Freeman Feedback
Again a short one this week. Until the end of the summer, these will probably be like this but hey it’s something right!
Couldn’t Do it Alone (Cole/Taylor) – I love the Taylor/Cole interaction. Taylor is a horrible person, BTW. I think Taylor has found a great role for himself, and it is really interesting to see how he interacts with basically anybody. He also plays an interesting dynamic in Ascendancy, with his obvious own agenda.
Separate Paths (CP/Senator) – The BFF’s are no longer friends
. How sad. Well anyways, it’s cool to see the interaction between these two and especially CP’s new attitude about Senator, considering their past interaction. I know that CP is on a sort of break right now, and therefore has not exactly been writing up to his full potential, so I don’t blame him. Still, though, I wish he had been doing this angle under his full potential because it would have worked very well for him, and right now isn’t as good as it could have been. But it can’t be helped, he deserves the break. I hope when he comes back the more crazy CP will still be around.
A Champion’s Entrance (Taylor) – For some reason I didn’t love it, but I have no idea why really. Anyways, I think Taylor is going to do a great job with the ET title regardless.
One Shot? (Cole) – Probably not one of his best, but I liked it anyways. I liked his obsession with the belt, especially after holding it and getting so close. Perhaps one day he shall hold it for real.
Something Old, Something New, Someone who’ll be black and blue (TJ) – I’ve been noticing TJ’s stuff has seemed slightly uninspired lately, and I’m wondering if there’ something going on with him over the past few weeks. I feel a bit of his momentum may be slipping that he had won going into OE, so I hope he regains it. Anyways, I suppose the TJ vs steel chair thing is amusing. Is he actualy going to do a segment with that this week?
Prepared to Lose? (Ivan) – I like the bodyguard storyline with Wellington because as I think I said before, it’s not something you see too often with two actual people. So, anyways, I like the idea of them being prepared to leave Wellington, and wanting to negotiate for more money. It’s an interesting character, but perhaps a limited one.
It’s okay to copy! (Thiago) – Thiago is win and definitely the best thing Sen does comedy wise, much funnier than the Capitalists. Jake Cheng should get some calcs for his promo being used!
I’m gonna be confused for a lil’ bit (TJ/Taylor) – Interesting. I like that you really don’t know whether Daphne is playing TJ, or playing Taylor. Or both <_<. You aren’t sure which one she is being honest to, and what her true agenda is. She’s a pretty interesting character. I like that the TJ/Taylor feud will continue because there is tons of potential for greatness there.
Recordbreakers (Steele/TJ) – Some good interaction here, and TJ is actually writing a lot for this show, so I take back what I said about him being weak lately, though I do still feel a slight loss in momentum. Will TJ actually break the record? I can’t really see it, but I suppose it’s possible. This was slightly out of order I guess with the Ascendancy seg, but I got these late, and everything was already in place so whatever. I do like the implication that Steele and TJ could help each other out in the future.
Some Unnamed Seg by CP and TJ (CP/TJ) – Is every single TJ seg going to start with him saying some line about the chair? <_<. This seg was weird to me, not one of their best interactions IMO, and I didn’t really get the ending line.
ACW’s newest tag team of gloriousness (Laron/Thiago) – 0_0. That was strange yet awesome. It could help to have SOME sort of color or bold or format for SOMEBODY, since it got confusing at times. But it was definitely funny if not unexpected. Weird seeing Thiago interacting with other superstars, especially Laron.
Fucking Welsh (Dan) – Well that was a short lived team. I didn’t like the team anyways, since I guess Sgt. Pilko must be a really old character, because I don’t remember him, and I thought he was a new guy when Dan used him in January. And now he’s Dan’s brother. I don’t know if it was always like that, but it was weird to me. And Dan is doing better things now anyways as himself.
Unleash Me (Magog) – It started. Then it stopped. Magog yelled at ME for some reason in chat about this, but Im assuming he was trolling <_<. Anyways we may never know who he was because I haven’t seen him at all since then.
A Standard that No one can Attain (Taylor) – What would Jon Taylor be without long ranty paragraphs? XD. Anyways, I definitely think Jon Taylor is more interesting this run than last run, even though his character is very different. I like his arrogance, and think that he did a great job here, though I don’t love these standard interview promos. I know everybody needs to have them, and its not that I don’t like reading them, but they don’t give me much to say in feedback.
Red Eyed Ambition (Red/Steele) – It’s fun to see Steele interacting with everybody, but I hope he gets to have a long seg this week or next with somebody who he has a big history with. I think that would be fun to read, though he did have the Ascendancy interruption earlier.
Changes (Dan/Senator) – A great seg, that really does a good job of showing Dan’s motivations as he makes his heel turn. It’s been, as Dan said, a very long time since he’s been a heel, so it will be fun to read it again (though I’ve always thought he made a very good face, possibly a better one than a heel.) The Dan/Senator feud has tons of promise if it goes on for long enough, as their last one before OE was as I remember very strong. Definitely a good step for Dan’s character though.
So a very strong show overall. ACW is coming along very nicely, continuing to ascend. It is sad that some of our midcarders have been disappearing, like Buddy Ghee for example. There are tons of experienced people right now, but a lot of newer guys don’t tend to stick around for very long. Id assume Ghee is still here, but it’s been a while since he’s really written. Anyways, there is much potential in the future for the fed as a whole if this keeps up.
