Been gripped by a wave of nostalgia lately and I logged back in here. Next thing I know, I've read every show during my active months (About 1 year in total). Real good times with some talented writers and great community.
It also left me with regret that I couldn't fulfill my final storyline. Damn full time job and real life! lol
Anyway, I see very few still lurk here now so I know a reboot isn't on the cards.
For those who do pop in now and again...what you up to now? Still fedding?

Torak's time was just right before mine, but I always did want to fight that big ol' SOB. Weren't you and Rattlesnake friends? Rattlesnake, now that poor guy got screwed. That whole situation with Wyvern ranks up there, if not the highest, of complete BS situations I encountered when I played this game. Guy was completely talented, but got shafted for a no-show and then used as a point grab for Flower Power.

Rattlesnake was indeed unreal. I wrote his championship match with Wyvern and when I heard the result, I was a bit gutted that I had to write it. Not sure but I think I wrote the finish as a rollup to make Snake not look so weak.
Also nice to see you're still about, Torak! Don't see you too much on the footy board nowadays either. Must be pleased with Swansea the last couple of years!

TOOOOOOOOOOORAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAK! Good to hear from you, sir!
I still read old results and promos from time to time. I'm thankful for my time in fedding, but I haven't done it in three years and I'd like to keep it that way.

Can somebody explain what happened to Rattlesnake? I wasn't around at the time and hadn't noticed anything amiss on my usual frequent visits. Me and Rattlesnake went way back when I first started fedding. He was a championship contender in my own e-fed plus he won an inter-fed tournament I ran (I believe AK was in the final as well) so I was always a big fan of his. I even gave him the "keys" to Torak after I left, even though I retconned it all when I returned as Cordelia and killed off Torak.
I also would have liked to have worked with you TK. When I was around as Torak there weren't that many big guys around for Torak to have a decent feud with. Amo made one appearance and Hitman kept retiring and un-retiring.
Dan, I still lurk on the football board but rarely post because that, like many forums on the internet, is populated by over-opinionated douche monkeys that just want to start an argument over every subject. I can't be arsed with it at all. I did see your post on 313 (I think) about how you've been watching some old PPVs. I've been doing the same. I've been extremely nostalgic lately and picking up a lot of activities and hobbies that I loved years ago. Mid-life crisis maybe? lol
And of course, I'm delighted with how the Swans have been doing for the last 10 years. In the top flight, been in Europe and even released a movie recently. Great times to be a Jack. What are you doing with yourself lately?

Yeah what happened with Snake? I don't remember either. The biggest issue I remember with ACW was the FSX/Sarin thing at whatever Omega Effect that was

I've got Snake on Facebook. He doesn't post much anymore but seems to be going through life as contently as you can tell from Facebook.
Yeah I'm doing okay. After ACW folded I went through the most wild part of my life, settled down, then that went tits up so went more wild than I ever went and ended up doing a full circle. It's good though, life is pretty sweet. Starting Primary School teacher training in September which will be fantastic. Supporting Newcastle is never boring even if it is mostly crap and the national team are doing well both in the footy and turning a corner in the rugby, so sportswise I couldn't be much happier! As for watching old PPVs, well I want to get the network first (or find an amazing torrent) but I'm into it. At the moment one of my side projects is archiving. I did some archiving for a local cricket team recently that went really well and as a hobby/project/something to stick in my portfolio I'm actually properly archiving ACW's history, which is something I always wanted to do. It's a maaaaaaaassive task but I've broken some ground. Call me sad, but I like doing that sort of stuff.
What Sarin/FSX thing, Freeman?

Yeah what happened with Snake? I don't remember either. The biggest issue I remember with ACW was the FSX/Sarin thing at whatever Omega Effect that was Snake never had an issue. The guy is way too nice to voice a concern. It is important to put that out there. He never badmouthed ACW, at all. Since I always did have a voice and was never afraid to call out BS, I say to this very day he had the WORST ACW moment that I have ever witnessed during my tenure here. The deal was Wyvern (Champion) Vs. Snake at Seven Deadly Sins (07). Wyvern basically no-shows all month or posts a bunch of small, short point grab promos the show before - beating Rattlesnake. The for the next two months as champion Wyvern does not promo. Sometimes I am overly critical, but really, it is almost funny that ONLY ACW could have a world champion who does not roleplay. That stuff simply does not go down in other federations, and if it does, the champion has the common courtesy to be honest about their situation and do the right thing and forfeit their title. ACW could have had a young, fresh champion who wanted to roleplay but instead ended up with an absentee champion for three months. The next month at Emperor of the Ring, I found out many years later from Senator that actually I (in my 5-6th) month COULD have beaten Wyvern for the world title. His calcs were that low at the time. The only thing in my way was the number one contenders match with BK, which he defeated little ol' midcard me. He then went on and let the absentee champion beat him because, again as I was told, he didn't want the title. So again, brilliant move. We have guys who don't even want the belt in the main event dictating the flow of things. The absentee champion now goes to month three. You have two hungry guys who would have done something come away with bad tastes in their mouths. Trust me, we noticed. Plus there was the calc situation as well, where the calcs were not updated for months during Wyvern's absence leading to matches being judged by old calcs. That cost Ben when he fought Freeman leading to another person having a bad taste in their mouth. I honestly do not know whom with any power was thinking at the time, but good God, how this was all allowed to go down is unbelievable.

Can you elaborate? I have ideas about what happened but I don't want to stir the pot. Not that it matters now, 6.5 years on and all that.
Anyway the whole Wyvern thing was weird to me. I was inactive (apart from my "onscreen" Commissioner role) and I didn't really pay too much attention to the politics or anything. But I do remember that he did not deserve to retain against Snake at all. I don't think it was any mod conspiracy though. Just Wyvern knowing how to play the flawed game that the calcs had become and exploiting it to suit his needs. Don't even know if he dropped the belt to Stark or whether he just didn't turn up, but I didn't find it a surprise, to be fair.
Hunter at Winter Discontent 2007, now that was a conspiracy of sorts. Zero completely deserved to have the title then.

Zero completely deserved to have the title then. Well, looking back at it, I really should have retained and kept the belt going into OE to have a much better main event. The FSX Vs. TK match would have been memorable and we had worked well together of course. I did say that champions should only keep for three months and I did and I defend that Sarin was a very good writer. Truth be told FSX did work for it more but I knew he was going to get it anyway. Plus I did want to work with Yoko at OE. Still, considering how Sarin did not work well with FSX and how I would have, the main event was soured to a degree. Oh, and Dan, a mod playing the flawed calc game because they knew how it worked IS a conspiracy.

tbh the whole Senator winning at FH thing had completely soured that as well. I always had the most respect for him, but seeing as our feud was already watertight months before even FH, he really didn't need that on his track record. He should have relinquished that win. But yeah, I have absolutely no problem with you dropping the belt in order to fight Yoko, particularly at OE, but you vs. FSX would have been more enjoyable for me.
I liked the match I wrote between FSX and Sarin, mind. As you said, they just weren't compatible.

I remember the "fan" made Omega Effect Five card we all did and our show was so much better than the real deal. Obviously you know my feelings, I sure would have loved to have Thunderkiss Vs. Jack Steele one-on-one because that was built for almost an entire year.
