The opening shot of Thunder shows the door to the Demon Pit; it swings open and the camera tracks inside to reveal Ridley sitting on his throne, with RDK and White Rose to either side of him. He is toying with a CD, idly spinning it on his fingers.
Rose: My Lord, is it time? You have been extremely patient in waiting for your chance to strike at those who oppose us……..
Ridley: Yes, Alexandra, the time is almost upon us. Soon we will cease to tolerate the insolence shown to us and to our fine Chairman……..by the time Thunder concludes, we will have made an indelible mark on this federation, and changed it forever.
Ridley rolls his eyes, and the CD in his hands begins to fizz and melt into liquid plastic………..
Ridley: All our problems will be taken care of. The Chairman is about to speak……..it begins……..NOW.
In the arena, “Evolution” by Motorhead hits and the crowd gives Chairman WCW98 a less than warm welcome as he makes his way to the ring. WCW glares at the crowd, but then his face shifts into an unpleasant smile as he steps forward to address the fans.
WCW: Well now, you all enjoyed yourselves last Nitro I presume? I would expect a bunch of trash like yourselves to find the plague of disrespectful behaviour that went on last week to be amusing.
The crowd cheers in a general affirmation of the statement. WCW gives them a little time and then goes on, the same vile expression twisting his features.
WCW: I’m glad you all had a good time…….but now that you’ve had your fun it’s time for payment to be made. And in my fed, the price of disobedience is high indeed.
WCW pauses briefly and turns to face the entrance.
WCW: Latino and DJ Blaze……………I know you two miscreants are lurking back there, so get your behinds into this arena RIGHT NOW!
There is another brief pause, and then Eddie G and Chyna’a theme hits; the crowd reacts massively as the tag team champs come out on to the entrance ramp. They shout and hype the crowd up, which drives WCW mad.
WCW: ENOUGH! SHUT UP ALL OF YOU! CUT THE MUSIC!
The music cuts out and the crowd reacts angrily; WCW doesn’t care.
WCW: You two thought you were pretty smart on Nitro, didn’t you? Well I don’t call an unprovoked attack on other employees of this company an intelligent move. Roll the footage!
Video is shown of Pain Inc’s assault on Monkeybaal, and the subsequent actions if Blaze and Latino. The fans cheer; WCW remains impassive. But as the footage ends, his unpleasant smile returns with a razor sharp edge.
WCW: You said it yourself Latino, “Bring it on”. And if you two are so keen to take on Ridley and Rose, who am I to stand in your way? So tonight, Pain Inc will make their official WCW tag team debut………..against the Tag Team Champions, Latino and DJ Blaze, with the titles on the line!
The fans react with a mixture of excitement and anger; Latino and Blaze look stunned, but they quickly regain their composure and gesture to WCW that they have no intention of giving up their belts. Then they turn and stride out of the arena - as they go Blaze speaks to Latino:
Blaze: I think the Chairman’s finally lost it. How can they possibly have a title shot in their first match? This stinks. I want an explanation from WCW, and I’m bloody well going to get one.
WCW watches them go and the devious smile on his face gets wider; the fans continue to give him heat all the way back up the ramp until he leaves the arena.

Match 1: Jack Fury vs RndyJack
The crowd is still getting over WCW’s announcement as preparations are made for the first match of the evening. Philip is just glad not to be the centre of the Chairman’s attention as he goes to work.
Philip: The first match tonight is a singles match, scheduled for one fall……..introducing first, making his WCW debut…………RndyJack!
RJ comes forward into the spotlights and the crowd cheers for the newcomer; RJ seems pleased by this and he waves to the fans as he comes down to the ring.
“I am” (AJ Styles’s Theme) hits and the crowd’s mood becomes a little less friendly.
Philip: And his opponent, from Greenock Scotland……..the HYT Champion, Jack Fury!
Fury enters with the HYT title held high; his confidence and arrogance are equally inflated, and he totally ignores the heat from the crowd. Despite having only wrestled one match in GFWCW, he looks down his nose at RJ and pays him little attention as he prowls around the ring. The referee takes the HYT belt and, with everything set, he signals for the bell.
Bell Rings.
RJ doesn’t give Fury time to settle in; he runs forward and immediately starts punching at his chest and head. Fury though is also a powerfully built man and he stands up to the blows with little trouble before retaliating with a massive right hook of his own that sends RJ to the mat. The referee warns Fury about the closed hand punch, but he doesn’t seem to be too concerned; instead he uses a german suplex before going for a quick pin. RJ is not about to lose so easily on his first match, and he kicks out with authority before two. The men rise and Fury returns to his Triple – H style punches, but RJ isn’t just going to stand around and be hit; instead he grabs Fury’s hand as he throws it forward and whips him into the ropes, delivering a Big Boot to Fury’s face on his return. The crowd cheers the move, and RJ’s confidence grows a little as he drops for his own first pin, which Fury breaks at 2. Fury is not best pleased with this turn of events, and moves to prove his own superiority by repeating the exact same whip – to – big boot combo on RJ. Fury pins a second time, but identical moves generate identical results – a 2 count.
Both men have a preference for power moves, but they are reasonably evenly matched in terms of weight so it is more difficult for either man to achieve a distinct advantage. The participants lock up in the centre of the ring; Fury tries to apply an armbar but RJ is too quick and slips aside. Thinking quickly, Fury grabs the other arm of RJ and whips him into the corner, following up with the stinger splash before RJ has a chance to move away. With his opponent contained, Fury delivers a quick succession of punches to the head; RJ slips down the post and Fury switches to using his foot against RJ’s gut. RJ is subdued enough for Fury to get in close, and he picks him up for a violent DVD. Once more Fury makes the cover; the referee reaches 2.5 but RJ forces up his shoulder and shows that he is not yet ready to give in. Fury is becoming increasingly frustrated, and he pulls RJ up roughly by the hair; now though RJ takes a chance, and he grabs his opponent by the head before administering a swift headbutt that makes both men take a couple of steps backward. RJ has braced himself for the impact, and he recovers quickly enough to take hold of Fury for a massive Samoan Drop that thrills the crowd. Fury is taken by surprise, and is pinned before he comes to his senses; he breaks out just milliseconds before the 3 count is made.
The contestants pull themselves up to their feet; both are showing signs of fatigue but neither is prepared to give the other an inch. RJ comes in punching, but Fury puts him in a head lock before dropping to the canvas and driving RJ face first into it. Fury looks to cover, but RJ rolls away before he has the chance. Fury comes to his feet and RJ goes for his Jack knife finisher (a clothesline from hell); Fury just barely moves aside, but RJ springs back from the ropes and nails Fury before he can turn around. RJ raises his arms in celebration before dropping to the mat for the cover; the delay though is critical, and Fury kicks away again just before 3. RJ is angry with himself and punches the mat; while he is thus distracted Fury delivers a cracking blow to his head that knocks him to the ground. Fury moves in for a texas cloverleaf, but RJ will not be fooled again and he puts some distance between his foe and himself. The head blow however has left him somewhat dizzy, and the increase in his reaction times proves to be his undoing; he mis-times a second clothesline attempt, and Fury catches him to deliver his Fury Effect (Evenflow DDT) finisher. RJ has no reply, and the referee makes the 1-2-3 count to conclude the match.
Philip: Here is your winner………..Jack Fury!
