isn't doing good. Nobody these days needs a frickin’ hitman. So Carma, don’t even say another word. Just get out of here, and look after that belt of yours. Once you lose it you may never get another shot at it.
Carma just slowly backs away and leaves the office. Angelo then kicks the door open and leaves after about 15 seconds.
Angelo: If I don’t get business, I'll make business.
Angelo continues walking down the hall until he finally sees a crew member. Angelo comes up from behind and clotheslines him in the back of the head, knocking him to the ground. He picks him up, grabs his pants and hair and throws him into a pile of cardboard boxes, letting out some anger.
Angelo: Soon….someone is going to be made an offer they can’t refuse.
Angelo continues walking down the hall, and he lets out a roar of anger as the scene fades out.

Match 6: 10 Person Battle Royale (ACW World Title No.1 contendership)
It’s been a night of surprises, and it’s not over yet; the final match is one of the most competitive ever staged in ACW, and it’s pretty much anyone’s guess who is going to come out on top of the pile. Philip enters the ring and gets things moving.
Philip: This is the main event…..a 10 person Battle Royal, to determine the #1 contender for the ACW World Title! Are you people ready for this?!
The crowd goes nuts, and Philip grins.
Philip: All right then, let’s get the superstars out here! Introducing, from Soul Universe, Korea……FallenSouls!
”Boldly Going Nowhere” hits, and Fallen walks to the ring with his arms raised. He may be an outsider in terms of the odds, but that’s never worried him before.
Philip: Next, from Chicago Illinois…..TNT!
”Away” plays; the fans boo loudly as TNT stalks to the ring; he flips them off, laughing. This is just another chance for him to prove his “superiority” over the rest of the fed.
Philip: From the Vatican City…….Kross!
Kross walks out calmly, as “Vater Unser” fills the arena; he blesses the crowd with his usual grace, but inside he’s just that bit excited; this is the biggest opportunity he’s been given to date, and he’s determined not to waste it.
Philip: From parts unknown……..the hand of Albion, Surion!
”Fuel” hits, and the crowd cheers enthusiastically; Surion seems no less hyped himself, and he climbs the turnbuckles on reaching the ring before taking his place.
Philip: Next, from Greenock, Scotland…..Jack Fury!
The arena darkens as Fury enters; still wearing the Seiden Gauntlets, his unnerving stare makes the crowd recoil as he passes. None of the superstars have failed to note his recent dramatic change in character, and they give him space as he enters the ring; but noticeably, Kross does not flinch at his stare, and makes the sign of the cross almost as a warning to Jack.
Then, “Lowrider” hits, and the atmosphere flips 180 as Latino springs out, shaking his shoulders and very much ready for battle.
Philip: From New York, the ACW International Champion…..Latino!
The fans are ecstatic as Latino walks down to ringside; he slaps hands with many of them, but his eyes keep returning to TNT, who smirks at him and draws a finger across his throat. Latino stops at the apron, and on cue the music shifts again into “I’m a bomb”, triggering another little peak in the storm of sound.
Philip: From London, England……Alicia “Atomic” Kitsune!
AK smiles as she half walks, half dances to ringside; Latino waits for her to reach him, and then they simultaneously hop over the ropes into the ring…a gesture of solidarity which isn’t lost on the rest of the field.
Philip: From Okinawa, Japan……Yoko Satoshi!
”Flower of Carnage” hits; Yoko gets her usual boos as she comes out, but it worries her little. She heads to the ring with confidence, determined to prove that she’s ready to claim the world title as her own.
Philip: From Brooklyn, New York…….BK London!
BK splits the audience, as always; his fans make themselves known, but tonight the crowd is divided several ways. BK comes quickly to the ring; he’s itching to get at Yoko, and only a warning from the referee keeps him from attacking her at that very second.
Philip: And finally, from Yellowknife, Canada…..the Macho Man, RDK!
”Macho Man” blares from the speakers, and the crowd go mental as RDK makes his appearance. He smiles with confidence as he walks to the ring; on reaching it he too climbs the turnbuckles, and shakes hands with the face contingent.
The mammoth task of getting everyone down to the ring achieved, the lighting returns to normal and the noise in the arena is incredible. The ref makes a final check, and everyone tenses; then with a roar of approval from the crowd he makes a theatrical gesture to the timekeeper, and it’s on.
