As much as I would like to believe that I could have miraculously helped extend life into this place by winning the title, I think what was happening out of character took a bigger toll than I did. I think we could have squeezed one year out if there was not daily OOC fights, many of which got too personal. Those things caused those barely hanging on, like AK, to leave. No doubt in my mind. I can say that the first main event out of the gates (Senator Vs. Freeman) was not the right direction for morale as I had even the loyalist ACW people messaging me with their frustrations about it. What I would love to know is how things would have gone if I didn't get frustrated with SLA, turned it into a traditional promo fed and competed heavily with ACW. I think this would have actually helped ACW by creating a real life WCW vS WWF scenario that would have given people the motivation to pick a side and write. Alas thought, it never happened as I was already tired of sinking a ton of time into it and not seeing my roster expand because new people did not like the ACW system. Why were people complaining about me having a title shot? I don't really think that's fair. On the road to OE5 I was writing some really awesome stuff with AK. The highlight being the contract segment we wrote which a couple people, Dan, Senator, CP, said was the best thing I'd ever written. The truth was while consistency was always my biggest problem, I had been constantly improving and especially since rebooting my character in late 2008. I do think the best of the stuff I did with AK was main event quality, and while I was not always at that level I was getting there. I don't think everybody was paying attention to what I was doing at the time, but those who were all were giving me praise. After OE5 I had a lot of momentum, and the history was there with me and Senator to make for an interesting feud. Yes, I was friends with Senator, but he would not have given me the match if I didn't deserve it. He gave it to me because he saw I was writing the best stuff I ever had, and he thought I deserved a shot. Was I ready for the ACW title? Probably not, but I don't see a problem with me getting a title match. I had like what...two ACW title matches ever? The second one being when I won it from Mainer when I was pretty much the only one left lol. Why ACW loyalists would complain about it I don't know. I do think I deserved the shot, even if I wasn't going to win, just to get a chance to mix it up in the main event scene. It's interesting and maybe we disagree in principle. I was reading some old posts and saw you complaining about BK London feuding with Scott Andrews and Kudo Yasuda in his last championship run, when I absolutely loved those feuds, because it gave Scott and Kudo a chance to mix it up and made them look great. And then eventually Jay Zero. I don't see a problem with giving some ACW title shots to people that are on the boundary of main event and giving them a chance. And as I said I think I was writing impressive things at that time, and that it isn't really fair to say that that was wrong to give me a shot or would frustrate people. Its a shame, I continued to improve after that as well. The stuff I wrote in ACW's final year was by far my best stuff ever but there was nobody around to see it. The run up to my ACW title win in July from Fallen Heroes of that year was a great angle in my opinion, which led naturally to the title match and which Im really proud of. I think there was tons of potential for interesting stories with my character at the time. Would I have been able to hang in the main event? I don't know and never will, I just know I was re-reading some of it last week and I think a lot of that stuff was really great. Before you look at the reasons people questioned your contendership, remember that most of us didn't like you at the time. When you take a guy with a growing lobby of critics who becomes a star overnight; somebody is going to get wound up. Now, I'll give you credit. You did improve dramatically when working with AK but that really doesn't mean anything. AK could've carried Franchi$e to Feud of the Year and given that the bulk of your improvement occurred during that feud, there were questions of whether you'd actually improved or whether you'd slip streamed AK's brilliance to shoot out ahead. You could've done with a little more time to prove yourself. There were also others who were well overdue championship matches. You'd spent the best part of a year addicted to Guitar Hero while people worked their balls off and had nothing to show for it. You came back, had one stand-out program and were pushed to the main event. Finally, despite your improvements you still weren't at the quality of your contemporaries. Your segments were better constructed and you were closer to good writing but the main criticism doggging all your work was your lack of any flair at all. I know the debate still rages over the TK/BK Styles of Believability but with the benefit of experience, I can tell you there are ways to inject color into the mediocre and techniques to pare back the absurd to give it value. In our amateur state, most of us were hitting sharp notes or flat notes and yours were particularly flat.

I wrote most of the match. And otherwise we all wrote our own segments and both contributed to the story. She obviously was a great writer but I pulled my weight as well. Its not like I let her do everything and coasted. I wouldn't say she carried me. I had one title shot, it's not like I blocked people out of the title scene for months. Looking at the roster almost everybody who was deserving at the time got a title shot in the very near future or had had many before. I don't think it was out of the question to be given a chance.

You just should have become Jason the Giant. That was gold.
Or given yourself a gimmick of being late all the time. To matches, to the ring, etc.
Something, anything.

Towards the end I did my Trace Birmingham segments which were ridiculous that I thought were hilarious but everybody else thought were dumb lol

I'm not gonna' go back and trace a family tree of ACW circa your title reign because who gives a fuck but I will say this; this post reminds me why I thought you were on the autistic spectrum. Whenever we've tried to real talk and I might be guilty of this myself which is why we clashed so much; you've always had difficulty looking at things through other people's perspectives. In my explanation of people's problems with you as a contender, I'm trying to put the forward a potential perspective of someone who didn't like you disliking you being contender. You're seeing it from the perspective of you and everything you know, assuming everyone else knows all this or at least believes you. Do you understand what I'm saying? Let me give an example; Jason Freeman drapes the ACW World Heavyweight Championship belt across the back of the spinny chair in his office. He then leaves for the bathroom, grabs a hair brush and sings 'It's Gonna' Be Me' by N Sync in the mirror. While he's stripping away the haggard remains of his masculinity, his wife Beth takes the title and puts it on the display cabinet where it belongs. When Jason comes back with even less self respect than ever thought possible, where will he look for his championship belt? If you're Autistic and fail to distinguish perspectives, you collect everything from the scenario and think Jason Freeman will look in the display cabinet because that's where it is and you know that. When you comprehend perspective, you think Jason will look for it on the spinny chair because that's where he last remembers it being. Not everyone's information bases are the same and I think you forget that. So while you can say you wrote most of the match and contributed (x) to segments, your points don't mean anything because we're talking about the perspective of people who don't know the same things you do about your output in the feud.

You do have a point that people wouldn't have known that at the time. Though there were a lot of people who did, since I was proud of my work then. Regardless, I get the feeling from your post that you were one of those people who disliked it and from the tone you still do, so it's not completely pointless to bring it up. But on the other hand it doesn't matter anymore. So trying to change anybody's mind anymore is stupid, it's true. I guess it just aggravates me because while I know I was never as good as a lot of other people, I think I was judged pretty harshly in general throughout my time in ACW. Sometimes deserved admittedly, but other times not. So in a way I have a bit of a chip on my shoulder still I guess.