Fury stands up and the referee raises his arm; he shows no particular delight at his win, since he had expected such a result all along. He disregards RJ, not even bothering to check if he is ok, and the crowd is not at all enamoured with his behaviour. Fury couldn’t care less about the crowd, and it shows; he is already thinking about his next victory as he walks away up the ramp to the locker rooms.

Segment: Double or Nothing
Blaze walks down the corridor, with a distinctly pissed off look on her face. She reaches the Chairman’s office to find RDK blocking the door.
Blaze: Excuse me RDK, I need to speak to the Chairman urgently.
RDK: No can do, Blaze. The Chairman is extremely busy and doesn’t want to be disturbed. And that’s Commissioner RDK to you, young lady.
RDK smirks; Blaze looks at him coolly and turns to leave, then suddenly grabs RDK’s arm and whips him hard against the opposite wall. Before RDK can react Blaze slips into the Chairman’s office and deftly locks the door behind her. The door slam, along with RDK’s furious shouting, causes WCW98 to look up from his desk; he is clearly annoyed but remains calm as Blaze approaches him.
Blaze: Mr Chairman, I’d like an explanation please. Latino and I have no problem with defending our tag titles, but against Pain Inc? They’ve only just formed a team, they’ve never had a tag match before……there are several other teams who’ve worked hard and deserve a title shot more than they do.
WCW: Evidently, my dear, you’re deaf as well as stupid……….it doesn’t matter whether they’re having their first match or their 50th, I am the Chairman and I will set matches as I please, with any stipulations that I want. Now if I were you, I’d go and get ready for your last match as a champion.
Blaze’s eyes flash with anger and she cannot contain herself any longer.
Blaze: All right WCW, I’ve had enough of this. Have you forgotten the reason that you started this federation? You were sick of the way Gamer treated you, said that he never gave you the respect you deserved…..we gave you a chance even though you had never been in charge of a fed before. They say that absolute power corrupts absolutely – I never believed that until now, but you’ve turned into the man you hated the most in the whole world!
WCW looks furious as Blaze finishes her rebuke……..
Blaze: As for the tag match, Latino and I will give it everything the way we always do. Frankly I couldn’t care less about the tag titles……..I’m rapidly becoming of the opinion that anything you can give or take isn’t worth having.
Blaze turns to leave, but pulls up short as WCW speaks softly and with menace:
WCW: You’ve had your say Blaze, now let me have mine. Since you don’t consider the titles to be of value, I’ll give you something to fight for that will concern you……….your job.
Blaze turns back to see WCW smiling coldly at her.
WCW: That’s right, you heard me correctly. If you and Latino retain the titles I’ll let bygones be bygones and forget everything that just happened here. But if you should by some chance lose……………..you’re history. Your contract will be terminated, and there will be no way back – you, Danielle Blaze, will be barred from WCW for life.
The two stare at one another for several moments as WCW lets the reality of what he has just said sink in.
WCW (quietly): Now get out of my office. At once.
Blaze is evidently shocked by this turn of events, but she does not let the Chairman see her nervousness; instead she turns and walks swiftly out of the office and away down the corridor, passing a smug RDK who has overheard everything. After a little distance Latino comes scooting up behind and takes up position beside her.
Latino: So what did he say? Are we still facing Pain Inc tonight for the titles? (he notices that Blaze looks a little pale)Hey mamacita, are you ok?
Blaze hesitates a little before she responds, but she composes herself to give Latino a warm smile.
Blaze: I’m fine. The match is still on………..but we can take these two, right? As long as we’re together, we’ll be ok.
Latino: Damn straight. No matter how brutal Ridley and Rose are, they can’t divide a dream team like you and I!
Blaze is careful not to let Latino see her biting her lip as the duo move away down the corridor, and the scene fades out.

Match 2: TV Title #1 contender Match (Fatal Four Way) – Yoko Satoshi vs Spider vs BK London vs GooeyGarth (BK’s Entrance: Credit BK London)
The crowd is pumped up following the opening match, and the prospect of a Fatal Four Way is an appealing one.
Philip: The next match will be a Fatal Four Way Match – the winner will be the first person to pin any one of their opponents, and that person will become the number one contender for the TV Title!
”Flower of Carnage” hits
Philip: Introducing first……..from Okinawa Japan……..Yoko Satoshi!
Yoko walks confidently out into the arena, buoyed up by her previous victory over Dream; she smiles at the crowd and waves to them.
Tonight the Stars Revolt by Powerman 500 hits
Philip: From Pluto…………Spider!
Spider has been out of action for a little while, and he is keen to get back down to business. He regards the petite Yoko with some amusement, which makes Yoko rather cross.
Welcome to the Jungle by Guns and Roses hits
Philip: The third entrant…………..GooeyGarth!
Gooey comes down to the ring without delay; he is still needled by his loss to V3 at Uncensored and is determined to make amends.
There is a delay and at first no one is sure what is happening; then the Thunder arena goes dark and “Warrior” by Lloyd Banks plays. A big pyro hits and BK London starts walking to the ring. The crowd doesn't know who he is seeing that he is a new face in GF WCW, so their reaction is ambivalent.
Philip: And finally, coming to the ring weighing in at 217 pounds from Brooklyn, New York, making his GF WCW debut……….. BK London!
BK London slides into the ring and he looks nastily at Philip, who looks more than a little nervous. BK London grabs the mic from him and the announcer quickly leaves the ring.
BK London: Alright cut the music. See tonight all of you will witness the wrestling skills of BK London. The best damn wrestler in the whole GF WCW, better than Skurai, better than Rey McFoley, better than Latino, hell, even better than your WCW Champion Bladeshadow or that crazy son of a ***** Ridley!
The crowd is less than impressed by such a proud boast without evidence to back it up, and they boo and jeer BK.
BK London: Shut the hell up, can't you hicks see I am trying to talk?
Crowd (losing patience rapidly): Asshole, Asshole, Asshole !!!
BK London: Let me get this clear to each and every one of you, I am not someone to mess with. Just watch tonight, tonight these three losers will be the first victims of BK London.
BK folds his arms and smirks; the 3 people in question look at one another, and then as one they launch themselves at the vain superstar. The referee just shrugs and signals for the bell to make the start official.
Bell Rings.

BK is driven to the mat by the combined force of his opponents; Spider and Gooey pull back a little and can’t contain their amusement as BK receives a flurry of kicks from Yoko. BK has been caught on the hop, and Yoko goes for an optimistic pin; Spider though pulls her away, and the pair battle one another, strength against speed. Gooey meanwhile sees that his opponents are occupied, and he moves in on BK; BK is now more alert and the pair lock together in the centre of the ring. BK uses shoulder thrusts to batter Gooey, before hitting a northern lights suplex; he follows up with a powerbomb – to – facebuster combo, and dives into a pin. The referee reaches 2, but then the count is interrupted by Spider, who breaks off from punching Yoko in the corner to split up the pin. As all three men are on their knees or lying on the mat, Yoko runs forward and “leapfrogs” over Spider to drive her feet into Gooey’s face; Yoko rolls him up but BK pulls her away before the referee even has a chance to start counting.
