The rumor mills are saying Autumn, or "Fall" as you guys call it. I personally am hoping for another April release as that's close enough to my birthday but this is unlikely as Max Payne III is coming out in March 2012. So your guess is as good as mine really. I wouldn't mind it going back to the old October dates as I'll hopefully be in University by then.
GTA SERIES RELEASE DATES GTA 1: 22nd March, 1995 GTA London 1: 29th April, 1999 GTA London 2: 1st June, 1999 GTA 2: September 30th, 1999 GTA 3: October 22nd, 2001 GTA Vice City: October 27th, 2002 GTA San Andreas: October 26th, 2004 GTA IV: 29th April, 2008

I swear the voice in the trailer was ray liotta
anyways if it's one city with a lot of rural area I won't mind, so long as there are plenty of small towns in the countryside and there's a lot to do. obviously San Andreas took the last gen to the absolute max, cos there's a lot of stuff that's there which is nice to look at (like the Big Ear, the oil refinery, hell even Mount Chilliad) but were all either purely there for show or had very little to do on.
basically I like my games to have so much to do that you'll never be bored thinking what to do, and even SA suffered with that at times. I've heard rumours that buying property will be back from VC, along with modifying cars (I think I read the same list as Mainer, so take it as you will) .
Either way, I'm massively excited for it. I've been going through an SA playthrough since August and I'm tempted to bring up GTA4 again. I never finished it, and I never played the episode packs so I might as well conquer them.

There are lots on the Tommy Verceti bandwagon but I doubt it is him. Rockstar has gone on record to say that they rebooted the series' continuity when they came out with the first of this current gen, GTA:IV. Which makes sense, considering the Liberty City in 3 is much, much different than the one in IV. Besides a few tributes to the past games like Lazlow, the current gen GTA's are in their own universe.

the rumour page I saw simply said "the truth is dead" for one of the rumours. dunno what it means, but I'd rather the train of thought you have, that its a new gen, ignore the last gen. but if that was the case, surely this would be GTA: LS as opposed to GTA 5? I mean, Vice City could very easily have been GTA 4.

The rumor page I saw was different to yours Dan, it had nothing like that on it. As for "The Truth is Dead", my only possible connection with GTA on that front is this guy. The Truth, a nutcase hippy who made you burn down a marijuana field in San Andreas and kill a bunch of cops. Fun times. EDIT: Also lol Dan remember in Chat when you told us you crashed the Boeing into the tallest tower in the game to recreate 911 and I went on a moralistic shitfit atop a magnificent stallion of a high horse? I'm a reformed character. I've done that now. It was awesome.

For some reason I can never get into GTA games...I bought GTA3, San Andreas, and the other PS2 one for cheap, but only ever even opened GTA3 and barely played it.
I also barely played 4. I usually enjoy it while i DO play it though

Hey man, my memory's kind of foggy but I believe I was one of the people who actually came up with the Awesome Cowboys of Wrestling name.

As long as there is some sort of playground glitch, I'm excited.

Snake is in the cowboys. He just didn't play GTA. True dat. I was playing CoD with you guys and a bit of Left 4 Dead 2. I did have GTA IV, I just never played it with you guys. But with GTA V around the corner, someone has to say this. Cowboys...let's saddle up!