Bell Rings.

All hell breaks loose in an instant; BK and Yoko slam into one another and throw punches, each letting out their frustration and anger with the other. TNT and Latino are just as eager to start ripping chunks out each other, and they yell abuse as they engage in some vicious shin kicking before locking up. With their heads down, they make a perfect platform for AK to use in a super high attack; she jumps from the ropes, handsprings off of TNT’s shoulders, and then comes down feet first to dropkick Surion. Surion shakes the fuzz from his head and promptly responds with a clothesline, knocking AK to the mat; he keeps going and does some additional damage by crashing into Fury and Fallen, who are scrapping viciously close to the ropes. They both get taken over the top, but both hang on and stop their feet hitting the floor, and their battle resumes with equal fire as they stand on the apron. Elsewhere, RDK and Kross are exchanging chops to the chest; Kross decides to stir things up a bit and whips RDK into the BK / Yoko melee. All three crash to the mat; The pileup gets even worse as Surion, AK and Kross all get the same idea, and it’s one for the photo album as they pull off simultaneous moonsaults from turnbuckle and ropes to strike the three superstars on the ground. All the vibration from the multiple landings also has an unintended effect; it destabilises Fallen, who is inches from dislodging Fury, and only another quick grab for the ropes saves him. Deciding that his current position is too hazardous, Fallen jumps back into the ring; Fury follows, and cracks his metal gauntlet against the back of Fallen’s head. Fallen staggers, but is not down and out; he turns, eyes blazing with defiance, and delivers a rather appropriate Soul Transfer. The crowd roars, but Fury kips up and leers; he is about to attack again but the rest of the field has noticed the weaken state of the brawling pair, and Fury is engaged by both RDK and Kross. Fury seems to hold them easily, but his back is now exposed; Fallen moves in behind him….only to himself be grabbed from behind by AK and Latino, pulling together to deliver a massive double german suplex. Fallen is sent flying over the ropes, and crashes to the ground head first.
Philip: FallenSouls has been eliminated!
Latino and AK only have a moment to savour their success before TNT ploughs into them; he rushes forward, grasping AK’s head by the hair, and hurtles to the turnbuckle to smash her forehead against it. Enraged, Latino follows – but he’s cut off by the migrating and savage battle between Yoko and BK. Yoko sneaks in a back kick to BK in all the confusion, but is then given a diamond cutter by Latino; Latino is still determined to get his hands on TNT, but Yoko grabs his leg and pulls him to the mat. BK takes the opportunity and hits Latino with a standing SSP; a short distance away, AK is extracting some payback from TNT with a flurry of powerful kicks, though she takes as much as she gives out thanks to TNT’s storming punches. Meanwhile, RDK is just about standing up to Fury’s ceaseless attacks; Surion sees his friend in trouble and rushes in to help, shifting around behind Fury and locking in a sleeperhold. But it doesn’t seem to have all that much effect; Fury just smiles with his needle – sharp teeth and backs up into a corner, crushing Surion against the turnbuckle. RDK is reluctant to splash Fury for fear for hurting Surion further; Fury taunts him….but the crowd roars as they see Yoko jump up to the ropes, dash across and hit Fury with the flying guillotine before he can make any attempt to evade. RDK jumps to one side, hears a yell from behind him, and turns to see TNT charging him, looking for a sneaky elimination. With perfect poise, RDK waits until the very last second…..and calmly lifts TNT up high into a back body drop. TNT flies through the air; he grabs the ropes and dangles, but before he can right himself BK thunders forward, initially looking for Yoko, and dropkicks him away from the ring and down to the floor.
Philip: TNT has been eliminated!
