Possibly the latest ever...Freeman Feedback
As Ive said the summer is pretty crazy for me, and that’s why feedback hasn’t been so great or timely (not that it’s EVER on time, but recently more than ever.) Ill do this, but it might be a bit less than I usually write. We’ll see what happens. Anyways, sorry about not writing the main event…but for those who are wondering it was a close match, with both men taking out their frustrations on each other, and in the end Freeman just barely got the win after a competitive match.
Anyways, so last show before the (postponed in case you didn’t read the show topic yet) supercard – Hello Goodbye II! Get to writing if you haven’t!
Dinner for Two? (Ryan Cole/Jon Taylor) – well a drunk Cole was an interesting choice, lol, but an entertaining one. Don’t you love how close our stable is? Anyways, Taylor/Cole have only had two or so segments together but both have been strong. It just serves to further that screwed up dynamic. I liked Cole riding high off of having beaten Mainer as it makes sense for him to do so, having defeated the world champion while still a relative rookie. And the Taylor/Daphne relationship still remains intriguing.
What’s up, Doc? (Dan White) – Hey, it’s Dan! Not much to say with so short a segment, just that it’s nice to see Dan writing again, with some solo segs. I was worried he actually wouldn’t return once he said he was at Omega Effect, but look at that! He has! The Senator/White storyline has enough history to not need much of a buildup to be interesting, so I think it’s fine that it is very underplayed.
Irony at its Cruelest (TJ) – Feedbacked this on MSN already. Would normally write it out here, but don’t really have time. TJ knows already what I thought of it.
Final Word (Ryan Cole) – This was the type of promo that for some reason works short. I liked it. He did exactly what he should have. He acknowledged the beatdown afterwards but downplayed it in favor of talking about his win over the world champion, which makes tons of sense, and therefore makes him look good as a result.
Still Alive? (Criminal) - As Dan White said in chat, Criminal has come a long way over time. He still has a long way to go, but his improvement is noted from his debut. I thought this segment was pretty good, and I thought he was gone for good, so I’m happy to see that isn’t necessarily the case. I don’t think he was ready for the ET title when he won it, but he could be in the future.
Educating the Masses (Laron Xavier) – That was…interesting <_<. I think that this was what I envisioned a Laron/Buddy feud would be like, so I think it worked better than last week with more time for Laron to take some shots at Buddy. This would be great if Buddy does respond to it later. I can’t remember though whether or not Buddy ever got his segment into the show. I hope so, because if he did, I think the Laron/Buddy feud also works pretty well going into the supercard as just that feud where they just talk about each other on the mic, then wrestle.
Bitch is Back (Mystique) – I wish the Rena character would just come back, not the Mystique one…but whatever. That was an interesting swerve <_< with her being there to replace Charlotte. I doubt it’ll happen, but hey, it’s worth a storyline I guess. Rena was best during her partnership with TK during the SLA storyline, but whenever a storyline gets going, Rena’s stuff is always great. So I don’t know how much Rena is going to be writing, but if a storyline is able to happen over the course of a month or so, some good stuff could be in the future. This segment wasn’t particularly interesting I suppose, but it set up for the future.
Ongoing Negotiations (Ivan Boreanaz) – Hey no colors
. Well that’s okay. I actually really liked this one. I like the whole contract negotiation storyline that he has going on. I don’t know why but it works for me, and this segment was very effective. It was just a fun read, I like this angle.
Words for the not-so-wise (TJ) – Another segment I already feedback’d for TJ
The One Man I Respect (CP/Dan White) – Good seg, that perhaps could have been even better. Don’t know exactly how. But in any case, I like CP’s storyline, because it’s something a bit different, and it makes him have a good role in the show. Just wish he was doing more with it. Just writing more and making himself stick out a bit this month, since he’s sorta fading in with everyone else.
This is Your Fault (Mr. Red) – lol. I love this ridiculously angry Red gimmick. It’s hilarious (And I still don’t know if that’s intentional or not) It’s so over-the-top angry. But it’s fun to read.
TJ/Dan pre-match seg (Dan/TJ) – lol. Yay for old guys! Nah, it’s nice to see Dan back and he had a good promo. I liked the transition to Senator. I also like impromptu matches that aren’t on the card sometimes, so this was interesting. Dan White has been around forever, and he’s always good.
The Celestial Hierarchy: Level 2 – Archangels (Scorpion) – Scorpion is one crazy dude <_<. I am really wondering what will happen when Scorpion kills all these “levels” of heretics or whatever. It’s a confusing storyline I guess, but its interesting. He’s a pretty insane guy as I said. I liked Scorpion’s views on guys like Chris Phenomenal, and Laron Xavier, as he views them through his warped mind. It was fun to read.
Firing of the First Shot (Wellington/Cole) – Wellington out for revenge. It’s an interesting storyline. I like the Wellington/Ivan partnership. This wasn’t my favorite part of the night though, I feel like more interesting things will happen along the line however. Wellington will never get Ascendancy! We’re too great!
Madness is Poetrey (CP) – I didn’t think this was as good as it could have been. Maybe it’s the lack of the color playing with my mind, but CP hasn’t seemed to be quite as good as he was a bit in the past. I do miss the green though, I guess he got rid of it to match the storyline? I dunno. But in any case, I DO like the storyline. And I liked the disturbing beatdown after Scorpion’s match as well.
Bitchin’ Won’t Get You Nowhere (Buddy Ghee) – Oh good he did get this in. Didn’t think it was one of his best segments, but at least it was some return fire against Xavier to make their match that much more interesting at Hello Goodbye II.
Warning (Wellignton) – I liked Hawthorne’s stance. That made sense. Did a good job of hyping the Ascendancy/Wellington angle, and everything made sense. So good stuff.
Game On (Taylor/TJ) – I honestly didn’t like this so much just because the ending made no sense to me. First of all TJ gets knocked down with a chair, he gets up. He gets knocked down with a low blow. What is his reaction to all this? Commenting on Daphne and Taylor’s weird relationship. Honestly if I get chairshotted and low blow’d, I don’t get up after being denied revenge (because they have left) and go “Hmm that was weird” while watching a video of them. So I thought that kinda killed the segment, but everything besides that was fine.
Anyways that’s that. As I said, my feedback won't be so great during the summer. It will be sort of rushed. And I think I’m getting too positive here, I need to start getting more harsh! Lol, I started out with too harsh feedback, now I like everything! That’s gotta change! Anyways, one last time I will ask everybody to continue to contribute to tomorrow’s show, since it can really use some quality segments from everybody on the roster.