A rather untidy four way scrap breaks out, and the participants punch and kick at whoever is in range. In the confusion, Gooey picks up BK and throws him out of the ring through the ropes; Spider catches on and does the same with Yoko. Yoko gets up and tries to return to the ring, but BK decides he wants a piece of her and he pulls her back off of the apron. Yoko and BK fight on the outside, as in the ring Gooey and Spider are busting out powerbombs and various slams and suplexes, each trying to wear the other down. Eventually Gooey pulls off one of his trademark piledrivers, and he pins; Spider breaks out just after 2. Spider is given a wake up call by the near fall, and steps up his attack; he whips Gooey to the ropes and hits a clothesline from hell, following up with a chokeslam. Spider then pins, but the sound of the slam attracts the attention of BK and Yoko, and they abandon their one – on – one battle to re – enter the ring and pull Spider away from Gooey. As Gooey lies stunned, Yoko and BK attack Spider 2 on 1; together they are a formidable force but Spider’s size and power counts against them, and he impresses everyone with a double chokeslam on his opponents. Spider is spoilt for choice and opts to pin Yoko, but a somewhat recovered Gooey returns the favour and breaks the pin just before 3.
Trying to keep track of 3 other people has taken its toll on all the competitors; Yoko rolls away from Spider and decides to concentrate on the still – dizzy Gooey. As he tries to stand, Yoko faces away and uses her “accidental” back kick to his groin; Gooey drops to his knees and Yoko giggles at the expression on his face. BK sees an opportunity and he uses a running Enziguri to floor Yoko, before homing in on Gooey and looking to use the shining wizard. Just as he prepares to do so, however, Spider comes in and takes hold of his opponent for a reverse DVD. Spider covers, but Gooey drags himself over and breaks the pin at 2.5. Spider is annoyed, and he lift Gooey above his head before hurling him out of the ring; BK runs in for a dropkick, but Spider just manages to avoid it and BK is caught awkwardly by the ropes. Yoko pulls herself back to her feet and moves to attack the stranded BK, but Spider takes her by surprise and lifts her up to drop her out of the ring and on to her head. BK just about manages to extract himself from the ropes, but it is too little, too late; with his opponents taken out of play, Spider gathers up BK and hits the Demon Bomb. The impact is huge and BK is knocked senseless; Spider makes a lazy pin and smiles as the referee counts 1-2-3.
Philip: Here is your winner, and official #1 contender for the TV title………Spider!
Spider stands up and looks dismissively at BK; outside the ring Yoko and Gooey are both picking themselves up, and Spider taunts them both as the referee raises his hand. Gooey shouts back angrily before stalking away to the locker rooms; Yoko does not respond to Spider’s jibes, but she gives him a long hard stare that makes Spider feel just a little uncomfortable, as if his name were being added to a list. BK comes around, and he is absolutely furious; before anyone can stop him he slides out of the ring, grabs a chair and smashes it against Spider’s back. The crowd doesn’t particularly like Spider, but they like BK even less, and he gets a major amount of heat for his actions. BK retreats quickly after his attack; Spider is distinctly unamused as he watches BK go, and he determines to make an example of him at the earliest possible opportunity.

Segment: Yoko’s Birthday Surprise
Yoko is walking back to her locker room after her match; she is disappointed at her loss but Thunder also coincides with her birthday, and she is looking forward to opening the presents and cards that she has received from her friends and family in Japan. However as she passes by various crew members and other members of the roster, they seem to be strangely amused; a few even give her wolf whistles. Puzzled, she enters her room and instantly realises that something is wrong.
Her laptop computer, which she left packed away, is switched on; Yoko quickly heads to the table and discovers to her alarm that someone has hacked their way into the machine. Word is open, and Yoko restores the window to find a message waiting for her:
“As it’s your birthday, I thought it about time that the world saw more of you……in fact all of you. In this country, we call it our “birthday suit”.
Below is a link to Yoko’s profile page on GFWCW’s web site……..Yoko feels a little sick in her stomach as she has a suspicion of what is coming, and with trepidation she clicks the link.
The result is worse than she had feared; her head has been photoshopped on to a selection of extremely graphic porn pictures, along with an unpleasantly realistic sound file of someone having a major orgasm. Yoko is mortified and cannot help but cry out in shock; suddenly from the corridor just outside her room she hears snorts of laughter. Yoko rushes out of the room and bursts into the corridor; at the end she sees GWD, laughing cruelly at his own prank. He doesn’t have enough courage to stand around and face his victim; instead he high tails from the scene, leaving Yoko genuinely angry for the first time since her arrival in GFWCW. But Yoko calms herself and wipes away her tears, and her expression becomes as hard as ice.
Yoko: Laugh all you want, GWD…….if you think I’m going to be browbeaten by this you are completely wrong. I don’t get mad……….I get even. And I’ll do it where it will hurt you the most……in the ring.
With that, Yoko turns and goes back to start the long process of wiping out GWD’s “surprise”.

Match 3: White Rose vs Tyd (Credit: Latino)
Philip: This match is scheduled for one fall! Coming to the ring from Hickory, NC….Tyd412!
Back in Black by AC/DC starts playing as Tyd emerges through the curtain enthusiastically. He is playing to the crowd as they continue to cheer more and more; Tyd runs down the aisle and slaps hands with fans along the way.
Philip: And his opponent from Saint Petersburg, Russia…The White Rose!
Scars of Time by Yasunori Mitsuda starts playing as The White Rose comes down to the ring. The fans look at her with a mixture of awe and fear as they see the intensity in her eyes. They do not know if it is her recent alliance with Ridley but she has definitely become much more focused and vindictive in recent shows.
The Bell Rings.
Tyd and Rose walk to the center of the ring but Tyd’s chivalrous nature makes it difficult for him to make the first attack on a woman. Rose takes this opportunity and smacks him on the face. She then proceeds to punch him in the stomach and goes for a double arm DDT but Tyd gets out of the move; the spell is broken and Tyd realises that he cannot afford to treat Rose differently from any other opponent. He gives her a dropkick to the face sending her to the mat. As she climbs the ropes to stand back up Tyd clotheslines her at speed sending both wrestlers over the top rope to the outside. The fans are cheering loudly now for Tyd as the referee has begun his count at 1. He climbs the barrier and waits for Rose to get up. He jumps off for a cross bodyblock but Rose catches him, to the utter amazement of everyone present. As he holds him in her grasp she has a evil look on her face as she throws Tyd backwards sending him crashing into the steel steps behind her. The referee has now counted at 5 as Rose slowly gets back up; Tyd is evidently in immense pain. She kicks him in the stomach and slams his head against the steps. Rose climbs the barrier herself and performs a moonsault on Tyd. The fans are now cheering loudly for Tyd as both wrestlers are lying outside. Rose slowly gets back up as the referee has just reached 7. She enters the ring and goes back outside to stop the count. Tyd takes this opportunity to punch Rose in the stomach twice. He grabs her and pulls her against the barrier. Tyd grabs Rose and performs a stalling vertical suplex. He spins around slowly and finally falls down to the hard outside mats. Tyd gets back up slowly and throws Rose inside the ring.
