Main Event:[/u] Six Man Tag: Ascendancy (Jason Freeman/Steve Phillips/Ryan Cole) vs. Dan White, Theodore Wellington, and Ivan Boreanaz (Credit: Senator)
Maxwell McNally: This main event tonight is going to be a larger deal than usual, as we see three out of the four members of Ascendancy taking on three of ACW's most formidable opponents. Dan White, Theodore Wellington, and Ivan Boreanaz, as seen in the ring, are not pushovers. Mr. White is a former ACW Heavyweight Champion, Wellington is always in the mix for a title hunt, and Boreanaz is a physical specimen, and capable of inflicting a tremendous amount of pain.
"Fast" Eddie Edison: The Belgrade Bruiser is a nasty, nasty man, and his boss, Wellington, might be even nastier! And then Dan White, he practically lives, breathes, and drinks nasty! These are three nasty people!
McNally: That was an, ahem, rather literate and varied analysis, Eddie.
Edison: I aim to please!
McNally: Anyway, there's no love lost between these teams, Cole is targeted by Wellington and Boreanaz, Phillips and White have unfinished business, and you can bet that Jason Freeman, our champion, is a target of all his opponents here, in his first match after winning the title. The belt might be a point of pride, and some might add obsession for Jason Freeman, but it's also a target for anyone with proper ambitions.
Edison: Dan White certainly wants to prove that he could have won at Seven Deadly Sins, and with RAF as our referee here, he'll not have to worry about not having his escapes count!
The two teams are, as already hinted at, already in the ring, there's no time to waste on televising the massive group entrances. Fleming stands in the middle of the ring, and without any more setup, calls for the bell.
***Bell Rings***
Cole starts out the match for Ascendancy while White begins for his own team. Dan immediately bullies his opponent into the ropes, shoving a forearm across the throat. Fleming separates the two, which has the side effect of clearing enough space for White to connect with a vicious kick to the ribs, sending Ryan Cole to a knee. The Welsh Dragon rushes in, but Cole is able to pop up, back body dropping his foe over the top rope. Dan lands onto the apron with a hard thump, nearly losing his balance. This only gives Cole time enough to catch his arm, hooking it over a shoulder, and executing a vertical suplex back into the ring, floating over upon impact...

...
...Dan kicks out right before the two count!
Edison: A bit of a slow count, might you say, Maxie?
McNally: Only if I were paranoid, or trying to stir the pot.
Standing up, the Welsh Dragon walks over, tagging in Boreanaz. Cole strikes a fighting stance, but instead walks over, tagging Steve Phillips into the match.
Edison: Some would call that cowardly, but they don't understand the masterful strategy that goes into fighting these big tag matches!
The Senator wastes no time in meeting his opponent in the middle of the ring. Boreanaz looks down at Phillips, before attempting to decapitate him with a big boot. Phillips catches the strike with a raised "X" block, catching the boot and spinning his opponent around...only for Boreanaz to follow through and connect with a vicious lariat on the Senator!
McNally: Nice counter, but it backfired, big time.
The Belgrade Bruiser raises his arms, yelling to the crowd, before running off the ropes, and dropping a big knee on the Senator's head, rolling him over, and landing a few stomps for good measure, before Ryan Cole jumps the ropes, causing Wellington to do the same on the other side of the ring. RAF, being the seasoned referee that he is, warns Cole, stepping back to prevent either him or Wellington to attack without warning.
However, that is exactly what Ryan Cole does anyway, in clear sight of the referee, lighting into Boreanaz with a jumping elbow. Wellington tries to jump into the action, too, but RAF puts a stop to the shenanigans, stepping in and ordering the two illegal competitors to their respective corners. Remarkably, Cole and Wellington obey, albeit not without a few harsh words for each other and the referee.
Edison: That's what I call laying down the law, and that's why he's the best ref in the business!
As Boreanaz recovers, he shakes off the effects of the blindside attack, hoisting the Senator up into a big headbutt, which Phillips answers almost instantly with a knife-edge chop. Amazed at the lack of response to the headbutt, Boreanaz shoots in, bullrushing the Senator into the Belgrade Bruiser's own corner, where Wellington sees fit to tag himself in. Ordering Boreanaz to hold Phillips into the corner, Wellington bounces off the ropes, taking a bit of an awkward trajectory to leap over his hired gun, landing a high cross body on Phillips. Wellington lands on the apron after connecting, stepping onto the top turnbuckle, and drilling his opponent face first into the mat with a calf branding facebuster! TW naturally rolls the Senator over for the pin after his devastating move...