TNT bellows abuse at BK at the rest of the party in the ring, but none of them have time to pay him any attention. Even Latino can’t waste time gloating; he’s got a new problem to deal with in the form of Fury, whose only aim is to cause as much suffering as he possibly can. With the ring still crowded, Latino’s mobility is stifled and this puts him at a disadvantage against the devastatingly strong Fury. AK rallies to his side, recognising the severe threat that Fury poses; it quickly becomes clear that just trying to bludgeon him into submission is a non – starter, and that a more sophisticated strategy is needed. So Fury gets a double whip into Yoko and RDK, who are swapping blows on the other side of the ring; unfortunately they’re both so engrossed in their private contest that they fail to spot Fury being sent their way, and both are knocked to the ground. No sooner has Latino rid himself of the possessed Scot than he has Surion to contend with; Latino tries to hit a DDT but Surion reverses it and Latino takes the hit instead. Clsoe by, BK is using chained german supexes to good effect on AK; he manages a full three, but after the third AK changes tactics and wraps her legs around BK’s neck before he can get up, grounding him. She reaches forward and grabs one of BK;s arms, wenching back to up the pressure; Latino sees that BK is open for an attack and he kicks Surion away before rushing to the nearest corner. Latino signals for the Houston Hangover as the crowd goes nuts, but he hasn’t dealt with Surion thoroughly enough; before he can take flight Surion rockets to the corner and jumps up, striking with his elbow. The blow hits Latino in the forehead at his highest point, and it’s just enough to destabilise him enough for Surion to shove him backward off of the turnbuckle on to the floor.
Philip: Latino has been eliminated!

Surion has to take evasive action immediately to avoid sharing Latino’s fate; he’s been spotted by Yoko, who runs in to try the same thing on him. Surion backflips off of the turnbuckle; he lands safely, but is then nailed with a Fury Bomb by Jack. Jack drops down, pinning Surion with his weight, and takes aim with his gauntleted fist; he has enough strength to crush Surion’ skull in a single blow, and it’s only Kross’ prompt action that knocks Fury off and lets Surion get up. Elsewhere, BK is having “woman trouble” in stereo; Yoko and AK are having an “I can kick him harder than you can” contest, and it takes all BK’s considerable speed and skill to dodge the worst of the blows. The ladies get BK into a corner, but before they can do any serious damage RDK sneaks up from behind, puts an arm around each of their waists, and throws himself and the girls backward to the mat taking advantage of their petite stature. BK thanks RDK for his help by jumping up the turnbuckle and legdropping all three of them together, and as he rolls off Kross tries to repeat the trick; this time though everyone bails out and Kross smacks into the mat instead. The dynamics of the match are changing with every second; a huge brawl is the result as all the individual battles merge into one, with everybody trying to hit anybody in range. In the confusion, AK drives Kross back to the ropes; with a mighty kick she sends him backward over the ropes, but Kross holds on and gets his feet to the apron. Then from the other side of the ring, Yoko whips Surion into the pair; Kross keeps hold of the ropes, and grabbing the chance he hooks AK’s arms and lifts her up. AK struggles, but Surion catches on and pushes from behind so that between them Kross and Surion manage to bundle her over the ropes and drop her to the outside. It’s only a little drop, and AK rolls on landing so that she’s back on her feet. She stomps her foot in a mock tantrum, but it’s done with a smile, and Kross smiles back before spearing Surion through the ropes to get himself back into the ring.
Philip: Alicia Kitsune has been eliminated!
Surion and Kross untangle themselves; they’re about to start fighting again when Kross sees what’s going on across the ring. Yoko and RDK are both down, and deep gouges in the skin of their faces bear witness to where Fury has driven his pointed gauntlet fingers into them. BK is making a stand, but Fury’s not interested in victory, only in utter destruction. Surion and Kross see that they have to help; Surion moves first, rushing at Fury with a yell. Fury sneers and swats Surion away, but Kross is following right in his footsteps and even in his enhanced state Fury can’t block quickly enough. Kross hits Fury with a full – on crossbody; Fury falls back against the ropes, and Surion returns to batter Fury with all his strength. Enraged, Fury hits him with a huge punch; but now the other competitors are recovering, and there is a common purpose that binds them as they unite temporarily to combat the immediate threat. But even five on one, it’s a very tall order; Fury demonstrates just how much more powerful he has become by holding five of ACW’s best and brightest at bay. A crush develops at the ropes; RDK, Surion and BK try to bodily shift Fury over the ropes, but his size and strength makes this exceedingly difficult. The smaller Yoko and Kross stand back a little; they look at the mass of bodies, and then at one another. The crowd sense that something big is coming, and the noise level rises; Kross and Yoko back up to the ropes, and Yoko moves first; she runs forward, jumps up and over the group of men, and then drops down grabbing Fury’s neck as she passes. Yoko places her jump perfectly; she winces a bit as she lands butt – first on the apron, but her small stature means that she does not fall off. Fury is now draped backward over the ropes; Kross yells to the others, and they part as he dashes forward; Yoko lets go of Fury and rolls beneath Kross as he jumps forward, planting his feet into Fury’s back and finally sending him head first to the floor.
