Match 6: Hunter vs. Angelus Kincaid – No Disqualifications Match – ACW World Title (Credit: Hunter)
The lights dim as the fans realize that we have reached the main event for this evening. Philip walks into the ring and takes his announcing duties like a true professional.
Philip: Ladies and gentlemen, this next match is scheduled for one fall and it is a no disqualifications match for the ACW World Heavyweight Championship! Introducing first, from Rochester, New York, he is the current reigning ACW World Champion, Andrew Hunter!
”Ex Nihilo” hits the speakers as per usual as the World Champion himself makes his way to out to the ring. His reaction is not what one would call pleased, and he has nothing to be pleased about in general. He taps the precious title around his waist and proceeds to slide into the ring. He poses on one of the turnbuckles as the fans boo, and then gives the title to the referee.
Philip: And his opponent…Angelus Kincaid!
Philip himself isn’t very excited about the prospect of having to witness the monster in his truest form…and so his reaction is one of disgust as “Progenies of the Great Apocalypse” hits the speakers, allowing Angelus the opportunity to make his way out to the ring. He has only one thing on his mind, and for whatever reasons it is not the World Title. His reasons are much more sadistic, as he intends on simply destroying Hunter. He slides into the ring and stares at Hunter inhumanely, sending chills down Hunter’s spine. The referee raises the title high and Hunter looks up at it, whereas Angelus’ eyes never leave Hunter.
Bell Rings.
Angelus charges Hunter completely intent on ripping him apart. He grabs Hunter and begins to choke him, lifting him up into the air with both hands and not allowing Hunter to find anyway to prevent his complete oblivion. As the air escapes him, Hunter finally comes up with the perfect way to save himself. He lifts his foot back and brings it crashing back into the nether-regions of Angelus. As much of a monster as he is, Angelus cannot help but drop Hunter from the force of the kick. Hunter tries to follow this up with another kick, but Angelus grabs his leg and trips him. He brings him down to the mat and rolls onto him, grabs him, and lifts him back up into a slightly modified bear hug. Hunter cannot understand Angelus’ strategy whatsoever, but he still takes the classic way out and slams his fists into the side of Angelus’ head, forcing him to drop Hunter once more. Hunter fearfully looks into the eyes of the giant before him…and he can’t help but attempt to figure out what he’s gotten himself into. He tries to run, but Angelus grabs him from behind and lifts Hunter into a pump handle slam. At this point, Angelus could easily cover, but he chooses not to. And at this point, Angelus could lift up the defenseless Hunter and proceed to hurt him in any other way he so wishes. But Angelus only likes it when they squirm.
Hunter gets up and Angelus instantly takes his opportunity and strikes, wrapping his arm under Hunter’s arms and lifting him up into the air. The ever-persistent master of the counter proceeds to bounce off the ropes midair and flip all the way over and land on his feet. He brings himself down into a sitting position and jams Angelus’ arm onto his shoulder, causing what Hunter hopes is pain. But Angelus simply smiles (or whatever you can call that devious grin) and turns to Hunter. He likes it when they squirm, but he likes it when they challenge him more. Hunter charges up and elbows Angelus in the side of the head, but the monster just takes this pain with great pleasure. Hunter looks at him in a mortified manner and attempts to think what could possibly take down the beast. He then remembers the no disqualifications stipulation…unfortunately for him, so does Angelus. Hunter’s opponent gets some vengeance on Hunter and proceeds to deliver a swift kick to Hunter’s men of steel, then grabs Hunter and hits him with an implant spinout DDT. Angelus slides out of the ring and starts looking under the ring, hoping to find some sort of weapon to torture Hunter with. Hunter has gotten up after the impact by now and decides to take a risk by launching himself through the top two ropes and knocking out Angelus with a suicide dive that ends up flinging him into the Spanish announcer’s table.