Tyd climbs the turnbuckle and goes for an elbow drop but Rose rolls over. Both wrestlers are now lying in the mat in exhaustion from the short battle outside of the ring. Rose uses the ropes as leverage to get up and leans up against the turnbuckle. At the same time, Tyd is also getting back to his feet and notices Rose is leaning against the turnbuckle. He runs and performs a Stinger Splash on Rose. As Rose is dizzy from the splash Tyd gives her a powerslam to the mat. He goes for the pin 1-2-2.75 and Rose kicks out just before the 3. Tyd rolls over exhausted wondering what in the hell he has to do to win this match. Rose and Tyd get back up as they exchange punches back and forth. She finally plants the double arm DDT. Rose somehow picks Tyd up again and drops his stomach on her knee. She puts on the Dragon Sleeper and keeps it on. Tyd is trying his hardest not to tap but Rose tightens the move more and more. Faced with option of passing out or submitting, Tyd opts to conserve his strength and taps out; Rose drops him to the mat roughly and the referee signals for the bell.
Philip: Here is your winner, via submission….The White Rose!
Rose stands over her fallen opponent in victory as the fans boo and throw garbage into the ring. As Rose leaves through the curtains Tyd stands up holding his stomach; the fans cheer louder than ever despite his loss. He raises his arm in response to the crowd’s cheer.
Camera cuts off for commercial break.

Segment: Promises, Promises……..
Latino is walking through the corridors; as he turns a corner he finds that the lighting in this part of the building appears to be malfunctioning, and the illumination is very dim. Latino walks a few meters before he is able to make out a wall at the end of the hallway.
Latino: Must’ve taken a wrong turn……………all these places look the same to me.
Latino turns around to find himself face to face with Ridley; Latino is more than a little surprised since Ridley almost never leaves the Demon Pit during a show unless he has a match to attend.
Ridley: Oh my, if it isn’t one half of our illustrious tag champions. I’m afraid I will be removing that title belt from your waist tonight………and unfortunately for you, the extraction will be most…..unpleasant…….
Ridley stares a hole into Latino, but Latino meets his fearsome gaze head on.
Latino: Don’t waste your breath man…….you and I, we’ve seen how each other works…..you know that I can take anything that you care to give out, I can take an awful lot of punishment in the ring.
Ridley just continues to stare, with a strange faraway look on his face.
Ridley: Yes Latino, I know you…….I know more about you than you realise. You may be ready and willing to face Alexandra and I, but what about your partner?
Latino flinches just a fraction and Ridley’s smile grows a little.
Latino: Blaze is one tough lady……..you’d be stupid to underestimate her. And anyway, as long as I’m by her side, she’ll be ok. (Looking directly at Ridley): No one, and I mean NO ONE, is going to cause her harm while I’m around, and that’s a promise.
Ridley reaches out and grabs Latino by the shoulders, pulling him close so that they are nose to nose………<br> Ridley (softly, but with incredible menace): You should be very careful about making promises, Latino…….one day you’ll make one that you can’t keep. But I’ll give you a promise, from me to you, with a cast iron guarantee; before this night is over I will show you a secret part of the grand truth. I will teach you, yes you will come to understand that the most intense pain, the very deepest suffering, comes from wounds that cannot be seen by others, and which can never be healed……….
The lights fail and the corridor is plunged into darkness; after a few seconds the lights return, fully lit and as if there was never anything wrong with them at all, and Ridley is gone. Latino feels an involuntary chill run along his spine; he shakes it off, but does not waste any time in retracing his steps back to the main corridor.
Fade out.

Match 4: V3 (with Bladeshadow) Vs PDogg
The video segment unsettles the audience, but they are quickly back up to full volume as Git Up by D12 booms out into the arena.
Philip: The next match is a singles match scheduled for one fall……..entering the arena, accompanied by the WCW Champion Bladeshadow……….V3!
The fans react loudly to V3 as he comes into view, and he holds his arms aloft in a salute to them on his way down to the ring. Blade follows a few paces behind and is pleased to see the fans’ reaction to his tag partner and friend.
Wait and Bleed by Slipknot hits
Philip: And his opponent, from Cameron North Carolina…….the US Champion, PDogg!
PDogg’s actions on Nitro have not gone unnoticed, and the crowd boos PDogg; however he seems not to be bothered by this, and keeps his eyes on V3 and Bladeshadow. PDogg climbs into the ring and continues to glare at V3, determined to crush any potential challengers to his title by any means necessary. The referee makes his final check and the signal is given for the match to begin.
Bell Rings.
V3 and PDogg are evenly matched in terms of size; V3 has a slightly longer reach than PDogg and he puts it to good use, landing a few blows on PDogg whilst avoiding the worst of PDogg’s own attack. V3 shows that he means business, whipping PDogg against the ropes and nailing him on his return with a spinning heel kick. PDogg barely hits the mat before V3 follows through with a leg drop to his neck and makes a cover; PDogg responds quickly and is out before the 2 count. The pair rush to meet each other again, and PDogg lands a Harley Race Knee that knocks the breath from V3; he continues with a selection of kicks and knees to V3’s gut before diverting his attack with a neckbreaker. PDogg makes a pin of his own, and V3 kicks away at 2. PDogg is keen to progress with his strategy, and he uses a dropkick to V3’s knee to eliminate his slight height advantage. With V3 on one knee, PDogg takes a run up before launching into a second dropkick, this one aimed at V3’s head; V3 falls sideways and PDogg just misses, instead dropping his weight on to V3’s legs.
The two pull themselves back to their feet; V3 has a little pain in his knee but it is not enough to affect him significantly. PDogg homes in on V3 and tries to grab him for one of his favoured suplex moves, but V3 has seen PDogg use this tactic before and he keeps mobile so that PDogg cannot get close enough for the move. The “dog and mouse” game continues for a few moments; then suddenly V3 turns and clotheslines PDogg before he has a chance to prepare a counterattack. With PDogg down, V3 grabs his right arm and left leg, bending them back behind his opponent for the invertigo hold. Pdogg grimaces, but he stays cool and takes deep breaths; with a surge of explosive power he pulls his leg free and twists back, holding V3’s arm so that as his own arm comes back to a normal position, V3’s is in turn bent awkwardly. PDogg is now facing V3, and as the two rise to their feet PDogg uses his free hand to punch V3. V3 is temporarily stunned, and PDogg releases his hold to run forward and deliver a bulldog that drives V3 into the mat at some speed. PDogg pins, and the count reaches 2.5 before V3 responds.
PDogg has the upper hand in the match, but as he tries to capitalise on his advantage Slow Chemical by Finger 11 hits, and PDogg is distracted as he looks around for any incoming attack from Kane. V3, however, does not pay the music any heed since he has Bladeshadow on the outside keeping an eye on things. As PDogg stands and scans the arena, V3 spears him powerfully against one of the corner posts; PDogg is slumped against the post and V3 takes the opportunity presented to hit a bronco buster. Blade keeps watch, but there is no sign of Kane and the match continues, having now swung in V3’S favour; he pulls PDogg out of the corner and delivers his trademark IGS to the evident delight of the crowd. V3 pins, and he also gets a 2.5 count – the crowd is getting behind V3 and he feels their support making him stronger. PDogg is not going to go down easily, and he avoids V3’s next attack to hit his PDG; he covers, but the crowd roars for V3 to respond and he does not disappoint them, raising a shoulder just before the 3 count. PDogg is angered by the crowd’s support for V3 and he taunts them as he pulls V3 up; his break in concentration though proves to be extremely costly. V3 breaks the hold and lands a couple of blows before setting up for his Triple Inverter; he drives home the move with all his remaining strength and PDogg takes a critical hit. V3 pins, and PDogg is just a little too slow to break free; the referee hits the mat for 3 just milliseconds before he kicks out.
