This morning it was announced by Samuel Hawthorne, former chairmain of ACW Entertainment Inc., that the company has been sold to an undisclosed party. Alpha Championship Wrestling, which had been a mainstay in the sports entertainment business since 2004, had just recently promoted its final show after back-to-back lack-luster years. The company had once been an giant in the industry but had not reported a solid profit since their hallmark show, Omega Effect Five. Industry insiders point toward a series of bad business decisions that followed for the eventual demise of ACW much to the chagrin of a hardcore fanbase. This morning that small but loyal fanbase is left wondering what will happen to the organization, which still has much to offer in terms of merchandising and media. Speculation has been running rampant that the original owner of company, Johnathan Gingerdude, has once again claimed ownership of ACW but this afternoon he laid those rumors to rest with a adamant "no."

The 6 people that still come here are stunned silent! Meanwhile, Freeman is somewhere squealing. Like a girl. A very squeal-y girl.

According to several witnesses, a fleet of moving fans swarmed the ACW Arena and complex late this evening. For the next few hours a horde of workers, estimated around 100 in number, ascended into the premises like worker ants and removed virtually anything not nailed down. Among the items included the company's entire video library and Hall of Fame artifacts. Word of mouth quickly spread across the island and several hundred fans lined up to protest these quick and unpopular developments. It is no secret that the economy of "ACW Isle" has been devastated by the closing of the company, and as every box was put into a moving truck the hope that resides in each and every one of these people diminished itself further. Speculation on who these items and building now belong to continues to run rampant though one thing is for sure, and that is for the moment, nothing is sure. More breaking developments as they happen.

ACW fans, before you read any further you best sit down. This morning paid cable giant Showtime added the following program to their lineup that will debut late March, early April of this year - "ACW Overtime." The description reads as follows:
There is a pulse! The heart of the wrestling world beats again! Alpha Championship Wrestling returns in grand fashion proving you just cannot keep a good thing down. However, make no mistake, this is not your father's ACW! No longer are the survivors "lost" on the island, they have been found and rolling high at the FUN HOUSE in none other than "sin city" itself, Las Vegas, Nevada. Make sure not to miss this special passing of the torch debut episode that will ignite discussion for years to come, which will most certainly include the unveiling of the company's new owner!

I think we'll just go alone with Ken's trolling storyline instead. Especially since there's only Freeman left to join another fed. >.>