Philip: Jack Fury has been eliminated!
The audience cries out in alarm as Fury lands awkwardly; he lies still, and a ref on the outside confirms that he’s been knocked out. Satisfied that the threat has been dealt with, the remaining five are squaring off again, but suddenly the lights go off and the now familiar hellish design is sure enough presented on the big screen. Screams of pain, screams of terror and screams of contempt can be heard through the speakers. That voice returns to haunt the audience...

"The clock hath runneth...patience hath been worn...morality condescending...it is over...mark the epoch...have mercy on all those who judge."
The voice disappears but the screen remains pitch black and the lights remain dim. A state of bewilderment is evident throughout the crowd. A few moments of tension pass by and half the audience is expecting Fury to rise, Undertaker – style….until a huge pyro explodes from the tip of the ramp and heavy music plays...familiar music....it's Nobody's Real by Powerman 5000. Sure enough Torak has entered the arena and is slowly making his way to the ring with detrimental intentions. Cordelia follows closely behind as the audience shouts and boos furiously. Those still in the ring stand their ground; Torak jumps up to the apron, and Surion is the first to make a move; he charges, and tries to barge Torak back off. But Torak is like a block of steel, and Surion staggers from the impact before his legs fail him and he collapses; Torak jumps over the ropes and grabs the nearest person, which happens to be Yoko. She’s practically slammed through the canvas; this triggers a response from both RDK and BK who rush toward Torak to try and take him down. (Not that BK has any lost affection for Yoko; he’s solely concerned with maintaining his superiority.) Torak clotheslines both of them; Cordelia smiles as he stomps BK and piledrives him into a stupor, and then catches RDK’s swinging fist in his own huge hand, almost crushing it. RDK yells; Kross bravely runs and jumps onto Torak’s broad back, attacking the head, but Torak throws RDK to one side into the turnbuckle and reaches behind him. He grabs Kross and rips him away; Kross struggles, but he can’t free himself from Torak’s iron grip. Torak glares at Kross and then gives a very nasty smile; Kross is starting to turn blue in the face, and Cordelia takes a mic from a shocked ringside assistant.
Cordelia: Those of you in the ring, I suggest you all think twice before trying to save the priest here. We told you there would be repercussions….and unfortunately it’s poor Kross that’s going to suffer. Once Torak’s done with him he won’t be able to feed or dress himself, let alone wrestle…<br> The crowd is sounding very alarmed; Torak tightens his grip, and even the other superstars in the ring are at a loss as to what to do. But then the Chairman’s music hits briefly, and Ginger walks out on to the stage; he’s calm, but behind those eyes there is a mix of both anger….and interest.
Ginger: Don’t tell me, you two, I think I’ve been around long enough to know what this is all about. You want me to give you contracts, is that it?
Cordelia turns and smiles deviously.
Cordelia: There’s clearly no fooling you, Mr. Chairman.
Ginger rubs his chin.
Ginger: All right, you convinced me. Come to my office, and we’ll make it official….oh, and would Torak mind leaving my roster intact?
Torak looks at Kross, then at Cordelia; with a huge roar, he executes his MediEvil Driver on the cleric, knocking him senseless. Then with the other superstars still struggling to find their feet, he leaves the ring. Ginger looks at the flattened remains of his Battle Royal, and sighs.
Ginger: This match is clearly over…..I’ll have to deal with the World Title issue on Warfare. Get the medical personnel out here!
The crowd boos Torak and Cordelia furiously for ruining the #1 contender match; but this just makes Cordelia smile all the more. The medics pass by them as they rush to assist Kross, Surion, RDK, Yoko and BK, and the show finishes with a shot of Torak and Cordelia standing on the stage, gazing upon the chaos they’ve wrought.
Cordelia: Torak, honey….I think we’re going to like it here.
And with that she leads him out of the arena, the boos of the crowd still resounding throughout the building.
Fade to Black.
End of Show.

Show was good, the non contest thing makes me feel cheated almost... I want closure from a match like that, considering it was a battle royal. Otherwise it was good.