...
...The Senator kicks out!
McNally: Something new out of Wellington, and I do have to applaud him and Boreanaz for their naturally flowing teamwork, these two obviously have spent some time in the gym honing their tactics.
Seeing that the Senator is still incapacitated, Wellington again takes to the top turnbuckle, reaching his footing with a single leap, and then jumps off with a huge moonsault, landing with a big impact right into the pin...

...Phillips again escapes the loss!
Edison: How can you not be impressed with Theodore Wellington? The man has athletic ability to spare, instincts of a champion, and more money than the whole third world put together! That said, yeah, he's a big league jerk, and hires people to do his dirty work, and probably cares more about money than he does anything else, but hey, he's the man anyway!
Wellington, feeding off the general boos of the audience(save those wearing the newest "Wellington = $" shirt, available on ACWstore.com, of course), pulls Phillips up by his scalp, toying with the former champ, connecting with a few punches to the face, throwing him in the corner, and hitting a knife-edge chop of his own. Dusting his hands, TW reaches out to tag an eager Dan White back into the match, but instead brushes his hand through his hair, and hits another chop on the Senator.
Unfortunately for ACW's Fortunate Son, Phillips calls upon his remarkable stubborn qualities yet again, and answers with a resoundingly harder chop. Wellington stumbles back towards his corner, tagging Boreanaz back in. Just as he does so, Steve Phillips completes his own journey towards his own corner, and...
McNally: The ACW World Heavyweight Champion enters the ring for the first time since winning his belt!
Jason Freeman enters the ring, not like the proverbial(and clichéd) house on fire, but more like his usual methodical self, letting Boreanaz cover the distance towards the Ascendancy corner before catching him with a snapmare into a rear chinlock. Freeman milks the chinlock for all it's worth, wrenching back on his opponent's jaw, and just as Boreanaz uses his superior strength to break it, the champ stands up, hitting a dropkick to the back.
Edison: Freeman is his own man, and he's showing us here just how far ahead he is on all his opponents! He plays human chess out there, while everyone else is stuck on checkers!
The Long Island native lets Boreanaz stand up to his feet, before blasting him in the face with a slap, and tagging Cole back into the match.
McNally: A bit short, but as you said, he sure loves playing games...
Ryan Cole pulls Boreanaz out of the corner, hitting a massive gutwrench suplex, using his side positioning on the landing to smoothly transition into a crossface chickenwing hold. That said, Boreanaz has little more trouble breaking out of another submission, rolling to the side, and throwing Cole off. The Belgrade Bruiser runs off the ropes, dashing his British opponent to the mat with a big shoulder charge, before walking over and tagging in a fresh, revitalized Dan White. The Welsh Dragon leaps over the top rope, more than eager to get back into the fray, and runs in, connecting with a swinging neckbreaker on Cole, keeping hold upon the neck, he hits a second one, but the third one is blocked, with Cole then hitting a swinging neckbreaker of his own, giving him the opening to go back to the corner to tag the Senator back in.
McNally: Things are going to heat up now...
Edison: No love lost here! Unless you're talking about the love of kicking someone's head in, since these two sure love stomping each other into the ground!
Dan stands up, squinting his eyes and rubbing the back of his head, surprised by the power of Cole's neckbreaker, but the pain goes away in the fraction of a moment, replaced by pure competitive rage as he notices the tag being made. Without giving Phillips the privilege of re-entering the ring with impunity, the Welsh Dragon blitzes him, landing a running boot to the face, pulling his foe into the ring, only to land back outside with a cactusline lariat! Neither man seems much affected by the landing, and elbow smashes are traded back and forth repeatedly from the neutral head clinch until Phillips ends up rolling head over heels over the steel steps. Dan White doesn't lose a step as he leaps up onto the steps, flying off with a calf kick, using the momentum of the impact to swing around his opponent, hitting a bizarre Millionaire's Waltz scissored takedown from the steps.
Edison: Ok, I give him full credit, that was pretty cool, yeah, that was pretty nuts for anyone, let alone a guy with as many years in ACW as Dan White!
Dan lands a few mounted punches from his landing, only for Phillips to shove him off, standing up, and rolling back into the ring, where Dan quickly follows. Again, the two enter brawling mode, a punch knocking Phillips back into the Ascendancy corner, where Freeman makes a blind tag. The Senator, with his forehead trickling blood from the punch, literally sees blood, and massacres Dan White with chops, kicks, elbows, uppercuts, anything that knocks him back, right into his own corner, where Wellington makes a similar blind tag to Freeman's move. RAF attempts to break up the vicious melee between White and Phillips, but finds his efforts futile when a staggered White grabs his belt and chucks him out of the way, only to eat a retaliating cactusline clothesline to the outside.
McNally: My goodness, do these two even realize they're in a sanctioned bout? Or that they have two other tag members each? It's obvious that the Senatorial Stipulations match at Seven Deadly Sins did not clear up any issues...
Back in the ring, Freeman and Wellington square off, with the champion ending up in a wristlock, only to roll forward, and kip up out of the basic hold, landing into a side headlock. Wellington cannot hold on for long, as Freeman backs into the ropes, shoving his opponent off. The champ runs forward, catching TW more than halfway across the ring, sending him flying back with a dropkick to the chest. Freeman rolls back to his feet, running forward, and catching Wellington with a knee facebuster, and then a side headlock, using the basic hold to drag him into the corner and tag Cole in.
Edison: Teamwork, it wins matches, and Ascendancy is showing plenty of that, even sans Senator!
Ryan Cole enters with a quick kick to the ribs, before stepping back and knocking Wellington down with a spinning heel kick. Cole covers for the pin...