Philip: Here is your winner………….V3!
PDogg is absolutely mad at the loss; he grabs the referee and it looks as if he will strike him. Before he can do so however, V3 pulls him away; PDogg and V3 start to fight again, but Bladeshadow enters the ring and PDogg quickly backs down. As he leaves, PDogg taunts V3 with the belt, calling him a coward for using Blade to cover his back; V3 doesn’t pay any attention to him and concentrates on thanking the crowd for their support. As he returns to the locker rooms with Bladeshadow however, he is aware that Blade cannot help him in the title match itself, and he knows he will have to be at the top of his game if he is to stand up to both PDogg and Kane.

Segment: Faith in a Friend
In the locker rooms, Blaze is getting ready for her match; she leans on the wall, looking at herself in the mirror and deep in thought. There is a knock on the door, and Commissioner Gingerdude comes in.
Ginger: Blaze, are you OK? I just heard what that bastard WCW did………<br> Blaze: Well obviously I’m less than thrilled by possibility of losing my position here, but if I’m honest I knew I was running a risk by confronting the Chairman. Someone has to stand up to him – I’ve never let anyone disrespect me before, and I’m not going to start now.
Ginger: How did Latino react to the news?
Blaze: I haven’t told him, and I’m not going to. (Looking at Ginger) And you’re not going to tell him either. He’s trying to hide it from me, but I know he’s already concerned about going up against Ridley and Rose……...the last thing he needs is another weight on his mind.
Ginger: I wish there was something I could do to help you…..I’ve been given these commissioner powers but I don’t really know why CJayC chose me. I mean I was just a jobber in GFWWE…….sometimes I wonder if WCW isn’t right, that I have no business being here at all.
Blaze walks over and takes Ginger’s hand.
Blaze: Don’t believe a word that WCW tells you………he just wants you to get into a negative frame of mind. If it makes any difference Ginger, I have faith in you…….when the right moment for action comes along I know you’ll be able to stand up to the Chairman, Ridley, and anyone else that tries to corrupt this fed. I just hope I’m here to see it……but now that I think about it, there is a way you can help Latino and I.
Ginger: What? What can I do?
Blaze: Our biggest problem is that we’re outnumbered – Ridley and Rose have RDK to back them up, and you know he’ll be just itching to interfere if things don’t go according to plan. So we need someone to make sure that RDK is occupied during our match – remember that he can’t overturn any decision that you make, so if you were, say, to set a bunch of security to follow him if he leaves his locker room after his match with Skurai…….he wouldn’t be able to do anything about it.
Ginger: Oh, of course……it’s hard to launch a sneak attack if you’re being tailed by big blokes in bright coloured polo shirts.
Blaze: So do you think you can handle that then?
Ginger: No problem. I’ll attend to it right now.
Ginger opens the door and steps out; before he goes he looks back at Blaze once more.
Ginger: Blaze……….Good Luck. And Thanks.
Ginger closes the door and the scene fades to black.

Match 5: RDK vs Skurai (Credit: White Rose)
The sold out crowd at GF WCW have anxiously awaited this match. Any sense of restlessness is purged from the arena as the young ring announcer Philip Jones puts the microphone up to his mouth.
Philip: Ladies and Gentleman, this singles match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Sacramento, California……….. Skurai!
New Noise by Refused hits the arena and the crowd are on their feet for Skurai, still running hot from his victory of Pdogg. Skurai walks down the ring with a look of determination and purpose, as he walks his cape flaps behind him and at its height the cheers become deafening. Skurai sees this match as a chance for a small measure of revenge for the Uncensored screwjob. As he enters the ring he moves to his corner and takes off his cape in a methodical manner.
Philip: Next from Yellowknife, Canada, he is co-commissioner of GF WCW, Randy Dallas Kanyon, The Machoman RDK!
Evolution by Motorhead hits the arena and RDK appears through the curtain, he is laid back, good looking, athletic, cocky, and the fans hate him for it. He struts down the aisle to a chorus of boos and jeers. As he walks down he sees a particular sign, Gary for Commissioner, RDK grabs the sign from the kid and rips it in half. He enters the ring and raises his arms and the fans begin a noticeable A**hole chant. Philip exits the ring and takes his seat at ringside.
Bell Rings.
The two combatants meet in the ring and stare each other down, RDK trash talks Skurai, but Skurai is unaffected. RDK begins to talk more, calling Skurai every name in the book, but Skurai stands his ground measuring RDK up. RDK finally pushes Skurai and Skurai responds with a succession of three iron right hands, Skurai follows up with an Irish whip to the turnbuckle and a powerful Clothesline. RDK is quick to get back to his feet only to be hit by another clothesline from Skurai, the crowd has started a "Randy Sucks" chant and RDK wisely slides to the outside of the ring. Skurai comes out after him and hits him with two right hands before attempting an Irish whip to the steel steps, but RDK reverses and slings Skurai into the steps. Skurai rises and backs up to the guardrail just in time to see RDK coming for him; Skurai gives RDK a back body drop over the guardrail and into the crowd. RDK rises to his feet and is suplexed back over the guardrail, the referee’s count is at 7 and Skurai gets back into the ring, but he will not cease his attack as he sees RDK rising to his feet. Skurai scales the turnbuckle and jumps of for a double axhandle, but RDK is just fast enough to give him a dropkick square to the Skurai’s face . This dropkick opens Skurai’s wound from his war at Uncensored and he begins to bleed profusely. RDK rises to his feet and picks up the steel steps and just as Skurai rises RDK hits him with the steps. Skurai is losing blood at a scary rate and RDK picks him up and slides him into the ring. RDK poses in the ring and the crowd boo him, he responds and gives them the finger, a large A**hole chant is renewed.
RDK picks up Skurai and gives him a stiff neck breaker. RDK is enjoying himself now and squats down to prepare for the Rock Bottom. Skurai arises and turns around, RDK meets him and puts him in Rock Bottom position, but Skurai powers out and hits RDK with a thunderous DDT. Both men are down and are hurt, they stumble to their feet at the same time and RDK goes to punch, but Skurai hits him with his variation of the RKO and covers with one arm on RDK’s chest. The Referee counts, as do the fans, 1…………2……….but RDK pulls one shoulder up. There is a slight "Skurai" chant in the front row and Skurai makes it to his feet well before RDK does and gets his second wind, he lays hard punches into RDK and hits him with a Death Valley Driver, instead of pinning RDK he goes to the opposite corner of the ring and, with blood streaming down his face, signals for the Gore. RDK gets to his feet and in an act of pure instinct pulls the Referee in front of himself softening the blow. RDK and the Referee are both down and Skurai lifts RDK up and positions him for a power bomb, but RDK drops to his knees and hits Skurai with a low blow, causing Skurai to fall to his knees. RDK slides out of the ring and pushes Philip down and steals the chair he was sitting in, he folds the chair into weapon mode and slides back into the ring just as Skurai stands up and bashes him on the head with an earsplitting chairshot. The fans are booing wildly and chanting "Randy Sucks" louder, RDK responds by yelling Shut up and hitting Skurai in the back with the chair and sliding the chair out of the ring. RDK awakens the Referee and pins Skurai. The Referee counts 1……2……. But Skurai in an act of pure instinct puts his foot on the rope.
