Way better than Against All Odds..
It's....
Freeman Feedback
I usually say some random things in the beginning, but have nothing to say so let’s just GET RIGHT DOWN TO IT THEN.
Official Confirmation (Dave Shadow) – Fine intro to the show has Hawthorne announces once again the main event of Ragnarok, making it official. It’s still weird having Ragnarok in February, and I guess Ragnarok is no longer an elimination tag PPV <_<. Anyways, that main event is still really exciting, seeing it written again, however since VorteX won’t be writing…and Jefferson seems to have dropped off the earth, it gets a bit less exciting. Ah well <_<. Anyways, fine beginning to the show.
Pre-Match Starvation (Criminal) – Criminal, really, you are improving, but you could benefit immensely from just a simple proofread. I mean, I can understand typos but usually you have millions of them. I mean, I know it’s not that big a deal, but going through and fixing the misspelled words, making sure to use the right punctuation (question marks, etc), and stuff can really make your promos feel much better. They come off as sorta awkward sometimes mostly because of all the typos and such things. You could come off as much better if you would just fix that up, but as I said you’re stuff now is better than your stuff was when you first came in.
War! Huh! Yeah, what is it good for? (Dave Shadow/TJ) – Wait…whoa…TJ is the “other founder member of Renaissance”? Hate to break it to ya guys, but…you’ve only GOT two members <_< Nice segment. I loved TJ’s line that Criminal couldn’t get into his head if his skull was cracked open. Ha! Anyways, this segment solidified Dave and TJ I guess as the front lines of ACW as it stands right now, and I suppose Renaissance is supposed to be like a force for ACW or something. That’s how I see it now, and at least that’s better than before when they were just a group for no reason. Now that they seem to have a cause I can finally get behind them. So I liked that. And I dunno, It was just a good segment. Did a lot of hyping…Ragnarok, tonight’s main event…I mention over and over how much I like when people hype the main event. So yeah, really solid segment. I really need to find a Shadow segment to tear apart or something, as I don’t think I’ve ever had anything negative to say about one yet <_<. Shadow, write something bad for next week, ok?
Do As I Say…Or Suffer the Consequences (CP/Siano/TK) – SLA fans suck. I personally would have wanted the Chris/TK storyline to have a different resolution then it did, but in any case this segment was pretty good. TK’s lines during the beatdown were good, so yeah. As I said I didn’t think the storyline should have ended quite like this, or at least not quite at this time, but for what it was I liked it.
Tonight I Bring The Thunder (CP/Senator) – CP’s an idiot. I hope he gets a concussion for this. Anyways, things have certainly heated up fast here in the whole TK/CP deal. So I suppose now CP will go for some revenge. I dunno who to root for. But the ending of the segment was good. Also CP’s interactions with the Capitalists are usually pretty funny. His interactions with Senator are usually hit or miss, but this time it was pretty good.
Allies, now Enemies (Shadow/TK) – The bold text and Shadow’s bold descriptions were weird together…as they looked the same. TK/Shadow segments were much cooler with TK’s old text (WHICH SHOULD RETURN.) Anyways, you see, THIS is why I hated when Mainer was the “face of ACW”. It just didn’t work. THIS works. TK vs Shadow. That is an interesting combo! And this segment was really good because Dave Shadow IS the ACW guy and TK IS the SLA guy, and watching them argue their respective viewpoints is just great and does so much for the storyline, while Mainer just hated TK. This is the way the storyline should be going and so I am happy this is how it has turned out. As you can tell, I liked this segment. I kind of wish there was a Shadow vs TK singles match to look forward to, but whatever. This is great too.
Clash of the Champions (Dave Shadow/Criminal) – I don’t know whether I have to Dave to attribute this to or not, but speaking for Criminal’s lines they were so much better than what he’s written in the past. Now, whether or not Dave wrote some of them or what, I think segments like this are good for you, Criminal, to work with some people like Shadow. Again, a lot of your lines here did not have the typos you have a lot and came off much much better as a result. So yes, I again say Criminal, that I bet if you proofread all your segments they would come off SO much better. And in this case there weren’t many typos so yeah. Pretty good segment, and I liked the argument, with Shadow telling Criminal about how TK only wants the title, and doesn’t care about Criminal. With Criminal then not believing it.
Say What? (Dreams Do Come True 2: Skies So Blue Pt. 1 (Train/Mainer) - Was this a reference to something? I have a feeling it was and without knowing what it was just kind of…weird. Mainer and Train always have these random segments like this, and to be honest I don’t really like them that much, because I usually find Train’s regular segments funnier. When it gets this wacky it just kinda feels dumb to me, but there were some funny lines in there. I’d probably enjoy it more if I knew what they were supposed to be referencing. Also, the fact that Train is SLA and Mainer is ACW. I know these segments are supposed to be like…not actually happening, but it makes more sense to do it at a bizarre show then just on a regular show.
