Coming at your computer screen every week, without fail…wait…what? What do you mean I didn’t do it last week? Er…I mean…uh…I…uh…well….I—Freeman Feedback
I have not read this show yet but I do know we have a title change in store for us, so I look forward to seeing how things come together. Fallen Heroes is approaching steadily and who will take that crown? That is yet another thing we must find out.
GOD BUDDY, NAME YOUR FRICKIN SEGMENTS ALREADY!!! (Buddy Ghee) – Buddy Ghee does not like segment titles. Or Danny Mainer. I have a lot in common with Buddy Ghee. Kidding <_<. Also Gary has totally gotten a win at some time or another, Im sure of it. Anyways, Buddy Ghee continues his trend of solely short segments, which as I said works on occasion but not every show as it doesn’t allow for the character to be really fleshed out or anything when all he has is short reactions to things. I would assume once Buddy gets into a deeper feud however this will change, and as short segments go I liked this one because it had a reason to be short. I liked the idea of Buddy probably about to go on some huge rant, only for Phillip to start reading the match introductions causing him to have to bolt, however it would have been funnier if he hadn’t done similar length segments every week. That’s just me though. I don’t want Buddy to think I don’t like his segments because I complain about this every week because what’s there is good, and I’m not saying you have to be Scorpion with a 500 page philosophy textbook at the beginning of each promo, but you know…just my two cents.
The TJ Saga, Pt.1 (CP) – THE TJ SAGA? ALRIGHT, I GET TO READ A TJ SEGMENT AGAIN! YES! ALRIGHT, HERE WE---oh. It’s just Chris Phenomenal. Darn. (I do remember scanning through earlier and seeing he didn’t make any Freeman shots this week though so maybe I should stop with CP lines?) Argh, must resist urge to comment on CP “Choking on a man known as Dark Tiger.” Ah, whatever. The line speaks for itself. Alright here’s my take on the segment. I do like that you brought up the history between you and TJ. People in ACW who were not in whatever the heck fed that was obviously don’t know about it and it could easily help add some heat to your match later and make it seem very very important. My problem was in the way it was done. Im assuming this is a copy and paste of one of your promos from said fed, just assuming. I didn’t like that you put the whole thing in, as if the whole audience is going to watch a whole CP in-ring promo that mostly is not that relevant. The part about that Tyson Phoenix guy and your statements to him are really not important, and including the whole segment was kind of excessive and unnecessary. Giving the cliffnotes of what happened would probably be better, at least for me, as I found it hard to get interested in the segment as it was. I dunno, again Im making it sound like it was horrible which it wasn’t, I just am not sure I like the way it was done, though the intent of the segment of telling some of the history of you and TJ (which I assume has more coming up) was a good idea.
My Own Personal Drama (TJ) – Hey, it IS TJ. Now, my negative for this one was I don’t like it when wrestlers bring up wrestling stereotypes (the part about him thinking they’d go through that rivals as tag partners thing) though it works sometimes, depending on who’s saying it and in what context. I was mixed on that part in this case, but overall this segment made me sad that TJ is taking a break or whatever. I really thought you’d do great things for the Entertainment Championship and seeing one of your segments again made me more sure that you would have had a great reign, and I always saw a lot of potential. But if you want a break, you’re entitled. It was a good segment though that hyped up the main event well. Nice to see a TJ segment once more.
Theodore Wellington Open Challenge (Theodore Wellington – Well, everyone loves a good open challenge. The first part with the ref I think could have been a much better idea if you gave an award for beating Wellington as I don’t see why a referee would have anything to gain from beating Wellington. Wellington’s this rich guy if he’s really so confident, I think this would have made more sense if there was a cash prize if you were to beat him, which could motivate a referee to try if it was big enough and I think that would have made the segment funnier and make more sense. Then the next part…AH. THE RETURN OF WAYDE RUSELER…er….RUSELLER….er…RUSSELER…er…RUSSELLER? AGH, who cares, it’s that cowboy guy! No longer brainwashed by AC Evans I see <_<. Good. I liked how you buried Wayde to get Wellington over. <_<. Might as well, I suppose. Overall this whole thing did make Wellington go up a few spots as a heel in my eyes so good job with that.
The TJ Saga, Pt. 2 (CP) – I hope this doesn’t just have another copy and pasted segment from some past federation…Oh, it does. Whatever. It especially didn’t work here. As I said it doesn’t make sense to include the parts about TJ. Why is it relevant about you talking about your other opponent and your partner? We don’t know who these people are and it doesn’t matter, as all that matters is your history with TJ, which at this point is not much more advanced than it was the last time, and to be honest it seemed kind of lazy to just copy and paste a whole segment even if it made no sense to do so. I would have rather seen clips of your matches with CP giving a monologue about their history rather than this. I dunno, I get what you were trying to do but I don’t really think it worked.
A Warning of Regular Proportions (TJ) – I just noticed TJ has no pictures anymore! Where’s the pretentious segment title things?
I feel like the TJ I know and love is GONE! Really liked this segment though as I know where it’s going later, and I think this set it up awesomely. TJ steps too far with the chairman and then he gets owned later on. If TJ wasn’t leaving for a break I’d say I can’t wait to see where the storyline goes from here but I guess this is going to be all we get for now. Either way though really really nice set up for what’s going to occur later, and I enjoyed it even without a little picture at the beginning.
Here Comes the Money (Theodore Wellington) – This segment was a bit similar (without the money part) to Freeman and Hawthorne just two weeks ago, with Freeman attempting to negotiate with Hawthorne about the Senator situation so I FEEL VERY RIPPED OFF RIGHT NOW WELLINGTON! Nah, it was good though, I was happy Hawthorne did not accept though. We all know what happens later on in the show with Criminal, and so Im assuming there is going to be a title match now in that cage match? I hope so.
Scorpion doesn’t name his segments either (Scorpion) – Yay, philosophy novel time. Anyways, how many different ways can I tell Scorpion he’s awesome? It’s too bad really that Kris has gotten busy with work and will be unable as of now to write, because that feud was so good for Scorpion AND Kris. Scorpion by himself is good, but with the right person to feud with it makes him even better, as there’s only so far one can go with only solo promos and no interaction, and the interaction between Kris and Scorpion was perfect for him. I hope he can find somebody else to work with. It makes me wish Adrian Flamingo was still here as they would have a great feud as well. I hope this doesn’t set Scorpion back too much…
The TJ Saga, Pt. 3 (CP) – Not much else to say besides what’s up there. As I said, it was good to build this up throughout the show but perhaps not the best way to do it. Its better than doing nothing however.
A Shocker (CP/TJ) – Good ending storyline wise, but I don’t think the ET title should have gone to Criminal, for the simple reason that he has been inactive! It should have probably gone to Wellington, but in any case he gets a shot soon so whatever, we’ll see what happens then. But I did like the storyline things that happened with TJ and CP and Criminal.
Ok so that wraps up that show. Look guys, we have a decent roster but when one person writes one week another one misses. If we were all to write at once we’d be pretty solid. Now what happened to XS3 and Mainer this show? Apparently Mainer was supposed to have that segments and that would have made the whole show much stronger over all. Then there are Dave and Senator, who I ASSUME will be writing more soon. Now this is a tough time for a lot of people, exams and the like. So let’s not worry about the shortened shows for now as what else do you expect? We get through this time period and then Im sure many people will have more time for writing and more ability to focus on it. So let’s not worry, we’re alright, but just let’s keep trekking past this period and hopefully things will look up going into Omega Effect.