RDK curses loudly and gets up to his feet, Skurai’s blood all across his chest. Skurai staggers to his feet just in time to be hit by a thunderous Rock Bottom from RDK. RDK does not pin Skurai and goes for yet another Rock Bottom for an exclamation point, but Skurai fights back; he punches RDK and RDK responds with a kick, which is in turn blocked by Skurai. Skurai blocks RDK’s kick and pushes him down and as the crowd cheers him on he locks RDK into his version of the Sharpshooter, The Suffering. RDK screams in pain and the crowd cheers while RDK struggles for the ropes wildly and after a short struggle appears to get there, but Skurai pulls him back to the middle of the ring. RDK is starting to lose strength and crawls slowly, Skurai pulls on his legs tightening his grip, but RDK is the stronger and makes it to the ropes. The Referee orders Skurai to release the hold and he does. Undaunted Skurai gets up and goes to the top rope, pauses for a second to measure the distance and hits RDK with a flying elbow drop. Skurai goes for an aggressive pin, The Referee counts 1………..2……… RDK kicks and is greeted with a barrage of boos. Skurai is ready to finish the match, he picks up RDK, positions him, and hits with a furious Sit-down Powerbomb for the pin. The Referee counts, as do the crowd 1………2………and somehow RDK raises his arm up. Skurai and the crowd can’t believe it, the crowd boos loudly and Skurai readies for the end. Skurai goes to the other side of the ring and signals for the second gore of the night, as he charges towards RDK, RDK rises, lets out a sinister super kick, and both men fall to the mat. Skurai is down on the mat, which is now crimson in many areas, and RDK quickly staggers to his feet and signals for the end. He scales the turnbuckle and jumps off, defying gravity with a perfect moonsault into the pin. The Referee counts 1……….2………..3!!!!!! Skurai kicks out seconds too late.
The Bell rings and the referee raises RDK’s hand in the air and the crowd boos ever louder, and Philip enters the ring.
Philip: The winner of this match by pinfall, Randy Dallas Kanyon, Commissioner RDK!
The crowds start a loud A**hole chant and RDK smirks confidently in the ring, raises his arms and leaves the ring and heads to the back. Skurai battered, bloodied, and disappointed gets to his feet to the cheers of the fans. He is very disappointed at his loss, but leaves to the back angry at himself and most of all thirsting for revenge. It is not over he thinks to himself, his thirst for vengeance will not be quenched anytime soon.
Match 6: Sylvian “Pay Day” Mint vs Bladeshadow (with V3)
A now familiar limousine rolls into the arena to herald the beginning of match 6; the crowd is already taunting Sylvian Mint before he gets out of the vehicle. As always he is immaculately presented, and he struts to the ring with an air of superiority hanging around him as Rock and Roll All Night by Kiss resonates throughout the arena.
Philip: This is a singles match, set for one fall………..presenting first, from Hollywood California………Sylvian “Pay Day” Mint!
Mint strides around the ring; he gets a big reaction from the crowd, and he responds by flipping them off in a very rude manner.
Then “The Game” by Drowning Pool hits, and the crowd is on its feet as the formidable figure of the WCW Champion materialises at the entrance to the arena……….
Philip: And his opponent, being accompanied by V3…………the WCW Champion, Bladeshadow!
Blade comes down to the ring in a calm, collected frame of mind; he smiles and acknowledges the fans, and V3 wishes him good luck with a pat on the back before Blade slides into the ring. Sylvian is still consumed by anger at his title loss to Bladeshadow, and he taunts his foe to try and unsettle him; Blade though just regards Sylvian coolly, empowered by the knowledge that he has beaten him before. The referee takes the belt from Blade, and then without further delay he makes the call for the match to begin.

Bell Rings.
The enmity that existed between Mint and Blade in the run up to Uncensored shows no evidence of having cooled in the time since then; Blade and Mint clash together and their rivalry is as bitter as it ever was. The pair exchange blows, and Mint gets the better of this initial contest; he links a series of blows to soften Blade up and then swings a stiff arm to floor him. Mint kicks at Blade savagely, hungry for revenge; Blade protects himself with his arms and rolls away. As Blade stands up Mint rushes forward for a clothesline, but Blade counters with a tornado kick and it is Mint who hits the mat. Seeing that Mint is near the post, Blade climbs up and hits a flying elbow drop; he pins, and the extra height from the drop is sufficient to earn Blade a 2 count. Staying in he corner, Blade pulls Mint over and sits him on the post as he climbs up, looking for a superplex; Mint though uses the situation to his advantage and pushes Blade off from the second rope, quickly following through with an untidy splash, also from the second rope. Mint hooks the leg for the pin, and Blade bucks free just before 2.
Both men show little sign of fatigue as they move around the ring; Blade swings energetic roundhouse kicks at his opponent as Mint ducks and dodges, slipping in an occasional punch. Eventually Blade makes an error, and Mint catches his leg in mid kick; Mint holds the leg and pulls toward him to flip Blade down on to his back. Mint takes hold of Blade’s other foot and turns him over into a Boston Crab; Blade grimaces as Mint leans back into the move, evidently pleased with the pain he is causing. Although Mint is using most of his strength, Blade shows no sign of tapping out; instead he composes himself and methodically claws his way to the ropes. Mint pulls him back a little way, but Blade actually laughs and asks him if this is the best he can manage. This has the desired effect; the crowd jeers Mint, who shouts angrily and finally slips up, releasing one of Blade’s legs to gesture at them. Blade instantly wrenches himself free, and before Mint can respond he grabs him for an inverted DDT. Blade makes an optimistic pin, and gets 2 before Mint frees himself.
Mint is absolutely livid, and he channels this strength into a full – on assault on Blade; he hits a german suplex and waits for Blade to rise before hitting a DDT of his own. Blade is dazed, and as he lies on his back Mint taunts the crowd before hitting his five knuckle shuffle. As he is doing this however, there is a cry from the crowd as Kane comes storming down to the ring, taking V3 by surprise as he watches his partner with concern; the two begin a pitched battle that brings some of the fans a close – up view of the action when Kane hurls V3 into the front rows over the safety barriers. Mint makes a cover on Blade, and he easily gets a 3 duration – the only problem is that the referee is distracted by the melee on the outside, and so fails to spot Mint’s action. Mint yells furiously at the ref, who quickly slides in for the count, but the delay has given Blade a crucial recovery period and he kicks out just before 3. A crash from outside the ring takes the attention of those in it, and Blade glances over to check on his partner; V3 breaks off momentarily from slamming Kane’s head against a chair to give a brief thumbs up. As he does so though, he sees Mint has used the distraction to slip out of the ring, and has grabbed the championship belt; he shouts a warning to his partner, and both Blade and the referee turn just as Mint tries to take out the ref in revenge for the missed count. Blade though tackles the ref to the ground and Mint misses; the referee is a little shaken but still conscious, and he waves his hands about angrily, signalling to the timekeeper for the bell to be rung.
Philip: Here is your winner, as a result of a disqualification…………Bladeshadow!