What’s Wrong, Red (Red) – It was extremely short and felt kinda thrown together to me, but it was ok. Don’t leave, Red <_<. Red needs to go beat somebody up or something <_<. Poor new Red keeps losing.
Planning for the Future (Senator/CP) – This Paige story always feels sorta tacked on to me. I dunno because CP doesn’t seem to really have anything to do with it except for when the segment relates to it. It doesn’t seem to affect him in any way. Plus it doesn’t happen every week so when it does it feels kind of random. I feel like it’s been going on for a very long time but nothing has happened. Anyways, it’s also a bit confusing as I can’t really remember what happened in the beginning segments of it, mostly because some of them I was tired while reading, and now I am a bit confused. I think it would be good if CP could post some sort of recap, much like I used to say for VorteX’s stories. Senator being involved in this felt really weird to me. I dunno, I can’t picture him doing this stuff. But I dunno. This was mostly setup, I will wait to see what happens when it continues.
Enemy at the Gates (Train/Mainer/TK) - Once again, TK says despite being with SLA he is the highest selling merchandise guy. If anything it should logically be Dave Shadow, and so TK writing in his promo that it is him is again one of those TK shouldn’t be this popular right now as he is in SLA and a heel moments. Besides that the dialogue between Mainer and TK and between TK and Hawthorne were good. At first I didn’t buy Hawthorne’s logic but his ending line made sense to me, so I suppose I can buy it. My only complaint is how tacked on Thunder Train feels in all these TK segments. He gets these random one-liners but just does NOT feel like Thunder Train. Because he isn’t. He’s Thunderkiss, most likely writing Train’s lines. Here’s the thing, SLA has a bunch of people but a lot of them are not putting on any effort to have their own personality, and they just come off as props in Thunderkiss segments. It’s just like OCW all over again. Rena has been lately doing an awesome job of adding a different layer to the SLA storyline (though where has Rena been this show?) but Train especially is just there, and without his own segments he is just a shell, and a prop. I have a feeling Siano will end up the same way which is sad because Hughes is so good, but seemingly for some reason doesn’t want to write. TK needs people in his group that will flesh out the angle by being their own people, and characters. It’s obvious when TK is pulling all the weight.
Limits of Power (Senator) – Interesting. So we shall now see Hawthorne in action it seems. Surely, that can’t go well. This segment seemed kinda abrupt to me, and a bit random. As it seemed like Senator is just like yeah, I’m gonna face you in a match, okay? At the same time it is interesting. Can’t wait to see what’s going to go down next week, since surely Hawthorne will not be eager to attempt to wrestle the Senator.
Causing Quite a Stir (TJ/Criminal/Frank Washington) – I have a feeling TJ wrote a bunch of Criminal’s lines but still, this one was good. I liked the TJ/Criminal argument. There wasn’t much a feud that lead up to this title match so they created one. Criminal is a bit too much of a mark for TK though <_<. Anyways, good segment to lead into the main event.
Shit Just Got Serious, Son (TK/TJ/Rena/CP/TK/XS333333) – Ok, so this was interesting. I liked this a lot. The war between SLA and ACW is heating up. I liked pretty much this whole thing. The attack on TJ, Shadow coming out, Shadow vs TK, then CP with his attack and resulting speech, followed by of course XS333333333! To be honest I don’t care what XS3 said, just the fact that he was there made me mark out. I didn’t like Run Away but I DO like XS3 and nice to have him writing again. And he seems to be on Team ACW! Yay for that. Great ending of the show!
The ending of the show was great, and a lot of the buildup about the ACW vs SLA storyline was great as well, but unfortunately that seems to be mostly ALL that’s going on right now. The SLA vs ACW feud. What’s going to happen at Ragnarok? Just the main event? I dunno, some more needs to happen for the PPV. This show was pretty good. The people who are writing are doing a good job. The problem is the people who aren’t writing. Where’s Flamingo? And Jefferson? This main event at Ragnarok feels like a triple threat as VorteX is gone for a while, Jefferson and Smart have been scarcely here also lately. It had so much potential, but people are backing out of it unfortunately. SLA has a huge problem with not enough active participants, and that is a problem the ACW side doesn’t have. TK needs to get more people to commit. I am looking at YOU Train.
But anyways, if people get their act together then things could get well again. There is certainly room for some great things to happen. So yeah, let’s just keep moving forward.
