What do you mean they didnt have development? When I think digimon I mostly think season 1, but you could talk about season 2 and season 3 as well, but almost every single character developed in some way! Pokemon has had the same characters doing the same tihng for years, but digimon had at least some character development. It wasnt like OMG THE MOST SOPHISTICATED INTRICATE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT IN THE HISTORY OF TV, but this isnt LOST, this is digimon <_<
I dont know what you really wanted but I feel like mostly every character across each digimon season developed in some way. it wasnt really the kind of show to warrant serious character development on a grand scale but each character still developed over the course of the season.

Bitch, please. The writing was lame, the humor was painful, and the characters were uninteresting. I know that it's a kid's show, but sheeit, you're acting like it's a genuinely good one. Then again, my favorite TV show is Greatest American Hero, which had excellent writing.

I'm with Freeman on this one. Hell the entire first 18 episodes the digidestined had to get over their egos for the best of a world they didn't even know about. Then you had them split up and find their Crest of _______ they had to grow up.
In pokemon, the only time Ash grew up was in the movies.

And those movies were the best thing out at that time... so emotional... so heartwarming... i'm shedding a tear just thinking about it.

I'm going to really push the boat out here and say that YuGiOh shits on both of them. The card game was much much better, the cards themselves were fucking pimp daddy, the storylines were a damn sight darker and unlike in Pokemon and Digimon where you knew the good guys were almost always going to win YuGiOh had a rather unsettling way of keeping it completely unpredictable at all times to really keep you on the edge of your seat. Also there's the way they pushed the concept of Destiny VS Free Will onto viewers. That was awesome.
Plus, YuGiOh Abridged is the stuff of legend.

Hehe, and worse, he forget everything at the end of the first film so you can't even count that.... Also, Dragonball Z Abriged >>> YuGiOh Abridged, even if both are awesome <_<

I will agree that Yu-gi-Oh Abridged > DBZ Abridged, sorry Dave I lke the DBZ one actually, though the yu-gi-oh one is pretty much funnier and I feel like its more well done.