Mint has been caught red handed trying to cheat, and the fans cheer as the referee gives him a severe dressing down. The attempted attack on an official brings a stream of backup referees to the ring, who proceed to split V3 and Kane; Blade jumps out of the ring and goes to check on his partner as Kane stalks away to the locker rooms. Mint also leaves the ring; he taunts Blade as he goes back to the limo with the extra refs watching his every move. The referee thanks Blade for the save, and raises his arm to the applause of the fans; then Blade and V3 make their way backstage, their policy of watching each other’s back having been successful………….for the moment. Match 7: WCW Tag Team Title Match – Pain Inc vs Champions Latino and DJ Blaze (Post Match Events Credit: – Ridley / Rose / AK )
The atmosphere in the arena is tense as the ring is prepared for the final match of the evening. Philip steps into the ring, but before he can say a single word the lights are cut and the crowd’s reaction is immediate……
GONG………<br> GONG……..
The lights rise just a little, and two lines of torch – bearing druids come forth to line the entranceway; then, two figures appear side by side at the entrance and begin to slowly approach the ring.
Philip: This is the final match of the evening, and it is for the WCW Tag Team Championship! Introducing first, the challengers……..Ridley and The White Rose, known together as Pain Inc!
Ridley is in his full set of robes, and Rose has gained a long black cloak to complement her partner’s attire; they make a formidable sight as they climb up into the ring. Ridley raises his arms to bring the house lights back up, and he and Rose remove their extra stage wear as the druids file away backstage.
After a brief pause, Eddie G and Chyna’s theme blasts from the sound system, and the crowd remains on its feet as Latino and Blaze step forward into the glare of the arena lights.
Philip: And their opponents, the defending WCW Tag Team Champions………..Latino and DJ Blaze!
Latino and Blaze also come to the ring shoulder to shoulder; they acknowledge the crowd but always keep one eye on Ridley and Rose. Entering the ring, the champs come face to face with Pain Inc and the atmosphere is electric; neither side shows any sign of backing off and after a few moments the referee has to step in to split them. Ridley and Latino are both eager to start the match, and the ladies head back to the corners to let them get on with it; the noise volume rises to a peak as the referee waves his hand and the contest officially gets underway.
Bell Rings.
Latino doesn’t waste a second longer; he charges into Ridley before he has a chance to adopt a fighting stance and drives him back hard into a neutral corner before letting fly with a 10 – count punch. Ridley is only briefly unsettled by this, and he absorbs Latino’s blows before landing a massive one of his own that sends Latino flying backwards to land on his behind a few feet away. Ridley approaches, but Latino is quickly back up on his feet and the pair circle the ring, looking for an opening. Latino decides that speed is his best weapon, and he uses the elasticity of the ropes to build his velocity before running forward for a clothesline. As he approaches he sees that Ridley wants to counter for a spinebuster, so instead he changes tack and dives very low, attacking Ridley’s knees and pulling his feet out from under him so that he falls face first to the mat. Latino keeps hold of Ridley’s foot and stands up to apply an ankle lock, but after a few moments Latino realises that submission moves are useless against Ridley, who appears not to notice the effect of the hold at all and is actually drumming his fingers on the mat in a faintly bored manner.

Quickly Latino releases the hold and goes for a leg drop while Ridley is down, but Ridley now demonstrates his own speed, slipping aside so that Latino lands hard. Ridley moves in on Latino and delivers a swift snap suplex; this is just a delaying tactic to daze Latino long enough for Ridley to whip him to the ropes and hit his Tiltawhirl Backbreaker. Ridley makes a cover, but Latino is resilient and he kicks out before the 2 count. Ridley is not about to let Latino take a breather; he sweeps him up and lands a nasty – looking piledriver. The impact to the head has more of an effect, and Ridley gauges this using another pin; he gets a full 2 count for his efforts. In the corner, Rose is quietly loosening the turnbuckle covers, and she gives a hand signal to Ridley; Ridley smiles darkly and, holding Latino by his hair, runs forward and drives his forehead into the turnbuckle. Rose removes the pad at the last second, and the blow opens up a nasty gash on Latino’s head; the referee comes and looks at Rose suspiciously, but by the time he is close enough to see Rose has slipped the cover back into place.
Things are going smoothly for Pain Inc and Ridley tags to Rose so that she can have her part of the fun. In the opposite corner Blaze is looking more and more worried, but she is smart enough to know that distracting the referee to complain would only benefit the opposition. Instead she calls out encouragement to Latino; meanwhile Rose is making further use of the uncovered turnbuckle and rams Latino’s shoulder into it several times. Latino grits his teeth at the pain, but he works out what Ridley and Rose are up to; with a burst of energy he frees himself from Rose’s grip and then whips her into the corner before Ridley has a chance to put the cover back again. The pain to her back distracts Rose just a little so that Latino is able to hit a turnbuckle splash; as he does so he throws both arms forward to clap both Rose and Ridley around the head with considerable force. Latino pulls Rose back out of her corner and runs over to his own; Blaze restrains Rose while Latino climbs the turnbuckle and then he delivers a superb swinging DDT that shakes the ring on impact. Latino covers and gets 2 before Rose pushes him away; Blaze yells to him to switch and Latino finally gets some recovery time as Blaze literally leaps into the match, producing a phoenix splash (moonsault into 450 splash) that drives Rose back down into the canvas.
Blaze pins Rose, and gets a 2.5 count; having already wrestled hard against Tyd earlier, Rose does not have quite the same amount of energy to call upon as she normally would. Noting that Rose’s back is now a weak point, Blaze goes to work and collects her up for a normal backbreaker against her knee. Rose clutches at her back, and looks more than a little angry; as Blaze comes forward again she grasps her and hits a powerful dragon suplex. Rose pins, but Blaze pushes her arm up at 2. The women rise to their feet and lock up once more; Rose is the better technical wrestler and she applies a Full Nelson before converting this into a second suplex variant. With Blaze somewhat dizzy, Rose locks on her favoured Dragon Sleeper; Blaze struggles but Rose’s determination is awesome to behold. Latino calls out to Blaze as her eyes begin to close; Rose smiles at his distress and tightens the hold further. The referee holds up Blaze’s arm, once, twice……Rose’s eyes light up as she senses that victory is near, but the crowd are shouting for Blaze and there is a roar of excitement as on the 3rd try, Blaze’s arm stays upright for a second before she wrenches her arm free and elbows Rose in the face. Rose lets go and staggers back with her hand against her eye; Blaze backs up a few feet before running in and delivering the Last Dance (twist of fate) to Rose. Blaze hurries to cover, and gets a 2 count; thinking quickly she elbow drops to buy time and then climbs up at her own corner to launch her Gatecrasher (frog splash). It connects and the referee counts 1,2…….but just before 3 Rose sticks her arm up and Blaze audibly swears in frustration.
In his corner, Ridley’s expression is becoming increasingly dark; he is displeased with Rose and angrily orders her to step up her game. Rose sees his face and is spurred on; she counters a kick from Blaze and hits her “Mark of the Rose” (doublearm DDT). Rose pins, but Blaze knows she cannot afford to lose and she also breaks out just before 3. Rose moves to follow up, but Ridley smiles evily and beckons to her with a finger, indicating that he wants to tag. Rose grins back and drags Blaze back toward her corner before making the switch; alarm bells ring in Latino’s head and he shouts to Blaze to get away. Blaze rips herself free of Rose and runs, but Ridley is too quick and he catches her just before her hand touches Latino’s. Ridley leers at Latino menacingly as he steps back to the centre of the ring, and he holds Blaze in a chokehold around her neck; as he gloats though he does not keep his arm straight, and Blaze realises that the referee cannot see her fully from his position……..summoning all her strength, Blaze kicks Ridley as hard as she can in the family jewels. Ridley looks genuinely shocked by the force of the blow, and he lets Blaze go…………the crowd’s reaction is incredible as Blaze tags to Latino and he storms into the ring, determined to finish the match once and for all.