...Freeman grabs his teammate's ankles through the ropes, adding leverage.

...RAF kicks Freeman's hands off, and negates the pinfall!
McNally: Jason Freeman got caught, just proving again that Fleming is not your ordinary referee.
Cole lifts Wellington up, only to be caught in an inside cradle...
...

...
...Ryan Cole kicks out at one! Boosted by his quick escape, the Pride of England throws Wellington into the ropes with a great deal of force, leapfrogging him upon his immediate rebound, ducking under as TW bounces off the close side ropes. Wellington, though, stops himself short of a big back body drop as he holds onto the ropes, and then leaps over, tagging Boreanaz back in. The Belgrade Bruiser enters the ring, facing off with Cole, but finds himself facing off against both Cole and Freeman, who stands alongside his Ascenancy teammate. Undeterred, Boreanaz bounces off the ropes, charging straight at his foes, and takes both men down with a double lariat! Freeman jumps up, looking mainly to get back out of the ring, but Boreanaz, seemingly fighting with the power of ten men, hoists him up into a powerbomb, and sends him bouncing off the corner turnbuckle with a sickening thud!
Edison: Aww, that's the champ! You can't treat the champ like that!
Cole stands back up, right into a roaring elbow, and Boreanaz makes a throat cutting gesture, picking his opponent up, setting up for a backdrop suplex. Before the dangerous move can connect, Cole throws a furious set of short punches, hooking a leg to avoid the lift. As Boreanaz lets go, Cole turns around, hooking an arm over his head, setting up for the Manebreaker lifting neckbreaker. Unfortunately for the Ascendancy member, Boreanaz hooks a leg upon the lift, and throws a series of forearms to the midsection, finishing out with a headbutt to break the grip. The two rush forward, landing a simultaneous lariat, Cole getting the worst of it, but Boreanaz is noticeably affected, stumbling back to his own corner, and tagging Wellington in. McNally: That could very well be the momentum changer in this match, Boreanaz used every last bit of his remarkable strength to get back to that corner.
Cole tries to stand up, but Wellington closes in fast, and pulls him back by the ankle. "Money" tries to lock in a Boston Crab, only for Cole to roll back over, kicking him off. The two reach their feet, Cole going for an armdrag, which Wellington rolls through, landing directly in the path of the tag.
Edison: A very smart move by Theodore, keeping Cole from making the tag!
Although blocked, Cole does not give up, throwing a big punch, knocking Wellington back, and makes a last ditch effort for the tag. As he goes past, though, TW catches him by the shoulders, and leaps up, landing a thunderous Bounced Check double knee backbreaker! Cole, utterly annihilated, bounces off the impact...just in range for Freeman to make the tag. Wellington starts to stand up, taking one knee...right in time for Freeman to step off it and land the Shining Axe Kick! The champion covers for the pin...

...3!
Phillip Jones: And your winners, Senator Steve Phillips, Ryan Cole, and YOUR ACW World Heavyweight Champion, Jason Freeman, the Ascendancy!
The crowd cheers loudly, even if they may not much like the winning team, they can always appreciate a hard fought contest, and let the wrestlers know as such. Freeman stands up, seemingly basking in the glow of victory, but shakes his head and gestures as if throwing a bag of garbage in the can, hardly reciprocating the generosity of the audience.
McNally: Not a very nice way to react, but then again, Jason Freeman didn't win that belt by being a nice guy.
Edison: Forget that, this was a heck of a match tonight, you don't see this sort of match on free television too often! This is the sort of contest that the fans should have to pay for!
McNally: Just goes to show the competitive nature of ACW, it doesn't matter if it's a Warfare or Omega Effect, it's a match, and these fighters will go all out to win.
Ascendancy continues with their trend of victories, but can they continue on their dominant streak? One way to find out...
McNally: Whoa, hold on for one second! I'm getting word that there's something going on in the back, and it involves Chris Phenomenal...Cameras are back there, and hopefully we can stay on the air long enough to see the footage!

