THE LATER THE GREATER...Freeman Feedback
OE draws closer and closer. Yeah! Anyways, I’m short on time so let’s get to it. OH! And this is an anniversary show.
Protest (Wellington/TJ) – Pretty good segment, continuing the rivalry of TJ and Wellington, a pair that I hope continues to fight for the ET championship down the line. Nice to see The Crucible brought up again as I feel the attention to its buildup could have been much higher recently. Of course the match didn’t happen because of Wellington’s computer problems, but I’ll assume The Southern Smashers will NOT be in the Crucible, and therefore I’ll assume that after fighting between the teammates, TJ and Wellington overcame the odds of their mutual hatred to win the match, and probably got in each other’s faces afterwards debating who will win at OE. There we go, I filled in the blanks. Anyways, both these men have a shot at OE, so good luck to them.
Time is No Limit (Ryan Cole) – Like Mainer said I really like Cole’s character, and hope to see him develop it further in time. This promo could have used some proofreading however. Mostly sentence structure and punctuation. A lot of commas where there should have been periods, leading to a lot of awkward lines. For example “but for me? Its different time is no limit for me I’m only limited by the oppertunites I’m given and tonight is a big opportunity, and even if I’m not given an opportunity, I’ll make one” stands out. There should be a period after “It’s different”, and after “for me.” And the first “opportunities” is misspelled. I mean I am sure I’m not immune to typos and awkward sentences myself, but I’m just saying a second look over the promo probably could have fixed it. Still love Ryan Cole though, and looking forward to watching his development, especially now that we shall be working together, as anybody could fathom by reading the end of the show.
So Disrespectful (Criminal) – Not sure his plan for getting past the guard was very credible, but Mainer is absolutely right by saying Criminal has improved by a great amount since his debut, and if anybody was to read his first few segments the difference would be instantly obvious. Criminal has won the Entertainment Championship in the past, and at the time I didn’t think he was ready for that. If he keeps it up at this rate however, soon he will be. And then I think he may be able to get a strong title reign he wasn’t able to have the first time. So congrats to Criminal for improving.
Second Class (Ryan Cole) – I liked this one a lot. I liked it better than the first one. The dialogue was good, and I liked his line about second-rate interviewers. This of course would lead to him later on joining in the beatdown on BK London, and I thought he furthered his side of the angle very well, so good job. Also, I dunno, this can go either way. I get the whole remembering thing is the whole point of his character, the basis around it. And I really like it a lot. I just don’t know if he should talk about it every single segment he does. I feel like after a while it starts to get old, but maybe that’s just me. Like I said, I like his desire to be remembered, and all that, I’m just saying he doesn’t need to mention it EVERY segment. He definitely should not drop it though, it’s a great character.
Oh-Mega Effects (TJ) – Very strong interview by TJ. Long. Maybe too long? But he had a lot to say. I echo his sentiments in the beginning about The Crucible. Buildup has been very slow, with only three people announced, and I am hoping it all comes together in time. Where has VorteX been? I was happy he’d returned but now he’s disappeared once more? Ah well, here’s to hoping things pick up with this match soon. And then TJ talks about Criminal and does a good job as well. Then he moves on to the Rookie Rumble match. TJ’s got a lot going on. I am still a big TJ fan.
Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell (Scorpion) – For it is “Hear” that the seeds of nature bear fruit? Hear? COME ON SCORPION, I EXPECT BETTER FROM YOU! And his long black “PAINTS”?! MY GOD SCORPION! Scorpion DISSAPOINTS me this show. AND THEN “HE RELEASES HE RAT”? Scorpion FAILS this show. ZERO, SCORPION! ZERO! See I told you one day I’d just tear apart your segment. Can’t be too predictable, can I? And it must get boring every week to find out you’re great. SO THIS SHOW I WILL TALK ABOUT HOW SLOPPY AND UNPROOFREAD YOUR SEGMENT IS! AND HOW IT IS A DISGRACE TO ALL OF HUMANITY AND ACW! Just kidding <_<. And whatever charge Scorpion plans to read, it sounds interesting. Still would like to see more Scorpion interaction with other people and in storylines with others.
I Wish I Knew (Buddy Ghee) – I again agree with Mainer. I liked Buddy’s attitude, but didn’t like the way Hawthorne was betrayed, and punching the chairman is not something you do without expecting extreme repercussions. If that angle goes somewhere, then ok, but if it is not going to then I don’t think that makes a lot of sense. Hawthorne has always been portrayed as a pretty strong chairman.
The First Act of the Carnival: The Man in the Box (Panther) – Panther still uses “too” instead of “to” like all the time. And XD at the beginning italics about me. Fair enough! For some reason I like Candyman, which is weird, since he really isn’t my type of character at all. I dunno. It’s definitely better than Panther’s previous characters, which I think I said last week. Much like Wayde who is much better as Wellington, I think this character should stay. Does it have a future and can it work in feuds? We’ll have to see. But it definitely has potential.
Super Game-Con XGK9-2010 (Mainer/Senator) – From the title this segment sounds like it will be fun. Let’s find out! Well, it was a random segment for sure…and while again, I usually don’t like those I thought this one was pretty good. I wonder how much of this Senator actually edited. I’m assuming barely any if he touched it at all, but in any case, it was good, and I loved Mainer consistently calling them by the wrong Japanese names.
Feeling the (Omega) Effects (TJ) – Come on TJ you already made a dumb Omega Effect pun in a segment title this very show! A simple little segment to announce a promising sounding match for OE, but with the recent news about XS3 leaving (which I hope isn’t true), that upcoming match loses much importance…Anyways, I don’t like people breaking Hawthorne’s door. Mainer does it too. Why would Hawthorne not punish people for that? Anyways though, TJ’s had a good night tonight regardless.
Shady Aftermath (Criminal) – I didn’t really notice until Mainer said it, but lol at Criminal being found out by the TV, and being seen on TV on the phone, and then as soon as he hangs up saying he can’t believe that she believed him. I don’t even know if that was intentional, but I hope so because that was hilarious.
Flashback (Mainer) – AGH! NOOOOOOO! THE BLUE TEXT! THE BLUE TEXT IS BACK! I have horrible XS3 related flashbacks whenever I see that retina-burning blue text! GRRRRR! I lol’d at the AJ Styles reference in the opening italics. Those lyrics suck so much, but I love them. Anyways, I still like the marriage angle. I never got much of the whole Raymond King thing, I always thought he was a weird NPC, so I wasn’t too excited to see him again. But in any case, it worked well enough.
You Are…? (The Dan) – Interesting. Definitely way different than like…Silencio and stuff. I liked it, I just want to see where this is going, as there are many different ways it could go. You have got my interest. There are many different paths that this character could take, so I look forward to seeing what there is in the future. As with many introductions of characters, it is kind of hard to form an opinion until you see more. I really can’t tell what I think of it yet, but it is definitely interesting, and I liked this segment.
So anyways, my biggest problem with this show is it did NOT feel like an anniversary show. I did nothing for that either, so I’m just as much to blame as everybody, but I didn’t like that there was no focus on the anniversary aspect. Lack of CP really has hurt this month, I wonder what’s been going on with him. Anyways though, pretty decent show. Hope to see OE feuds heat up next week.