Latino is fired up; he shakes his shoulders as Ridley pulls himself together, and attacks with a string of powerful punches. Ridley fights back, now with real intent and at full power, and the crowd roars to spur both of them on. Latino whips Ridley to the ropes; Ridley grabs them and swiftly launches into a quebrada, but Latino dodges aside. As Ridley picks himself up Latino locks in for the first of his trademark 3 vertical suplexes; it hits and Latino twists over inot position for the second, Ridley resists with all his force and Latino has to fight to hit the second move; he is obviously becoming extremely tired and Ridley battles all the way to prevent the third suplex taking place. Somehow though Latino manages it; the crowd goes wild as Latino drags himself into the pin. Everybody counts – 1,2, - KICKOUT! The fans are stunned, and Latino and Blaze cannot believe it. Latino drags himself to his feet and climbs the turnbuckle for his frog splash……he leaps into the air, and cameras flash everywhere, but at the last second Ridley rolls aside. Latino impacts hard, and Ridley grins demonically as he picks up Latino. Everyone has been so focused on the main battle that no one has seen Rose quietly slip off of the turnbuckle and collect a steel chair……..with frightening power Ridley launches Latino with his Torpedoes away throw and he flies into the turnbuckle at Ridley’s corner. Immediately Ridley turns around, rushes over to Blaze and punches her off of the apron; the referee is angry and he remonstrates with Ridley. In doing so he plays right into Ridley and Rose’s hands, and as Latino pulls himself up at the corner Rose delivers a thunderous chairshot directly to his head. Everyone (except the referee) hears the sound and shudders; Latino is busted wide open and he is in cloud cuckoo land as he staggers back to the centre of the ring, bleeding heavily. Ridley has only to pick him up and deliver a fitting tombstone piledriver before the referee makes the 1-2-3 count, and Blaze’s world shatters as her career goes six feet under.
Philip: Here are your winners….and NEW WCW Tag Team Champions…….Pain Inc!

The crowd noise is thunderous as the bell rings; Ridley stands up slowly and then walks away from Latino, who is not really aware of his surroundings. The referee comes over and hands the belts to Pain Inc as Rose joins him in the ring; Blaze has dashed to Latino and is trying to help him to sit up. Ridley and Rose look at the belts in their hands, and then back to their opponents. They do not celebrate or react at all to the crowd, instead they carefully place the belts down next to one of the posts and then silently approach the defeated champions. Their dark shadows fall across the pair, and as they look downward Ridley and Rose’s expressions contort to reflect their evil intentions. Blaze does not turn around at first, but she lifts her eyes from Latino on the mat and stares straight ahead for a couple of seconds, before closing her eyes and taking a very deep breath. Then, slowly, she turns to look behind her….
With the speed of a striking cobra Ridley grabs Blaze by the neck and lifts her right off of her feet, this time holding her at arms length. Blaze struggles, but the match has sapped almost all her strength and Ridley seems to be re-energised by some malicious inner force. Latino is jerked back to consciousness by her cry, and immediately tries to get up; Rose though kicks him viciously in his already bloodied face before pushing him out of the ring. From the back, Druids 1 to 5 descend on the ring and collect Latino as he slumps on to the crash matting; 3 of them drag Latino back a few feet from the ring and restrain him so that he has no choice but to bear witness to the events unfolding within it. Behind them, RDK also makes an entrance and he stands next to the druids holding Latino. Ridley leers and tightens his grip on Blaze; she claws at his hand but lack of oxygen makes her movements increasingly weak. Latino fights to release himself from the druids, shouting obscenities at Ridley and Rose, but he cannot break free from their hold and Rose laughs in delight at his futile efforts. One of the 2 remaining druids climbs the steps to the ring, and from beneath his robes produces what looks to be a long coiled length of black rope, which he hands to Rose. Rose takes it and walks over to the side of the ring so that she is right in front of Latino.
Rose: Lord Ridley promised you a lesson in the glorious nature of suffering, and he would never make a promise that he does not mean to keep. We are going to give you a gift….the gift of exquisite pain, yet neither I nor my lord shall lay a finger on you……..
Rose smiles malevolently and uncoils the rope; the camera focuses more tightly and the crowd shrieks as the item is revealed to be not a rope at all, but an extremely long and vicious – looking bullwhip. Rose gives it a test, and the crack echoes around the arena; Latino’s eyes widen in horror as his mind comes to terms with what he is seeing and he writhes in the grip of the druid horde; his panic only increases as from the ceiling a large X – shaped wooden construction descends until it is hovering just inches above the ring. Ridley slams Blaze against the X, and the two spare druids force her wrists and ankles into metal restraints at each corner. With Blaze spreadeagled against the X, Ridley grins and steps away as Rose turns and takes aim……….
The camera dives away from the scene, but the sounds of the assault are all too vivid. The audience’s faces are a picture of shock and many people turn away, some covering their ears as well; but try as they might they cannot drown the hideous snap of the whip or Blaze’s screams of agony at each strike. The camera switches back to show Latino; at every blow he recoils as if taking the hit himself, and tears of rage stream down his cheeks, washing away some of the congealed blood. Latino strains every muscle to try and escape and for a second it looks as if he will succeed, but RDK assists the druids and the four of them are just too strong for Latino to overcome.
As Rose has her fun Ridley slips out of the ring; he approaches the druids and gazes down intently at Latino. In a soft yet serious voice he addresses him……….
Ridley: I want you to remember this moment, Latino. I want it to burn its way into your soul, to emblazon itself forever on your subconscious, (here his voice starts to crescendo) to wake you up screaming in the middle of the night, drenched in sweat, because the knowledge is forever eating at you....that you, the grand hero, the saviour of all the innocents in the WCW, couldn't do a d*mn thing to save the person you cared about the most.
The violence is only brought to a halt by the sound of cruel laughter from directly behind Latino’s position; Chairman WCW98 steps out into the spotlight and walks down the ramp, accompanied by a maelstrom of anger from the fans. WCW stands directly between Latino and the ring, and the camera reveals the results of the attack; Blaze’s clothes have been ripped all over by the lashes, and blood streams down from the ugly welts that cover her body from head to toe. WCW has a document in one hand and a microphone in the other, and his face is a vision of evil pleasure as he speaks.
WCW: I don’t need to say much………..I think the scene here speaks for itself. This is what happens when someone tries to screw with me, so all the rest of you insolent dirtbags in the locker room, take note!
Right on cue, Commissioner Ginger, Bladeshadow, V3 and Double – Oh Four dash out on to the entrance ramp, having been alerted to the goings on; they try to approach the ring but from the crowd a number of burly security guards appear, and they block their route so that they are forced to watch from the top of the entrance way.
WCW looks at Ridley, who is back in the ring, and nods; Ridley walks over to Blaze and releases her from the restraints, and she collapses on to the mat. WCW climbs into the ring and approaches; his expression is one of utter contempt as he stands over her.