Enter the Turncoat! (CP)
To begin this evening, Chris Phenomenal vowed to make a difference and with Maxwell McNally calling the cut to the back, certainly this must be it. Sure enough, it is as he looks down the camera lens, peering seemingly into your soul.
Chris: “I swore I would make an impact, that I would begin my rise to the top once more. I pondered long and hard about how to do this, and I returned to the past, to a happier time alongside Senator Steven Phillips. Alas, he taught me a valuable lesson, one passed down from Edmund Burke, that those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it.”
The camera pans down and below Chris Phenomenal reveals a bloodied TJ, and next to him, a steel chair coated in his blood. There is no sign of movement from him as the camera comes back up to Chris' smiling face.
Chris: “Yet there is no fun in simply repeating the past, so instead of the whodunit that lasted three months with Dave Shadow, I'm simply going to reveal myself to you all this week as the attacker of TJ.
You see, for years he has lived in my shadow, clinging onto my coattails and weighing me down. Everywhere I turn, there's TJ, his inferiority complex running rampant once more, seeking a measure of validation by finally defeating Chris Phenomenal. I've spent the past six months in the shadow of defeat, or apathy and most of all, reluctance to take a stand for myself. Driven mad by the plot of The Scorpion, I turned my attention from simply making an impact by my actions, and instead seeking to do it through my madness.
I am not a biblical scholar, I do not follow a religious rite and could care less about what the afterlife has in store for me. I've seen to many people lose there life in devotion to a faux presence, bound into slavery by a merciful deity who they say grants them freedom.
Yet their are lessons to be learned in what has happened the past six months. Instead of simply being about making people fear me for what I will do to them, I am no capable of making them fear what I could do to them. Tonight, it is the former, yet in the future it could be the latter.”
Looking down at TJ again, the camera pans out to the side revealing the boots of two other men off to Chris' flank.
Chris: “Yet I do not come alone this time. I learned from my solo crusade that their is strength in numbers. My affiliation with the Senatorial Stable lead to prosperity, yet when Senator cast me lose to make an impact by myself, he did not mean that I had to go it alone. Instead, it was simply to step out of his shadow and take the reigns of leadership myself.
Time after time, the greatest men in ACW have been flanked by a supporting cast. When you reach the top, everyone is gunning for you and having men to protect your back is a necessity. If I am – no – when I reach the top again, I will need that group and tonight, I present to you the first act at our hands.”
Panning up, the camera reveals Frank Washington as the crowd jeers, the Revolutionary Turncoat finally showing his true colors once more in ACW. Chris smiles at the response before the camera turns to the right and focus' in on someone yet unseen to the ACW audience.
Chris: “Frank Washington and Cross, two of the greatest wrestlers to ever lace up a pair of boots, but more importantly, two men who are willing to do anything necessary to achieve their goals. We are destined for greatness, destined to reach the top of ACW once more and that, is a promise.”
Frank and Cross both come into view and all three men grab hold of TJ and cake their hands in blood before holding them up to the camera, as all three men speak.
All Three: “One, made in blood.”
The camera pans down to TJ and fades off the air, a new power group in ACW formed.
End of Show.

Yeah, nice main event. Overall a show that was clearly lacking in a lot of guys, which is depressing . But in any case, I am not really worried. Because when TJ comes back, when Dan's internet is working again, when Buddy Ghee gets a feud, and hopefully when guys like Wellington and Cole reappear (and maybe even Boreanaz?) then we'll be pretty set. Also no Scorpion this show surprisingly. Ah well. Also sorry for no feedback last week, but I will try to get some up this week.

I looked forward to this mostly for Thiago Gracie and another Victory by Armbar. Mildly disappointed, but all is not a total loss as I did get to at least see a segment for them. Other than that, the show does seem kinda light as Freeman pointed out, but I suppose it's bound to happen from time to time.
I'll look forward to next week though! More Victory by Armbar!

Another Warfare, another enjoyable show. The main event was a great read and I always enjoy reading all the segments Warfare has to offer as well. I have to agree with The One in wanting to see more "Victory By Armbar!" since the Tag Team of Gloriousness has been a team I have particularly enjoyed reading since my return here. Looking forward to another good week ahead.

Heh, nice to see that's what I'm known for. I stayed back from the show deliberately in order to put over Scorpion's injuries from the week before. Just as CP was gone last week to heal, Scorpion was doing the same this week. If you really want a segment I can write one up and have it inserted in. Just let me know guys.

And if anyone is complaining about the length, try reading fucking Introduction to Microeconomics ... three fucking chapters for tomorrow.
